MATCH #1:
KING KONG BUNDY beats SGT. CRAIG PITTMAN. Pittman, the former Marine, doesn’t back down from the massive King Kong Bundy, he takes the fight right to Bundy, but in the end, Bundy’s size and weight advantage makes the difference, as Pittman goes to slam Bundy, but in a weakened state, he can’t get him all the way up, and Pittman falls to the mat, with Bundy landing on top of him. Bundy probably could have got the pin right then and there, but instead, he runs the ropes and splashes Pittman for the 1, 2, 3.
After the match, Bundy takes the house mic from Gary Michael Cappetta, and insults Earthquake, saying ‘Quake tried to make himself relevent again, at the expense of Bundy, and calls ‘Quake out.
While Bundy is talking, Chris Cruise and Ray Rougeau talk about the confrontation between Bundy and Earthquake at Saturday Night Supercade, and inform us that Earthquake, who is retired, is not in Calgary tonight.
We go to STAN LANE for a CONTROL CENTRE segment, brought to us by TOYS ‘R’ US!
LANE quickly recaps what happened last Saturday night at Saturday Night Supercade, and then says that the NWA will make it’s return to Pay-Per-View, on Saturday, December 28 with BATTLEBOWL!
LANE talks a little bit about BattleBowl. The first portion of the show will feature several “lethal lottery” tag team matches, where the teams are made up of wrestlers selected completely at random. The winning teams in each “lethal lottery” match will then move on to the BattleBowl Battle Royal, where it’s every man for himself, and the winner receives $50,000 and the BattleBowl trophy!
There will be other matches on the show as well, including a World Heavyweight title match, with the participants to be announced as we get closer to the show.
VS.
MATCH #2:
THE ACADIAN GIANT & BRUTUS BEEFCAKE & VIRGIL defeat THE BROOKLYN BRAWLER & DOINK THE CLOWN & THE BERZERKER. After plenty of hard-hitting action, Brutus gets the win for his team after putting the Brooklyn Brawler out with the Sleeperhold.
Footage is shown of Mortis getting involved after the Ultimate Warrior vs Unabomb match at Saturday Night Supercade.
We go to a pre-recorded promo from NWA North American Champ THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR, where he talks about Mortis getting involved in his match with Unabomb, and says Mortis will face the wrath of the Warrior tonight!
VS.
MATCH #3
NWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP:
THE HEAVENLY BODIES (Champs) defeat THE COWBOYS (Rick Casey & Lance Cassidy). The Cowboys give Prichard and Del Ray all they can handle in this match, but in the end, the Bodies get the win after Lance Cassidy goes to the top rope, but Jimmy Del Ray shakes the ropes, crotching Cassidy. Prichard then delivers a Superplex for the pinfall.
A vignette airs, featuring a new wrestler on his way to the NWA, known as the Disciple of Apocalypse. We see Disciple riding a Harley Davidson, then cleaning house during a brawl at a seedy dive bar.
VS.
MATCH #4
NON-TITLE:
THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR defeats MORTIS (w/ Harvey Whippleman) via Disqualification. The match lasts only a few minutes before Whippleman tosses the kendo stick that Mortis brings to the ring with him into the ring, and Mortis then uses it to batter the Warrior.
An ad airs for the new edition of NWA magazine, on newstands now!
Footage airs of the brawl in last week’s main event between Terry Funk, Steve Williams, Jeff Jarrett and Chris Candido.
VS.
MATCH #5:
TERRY FUNK & “DR. DEATH” STEVE WILLIAMS defeat “DOUBLE J” JEFF JARRETT & CHRIS CANDIDO (w/ Capt. Lou Albano). After a hard-hitting match, Williams gets the win for his team when he pins World Champ Jeff Jarrett after the Oklahoma Stampede.
After the match, a brawl breaks out. While Candido and Williams brawl in the ring, Jarrett throws Funk to the floor.
Outside the ring, Jarrett takes his guitar, and smashes it over Funk’s head! Terry crumbles to the floor, but Double J isn’t done with him, he pulls back some of the mats around ringside, and proceeds to PILEDRIVE Funk on the floor!!
Officials swarm the ring and clear everybody from the ring while medical personnel check on Funk.
Moments later, Funk is fitted with a neckbrace, placed on a stretcher, and carried from the ring.
CRUISE and ROUGEAU wrap things up, and recap what we saw on tonight’s show. They hype next week’s show before signing off.
