Hey guys, regardless of what happens in the draft, I will be starting my version of CWA on 10/5 with Championship Wrestling TV. I will be picking up from where the real CWA left off, seeing as the roster was relatively small and I already have five of the major players on my roster.
Here is the last TV episode that will lead into my first episode of Championship Wrestling on 10/5:
The major storyline coming out of the episode where Tommy Rich missing a Tag Team Title defense due to commitments in Atlanta, leaving Dutch Mantell to face the Nightmares on his own. Dutch won the match via DQ and kept the belts.
Another major plot point was the continuing feud between the First Family and Jerry Lawler/Randy Savage, which was highlighted by a rivalry between Bundy and Lawler.
The results for that week's Mid-South Coliseum show were as follows:
Mark Batten beat The Snowman.
Kurt Von Hess beat Johnny Wilhoit.
The Dirty White Boys beat Rufus Jones & Mark Ragin.
Southern Tag Champs Tommy Rich & Dutch Mantel beat The Nightmares.
CWA International Champ Eddie Gilbert beat Lanny Poffo.
Jerry Lawler, Randy Savage, & Jimmy Valiant beat King Kong Bundy, Rick Rude, & Jimmy Hart.
The biggest headline coming out of that show was Tommy Rich missing the beginning of his match because of car trouble, but arriving at the last minute to clean house and get the win. However, Dutch Mantell was angry after the match and beat the tar out of him with one of the belts.
So, that's where I'll pick up, with some new elements depending on what happens in the draft. I can get away with that in Memphis because things changed drastically on a weekly basis anyway in real life.
