The Judds tell everybody to stay tuned to CMT for the best in pro wrestling.
*Scott Casey b. Buddy Moreno
Following the match, Casey signs a contract to wrestle The Flame for the Continental Heavyweight Title. From off camera, The flame is shown nodding his approval, with the belt slung over his shoulder.
*SHOWCASE TV TITLE MATCH
Eddie Gilbert © b. The Blue Scorpion
Rogers joins Gilbert at the desk after the bout. Eddie tells Charlie that he will have a “special guest” coming at St. Valentine’s Day Showdown in Dothan. Or, maybe, they are already here. Gilbert and rogers are laughing, as they leave.
*NON-TITLE MATCH
Ron Starr and Les Thornton wrestle to a DRAW. Thornton asks for an extra 5 minutes. Starr reluctantly agrees. Two minutes into the extra period, Thornton gets the pin after a thumping powerslam. Starr irips the belt off the announce table, saying this wasn’t what he signed up for.
*Doug Vines w/Izzy Slapowitz beats b. Mike Davis by DQ
Davis uses Izzy’s good book to clobber Vines. Davis says that he wants using that book legal on the 10th.
*The Flame/Randy Rose/Pat Rose w/Ron Fuller b. Bob Armstrong/Steve Armstrong/Chris Carter
Carter is the odd man out here and falls victim to a double gut buster from The Rose Cousins. The heels don’t stop beating Carter after tying The Armstrongs in the ropes. The Wrestling pro is back out and he reverses the decision, calling out wrestlers from the back.
Gary Morris advises the fans not to miss next week’s action.
