PNW Title Tournament-1st round matches
1.Ron Garvin is wearing an eye patch after his recent encounter with Kendo Nagasaki and gives up a lot of size, but still manages to get by big Texas Red. Garvin gets the duke following a piledriver in 6:59 and advances to the next round.
2.In an all out brawl, Buzz Sawyer fights Abdullah the Butcher to a double countout in 11:47.
3.In a very competitive bout, “Ragin Bull” Manny Fernandez pins Tom Prichard after a flying burrito in 10:12.
4.Wahoo McDaniel advances as he pins Eric Embry at the 12:56 mark following a tomahawk chop.
5.Ken Patera defeats Akio Sato(w/Mr. Fuji) by reversing an inside cradle at the 7:12 mark.
6.The Grappler defeated Iceman Parsons after kicking him with the loaded boot in 8:22.
7.Exotic Adrian Street (w/Miss Linda) pinned Tiger Mask in a fast paced bout. Stret pinned the Japanese great with a crucifix in 9:12. Linda set up the pin by distracting the masked man.
8.Billy Jack Haynes, wearing a bandage on the burn on his chest, pins Bad News Brooks(w/Manny Fernandez) with a backslide in 10:49. The Real Thing shows up at ringside after the bout. Haynes holds the ropes open and says “bring it on!”, but Fernandez & Brooks hold the big man back! Wahoo comes out and stands by Haynes in the ring!
2nd round matches
1.Ron Garvin gets a bye due to the DCOR between Sawyer & Abdullah.
2.Manny Ferandez pinned Wahoo McDaniel in 12:11 after the Bull nailed Wahoo with brass knucks. After the match, Wahoo got on the mic and challenged Fernandez to an Indian Strap match!
3.The Grappler pins Ken Patera in 8:08 after kicking him below the belt with his loaded boot.
4.Billy Jack Haynes pinned Exotic Adrian Street in 5:12 after an overhead press slam.
PNW Tag Team Champions the Rock n Roll RPMS defeated the Rock n Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson) in a fast paced, action packed match. The end came at the 27:40 mark. All four men were brawling. Robert Gibson applied a victory roll to Tommy Lane. Referee David Manning was trying to remove Morton and Davis from the ring and had his back turned. Out of nowhere, a man in a sequined jumpsuit came off the top rope and hit Gibson with a a kneedrop and broke up his pin. When Manning finally removed the illegal men, he turned to see Lane pinning Gibson and counted the Express out!
The RPMS and their rescuer left the arena arm in arm as Morton tried unsuccessfully to get the referee to reverse the decision!
Semifinal matches:
1.Manny Fernandez pins Ron Garvin in 9:10 after Bad News Brooks comes to ringside and throws powder in Garin's good eye.
2.Billy Jack Haynes defeats the Grappler by DQ after the Real Thing and Manny Fernandez interfere and beat Billy down at the 7:44 mark. Wahoo and Buzz Sawyer make the save for Haynes.
Tournament final
1.After 17:12 of bloody action, Billy Jack Haynes locks in the full nelson for the submission victory over “Ragin Bull” Manny Fernandez and the Pacific Northwest Heavyweight Championship!
Undisputed World Champion Dory Funk Jr. was introduced to the fans before the match and shook hands with both Haynes and Fernandez. Funk will defend the championship against Haynes on Saturday night.
