Mike Tenay and Tommy Watanabe open the show.
Tenay, “Tommy, the action in ACW is heating up as the temperatures outside cool down. ‘King.s Coronation II’ is a little over a month away.”
Watanabe, “It’s going to be fantastic. We know three matches and I’m sure will find out more today.”
Tenay, “I hope so. We know that Shinya Hashimoto defends the IWGP Title against Bobby Duncum Jr. and the Holy Demon Army will defend the Unified Tag Team Titles against Mitsuharu Misawa and Kenta Kobashi. That’s enough right there, but there is more coming.”
Watanabe, “Bobby Duncum Jr. is the talk of the wrestling world. He and Hashimorto will be a great matchup.”
Tenay, “Hashimoto meets Gran Naniwa in our opening match.”
Match #1
Non-Title Match
Shinya Hashimoto (IWGP Champion) vs. Gran Naniwa
Naniwa is a former tag team champion and will be a good test for Hashimoto. Naniwa uses his “crab tactics” to confuse Hashimoto, but the Champion overcomes them to win with the Brainbuster

Match #2
Masahiro Chono vs. Kyodo Fuyuki
The tank-like Fuyuki takes the fight to Chono. He whips Chono into the ropes and drops him with a shoulder tackle. Fuyuki covers him, but Chono kicks out. The hard hitting match continues until Chono hits the Yukaza Kick for the win.

Match #3
Jun Akiyama vs. Yoshinari Ogawa
Two young stars meet in this one. Ogawa uses his clever style to control the early moments of the match. He gets a quick two count and the fans are on the edge of their seats. Both men have they chances, but Akiyama uses the Blue thunder Driver for the win.

Tenay and Watanabe are in the announce position.
Tenay, “Tommy, we have a great tag team match scheduled for ‘King’s Coronation II’. The Holy Demon Army defends the Unified Tag Team Titles against the team of Misawa and Kobashi.”
Watnabae, “This is one of the greatest rivalries in All Japan Wrestling. Both teams are at the top of their games and this match will be worth the price of admission.”
Tenay, “Let’s see Mitsuharu Misawa and Kenta Kobashi in action.”
Match #4
Alex Wright and Maunakea Mossman vs. Mitsuharu Misawa and Kenta Kobashi
Wright and Mossman are a good test. Misaw and Wright start the action. Misawa is one of the top wrestlers in the game and he shows it. His aggressive style takes over and the German is in trouble. Wright tags in Mossman and the Misawa’s attack continues. Kobashi taqs in and “Orange Crush” takes over. He uses the DDT to finish off Mossman. Misawa and Kobashi are ready for the Holy Demon Army.
Winner-Mitsuharu Misawa and Kenta Kobashi
We go right to the ring where Hulk Hogan and Smash are in the ring.
Match #5
Demolition Smash vs. Hulk Hogan w/JImmy Hart
Smash attacks Hogan before the bell. Hogan is in trouble. Smash hammers away at Hogan and he slumps in the corner. Referee Chad Patton backs Smash away. Hogan gets to his feet and “Hulks Up!” He goes after Smash and the crowd goes crazy. Hogan uses the legdrop for the win.
Winner-Hulk Hogan
Lee Marshall is in the ring with Hogan and Hart.
Marshall, “Hulk Hogan, ‘King’s Coronation II’ is a month away. We don’t know who will challenge Sid Vicious for the American Heavyweight Championship. Many people think it should be you.”
Hogan, “Well, you know something. Lee Marshall, Hulk Hogan should be American Champion! Jimmy and I know we can beat stinky old Sid and I want the chance in Miami!”
Hart, “That’s right! Hulk Hogan is a legend in this sport. He can beat Sid, we all know that!”
Marshall, “You two belive that, but many experts think Hulk Hogan’s day is passed. They think it’s a young mans’ game and you can’t beat Sid.”
Hogan, “If they give me the chance, Hulkamania is going to run all over Sid, and the fans who don’t believe in me, are dead wrong!”
Hogan receives many cheers, but there are a smattering of boos.
Match #6
Non-Title Match
Chris Adams and Iceman King Parsons vs. The Can-Am Express (American Tag Team Champions)
The Champions know they are meeting the Copperheads in October, but they can’t overlook Adams and Parsons. Both teams shake hands before the bell. The action is fast paced. Adams and Parsons use their veteran guile to match the athleticism of the Champions. Parsons is very sharp and Krofatt is on his heels. Furnas tags in and his power takes over. He uses the Powerslam to finish off Parsons. The Champions are primed, but can they beat the Copperheads?
Winners-The Can-Am Express
Tenay and Bobby Heenan are in the announce position.
Tenay, “Brain, things are heating up in September, and they are headed for an explosion in October. ‘King’s Coronation II’ is coming and we have more matches to announce later in the program. Will Hulk Hogan get his chance at Sid?”
Heenan, “I hope so.”
Tenay, “Really? I thought you hated Hogan.”
Heenan, “I do, but if he wrestles Sid, his career is over, I like that.”
Tenay, "O.K. That makes sense. We have a big, and I do mean big, debut next. Former World Champion, Yokozuna, will be in the ring.”
Match #7
Yokozuna vs Bull Buchanan
The huge Yokozuna is an immovable object. Buchanan puts up a fight, but he’s can’t make a dent in massive Japanese. Yokozuna wins with the Banzai Drop.

Match #8
The Barbarian vs. The Terminator
Two big face painted men go at it in this one. They exchange rights a lefts and neither man takes a backwards step. The Terminator backs the Barbarian into the corner and chokes away. This sets off the Barbarian and he fights his way out of the corner. He whips the Terminator into the ropes and drops him with a big boot. He uses the falling headbutt to win the match.
Winner-The Barbarian
Mr. Hughes is with Lee Marshall.
Marshall, “With me is Mr. Hughes. Mr. Hughes, you fought the Giant to time limit draw. You two will meet again.”
Hughes, “I had him beat and he got counted out on purpose, he knows he can’t beat me! I’m going to destroy him! I’m Mr. Hughes, I am going to the top of ACW, and no giant is going to stop me!”
Marshall, "Alright, tonight you take on Hacksaw Duggan.”
Hughes, “That old fool? He’s light work until I get to the Giant again!”
Marshall, “Let’s go to the ring.”
Match #9
“Hacksaw” Jim Duggan vs. Mr. Hughes
This will be a brawl. Both men use very few wrestling holds, but they can fight! Duggan whips Hughes into the ropes and clotheslines him to the mat. He tries to drop an elbow, but Hughes moves and Duggan crashes to the mat. This turns the tide Hughes punishes Duggan and uses the Sidewalk Slam to gain the fall.
Winner-Mr. Hughes
Lee Marshall is seated in front of a “King’s Coronation II” banner.
Marshall, “Welcome to the ‘King’s Coronation II’ Report. Last week we announced three matches.
1. Shinya Hashimoto defends the IWGP Title against Bobby Duncum Jr.
2. Mitsuharu Misawa and Kenta Kobashi challenge the Holy Demon Army for the Unified Tag Team, Titles
3. The Can-Am Express defend the American Tag Team Titles against the Copperheads
That would be enough right there, but we have one more big match to announce tonight. we know that the American Heavyweight Title would be defended at this show, and now we know against whom. Sid Vicious will meet...Hulk Hogan! This is what Hogan wanted, and now it's put up, or shut up for the 'Immortal One.' Hogan vs. Sid, October 20, in Miami, on Pay per View! Alright that's one big announcement, now for another one. On Friday night, October 4, ACW will be in the "Big Easy", New Orleans, for a live Friday night wrestling program. Stay tuned for more information."
Tenay and Heenan are in the announce position.
Tenay, “Brain, Hiogan vs. Sid for the title!”
Heenan, “Good, Hulkamania is dead!”
Tenay, “Maybe so. Now let’s look at what happened last week.”
Referee Charles Robinson raises Piper’s hand and the lights go out. We see a torch emerge from the back a shadowy form walks down the ramp. The lights come on and the man, wearing a robe with a cowl covering his face, enters the ring. He stands in front of Piper. Piper reaches up and pulls the hood back and we see…
Piper is stunned. Copperhead Jones has walked onto the ramp.
Jones, “Look into the face of evil Brother Piper! Look into the mirror of your soul! Isaiah will cleanse you, you will feel the wrath of Isaiah and myself! we will purge the evil from you!”
The lights go out again. When the come on again. Jones and Isaiah are gone. Piper stands in the ring with the Devil’s Mask at his feet.
Tenay, “Brain, it looks like Copperhead Jones and Isaiah have targeted Roddy Piper.”
Heenan, “That guy is crazy, and Piper is in trouble. I don’t see how he can survive this.”
Tenay, “Roddy Piper is in our next match. You have to wonder what is going to happen tonight.”
Match #10
Roddy Piper vs The Gambler
Piper is on fire. The Gambler puts up a fight, but he is no match for the Scotsman. Piper wins with the sleeper.
Winner-Roddy Piper
Referee Jack Doane raises Piper’s hand and the lights go out. Copperhead Jones’ voice comes over the house mike.
Jones, “Piper, your evil is great, but the goodness of Copperhead Jones and Isaiah will end you reign of terror!”
The four ringposts erupt with fire.
Tenay and Heenan close the show.
Tenay, “Brain, Copperhead Jones has Roddy Piper in his sights”
Heenan, “Piper is in trouble, better him than me.”
Tenay, “‘King’s Coronation II’ is coming up and we will have more news next week. Join us from Houston, TX!”
