While the opening theme plays, we see the following clip:
Back inside, Baba reverses an Irish whip attempt, and connects with a big boot to the jaw of Tenryu as Genichiro shoots back off the ropes. Baba makes the cover, but only gets a 2-count. Tenryu is up first, and kicks Baba in the head as Shohei is getting back to his feet!
Tenryu continues to work over Baba, and eventually connects with an Enziguri! Baba doesn’t go down, he falls back into the corner, but as he stumbles out of the corner, Tenryu connects with another Enziguri, and this one puts Baba down on the mat for the 1, 2, 3!
KENJI WAKABAYASHI and TAKASHI YAMADA open the show.
They welcome us to this week’s episode of World Wrestling Kingdom!
This week’s feature bout will see the return of one of, if not THE, greatest tag team in the history of puroresu, B-I Cannon, Antonio Inoki and Giant Baba! They will join forces for the first time in almost two decades, to battle the rebellious duo of Genichiro Tenryu and Riki Choshu!
STAN HANSEN & DICK SLATER & TED DIBIASE defeat MASA FUCHI & ASHURA HARA & MIGHTY INOUE. The gaijin trio of Hansen, Slater and Dibiase are victorious again this week, as they run roughshod over the team of Fuchi, Hara and Inoue! In the end, Hansen hits Fuchi with a brutal Western Lariat for the pinfall.
TATSUMI FUJINAMI & TIGER MASK II defeat DYNAMITE KID & FIT FINLAY. Fujinami and Tiger Mask II were both stars in the Junior Heavyweight division, before moving up to heavyweight, so they’re able to match up with DK and Finlay quite well.
Fujinami and TM2 take the early advantage, but DK and Finlay turn the tables, then take turns working over Tiger Mask. There are a few anxious moments, where it looks like Tiger Mask might get pinned, but Fujinami is there to break up the cover!
In the end, Fujinami gets the upper hand, and after wearing Finlay down on the mat, Fujinami drives Finlay to the mat with the Dragon Suplex for the 1, 2, 3!
We see footage of Kintaro Oki defending the All-Asia title at a show in Seoul, South Korea. It’s announced that Oki will be defending the title soon in World Wrestling Kingdom!
WWK President Seiji Sakaguchi is in the ring, holding the WWK World championship belt!
Sakaguchi says that the King’s Road league will kick off on October 2 at the Ota Ward Gymnasium in Tokyo. 12 wrestlers will compete, with the winner being crowned the World champion!

YOSHIAKI YATSU battles TIGER JEET SINGH to a wild Double Count-Out. Tiger attacks Yatsu before the bell, but Yatsu is able to hold his own against the wildman!
Eventually they take the fight to the floor. Yatsu gets the upper hand, and sends Singh into the ringpost, however, when Yatsu goes to climb back into the ring, Singh grabs him and pulls him back to the floor, where they continue to brawl. Referee Joe Higuchi reaches the count of 20, and declares the match a double count-out!

GENICHIRO TENRYU & RIKI CHOSHU beat ANTONIO INOKI & GIANT BABA. Baba and Inoki team up for the first time in more than 15 years, to face Tenryu and Choshu here! The momentum goes back and forth early on, neither team can get much of an advantage.
A few minutes in, Baba catches Choshu coming off the ropes with the big boot to the jaw! Choshu crumples to the mat, and Baba covers him, with Tenryu just making the save at the last second! Baba then tears into Tenryu with chops and forearm shots. Choshu recovers, and helps Tenryu get the upper hand, and they double-team Baba until Inoki comes in. For the next few minutes, all four wrestlers battle in the ring, before Tiger Hattori finally manages to get order restored.
As the match progresses, Tenryu and Choshu gain a clear advantage, and in the end, Tenryu pins Inoki with a folding Powerbomb!
After the match, Tenryu takes the mic and says that in consecutive weeks, he’s pinned Giant Baba and Antonio Inoki, proving that he’s the top wrestler in the world today! He says that the next step is winning the King’s Road league, and becoming World champion!
