They then hype up tonight's huge card which will see our own "Rock 'N Roll" Buck Zumhoff defend his Slammin' Saturday co-host Captain Lou Albano's honor as he takes on "The Silent Assassin" Steve Blackman! Honky stops to reassure himself that Buck would defend his "honor" under similar circumstances, but Zumhoff seems non-commital at best. They then tell us ECW Women's Champion "Gorgeous" Michele Starr will be in action tonight (which Honky Tonk man thinks is "Fabulous!" as will the number one contenders The Ubermensch just days before they battle Tommy Dreamer and Dustin Rhodes for the Tag-Team Titles this Wednesday night at ECW's big event September to Remember! They then tell us in the Main Event "Mr. Wednesday Night" Rob Van Dam will battle it out with relative newcomer to ECW Alex Porteau.
All matches announced by Joe Gertner and officiated by Danny Davis
Match: Michele Starr vs. Rockin' Robin
"The Gorgeous One" Michele Starr with Joe E. Legend at ringside delights in rallying up the crowd as he beats the hell out of Rockin' Robin after stealing her early advantage with a rake to the eyes. After dropping her with a front powerslam, he runs the ropes and nails the Falling Starr body splash.
After the match there's a Jacqueline Moore promo on Starr. She can't wait to kick his ass at September to Remember and become a four time Women's Champion!
COMMERCIAL BREAK
Before the break they recap what happened last week on ECW Weekend Warriors when after losing his match to "THE Killer Bee" B. Brian Blair; "The Silent Assassin" Steve Blackman dismissed his manager Captain Lou Albano with a Superkick! Albano's co-host Buck Zumhoff issued Blackman a challenge here tonight. So Honky is joined on commentary by the good Captain. Albano thanks us for having him; but just then there's a disturbance in the rafters! The cameras quickly pan in the direction of the sound; but nobody is there. Weird...
Match: Buck Zumhoff vs. Steve Blackman
Buck Zumhoff is fire up and brings the fight right to a stunned Steve Blackman who wasn't taking "Rock 'N Roll" seriously at first. Zumhoff gets a two following a dropkick and another when "The Assassin surprises him by kicking out of the "Rocking and Rolling" springboard DDT! Albano and Honky Tonk meanwhile inform us that next Saturday following September to Remember tune into TNN at 8am for the long-awaited arrival of Season 4 of ECW Slammin' Saturdays!
Blackman meanwhile has rallied back and hits Buck with a bridged Fisherman's suplex and a superkick; both of which fail to keep Zumhoff down. Blackman seems to have the match won as he locks in the guillotine choke with bodyscissors! But Buck is fighting it and manages to force Steve's arms apart! He's rallying back and he is up on his feet pounding Blackman across the ring where "The Silent Assassin" takes a tumble through the ropes to the floor below! Buck looks to follow him out, but suddenly he looks as if he's been struck by lightning and hits the ground hard! Steve Blackman slides into the ring and makes the cover! 1!... 2!... 3! Steve Blackman has won it! HTM thinks it's funny Buck lost but has no idea what happened; though Albano is now up and about the ring looking for a Kendo Stick!
Before he can find it however, Steve Blackman hops out of the ring and chases the Captain off.
A video clip featuring snippets from matches that took place this past Wednesday on the main show. We see William Regal stretching Michele Starr out in the Regal Stretch, Mongo Vyle dropping Tommy Dreamer with a Machiavellian Cutter, Yoshihiro Tajiri behead Devon Hughes with the Shining Wizard, Randy Savage hit a perfectly executed Savage Elbow Drop on Rhino, Steve Corino crack Douglas Williams' head open with a superkick; and ECW Champ "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson hit Papa Shango with a DDT!

The Baron is very happy that his men will finally get their Tag-Team Title rematch they've been due this Wednesday at September to Remember! He goes on to tell ECW Correspondent Terri Runnels that this Wednesday Dreamer and Rhodes will get what has been coming to them since this past Decemeber when his men rend their flesh from bone and grind their bones into paste before taking back what is the rightful property of the Republic of Germany; the ECW Tag-Team Titles!
Buck Zumhoff returns to the broadcast booth with a bandage on his head while Honky laughs at him, not only for losing her tonight; but also for winning this past Wednesday against Mike Quackenbush; and not being important enough to put on the hightlight reel! They then show us some disturbing footage backstage where after his match Steve Blackman was viciously attacked! Witnesses claim it was a giant man well over 6 feet wearing tassles and war paint?! HTM says he knows someone who fits that discription and it certainly isn't Buck Zumhoff...

Zumhoff, Honky; and Albano welcome us back from the last commercial break of the evening before hyping tonight's huge Main Event which will see former Eastern States Champion "Mr. Wednesday Night" Rob Van Dam against rising star Alex Porteau who has been on a winning streak since his arrival here in ECW. They then talk about RVD's involvement in the Tag-Team Rumble Match at Showdown in Charlotte where his team won against the Dark Circle. He's set to team next week with his Showdown partners Ron Simmons and "Ravishing" Rick Rude against the trio of "big names" Ted DiBiase signed to the promotion.

Main Event: Rob Van Dam vs. Alex Porteau
Alex Porteau impresses here, showing himself to be just as cocky as Rob Van Dam whom he locks into an adominal stretch for a bit as well as getting two counts on "Mr. Wednesday Night" via a slingshot suplex and later a kneeling powerbomb. Rob Van Dam however gives better than he gets, hitting the Rolling Thunder, a spinning wheel kick, a monkey flip, and a springboard moonsault before finally putting Alex Porteau away for the three count with a Five Star Frog Splash! After the match he points toward his shoulders as the fans chant along "Rob!... Van!... Dam!'
When all of a sudden the lights dim so RVD falls into shadow and "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase's signature laugh is heard! Suddenly a man comes down from the rafters with a bat in hand!
Rob backs away ready for a fight, when another man rushes into the ring in a craze!
The man in the trenchcoat with a bat jabs Rob in the gut allowing the big newcomer to hoist him over his head and flatten him with a gorilla press slam! Just then a third man comes down the ramp with a man who appears to be DiBiase and he's theatrically cupping his ear listening to the booing crowd!
Once inside the ring he runs the ropes and hits Rob Van Dam with a running leg drop! He tears off his shirt as DiBiase laughs in triump while the...
