International Wrestling Federation debuts on TBS Jan. 2, 1987
The first show of the new International Wrestling Federation kicks off with a series of clips...

We go to the IWF set with play by play announcer Bob Caudle & color commentators Charlie Platt & Rick Stewart. After brief introductions, Caudle brings out IWF Commissioner Lou Thesz for some brief explanation about the IWF making their debut on TBS. The IWF plans on presenting the finest in professional wrestling action across the United States. The commissioner explains the IWF will be recognizing a World's Heavyweight Champion, World's Tag Team Champions & a World's Junior Heavyweight Champion. They will be decided in the upcoming weeks. Charlie & Rick tell the fans they will see live today the Ultimate Warrior, Billy Robinson, Antonio Inoki, DJ Peterson & the Zambuie Express. They also have several big interviews on tap.
After Thesz leaves, manager Hiro Matsuda comes out with two members of his stable, Antonio Inoki & Tatsumi Fujinami. Matsuda states Inoki & Fujinami are here to win the singles championships. They are the two finest wrestlers from Japan. They win dominate all wrestlers from any country in the world. They will be the first IWF World's Heavyweight & World's Junior Heavyweight Champions.

We go to the ring with ring announcer Michael St. John.
Single Match. Ultimate Warrior stopped Tiger Chung Lee with a power slam & bodypress for the win. (2:43).
Warrior exits the ring to the announcer's desk for a short interview with Bob. Warrior says he is here to make history. He wants that World's Heavyweight Belt & will battle anyone to win it.
Commercial break & interview with manager Rock Hunter with the Spoiler
Single Match. Billy Robinson sleepered Sheik Abdul Zatar. (8:21).

Single Match. Antonio Inoki w/mgr. Hiro Matsuda nailed Art Crews with a spin kick to the back of the head for the 1-2-3. (7:52).

Single Match. DJ Peterson submitted Vince Apollo with the TNT. (7:33). DJ goes to the deks with Bob. Peterson says Hiro Matsuda has two dangerous men in his stable. However, he is not going to run from anyone & Inoki may be stareing down at him, Billy Robinson or the Ultimate Warrior for the World's
Heavyweight Belt. The Asians are going to have their hands full.

4 Man Tag Team Match. Zambuie Express (Kareem Muhammad & Elijah Akeem) over Tom Shaft & Big Bad O. (6:22). Muhammad with an elbow drop on O.
