I should point out that the matches were taped before the Midwest Title Tournament took place.
Your ring announcer is Randy Hales
OPENING:
As the music plays, scenes from the 70's and early 80's in the wrestling promotions in St. Louis, Memphis, Indianapolis, Kansas City, & Detroit are shown.
MICHAEL ST. JOHN: (voice over) From the capital of the wrestling world, St. Louis, Missouri, it's MIDWEST CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING! For the next 60 minutes, you'll see the best action that pro wrestling has to offer! Now, down to ringside and your hosts, Michael St. John and wrestling great, Johnny Weaver!
We start out on a wide shot of the venue. Along with the ring, a small stage is set up. There are several instruments on the stage. We cut to Weaver & St. John at ringside.
ST. JOHN: We have a great hour of wrestling action this week. Right now, let's go to the ring for our first match!
KENDALL WINDHAM VS. RANDY BARBER:
Windham makes short work of Barber, pinning him after a lariat.
Immediately following the match, we cut to the stage....
RANDY HALES: Performing "Imagine What I Could Do To You, please welcome the Exotic Adrian Street!
Street's performance gets a mixed reaction. A few of the fans like it and cheer, but there are a smattering of boos. Most of the people in attendance don't seem to know what to make of it all.
STREET: Thank you! I realize that you are starstruck to be in my presence! I also see that dear boy Kendall Windham!
I am well acquainted with young Kendall as well as his father and big brother. Next week, I shall perform yet another original composition and dedicate it to you, Kendall!
Cut to Kendall leaving the ring area and glaring at Street!
STREET: I promised to introduce the world to a group of wrestlers collectively known as THE EXPERIENCE! I promise you that we shall dominate the sport of professional wrestling! First, let me introduce a rising star, a young man who I'm sure will be a household name in a short time....
FLAMBOYANT ERIC EMBRY!!!
Embry joins Street & Linda!
Next, a worldwide sensation! A wrestler who has always been ahead of his time...
CHRIS COLT!!!!
Colt struts onto the stage! The three members of The Experience embrace and raise each other's hands in triumph!
ST. JOHN: Three great wrestlers, but I have a feeling they'll cause a lot of trouble in Midwest Championship Wrestling!
WEAVER: I'm afraid you're right, Michael!

Includes a localized promo:
Rand Hales stands in front of the Midwest Championship Wrestling logo.
HALES: Tomorrow night, wrestling returns to KEMPER ARENA in Kansas City! It's the tournament for the Midwest Tag Team Championship! Here are your first round matches:
BLACK BART/MISSING LINK VS. MARK YOUNGBLOOD/KENDALL WINDHAM
OLE & LARS ANDERSON VS. BORIS ZHUKOV/ALEXIS SMIRNOFF
THE MOONDOGS VS. GREG GAGNE & HIS PARTNER
ZAMBUIE EXPRESS VS. MASTER G/CARLOS COLON
ISLAND EXPRESS VS. BULLDOG BOB BROWN/IRON MIKE SHARPE
Right now, Sir Oliver Humperdink joins me. The House of Humperdink has four teams in the tournament! What happens if two of your teams have to wrestle against each other?
HUMPERDINK: The peons of Kansas City will see an amazing athletic contest that they are unworthy of if that should happen! Regardless, the odds are in favor of the House of Humperdink winning the tag team belts tomorrow night! I want a clean sweep! I am demanding that Dick The Bruiser also grant my man, the Great Kabuki a match for the Midwest Heavyweight Championship tomorrow night so the House of Humperdink will have all the gold! We deserve it!
HALES: Right now, let me bring in Bulldog Bob Brown> Bulldog, you will be teamed with Iron Mike Sharpe. Your opponents are an exciting young team called the Island Express!
BROWN: Randy Hales, you have a strange idea of what is exciting! What excites me is the fact that the two most impressive atheletes the nation of Canada has ever produced are coming together to be crowned the first ever Midwest Tag Team Champions! These Polynesian kids don't have the power, skill, or experience to stand up to Iron Mike and myself! We'll give them a wrestling lesson! And , with all due respect to my old friend Sir Ollie, nobody deserves these belts more than Iron Mike and me! Tomorrow night, Kansas City, a town that has always been lucky for the Bulldog will see me win yet another title there!

THE ISLAND EXPRESS (TONGA KID & SAMU) VS. PETE DOHRETY & GORGEOUS GARY ROYAL:
The Express have a solid debut. Samu sets up the pinfall with a Samoan drop on Dohrety. The Tonga Kid finishes “The Duke of Dorcester” off with the Superfly splash off the top rope. This exciting young team might be our first Midwest Tag Champions!
THE GREAT KABUKI VS. RON RITCHIE:
Kabuki is yet another weapon in the House of Humperdink arsenal. Ritchie, who Johnny Weaver calls a “young lion”, puts forth a decent effort, but Kabuki's combination of martial arts, brawling, and catch as catch can wrestling proves too much. Kabuki pins Ritchie after a double stomp to the abdomen. After the bout, Humperdink stops by the broadcast table.
HUMPERDINK: Everybody in Midwest Championship Wrestling beware! The Great Kabuki is here! His body is a weapon and he is dangerous! Everybody from Dino Bravo to Bugsy McGraw to Mark Youngblood needs to be on notice! The House of Humperdink will rule professional wrestling!

WEAVER: I'm here with Greg Gagne. Greg has arrived in Midwest Championship Wrestling at a very opportune time, just before the big tag team title tournament. Greg has been very successful in tag team wrestling. In the old AWA, Greg held their World Titles many times. Now, he's here in Midwest and I understand that you're ready to introduce a brand new partner!
GAGNE: Thanks, Johnny. It's always great to be here in St. Louis. You're right, I've been very successful as a tag team wrestler. A big reason is that I've always had a great partner. His name is Jim Brunzell, but he has moved on. Jim is doing great things out in L.A. I wish him well, but it's time to move forward! I've been travelling all over the world, looking for the right partner. I think I found him down in Arlington, Texas. Fritz Von Erich trained him, so you know he has to be tough! Welcome BRIAN ADIAS to Midwest Championship Wrestling!
BRIAN ADIAS VS. MIKE JACKSON:
Gagne stays at ringside to assist with commentary. Adias impresses everybody with his performance. Adias gets a convincing win as he pins his opponent with a victory roll. Gagne says he is very confident in his new partner.

OLE & LARS ANDERSON VS. THE GREAT TIO & TONY FALK:
The Andersons use their ususal rugged style to dominate the action. Ole pins Falk after a piledriver. Weaver predicts the Minnesota Wrecking Crew will win the tournament tomorrow night in KC!

MOONDOGS (SPOT & REX) VS. LEAPING LANNY POFFO & “QUICK DRAW” RICK MCGRAW:
It's the power and brutality of the 'dogs(managed by Oliver Humperdink) against the speed and athleticism of Poffo & McGraw. The faces have their moments, but Spot & Rex will not be denied. Spot gets the pin on McGraw after the Moondogs hit the elbow smash/backbreaker combo. Micahel St. John predicts the Moondogs will win the tournament tomorrow night.

MISSING LINK VS. PAUL GARNER:
Humperdink leads yet another House member to the ring! Garner is completely overwhelmed by the wild and crazy Link! The Link gets the convincing pin after a diving headbutt! Weaver says that the House of Humperdink is going to cause a lot of problems for wrestlers here in Midwest Championship Wrestling!
Johnny Weaver is standing by in a locker room.
WEAVER: Ladies and gentlemen, Johnny Weaver here on special assignment at the Kiel Arena in St. Louis! The tournament to crown a Midwest Heavyweight Champion is over! It was a grueling night, but DINO BRAVO came through! Here is your Midwest Heavyweight titleholder, Dino Bravo!
Dino walks into the frame, belt around his waist!
BRAVO: Thank you, Johnny Weaver! It was a long, hard road! The competition here tonight was the toughest I ever faced! I want to thank the fans here for their support! I couldn't have won this belt without them!
WEAVER: You faced a stiff challenge in the finals against Kabuki. He and Humperdink used every dirty trick in the book, but you showed you were willing to fight fire with fire!
BRAVO: It was like a battle to the death out there! I'm a survivor! I'm a scientific wrestler and I'm very proud of that, but if I have to get rough, I'll do that, too! I'll be a fighting champion! I want to be somebody that all of these fans in the Midwest can be proud of!
WEAVER: Well, I certainly take a lot of pride in you being my champion! Dino, best of luck to you, my friend!
