COMMERCIAL BREAK
Tag-Team Match: Brimstone & Matt Borne w/ Pogo the Clown & Luna Vachon vs. The Green Berets John Rambo & Corporal Kirschner
"The Ring Master" Matt Borne gets himself into some trouble early on as he is isolated by the Green Berets. He holds his own however and escapes with a little help from Luna Vachon! Brimstone comes in swinging and brawls with Corporal Kirschner for a while before he tags in John Rambo! He fairs well against "The Dark Prophet" for a little while; but ends up the victim of a Chokeslam from Hell and Brimstone makes the cover to pick up the win!
After the match Kirschner attempts to attack Brimstone, but Pogo the Clown intervenes and gives the Corporal a military Burial in the Basement! Brimstone then reads an especially disturbing poem he wrote for the victims of the Tag-Team Rumble match.
A video clip featuring snippets from matches that took place this past Wednesday on the main show. We see Jerry Sags hit Tommy Dreamer with a sidewalk slam and Dusty Rhodes brain Colonel Parker with a steel chair, Alex Porteau win against Mike Quackenbush with a victory roll pin, "Macho Man" Randy Savage hit Steve Blackman with a flying crossbody, Steve Corino nail Brian Christopher with the Sliding C Special lariat, Dean Malenko lock in the Texas Cloverleaf on Buck Zumhoff, Ric Flair stab Arn Anderson with a pen; and finally we see Chris Benoit locking the Sharpshooter on Ricky Steamboat; followed by Steamboat and Randy Savage dropping Benoit out of the ring with a double clothesline! COMMERCIAL BREAK
Back from the break there's a promotional package of the career of "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson leading into his upcoming match at WCW/ECW Showdown in Charlotte this Sunday where he'll battle his former friend ECW Champion "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair for the Title!
Match: William Regal vs. Homicide w/ Hernandez
Homicide and Hernandez learn pretty on in this one it isn't wise to disrespect Sir William Regal who takes the fight to both men when he has too; but mostly focuses his energy on Homicide whom he takes out with a double underhook suplex off the second rope. After the match Hernandez looks to score a measure of revenge on Regal; but only learns about the Power of the Punch.
After the match we're taken back stage for Buck Zumhoff's "Rock 'N Rolling" segment where he invites us to party a song he knows his opponent Dusty Rhodes is a fan of; Bob Seger with "Old Time Rock and Roll!"
COMMERCIAL BREAK
Okerlund and Schiavone welcome us back from the last commercial break of the evening before hyping the WCW/ECW Pay Per-View Showdown in Charlotte again! They then tell us that tonight's huge Main Event will determine which promotion's talent get introduced at the PPV first! "Mean" Gene sort of hopes to see his co-host Lanny on the receiving end of a beating in this one; but at the same time he wants ECW to win!
Penzer: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first at a combined weight of 780 lbs.; they are the WCW announcing team of Terry Taylor, "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff; and "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes!
The fans cheer Dusty more than anything while the WCW team gathers inside the ring.
Penzer: And now introducing their opponents here this evening weighing in at a combined 687 lbs.; they are the ECW announcing team of The Honky Tonk Man, "Rock 'N Roll" Buck Zumhoff; and "The Genius" Lanny Poffo!
Main Event: Dusty, Taylor, Orndorff vs. Zumhoff, Poffo, Honky Tonk Man
Terry Taylor starts things off with "Rock 'N Roll" Buck Zumhoff who gets the crowd riled up as the two men have a good back and forth contest. Taylor nails Buck with the sitout gutwrench powerbomb for two and Zumhoff just misses a three with a sunset flip. Terry then traps Buck in the Sharpshooter, but he "Rock 'N Rolls" his way to the ropes breaking the hold. Taylor keeps on him, but from there Buck rallies back before hitting the Rocking and Rolling springboard DDT! He makes another cover, but Taylor kicks free at two and Zumhoff tags in his broadcast partner the Honky Tonk Man!
With Buck, Honky lays out Taylor with a double belly to back suplex and makes the cover! Once again however Taylor kicks out! With his opponent down, HTM struts around like a rooster to mock him, occasionally stomping him out a bit. Honky locks in a rear chinlock, but Taylor fights his way out of it and makes the tag to "Mr. Wonderful!"
Honky goes right after Paul Orndorff which proves to be a big mistake as "Mr. Wonderful" manhandles him a bit, hitting a German Suplex for a two count before locking him in the sleeper. Honky begins to fade, but he begins shake, then he rattles; and finally he rolls pulling Orndorff into the ECW corner where he makes the tag to Lanny Poffo! Paul doesn't seem to have seen the tag and he drags Honky into the middle of the ring where he works over Honky for a few seconds until he sees that "The Genius" has climbed up top!
Orndorff throws Honky to the ground and trys to catch Lanny, but Poffo connects full fource with the Honor Roll senton bomb! He makes the cover, but Orndorff powers out at two and thrown off guard looks for the tag! And he gets it! And into the match comes "The American Dream!"
He charges in an cracks Lanny in the skull with a huge Bionic Elbow sending him into the corner! Honky Tonk Man is now up and attacks Rhodes; but Dusty sees it and it's a clubberin' time! He hammers away at Honky until his ass hits canvas! And then he does the same to Lanny! Buck Zumhoff attempts a rescue, but he gets a clubbered into a corner of his own as the fans cheer Dusty on! Davis removes HTM and "Rock 'N Roll" from the ring while Dust Rhodes grabs Lanny out of the corner and gos for a running bulldog! But Poffo stops it and pushes Rhodes into the ropes before taking him down with a dropkick! Poffo then makes the tag to...
Honky Tonk Man! And Ferris goes up top and leaping off connects with the flying fist drop! Right into the canvas! And while he nurses his hand, Dusty makes the tag to Terry Taylor! Together the two men whip Honky into the ropes and drop him with a flapjack! Taylor goes for the cover, but HTM rakes his eyes and rock 'n rolls him up! 1!... 2!...
Taylor kicks out! Honky is back up, but Terry has already made the tag to Paul Orndorff who drops Honky hard with a clothesline! He whips HTM into the corner and charging in goes for the running high knee while out on the ramp the Stud Stable have appeared and charging down to ringside attack Dusty Rhodes! Honky dodges the high knee allowing Orndorff to introduce his knee to steel as he tags back in to Buck Zumhoff! The "Original Rock 'N Roller" capitalizes on "Mr. Wonderful's boo boo and rolls him up from behind! 1!... 2!...
There's no count?! Because Davis is too busy yelling at the Stud Stable!
Terry Taylor is already helping Rhodes when Tommy Dreamer and Dustin Rhodes then burst out of the back and a full on brawl has broken out at ringside!
Buck lets Orndorff go to get the referee back into the match and while his back is turned to, Lanny Poffo tosses Honky's guitar to him and he El Kabongs Paul Orndorff as he gets back to his feet! With Danny Davis back in the match, Buck Zumhoff sees "Mr. Wonderful" is still down and makes the cover! 1!... 2!...
3! ECW has won it! And Lanny Poffo is pointing to his head proclaiming himself a "Genius" while they celebrate in the ring while the Stud Stable brawls with Dreamer, Dusty, Dustin; and Taylor when the...
Lights Fade.
