Wow. How awesome was Peyton Manning last night to open the season? He destroyed the defending champs (and killed my chances of winning my week 1 game in fantasy), and made it look pretty easy at times last night. Granted, it's not the same Ravens as last year, but it was still pretty damned impressive.

That was insane, straight up insane. He is only the second QB in history to throw 7 Touchdowns in a game with no interceptions. Helluva way to start off the year!

Kinda makes me wish I had taken Manning in one of my fantasy drafts.

We have the Dolphins and Browns on. These are two poor football teams.

I live in Ohio, I don't like, or hate the Browns, but they have given loyal, fanatical fans less than almost any sports franchise. They are the Cubs, or Maple Leafs of football.

Nice win for the Saints! A nailbiter, but they snuck out with a victory.

Another close game between New Orleans and Atlanta. The rebuilt Saints "D" saved the day and looked pretty good for most of the game.

Considering how terrible they were last season, it was a nice change to see them play pretty well. Now they just need to kick the running game into gear (which they did at times today), and they'll be all set!

Here's the pain of Fantasy Football. I want to see the Packers win, but I have Anquan Bolden, so I'd like to have seen him get the second foot down. The guy I'm playing has Randall Cobb, so his touchdown hurts me. It didn't use to be this hard to watch the NFL.

That was my problem with the Saints - Atlanta game, I wanted the Saints to win, but I have Matt Ryan and Tony Gonzalez in fantasy leagues, so I wanted them to do well. I've got Cobb in one of the leagues, so his touchdown doesn't pain me at all! I was really impressed with Steven Jackson today. The last couple of seasons, I've wondered how good he could be on a team with a better offence, where he's not the only weapon. He had a big day today, and I think he's going to have a really good season.

Despite going up against P. Manning and his 71 pts, my team still has a chance to win this week in fantasy.

After 14 years of being frustrated by ANDY REID and how he invented football. It's good to have a coach that wants to RE INVENT the game!
Go CHIPPER!!!!!!!

Another close game between New Orleans and Atlanta. The rebuilt Saints "D" saved the day and looked pretty good for most of the game. We were all-time, HISTORICALLY bad last season. I would say the boys looked outstanding as compared to last year. Junior Galette is apparently a beast, and never been able to get playing time anywhere else before? Curtis Lofton played well. And my boy, yes MY BOY! The guy I wanted in Round 1 of the draft, the guy my saints took in Round 1 of the draft, KENNY VACCARO makes the huge play at the end, causing the incompletion. LOVED it! Mr. Aggression back there at safety is fun to watch, sure he will bite on some fakes, and give up a big play every once in awhile playing for an interception, but he puts the fear of God into opposing receivers, their arms mysteriously get 2 inches shorter when they have to cut across the middle and Vaccaro is there. And when will people outside the Southeast recognize the Saints/Falcons as one of the top rivalries in all of football? Last 7 games in a row decided by less than a touchdown, 2 of the last 5 have went into overtime. Pitt/Baltimore, the NFC East Rivalries, and then us vs. Falcons is on par with Seattle/San Fran. Might be the only legit rivalries in all the NFL. Opening week of Football season reminds me why I struggle through the other half of the year.

At the start of the season, I was wondering why ESPN would want Miami on a Monday Night game, but both the Dolphins and Saints are 3-0 on the young season, and it looks like a pretty good matchup. Geaux Saints!

Never a bad time to drop a WHO EFFIN DAT! Sean Peyton is proving how important a great coach can be. Rob Ryan, Junior Galette, and Kenny Vaccaro brought their big boy pants with them to Nawlins. Our defense is as fun to watch as our offense. As long as the NFC Championship Game is in the Superdome and not Seattle I LOVE our chances of getting back to the big one.
Heading into the season all signs were pointing toward the NFC being STUPID STACKED, and a quarter of the way through only the Saints and Seahawks (who didn't look so great this past week) were who we thought they were as Denny Green would say. Nothing in the East, very little in the North, the West has lost their bite, and the Panthers are the second best team in the South.... Really?
Sweet hey zeus I hope KC can keep up their pace so that Peyton has to play consecutive playoff games outside in brutally disgusting Winter Slosh. How scary is it that he just gets better, and better. His arm strength goes down and his football IQ somehow manages to continue to rise, WTF? That isn't fair. He is the greatest I've ever seen play the game. You have to have lots of help to win multiple Superbowls, championships help your resume, no doubt, but I've never put more stock in Superbowl wins than my personal eye test. To me Marino was better than Montana, so was Elway. All three of them are better than Tom Brady. Nothing wrong with being #5 Tommy boy, but he has a top 2 or 3 Coach of all-time and had hella defenses, the best kicker in the game, and great offensive lines when he won those Superbowls. Watching the games year after year, what Peyton Manning does is far and away the most impressive thing I've ever seen on a football field.
Yes I'm from Mississippi and his family is royalty here, but I really do not believe there is any bias in that statement. He is a joy to watch. As long as he's not playing the Saints, lol.

Pretty tough to see the Saints "O" fall apart with Graham shut down. Seems like there are too many offensive weapons to not have people open more often than what I saw yesterday. Especially the last couple of times they had the ball and couldn't get a first down that would have iced the game. I felt bad for Rex Ryan when his "D" is getting Brady off the field only to have the offense fail. There's only so many times you can give Brady the ball before he kills you. Great win for New England, but all those fans that left as soon as the Saints took the lead with close to 3 minutes remaining in the game should be ashamed of themselves. How many game-winning drives does your QB have to lead before you realize that the game is never over?

Patriots put together a great drive, I don't begrudge them anything. Great team, great coach, great gameplan, and were at home. But on the TD pass to Thompkins, Junior Galette was HORSECOLLARED less than 3 feet from Tom Brady, and would have sacked him. I ain't crying over spilt milk, that's the breaks on the road, and even with that mistake, we had 3 DB's in the middle of the field covering ABSOLUTELY NOBODY! Our corners in one-on-one battles on the last play of the game, and our Nickel, and 2 Safeties were looking around wondering what to do. How bout be over the top? You know Cover 2, the deep halves of the field, in case Thompkins or Idellman get by somebody. SMFH.
What a great football game that was though. One bad play is all Tom Brady needs to burn you for a game winner. All those mistakes we made, but you gotta tip your hat to him, even with those breaks I discussed, not too many guys in the league going to hit their rookie receiver with a perfect strike like that. Would love to see them again come February, I think we'd lay the wood to them at that point, in all honesty.
