STASIAK: Thank you, Don! What a great lineup of wrestling superstars we have tonight. Don Always always brings the best pro wrestling has to offer here to the Northwest!
COSS: The big news is that Billy Jack Haynes is back in the Northwest. We have a special feature on Billy this week and he has a friend he wants to introduce to us.

We come back to Don Coss sitting in a blackened studio.
COSS: Time now for a special feature on one of the most popular athletes to ever come out of the state of Oregon. He's here with a friend of his he wants us to meet here tonight. Here he is, the one and only Billy Jack Haynes!
Two large men enter the picture, have a seat, and shake hands with Coss...
COSS: Billy, welcome home! How's it going?
BILLY: I couldn't be better, Don Coss! I've been all over the world, wrestled all the greatest wrestlers, and made a lot of great friends like this man, he's like a brother to me! He's the greatest Indian athlete since Jim Thorpe. Folks, this is Chief Wahoo McDaniel!
WAHOO: Thanks for the kind words, Billy Jack. Billy is probably the toughest man I've ever met. He can fight his own battles. I'm only here to watch his back! It seemes like these days, there are people around who want to gang up on guys like Billy and me! There's strength in numbers! If anybody wants a fight, we won't be hard to find!
BILLY: Man, it's good to be home again! I told Wahoo all about it and he couldn't wait to get here.
COSS: Tonight's your first match back at the Sports Arena and you have a tough, masked opponent in the Grappler.
BILLY: Yeah, I told Mr. Owen that I didn't want to wrestle any slouches and he listened. The Grappler is really tough, but I know with all of my hometown fans behind me, there's no limit to what I can accomplish!
COSS: I agree with that statement and we'll be back with some important words from Pacific Northwest wrestling promoter Don Owen. He has some important words right after this message...

Don Coss is standing by in the Crow's Nest.
COSS: As far as I'm concerned, this man is Portland Wrestling! The dean of professional wrestling promoters....DON OWEN!!!
OWEN: Thank you, Don. And thanks to all of these great fans who have packed the Portland Sports Arena this evening! Thanks to our sponsor, Tom Peterson, who is excited about this as I am. Pro wrestling is back in the Northwest and we are striving to make it bigger and better than ever. One way we are doing that-several promoters around the world have come together to recognize an Undisputed World's Champion! This is a man who literally needs no introduction. He held the old NWA World Championship longer than anybody in the modern era. Here's a special feature on our World Champion!
VTR:
As the music plays, we see footage of Dory Funk, Jr. outwrestling several opponents. Most of the footage originates from Japan.
COSS: Well, Dory Funk is certainly a legendary wrestler. Traditionally, the World Champion has defended his title against the Pacific Northwest Champion when he tours the Northwest. I understand that title is vacant...
OWEN: It is vacant, but on September 21, there will be a huge Portland Special right here in the Sports Arena. We will have a one night, single elimination tournament for the Pacific Northwest Title. The new champion will receive a title match against Funk as soon as his schedule will allow it. Also, on that card, the current PNW Tag Team Champions, who recently won the title in Vancouver will defend their titles against a highly ranked team. We'll announce their opponents very soon.
COSS: The tag team champions are here now-Mike Davis & Tommy Lane, the Rock & Roll RPMs!!!
DAVIS: That's right, daddy, we are the champions! These belts make us the best there is! We are the hottest thing going in the Northwest! We've been all over the world and we've rolled all over every team that stood in our way!
LANE: It don't matter if it's King Kong & Godzilla or Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid, we'll take 'em all on! We've got a match here on TV just to show these people what we can do. Hit that music and we'll go to the ring kick booty, RPM style, baby!
Rock and Roll RPMS vs. CW Bergstrom & Billy Two Eagles: Hard to tell if it's for them or the walk out music, but the RPMS do get a nice reception. Davis & Lane look like a top flight team and Davis pins Bergstrom after the “spandex splits” (backdrop into a piledriver). Coss & Stasiak put the champs over as a great team.

We join our announce team in the Crow's Nest...
COSS: Stan, we have one of Japan's greatest athletes in our next bout.
STASIAK: That's very true. In Japan, his native country, he has his own comic book and his own Saturday morning cartoon show. His name is Tiger Mask and he might be the most incredible athlete who I have ever seen. Now, you get your chance to see him wrestle here on Portland Wrestling!
Tiger Mask vs. Bob Bradley: Bradley is an excellent in ring worker, but he's outclassed tonight. After an awesome display of athleticism, the masked man pins Bradley after a moonsault.

Stan Stasiak is standing by in the Crow's Nest...
STASIAK: We're about to see a great wrestler in action. Before his match, I want to speak with him. Here's Ron Garvin!
GARVIN: I'm glad to be here, Stan! I've been all over the world, but this is my first time in Oregon and the Northwest. I wanna put a challenge out to the Undisputed Champion Dory Funk and put my name in the hat for the tournament coming up. I've got a tough opponent this week and I'd better get down to the ring!
STASIAK: You're about to find out that Ronnie Garvin tends to do his talking into the ring!
Ron Garvin vs. “Mean” Mike Miller: This is a brawl! It's a brawl that Ron wins with a wrestling move. Garvin pins Mean Mike with a sunset flip off the top rope. The announcers put Garvin over as a great wrestler and Portlan Wrestling is lucky to have him.
COMMERCIAL
Tom Prichard vs. Al Snow: A fast paced, mostly clean match between two rising wrestlers. Prichard gets the duke after jacking Snow's jaw with a superkick.
STASIAK: I'm joined here in the Crow's Nest by two men who are very familiar to fans in the Northwest: “Mad Dog” Buzz Sawyer & Brett “Hack” Sawyer. Men, it's great to have you back!
BUZZ: Thanks, Stan Stasiak! It's great to be in Portland with my little brother, ol' Hack! Singles or tag, we'll take anybody Don Owen throws at us!
BRETT: That's right, big brother! Tonight, we've seen the RPMs and we've seen Dory Funk. Great Champions, but the Sawyers aren't intimidated and we will take any of'em on! You wanna wrestling match, you got it! You want a fight, we'll do that, too!
STASIAK: That's great, boys! Don Coss is standing by in the dressing room...
COSS: I'm here with two wrestlers who should make a big splash here in the Northwest-”Ragin Bull” Mnny Fernandez & the Grappler! Grappler, you will be Billy Jack Haynes' opponent in tonight's main event...
GRAPPLER: I know he's a muscleman. I know he's main evented in Madison Square Garden, Texas Stadium, and every other major arena in the world! A big reputation won't help him and big biceps won't help him! I'm gonna kick his tail all over the Portland Sports Arena and ruin his little homecoming! I'm not big on happy endings and Billy Jack won't have one tonight!
COSS: Manny Fernandez, what are your plans in the Northwest?
FERNANDEZ: The Bull has big plans in Portland, daddy! Nobody does it better than the Bull and with my man, the Grappler, on my side, the sky is the limit! We've started a new organization here and we call it Tres Diablos! We are gonna dominate around here!
COSS: OK, my Spanish is a bit rusty, but I seem to recall that “tres” translates into “three”. I only see two of you here...
FERNANDEZ: Mr. Microphone, we're real impressed that you can count to three! Why don't you just mind your own business? You just sit back and watch what we do here tonight! It will be awesome destruction, baby!
COSS: We'll be right back!

Back to the Crow's Nest
STASIAK: It's remarkable the cailber of athlete that Don Oen has brought into this area. I have here two men who were selected for our US Olympic team-Brad Rheingans in Greco Roman wrestling and Ken Patera in weightlifting. Men, it's great to see you! What does the future hold for the two of you?
PATERA: Speaking for myself, I want to take on the best that the Northwest has to offer. Of course, I'm very interested in championships. I'd like to enter my name in the big tournament coming up.
RHEINGANS: I want to prove that a scientific wrestler can still succeed. I want to be in contention for any and all championships! I want competition, the tougher, the better!
STASIAK: Seeing you two together makes me wonder: Any chances of you two as a tag team?
PATERA: We've actually signed up for some tag matches. If it works out, the RPMS better shine up their belts!
RHEINGANS: I can't pass up the chance to team up with the strongest man in the world! With this man on my side, I'll walk into any dark alley in the country!
STASIAK: It's Main Event time, let's get to it!
As the music plays, Manny Fernandez leads the Grappler to the ring! The music changes...
The fans go wild for Billy Jack Haynes as he returns to the Portland Sports Arena!
Main Event(2/3 Falls): The Grappler(w/Manny Fernandez) Vs. Billy Jack Haynes:
1.The first fall is a slugfest! After about two minutes, Wahoo McDaniel comes to ringside to counteract Fernandez. Despit that, the Bull manages to hand the Grappler an object that he uses to load his mask, headbutt Billy, and get the pin! Maybe Billy's homecoming won't go his way!
2.After Wahoo spends the rest period between falls reviving his buddy, Billy makes an awesome comeback in the second fall! Haynes locks in the full nelson and forces the masked man to submit!
3.Between falls, Fernandez rubs the Grappler's neck and gives him a pep talk. Doesn't seem to do a lot of good as Billy Jack goes to war in the deciding fall! Haynes is cleaning the masked man's plow! Fernandez tries to get involved, but Wahoo puts a stop to that with a seires of vicious chops! Hold on...who is that?
It's Abdullah the Butcher and he has a kendo stick!!! He must be Diablo Numero Tres! Abdullah blasts Wahoo with the stick! Abdullah enters the ring and nails Haynes! Referee David Manning calls for the DQ! That doesn't stop Tres Diablos from unleashing a vicious beatdown on Billy Jack and Wahoo! The Sawyers, Ken Patera, & Ron Garvin run in for the save and I shudder to think what might have happened if they hadn't shown up! Wahoo & Billy are bloody messes and have to be helped out of the arena!
COSS: Billy Jack's homecoming has been ruined, but I can guarantee you folks that we haven't heard the last of this!
STASIAK: I've known Haynes and McDaniel for years. They won't take this lying down! There will be payback, I guarantee it, Don!
COSS: Join us next week. We'll try to have an update on Billy and Wahoo...
DARK MATCHES:
Texas Red vs. Cowboy Scott Casey: Red is a huge masked man while Casey is a highly skilled veteran. Casey has the edge most of the way, but Red scores the upset as he pins Casey after a big kick to the face.
Iceman King Parsons vs. “Black Ninja” Kendo Nagasaki: An evenly fought contest. The match eventually spills outside of the ring where Sandy barr counts both men out.
Ken Patera & Brad Rheingans vs. Akio Sato & Tarzan Goto: Two former Olympians against a very capable Japanes team. The match goes to a 10 minute draw, but Patera has Goto in the swinging full nelson when time expires.
2/3 Falls, Non-Title Match: Dory Funk, Jr. vs. Vic Steamboat:
First Fall: Steamboat looks great and keeps the champ off balance with his quickness and martial arts skills. Steamboat hits a flying bodypress off the top, but Funk rolls through, reverses, grabs a handfull of tights and goes up 1 fall to zero.
Second Fall: Steamboat dominates early on, but after he botches a flying headscissors, Funk strts working the leg. Steamboat makes a valiant effort, but in the end, Funk locks in the spinning toehold and wins the match by submission. It's going to be tough to take the title from the veteran from Texas!
