EXTREME WARFARE LIVE ON MTV!!!! 7/5/1996 YOUR HOSTS: JOEY STYLES & VIC VENOM
Joey Styles and Vic Venom join us from the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City for Extreme Warfare. They welcome their first guest – the Human Suplex Machine Taz! ‘War Machine’ plays as 911 and Chris Chetti are out carrying a ‘Team Taz’ banner. Paul Heyman is following closely behind them, and finally out is Taz! The pomp and circumstance ends as Taz enters the ring and is congratulated on his Barely Legal ’96 win over Dan ‘The Beast’ Severn. Styles notices that there are a few more cheers than usual for Taz. Taz no-sells this and says he people can cheer for him if they want – all he cares about is choking his opponent out! Paul Heyman then steps up and discusses the events of the last six months. Taz has beaten everyone that XPW has thrown at him – except the one opponent who XPW has been too scared to put him in the ring with.
Taz takes over and says he proved a lot by choking out Dan Severn in the biggest PPV match of the year, but there is one person in the locker-room who he needs to have a showdown with. Taz says he got his start teaming with this man and they caused all kind of havoc in the NWA. Since that time, they have been kept apart first by the NWA and now by Xtreme Pro Wrestling. Taz says the time is them now for them to meet in the ring to show the world who the better man really is. That man… is SABU! The crowd cheers as Taz says he wants Sabu, and nobody in Xtreme Pro Wrestling will stop him from getting his shot at the homicidal, genocidal, suicidal, death-defying maniac! Taz now poses in the center of the ring as Joey Styles and Vic Venom discuss the implications of Taz challenging his former partner Sabu!
The first match today features the brand new World Light Heavyweight Champion Jerry Lynn defending his gold against Kaz Hayashi. These two really pull out all the stops and give the fans quick an aerial war. The finish sees Kaz Hayashi misses a senton splash off the top rope. Lynn rebounds by kicking Kaz in the stomach as he arises and plans him with the cradle pile-driver! Lynn covers and he gets the three count for his first successful title defense!
. . . . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . . . . .
Vic Venom and Joey Style that right here next week will see two of the best light heavyweights in the world debut here in Xtreme Pro Wrestling – against one another. In one corner it will be the insane luchador Super Crazy from Mexico, and his opponent will be the phenom from Michinoku Pro Wrestling known as Hakushi! Right here next week, it will be Hakushi against Super Crazy on Extreme Warfare live on MTV!
J.T. Smith is standing in the ring and he is ready for a match against Raven’s Nest member The Blue Meanie! Meanie and Nova are making their way to the ring next… as Judge Jeff Jones steps out onto the stage! Jones tells the audience that he promised to start doling justice here in Xreme Pro Wrestling. That time has come – and the first convict to feel his wrath is the scumbag standing in the ring (Smith). The judge says, “The sentence has been past. You have been found guilty of crimes against wrestling. Your sentence – IS DEATH!!!!!!!” Then, ‘The Zoo’ begins playing over the sound system here in the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City!.
THE ZOO!!!!!
IT’S MIKE AWESOME!!!!!!!
Blue Meanie and Nova are scared shitless and they take off through the crowd as Mike Awesome storms down to the ring! J.T. Smith tries to get the jump on Awesome by launching himself at the big man, only for Mike to catch him and hurl Smith to the canvas! J.T. gets up as Mike Awesome hits the ropes and drills J.T. with a flying shoulder-block that sends Smith flying! Mike Awesome now picks up J.T. Smith, presses him above his head and throws him almost the full way across the ring!
Joey Styles: “OH MY GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWD!!!!!!!”
Judge Jeff Jones is now shouting execution as Mike Awesome picks the lifeless J.T. Smith up and pulls him into position for a pile-driver! No – he lifts Smith over his head… and takes off running! Mike Awesome sprints across the ring, hurls Smith over the top rope! AWESOME BOMB THROUGH THE RINGSIDE TABLE!!!!!!!! The fans are going nuts as Mike Awesome stands tall in the ring with Judge Jeff Jones! Jones gets on the microphone and says, “Justice has been served! And justice is… AWESOME!!!!!!!!” Mike Awesome is here in Xtreme Pro Wresrling!
. . . . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . . . .
Da Baldies (DeVito and Angel) with Vic Grimes are up next against Simon Diamond and Johnny Swinger. This is a total squash as Da Baldies dominate poor Swinger and Diamond from bell to bell. DeVito is able to score the pin after he connects with the Bronx Bomb (sitout side slam) on Simon Diamond. DeVito gets on the microphone after the match and runs his mouth about taking out both the Public Enemy and The Gangstas at Heatwave ’96.
Scott Hudson is joined in the locker-room by the Triple Threat. Extreme World Heavyweight Champion Shane Douglas boasts about beating Sandman at Heatwave ’96, and says he is ready to take on all-comers! Bam Bam Bigelow then is asked about his loss to Vader. Bigelow says he doesn’t take anything away from Vader. He got his hand raised at the PPV, but the match really settled nothing. Bigelow says he needs to know who the better man is, now that they are 1-to-1. He thinks Vaders needs to, as well. And the people need to know. So he is asking for one more match with Vader – where we will find out just who the toughest S.O.B. in the XPW really is!
. . . . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . . . . .
VTR: We got to Raven’s Nest in the dressing room as Stevie Richards is rubbing his injured head and says he wants some answers from Raven. Stevie says he has been nothing but loyal to Raven, and yet Raven still attacked him at Heatwave ’96. Raven tells Richards that he knows Stevie has been loyal, but it was the Pitbulls needed a lesson in loyalty. Raven says he has given the Pitbulls what they wanted, so they need to return his loyalty now. Quote the Raven… nevermore. Stevie looks even more confused as the scene fades out.
Joey Styles and Vic Venom send us up to the ring for our main event, as Cactus Jack takes on Butch Reed. We saw Cactus and his partner get into a brawl with Reed and Ron Simmons at Heatwave ’96. Simmons is in Butch’s corner for this match, as Mikey stands by his partner Cactus. This is a brawl that goes all over the ringside area, with both Mikey and Simmons getting involved at different points. The closing moments see Cactus lock in the Mandible Claw on Reed, only for Simmons to come in and spear him! Simmons is standing over Cactus and shouting at him, when he is tapped on the shoulder. Simmons turns around, gets booted in the gut and a Whipper Snapper! The referee is letting this go here as Mikey slides back out to the floor, while Cactus and Reed get back to their feet. Cactus kicks Reed now and connects with the Double Arm DDT! Cactus covers and gets the 1-2-3! Cactus Jack and Mikey Whipwreck celebrate on the floor as Simmons and Reed angrily stew in the ring.

EXTREME WARFARE LIVE ON MTV!!!! 7/12/1996 YOUR HOST: JOEY STYLES
Joey Styles and Vic Venom join us from the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City for Extreme Warfare. The best in wrestling continues tonight as Super Crazy from Mexico debuts in Xtreme Pro Wrestling against Hakushi from Michinoku Pro Wrestling! Joey then steps into the ring, where commissioner Dory Funk Jr. is in the ring with Extreme World Heavyweight Champion ‘The Franchise’ Shane Douglas. Shane says he’s not like all these other shlubbos here in Xtreme Pro Wrestling. He’s the champion and he doesn’t have to put up with surprises. Shane has beaten the Sandman and now he wants to know who his next opponent will be.
Dory Funk Jr. tells Douglas that he had no plans to keep the next challenger a surprise, he just had to make sure the I’s were dotted and the t’s were crossed in the contract. He can announce now that Douglas will defend the Extreme World Heavyweight Championship at the MTV special XPW’s Big Ass Extreme Bash on August 16 against a former two-time World Heavyweight Champion. This man first held the UWF World Heavyweight Champion, and a few years ago held the AWA World Heavyweight Championship. Some realization dons on Shane Douglas and he begins shaking his head and says, “not him.” Francine is trying to calm him down as Funk then points to the aisle way.
THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN!!!!!
IT’S TERRY ‘BAM BAM’ GORDY!!!!!!!!
The Freebird soaks in a frenzied reaction as he charges to the ring and whips through the ropes. Douglas tries to wallop him with the belt as Funk, Styles and Francine clear the scene! Gordy ducks the belt smash, spins around and kicks Douglas in the gut! Terry scoops Douglas up and plants him right in the center of the ring with the pile-driver! Douglas is out like a light as Terry Gordy hypes up the crowd by grabbing the title belt and flinging it over his shoulder! Sean Morely is out now and he pulls Shane to the outside as Gordy tosses the belt out to them! Joey Styles and Vic Venom hype Terry Gordy’s comeback to Xtreme Pro Wrestling and Joey boasts that Shane might have bit more than can chew this time!
. . . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . . .
Little Guido is joined by the Full Blooded Italians in the ring before our next match. The Big Don gets on the microphone says there is a new paisan joining the group – from Rome, Georgia… it’s Tracy Smothers! Smothers makes his way out is jiving to the FBI theme… as ‘Big Balls’ by AC/DC begins playing in the arena. Here come Balls Mahoney and Axl Rotten to square off with the Full Blooded Italians! Smothers and Guido hold their own against the larger Balls and Axl and we have a real hardcore brawl here. The closing moment sees The Big Don crack a crutch over Axl’s back, allowing Smothers to DDT him on a road sign. Little Guido then comes off the top rope with a leg drop and scores the pin, as Smothers holds off Balls Mahoney! The FBI juke and jive on the floor, until Balls and Axl grab some chairs and run them off.
International Heavyweight Champion Vader joins Scott Hudson in the dressing room. Vader tells Hudson that he went into Heatwave with something to prove against Bigelow, and he feels like he proved something. But, like Bam Bam said last week, there are still questions. So to answer Bigelow, he’ll put the belt on the line any time and any place!
. . . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . . . .
Kaz Hayashi is up next as he faces off with Simon Diamond, who is accompanied by Johnny Swinger. Hayashi controls the pace earlier on and he gets in some big spots, including a slingshot moonsault on Diamond. The match is going for several minutes, when Judge Jeff Jones steps out on the apron and the fans start going nuts. Jones: “Kaz Hayashi, the sentence has been past. You have been found guilty of crimes against wrestling. Your sentence – IS DEATH!!!!!!!”
THE ZOO!!!!!
IT’S MIKE AWESOME!!!!!!!
The massive Mike Awesome storms the ring and propels himself over the top rope with a slingshot shoulder-block that wipes out Hayashi! Swinger and Diamond get the hell out of dodge to the floor as Mike Awesome scoops Hayashi above his head, reps him three times and throws him across the ring! Hayashi is out of it as Mike scoops him, lifts him high into the air and drives him to the canvas with a sickening Awesome Bomb! Jones screams for justice as Mike Awesome now climbs up top, launches himself into the air and obliterates Hayashi with a frog splash! Judge Jeff Jones now steps into the ring and gets on the microphone: “Justice has been served! And justice is… AWESOME!!!!!!!!”
. . . . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . . . .
Scott Hudson is joined backstage by The Eliminators, who will get a title shot against Extreme Tag Team Champions The Pitbulls at the XPW Big Ass Extreme Bash on August 17 here on MTV! Saturn says Raven is always playing mind games so he is sure the Nest will be a factor, despite whatever is going on between Raven and the Pitbulls. Saturn says as far as he is concerned, he and Kronus are the uncrowned champions. It’s time for that to change and it will change at XPW’s Big Ass Extreme Bash right here on MTV!
‘The Beast from the East’ Bam Bam Bigelow of the Triple Threat is in the ring as we come back from the interview and he is in action tonight against Nova of Raven’s Nest. Nova is obviously much smaller, but he uses his aerial expertise to get a few shots in. That doesn’t stop Bigelow from basically bull-dozing him and scoring the pin after come off the top rope with the flying head-butt.
. . . . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . . . .
Da Baldies are interviewed on the ramp by Scott Hudson before the main event. DeVito says he and his partners have run both The Gangstas and The Public Enemy out of XPW in one shot! DeVito rants and raves, until Johnny Grunge and Flyboy Rocco Rock charge from behind them and begin brawling on the stage with all three Baldies. The numbers allow Da Baldies to gain an advantage and they look like they are going to spike power-bomb Johnny Grunge off the ramp and through a table below!
Angelo and Grimes are about to destroy Grunge with the power bomb, when The Gangstas burst onto the scene! New Jack breaks a broom over Angel’s back, as Mustafa uses a staple on Grimes’ forehead! DeVito is still brawling with Flyboy Rocco, who spine-busters DeVito on the stage! Flyboy then tends to Grunge as The Gangstas beat down Angel and Grimes. The Public Enemy and The Gangstas then go face-to-face – and then they start brawling as well! Da Baldies are back up soon and we have a war on the ramp. Finally, a dozen security guards, Dory Funk Jr. and several wrestlers get involved to break these seven psychopaths up!
. . . . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . . . .
Joey Styles and Vic Venom hype the main event, which pits the Mexican luchador Super Crazy against Japan’s Hakuski. Hakushi is led down to the ring by Michinoku Pro representative Sonny Onoo, and then Super Crazy arrives as ‘No More Tears’ by Ozzy Osbourne plays in the Hammerstein Ballroom.
Super Crazy and Hakushi meet in the center of the ring as the match begins, and they shake hands. The match starts as they square off, with Hakushi sending Crazy off the ropes. Crazy flings back immediately with a cross-body attempt, but Hakushi ducks it and drills him with a stiff kick to the chest as Crazy gets back up. Crazy recoils and backs up, as he starts to change his strategy here. They both square off again, and Hakushi goes for another spin kick. Crazy dodges it this time, grabs Hakushi by the back of the head, slips his own legs, dives backwards and drives the back of Hakushi’s head into the canvas.
Crazy then jets to the ropes, leaps up and flies off with a slingshot corkscrew plancha on Hakushi! Super Crazy covers, but Hakushi is able to kick out just after two. Super Crazy is up now and he climbs up to sit on the top rope. Hakushi is up and Sonny Onoo warns him! Crazy dives off for a Tornado DDT, but Hakushi changes direction in midair and plants Crazy with a Northern Lights Suplex! Hakushi is up now and he connects with a standing moonsault – then a second one! Now Hakushi makes the cover, but Super Crazy is able to kick out.
Hakushi now grips Crazy’s arm and drags him up as he climbs backwards up the ropes. The Japanese star now precariously walks across the ring ropes, and then leaps off – and hooks a frankensteiner! Crazy spins out and crashes to the canvas as the fans are now on their feet! Hakushi is up as well now as he hits the ropes for a corkscrew elbow drop! Hakushi covers again, and he gets the 1-2-no! Sonny Onoo argues with the referee as Hakushi sits back up and nods as a sign of respect to the formidable effort by his opponent.
The Japanese star perches now as Super Crazy gets to his feet and he leaps with a cartwheel and goes for a super kick! Crazy sees it up, grabs the leg and sweeps the other. Hakushi is quickly up as Super Crazy leaps to the second rope, jumps around and rills him with a flying DDT! Hakushi rolls around on the canvas as Super Crazy now scales the top ropes. Hakushi is down still as Super Crazy leaps off with a beautiful senton splash that connects! Vic Venom thinks it’s over as Crazy rolls Hakushi over and goes for the pin to get the 1-2-NO!
Hakushi was able to get his shoulder up! Styles and Venom both put over the incredible resilience of these two superstars. Crazy now grabs the arms and legs and he locks in the inverted surfboard! Hakushi is clearly in pain as Sonny Onoo urges him to hold on. Super Crazy keeps adjusting the hold to make it the most effect, but Hakushi removes to submit so he releases it. Super Crazy now signals for the end and he pulls Hakushi in for some kind of suplex or brain-buster. Hakushi shoots him off, and then he does drill Crazy with a super kick! The force sends Crazy sprawling out to the floor as Hakushi hits the opposite ropes. Crazy is up now as Hakushi dives over the top rope with the Flying Space Tiger Drop!!
Both men are out on the floor as the fans chant for them! Sonny Onoo looks very worried for Hakushi, who may have taken himself out of the game with that dangerous move! Crazy is the first one to stir after several moments and he rolls back into the ring. Sonny Onoo is trying to help Hakushi up as Super Crazy now scales the top rope, leaps off, and Sonny Onoo leaps away as Crazy connects with a missile dropkick on Hakushi! They are down again here on the floor!
Super Crazy is up again and he grabs the prone Hakushi and throws him back to the ring. Super Crazy now scoops Hakushi up for the Crazy Bomb, but Hakushi fights it in mid-air and looks like he is trying to turn it into a frankensteiner! Super Crazy finally has the strength and he sits out – driving Hakushi into the canvas! Crazy is back up now and he lands three straight standing moonsaults – the Trifecta! Crazy with the cover and this time he gets the 1-2-3!!!! What a match!!!! We have never seen anything like that here on Extreme Warfare before!!!!!
World Light Heavyweight Champion Jerry Lynn is out after the bell and he steps into the ring as both Hakushi and Super Crazy struggle to their feet. Lynn leads the entire Hammerstein Ballroom in giving these two incredible athletes a standing ovation! Joey Styles and Vic Venom put both men over as future champions as well, and then:
