VTR: Two Weeks Ago on World Wrestling Kingdom:
As the match progresses, Inoki and Fujinami gain the upper hand, and they take turns working over Baba in the ring. At one point, Baba makes it to his corner to tag out, but Tenryu refuses to tag, telling Baba to get back in there and fight!
Finally, Fujinami hits Baba with the Dragon Suplex, and gets the 1, 2, 3!
Afterwards, Tenryu berates Baba, then starts slapping him around! Baba tries to fight back, but in his weakened state, he quickly gets beat down by Tenryu. Genichiro then pulls Baba up, and hits him with an Enziguri, leaving Baba laid out on the mat!
By now, Inoki and Fujinami have returned to the ring, but Tenryu hightails it, and Inoki and Fujinami check on Baba as the show comes to a close.
END VTR
This week’s feature bout will see Giant Baba go one on one with his former protégé, Genichiro Tenryu!
RIKI CHOSHU defeats BOB ORTON JR. Choshu makes his World Wrestling Kingdom debut, and it’s a successful one, as he drops Orton with a Lariat, then slaps on the Scorpion Lock for the submission victory!
We go to Genichiro Tenryu backstage. Tenryu says people have been asking him why he turned on Giant Baba a few weeks back. He says that he respects Baba for everything that he’s accomplished in this sport, and he says that it was Baba and Jumbo Tsuruta that took him under their wing and molded him into the wrestler that he is today.
However, Baba’s time has passed, Tenryu says that was made obvious when Baba lost the tag team match on the debut show. He says that it’s his time now, it’s time for him to make his mark and take his place at the top of the mountain!
He says that he will make his mark by doing something that very few wrestlers have ever done . . . today, he will pin Giant Baba, 1-2-3, in the middle of the ring!
TATSUMI FUJINAMI & ANTONIO INOKI & TIGER MASK II defeat GORO TSURUMI & MASA FUCHI & TIGER JEET SINGH. Inoki and Singh have a long, storied past, they’ve wrestled each other countless times, and each time it was a wild, bloody match! Singh attacks Inoki before the bell has even sounded, he throws him to the floor, and proceeds to batter Inoki with anything he can get his hands on!
Meanwhile inside the ring, Fujinami and TMII battle Tsurumi and Fuchi.
On the outside, Inoki turns the tables on Singh, and sends him into the ringpost, before jumping back into the ring. Things calm down then, and we get a good, hard-hitting 6-man tag team match!
Tsurumi seems to be the weak link on his team, as he nearly gets pinned several times, but Fuchi or Singh break it up. Finally, as Inoki and Tiger Mask II take care of Singh and Fuchi, Tatsumi Fujinami hits Goro with a Dragon Suplex for the 1, 2, 3!
STAN HANSEN & DICK SLATER & TED DIBIASE defeat KENGO KIMURA & ASHURA HARA & YOSHIAKI YATSU. All six men in this match are legitimate main eventers, and they tear the house down! The match starts out fast, with Hansen tearing into Yatsu and pummeling him mercilessly! Hansen delivers clubbing blow after clubbing blow to Yatsu, slowly wearing him down. Hansen tags Dibiase in, and while Hansen relied on a hard-hitting brawling style, Dibiase prefers to wrestle with Yatsu, the former Olympian.
Yatsu tags out to Kimura, and he holds his own against Dibiase for a few minutes, but Dibiase eventually gains the upper hand, and targets Kimura’s leg, looking to soften it up for Dibiase’s favourite hold, the Figure-4 Leglock. Dibiase tries to apply the hold, but each time, Kimura is able to stop him, or is close enough to the ropes to grab them before Dibiase can cinch the hold in.
Both men eventually tag out, and Hara and Slater tear into each other. Hara eventually gets the upper hand, until Slater tags Stan Hansen back in! Hansen pummels Hara, and gets the 1, 2, 3 after hitting a devastating Western Lariat!

GENICHIRO TENRYU (w/ Riki Choshu) beats GIANT BABA. Baba might be getting long in the tooth, but he’s fired up here, and gives Tenryu all he can handle early on! Riki Choshu has accompanied Tenryu to the ring, and he makes his presence felt, getting into an argument with Baba on the floor, giving Tenryu the opportunity to attack Shohei from behind!
Back inside, Baba reverses an Irish whip attempt, and connects with a big boot to the jaw of Tenryu as Genichiro shoots back off the ropes. Baba makes the cover, but only gets a 2-count. Tenryu is up first, and kicks Baba in the head as Shohei is getting back to his feet!
Tenryu continues to work over Baba, and eventually connects with an Enziguri! Baba doesn’t go down, he falls back into the corner, but as he stumbles out of the corner, Tenryu connects with another Enziguri, and this one puts Baba down on the mat for the 1, 2, 3!
Genichiro Tenryu has pinned Giant Baba, right in the middle of the ring!
Wakabayashi and Yamada wrap things up, and hype next week’s show.
