Platt and Stewart welcome the fans to the show.
Highlights from “Continental Wrestling Wildfire” February 16, 1985:
*Sunshine tells fans that Eddie Gilbert can get the job done, unlike Kevin Kelly and Nick Kiniski.
*Chris Colt is injured by Izzy Slapowitz, Doug Vines, and Jeff Sword after Colt loses to Scott McGhee.
*The Dream Machine won’t join The Devil’s Playground in beating down Porkchop Cash.
*Ron Fuller vows he won’t lose to Tony Atlas again.
*Later in the same program, members of The Stud Stable handcuff Scott Casey and Atlas to the ropes and injure them. They are carried out on a stretcher.
Match One:
The Rock-N-Roll RPM’s (Mike Davis/Tommy Lane) b. Mark Fleming/The Avenger
Platt asks The RPM’s why they didn’t come out to help Porkchop Cash. Davis says that he and Lane are ready to move on to bigger and better things than The Devil’s Duo. Lane says that The Armstrongs need to keep their eyes open.
Match Two:
Ron Starr b. Brad Batten
Starr says that he wants Les Thornton next week in a match for the Showcase Junior Heavyweight Title. Stewart says that doctors are concerned that Thornton may have a concussion due to the chair shits Starr gave him after their Dothan match. He may not be cleared by next week. Well, if he can’t Starr expects The Wrestling Pro to put the belt back where it belongs.
Match Three:
Randy Rose b. Hubert Gallant
After a running knee lift pin. Rose puts a Wrestling Pro mask on Gallant. He executes several suplexes, demanding that “Pro, get up”!! Platt calls for a commercial.
Match Four:
Bobby Jaggers b. Alexis Smirnoff w/Tojo Yamamoto
Jaggers pins Smirnoff clean here, landing a spear off the ropes after ducking a heart punch. Platt tries to get an interview with Tojo. It doesn’t last long because a member of the TV crew tells the manager he has a phone call from “Mother Russia”. Tojo looks scared and leaves quickly,
Match Five:
Kevin Kelly b. Banzai
The former Phil Hickerson comes out without Tojo. He looks all right, though, but Kelly gets a submission with an inverted bearhug. Kelly wants to talk about Sunshine, who he says is drinking her own kool-aid way too much. Her strategy involved a lot of shortcuts and that isn’t Nick or me. We are better off without her.
Platt and Stewart are about to close the show when they mention there is a disturbance in the back. Tojo is shown getting in a limo in the parking lot. It speeds away. The announcers wonder out loud if they have seen the last of Tojo Yamamoto.
Gene Watson says to tune back in to CWS on CMT next week.
