Johnson, “Welcome to the ‘Steel City’. The ‘Igloo’ is hot tonight. The TV Title tournament concludes tonight. One man will hold that belt aloft and be the TV Champion.”

Race, “The qualifying matches have been intense and now the semi-finals will be all out wars.”

Johnson, “Here are the matchups for tonight. Our first semi-final will be Wolf Hawkfield taking on the Tahitian Savage. In the second semi-final, the ‘Redneck Rebel’ Doug Gilbert meets popular Bobby Blaze. The two winners will come back, later in the program, for the final. Let’s bring out the ‘Virtual Warrior’ Wolf Hawkfield.”

Hawkfield joins Johnson and Race.

Johnson, “Mr. Hawkfield, after an exciting match in which you qualified for tonight’s semi-finals, Doug Gilbert came to ringside and made some very uncomplimentary comments to you. You chased him to the back. It seems he wants to get you off your game.”

Hawkfield, “I agree that’s what he wanted. I lost my composure and I apologize for that. I must be at my best, both physically and mentally, to win this title. I am ready. If I win my match and Gilbert does the same he will try to anger me and make me lose my temper. That will not happen tonight. I meet the Tahitian Savage fist. He is big, strong and wild. I have to be ready for him.”

Johnson, “I don’t think there is any question that the ‘Virtual Warrior’ is focused and ready for action. When we return from commercial the first semi-final will be in the ring.”

Pedicino, “With me is the ‘Redneck Rebel’. Mr. Gilbert you made some very incendiary comments toward Wolf Hawkfield. If you defeat Bobby Blaze you will meet Hawkfield in the finals. He will have revenge on his mind.”

Gilbert, “Yea and you’ve got gravy and sweet potato pie on you mind you fat hog! That stupid redskin lucked out, and now he’s going to have to face me. I’m going to scalp him!”

Pedicino, “You have to beat Bobby Blaze first.”

Gilbert, “Tell me something I don’t know! I’m going to take care of that punk kid in record time.”

Boni, “Your career is certainly heading up. The American Title Tournament will begin in a short time and people are talking about you as a top contender.”

Sammartino, “I want that title. I know the field will be tough, but I’m ready for any challenge.”

Boni, “Let’s see David in action.”

Johnson, “With me is Tommy Watanabe. He is a wrestling journalist from Tokyo, Japan. Mr. Watanabe is an expert on women’s wrestling, in particular Japanese women’s wrestling. The distaff of side of the wrestling world is enjoying world-wide acclaim and some of the finest female wrestlers come from Japan. Tommy can you give us more information?”

Watanabe, “Thank you Craig. Women’s wrestling is on fire right now. The most prestigious title in the women’s division is the World Women’s Wrestling Association, or ‘WWWA, Title. It is signified by the famous ‘Red Belt’. It was first held, in the 1930’s, by the legendary Mildred Burke. It is now held by Aja Kong a fantastic wrestler from Japan. Craig I know you have an announcement to make.”

Johnson, “I do Tommy. Next week we will be at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. Aja Kong will be there, with the ‘Red Belt’. In the coming weeks more female wrestlers from both Japan and the United States will be appearing in ACW. The WWWA Title will be defended in ACW and we are very excited about that. As we go to commercial here are highlights of Aja Kong in action.”

Joe Pedicino is with Brother Love and his entourage.

Pedicino, “With me is Brother Love and his men. Brother Love, last week, your men jumped the Green Berets after their match. Why?”

Love, “Brother Joe your eyesight seems to be failing you, but I looooove yooooou anyway. The Green Berets were inflicting undue punishment on their foes and Brother Tex and Brother Shanghai could not stand it. They came to the aid of those two unfortunate wrestlers. That’s the type of men I manage.”

Pedicino, “O.K. Brother Love the tournaments for the American Tag Team Title and the American Heavyweight Championship are coming up. There are a lot of people who think your men have good chances to win both titles.”

Love, “I looooove those people who say we will win. They are very well educated and refined. Brother Tex and Brother Shanghai will be tag champions and Brother Bully will be the American Champion. I know it will come to pass.”

Pedicino, “I hate to agree with Brother Love, but he may be right. Let’s see Tex Slanzanger and Shanghai Pierce in the ring.”

Johnson, “Commissioner Race the American TV Champion will be decided in just a few minutes. That’s one of the titles for ACW. We also have the American Tag Team Title and the American Heavyweight Title. I know you have updates on both of those.”

Race, “Yes I do Craig. The TV Title tournament has gone very well. The Championship match should be a great one. Both men are very deserving. Now let me address the tag team titles. Tournament matches will take place all over the country in the coming week. If you get a chance to get to an ACW show, you will see a tournament match. Next Saturday two teams will be left. They will meet, here on ‘American Championship Wrestling’, for the titles. There are so many great teams in ACW you know two great teams will survive and be with us next week.”

Johnson, “That is some news. We could see the Green Berets, Slazanger and Pierce, the Wild Bunch and man others. What an exciting week it will be. Now about the American Heavyweight Title.”

Race, “Next week we will announce the ground rules for the tournament that will fill our last, and most significant title.”

Johnson, “ACW is coming together. Don’t miss any of the action. When we return the TV Title will be decided.”

The match is fast and hard hitting. Both men have their chances. Gilbert goes for the piledriver, but Hawkfield blocks it. He whips Gilbert into the ropes and hits the cyber spear. Hawkfield covers him and referee Jack Doane counts the fall. Wolf Hawkfield is the TV Champion! He holds the title belt aloft.

Johnson, “Thank you Mr. Race. We have a fantastic tag title match tonight. Qualifying matches took place all over the country and two teams have survived to meet tonight. Let’s get right to the two teams. First of all, Brother Love has to be in heaven, his team. Tex Slazanger and Shanghai Pierce will be one of the two teams. They will meet the popular team of Cpl Kirschner and Rambo, the Green Berets. We know who the fans will be behind in that one. That’s not all we have for you tonight. One half of the ‘Wild Bunch’, Bobby Duncum Jr., will meet Bobby Blaze and in our opening match Aja Kong will be here to meet Reggie Bennett. What an exciting 90 minutes of action we have for you. Watanabe, “Kong is the best in Japan right now, and maybe the best in the world. There are many wrestlers who want a shot at the ‘Red Belt’, but no one has been able to take it from her.”

Johnson, “We told you many female wrestlers were coming to ACW. Next week we will see another lady from Japan. This week we saw the big, next week the small, Chaparrita ASARI, all 4-11 of her will be here. Tommy tell us about Chaparrita.”

Watanabe, “Like you said she is 4-11, but don’t let her size fool you. She is known as the ‘Sky Dancer’. ASARI may be the best aerial wrestler, male, or female, in the world today. Her Skytwister Press’ is one of the most devastating moves in wrestling.”

Love, “Brother Pedicino I looooove yooooou! And I looooove the fans of ACW! You are correct; my men are riding high in ACW. Brother Tex and Brother Shanghai are about to take care of those tin soldiers and Brother Bully will be the American Champion in a matter of days. When you live the righteous life and spread looooove like my men and myself do, you will receive riches and we have them.”

Pedicino, “You are very confident and have good reason to be. After our next match, Craig Johnson and Commissioner Race will have updated information on the American Title. Now let’s see Nick Busick in action.”

Craig Johnson and Harley Race are seated at a table with the American Heavyweight Title belt.

Johnson, “Last week Wolf Hawkfield won the American Television Title. Later in this program the Green Berets will meet Tex Slazanger and Shanghai Pierce to crown the American Tag Team Champions. That will only leave one title, the American Heavyweight Title. Commissioner Race please talk about this title.”

Race, “The American Heavyweight Title is the most prestigious title in ACW and will soon be one of the most prestigious titles in wrestling. During the coming week tournament matches will take place all over the country. Two survivors will be in Columbus, OH next week to wrestle for the title. It will be a grueling week, but the effort will be worth it. One man will wear this belt and be on top of the wrestling world.”

Johnson, “Here are some of the names that are entered, David Sammartino, Nick Busick, Billy Black, Vic Steamboat and many others. Whoever survives to wrestle next week will be a deserving champion. Remember the tag titles will be decided in our main event tonight. When we return, Vic Steamboat will be in action.”

Boni, “With me are the ‘Wild Bunch’ Bobby Duncum Jr. and Billy Black. Bobby Duncum you meet Bobby Blaze in our next match. You two have been very impressive, but so has Bobby Blaze.”

Duncum, “Listen to me missy! What do you know about wrestling? You should be back in the kitchen frying up chicken and mashed potatoes, not talking about wrestling! You think Bobby Blaze has a chance against me? Don’t kid yourself. Billy black and myself are the top guys around here. Blaze is a punk that thinks he can make a name for himself, by wrestling me, well it ain’t gonna happen! I’m gonna take care of him real quick like.”

Black, “You know Boni, if you went home, put on some make up and got a right pretty dress, you might get a man to pay attention to you and you wouldn’t have to be out here asking stupid questions!”

Boni, “Very enlightened comments from Mr. Black. Let’s go to the ring and see Bobby Duncum Jr. and Bobby Blaze.”

After the pin Billy Black runs in and he and Duncum pound away until wrestlers from the back break things up.

Pedicino is with the Green Berets.

Pedicino,”Gentlemen you have earned the right to wrestle for the tag team title. I know it wasn’t easy. You must be very proud.”

Rambo, “Cpl Kirschner and I gave our all for our country and the great people who live here. We have brought that same attitude into professional wrestling. We have been through many hardships, but they made us tough. We met several great teams on the way to tonight. It wasn’t easy, but we did if for our country and the fans!”

Kirschner, “Just what Rambo said. We are both very proud. The fans have been behind us and we want to win for them. We fought for our country and now we wrestle for it! Brother Love is a cheat, but his team is very good. We won’t take them lightly, but it will be just like Granada and Kuwait, there is no way to stop two proud American soldiers!”

Pedicino, “The Green Berets are ready for battle. When we return the tag titles will be up for grabs.”

The Green Berets vs. Tex Slazanger and Shangahai Pierce w/Bother Love

The match is a slugfest. Brother Love tries to get involved, but Kirschner decks him and he falls to the arena floor. Rambo hits the backbreaker on Pierce for the win. The crowd explodes as the Green Berets win the American Tag Team Titles.

Johnson, “Welcome to Columbus, OH! Two weeks ago Wolf Hawkfield won the American TV Title, last week the Green Berets won the American Tag Team Titles, this week, the big one. Two men will meet with this beautiful title at stake. Let’s go to Commissioner Race and he will announce the men who will be in action later tonight.”

Race, “Thank you Craig. Two men, who are both very deserving, are in our title match. First of all we have the man from Pittsburgh, the second generation star, David Sammartino. Mr. Sammartino will face Nick Busick. Brother Love has another chance to add a title to his collection.”

Johnson, “David Sammartino vs. Nick Busick that will be an exciting one. Brother Love missed out on the tag titles; maybe his luck will change tonight. That will be our main event. We will also hear from Bobby Blaze about the attack by the ‘Wild Bunch’ on last week’s program. Wolf Hawkfield will defend the TV Title, and in our first match, we will see another woman’s match, Chaparrita ASARI, ‘The Sky Dancer’, takes on Candy Okutsu. The card is jammed packed, let’s go to the ring.”

Johnson, “Wow! Chaparrita ASARI certainly is exciting! She is the best ariel wrestler I have seen in a long, long time.”

Watanabe, “She is one of the brightest young stars in womens wrestling. The sky is the limit for her.”

Johnson, “We are adding new womens wrestlers to our roster every week. So far we have concentrated on singles action, next week, we bring you one of the top female tag teams in wrestling, Etsuko Mita and Mima Shimoda. I’ll let Tommy tell you about them and their unusual nickname.”

Watanabe, “Mita and Shimoda are known as ‘Las Cachorras Orientales’, the Oriental Bulldogs, and they live up to that name. They are two of the most aggressive and vicious women in the sport.”

Johnson, “Well ‘LCO’ will be with us next week. We don’t want to miss that. Before we go to Boni Blackstone let’s see LCO in action.”

Blaze, “Boni I know pro wrestling is a man’s game. You have to be aware at all times. I just wish Duncum and Black were real men and didn’t backjump me, but I’m not crying about it. I’m doing something about it. There’s two of them and one of me, so I’ve evened the odds. I called a guy I wrestled with about a year ago. I told him how exciting it is in ACW and he was more than glad to come help me. Here he is Charlie Norris.”



Norris joins Blaze and shakes hands with him.

Boni, “Charlie Norris I’ve heard very good things about you.”

Norris, “Thank you Miss Blackstone. I met Bobby about a year ago in my home state of Minnesota. He’s a fine young wrestler. When I heard he was having trouble with Duncum and Black I jumped at the chance to come here and help him. We’ll wrestle them in tag, or singles matches, we don’t care.”

Boni, “When we return Bobby and Charlie will be in action.”

Pedicino, “Mr. Hawfield you’ve held the title for a few weeks now. You have beaten all comers, but Doug Gilbert remains a thorn in your side.”

Hawkfield, “He is a very arrogant man, but he is a good wrestler. He has given me very good competition and I want that. I will wrestle him in any city in the world, at any time. I am very proud to hold this title. My people are proud, but humble. That is the way I was raised. I will not talk about how good I am, like Gilbert does, but I am confident and I will not back down from a fight.”

Peidcino, “Wolf Hawkfield has quickly become a fan favorite. When he is in action in your city don’t miss it. When we return Wolf will defend the TV Title against Bull Pain.”

Love, “Sister Boni the condescension and anger in your voice is not very flattering. It appears that those revealing clothes you wear, and that lascivious lifestyle you lead, have robbed you of the love you need to live a pure and chaste life. However I looooove yooooou nonetheless.”

Boni, “Brother Love we are not talking about my wardrobe. We are here to talk about the title match tonight.”

Love, “Yes we are. Sister Boni this is going to be the greatest night of my life. Brother Bully will destroy Sammartino. The training that Brother Bully has gone through in the past few weeks has been rigid. He is living the pure chaste life of a Champion. He is eating right, not Sammartino and those large pizzas and canolis he eats. This will be a glorious night for me and Brother Bully. We will then use our position to spread looooove through ACW.”

Black, “Charlie Norris, you’ve gotta be kidding me. Bobby Duncum Jr. and I are two tough Southern Boys and you think those two fools think they can beat us, come on! Both of us are in our prime and we’re looking for good competition and now these two get in our way. They want a piece of us, well they can have it. We’ll wrestle them any place, any time.”

Johnson, “Fans we have seen many great wrestlers show up in ‘ACW’. This will continue next week as two veterans with fantastic reputations will be here. First of all, one of the toughest men in the sport, a former World Tag Team Champion, Demolition Ax will be here. Let’s see Ax in action.”

Johnson, “This man is still a force in professional wrestling. Ax will soon make a name for himself in ACW. The next man is also well known and he has held numerous titles in various organizations, M‘r. USA’ Tony Atlas will be here. Not only will Atlas be in action, but he has a big announcement to make. You won’t want to miss that. Let’s see highlights of Atlas and then Boni Blackstone will speak with David Sammartino.”

Boni, “David in a few minutes you step into the ring against Nick Busick. The winner will be the American Heavyweight Champion. Tell us what you are thinking.”

Sammmartino, “My father was a great Champion. I’ve held various titles, but none as big as this one. I am ready and I am very proud to have this opportunity. Busick is tough, Brother Love is sneaky, but I am focused and ready for anything. I will be the American Heavyweight Champion.”

Boni, “This will be a great one. When we return the American Heavyweight Title will be a stake.”

“The Bully” Nick Busick w/Brother Love vs. David Sammartino

Busick jumps Sammartino before the bell. The early moments all belong to Busick as he punishes Sammartino. David begins to rally and the Columbus crowd gets behind him. It looks good for him, but Brother Love is able to distract him. Busick hits the heart punch and covers Sammartino. Referee Jack Doan counts 1…2…3! Nick Busick is the “American Heavyweight Champion”.

Johnson, “Welcome to the Nutter Center on the Campus of Wright State University. Tonight will be a jammed packed show from start to finish. We have a great tag team main event, the ‘Wild Bunch’ meets Charlie Norris and Bobby Blaze, we will see the Japanese ladies tag team, ‘LCO’, in action and we will see the ACW debuts of Demolition Ax and Tony Atlas, but first let’s bring out the new American Heavyweight Champion Nick Busick.

Brother Love and his entourage come out.

Johnson, “Brother Love congratulations on your man winning the American Title. You must be very proud.”

Love, “Brother Craig and Brother Harley I looooove yooooou! Brother Bully is the American Heavyweight Champion and everyone loooooves him!”

Johnson, “I don’t know about that, he’s the Champion, but David Sammartino is the ‘People’s Choice’.”

Love, “Oh we are not worried about him. He will fall by the wayside. We have bigger fish to fry.”

Race, “Stop right there Love. Your man is the Champion, he won it, mostly fair and square, but all title matches have a rematch clause. David Sammartino deserves a rematch and he will get one. The date and place will be announced later in the program.”

Lover, “Wait, wait, wait! That is not showing looooove to your Champion, Brother Harley. We deserve better competition!”

Race, “David Sammartino is good competition, he’s proven that. He will get a rematch and we will announce it later.”
Brother Love and Nick Busick stutter and stammer.

Johnson, “Tommy welcome back. We look forward to your input each week. We have seen several top notch women wrestlers in the past couple of weeks and this week we see one of the top tag teams in the world ‘Los Cachorras Orientales’, Etsuko Mita and Mima Shimoda.”

Watanabe, “They are tough, there is no other way to describe them. I know the fans here in America will be very impressed.”

Johnson, “Before we get to this match let’s talk about next week. The WWWA Champion will be here. Aja Kong will be in the ring against a fine wrestler named Bison Kimura. Tommy tell us about this one.”

Watanabe, “Bison Kimura a veteran wrestler and a top contender for the ‘Red Belt’. This will be a great match.”

Ax, “You got one thing right Pedicino, I am a legend. This is the newest and fastest growing territory in wrestling. The talent here is very impressive. I have a lot of experience and I’ve had a lot of success, and I feel I have one last run left in me and I want to do it here.”

Pedicino, “You are a multiple time World Tag Team Champion, will you be looking for a partner?”

Boni, “This seems to be ‘Legends Night’ here in ACW. With me is Tony ‘Mr. USA’ Atlas. Tony welcome to ACW.”

Atlas, “Thank you Miss Boni, it’s good to be here.”

Boni, “Tony what are your plans?”

Atlas, “I’ve got a couple things in mind. I want to wrestle the best and make a name for myself. I’ve been around for a while, but I’ve got something left in the tank. The second reason I’m here is to give back to the sport. I’ve got a lot of experience and I’ve become a mentor to a fine young wrestler and I’d like to bring him out here…2Cold Scorpio.”



Scorpio comes out and hugs Atlas.

Boni, “2Cold Scorpio is one of the top up and comers in the sport. Tony this is quite a big announcement.”

Atlas, “This young man will be a Champion some day, you can count on it.”

Scorpio, “I’ve very proud to have a veteran like Tony to help me. I’m ready to get started.”

Boni, “When we return 2Cold Scorpio will be in action.”

Johnson, “’American Championship Wrestling’ and ESPN 2 have forged a partnership that is taking the wrestling and TV world by storm. Our ratings have been off the charts and the feedback from fans has been unbelievable. On July 4, ACW and ESPN 2 will take a giant step forward. I will let Commissioner Race tell you about it.”

Race, “On July 4 ACW will present ‘Red, White and Boom’. We will be at Cooper Stadium in Columbus, OH, the home of the Columbus Clippers. We will present a great night of wrestling followed by a fireworks show. The fans in Columbus will have a great time, and so will the fans all over the country because ESPN 2 will televise the show live beginning at 8:00 PM EDT. We will show two hours of exciting action.”

Johnson, “That is great news. Commissioner Race I know you have one match to announce for July 4.”

Race, “Yes we do. The American Heavyweight Title will be on the line. Nick Busick will defend the title against David Sammartino.”

Johnson, “What a great main event. In the coming days we will announce more matches. Now let’s go to the ring.”

Boni Blackstone is with Charlie Norris and Bobby Blaze.

Boni, “Gentleman in a few minutes you face the ‘Wild Bunch’. A rivalry has been growing between you and them.”

Norris, “Bobby needed my help to even the odds and I came a running. Those two are rough, but we are ready!”

Blaze, “I wanted a fair match with Duncum, but he and Black can’t fairly, so now I have my friend with me. We’re ready for action!”

Boni, “Let’s go to Joe Pedicino and the ‘Wild Bunch”.”

Pedicino, “Gentlemen you heard Norris and Blaze.”

Black, “A redskin and sissy? Do you think we’re worried about them?”

Duncum, “How come they get Blackstone and we get this fat tub of lard? I suppose she can’t control herself around real men.”

Pedicino, “The ‘Wild Bunch’ are always polite and friendly. When we return out main event will be in the ring.”

Match #6
Bobby Blaze and Charlie Norris vs. “The Wild Bunch”
The match is hard hitting and goes back and forth. The “Wild Bunch” seems to get the edge, but Blaze rallies. Blaze catches Duncum in the sleeper. Referee Jimmy Jett is ready to call for the bell when Joel Deaton hits the ring. He smashes Blaze, who releases the sleeper. The “Wild Bunch” begins a three on two attack. Finally wresters from the back break up the action. The “Wild Bunch” is now three men.
