EXTREME WARFARE 6/7
- DAN ‘THE BEAST’ SEVERN opens the show with his Open Clinic, where he displayed his wrestling talent by out maneuvering prelim wrestlers. The whole scene turned sour when rookie CHRIS CHETTI struck Severn while a low blow, while grappling. Severn recovered and cornered Chetti, but was attacked behind by 911! TAZ and PAUL HEYMAN looked on as 911 laid out Severn with the choke-slam. Taz then got in the face of the fallen Severn and gloats about getting this done “without physical contact”. He then promised the prone Severn that he was going to choke his ass out at Heatwave ’96.
(1) LITTLE GUIDO (w/ The FBI) went to a contest with MIKEY WHIPWRECK when THE FBI jumped Mikey before the match even started. They beat down poor Mikey, and CACTUS JACK was again nowhere to be found.
- DAN ‘THE BEAST’ SEVERN is shown tearing up the backstage area as he tries to find 911, TAZ and PAUL HEYMAN.
(2) International Heavyweight Champion VADER defeats SEAN MORELY (w/ Francine) in a competitive match when he connects with the Vader Bomb off the second rope at 14:45. BAM BAM BIGELOW comes out to stare him down again after the match ends.
- VTR: THE GANGSTAS join us from the streets of Compton, and NEW JACK promises that he and MUSTAFA aren’t just going to hurt THE PUBLIC ENEMY. It’s going to be a damn drive-by!
(3) World Junior Heavyweight Champion JUSHIN THUNDER LYDER defeats BLITZKRIEG by connecting with the Liger Press, even though he had Blitzkrieg beat with a leaping tombstone pile-driver at 11:10.
- RON SIMMONS promises that tonight he is going whoop The Sandman’s ass and then he is damn sure going to get his title rematch. And if Dory Funk Jr. has a problem with that, he can step to him!
(4) TAZ (w/ Paul Heyman & 911) defeats HACK MYERS by forcing him to submit to the Taz Mission at 6:11.
- The aftermath pf the match sees BRIAN LEE hit the ring to brawl with 911, and as TAZ looks to get involved, here comes DAN ‘THE BEAST’ SEVERN! Taz and Severn square off but they have been barred from any physical contact… so Severn grabs PAUL HEYMAN and drills him with a butterfly suplex! Taz freaks out as officials rush the ring and separate them before this gets out of hand!
(5) THE SANDMAN (w/ Chastity) defeats RON SIMMONS (w/ Butch Reed) when he is able to cane Simmons. This time, the distraction came when Butch Reed starting menacing Chastity, leading to the referee urging him away. Simmons then went for the cane, but Sandman snatched it away and drilled Simmons! Sandman covered as the referee turned around and counted the three! The Sandman then rolled out of the ring and caned Butch Reed for good measure! Sandman and Chastity celebrated on the floor as Ron Simmons was left dazed and confused in the ring.

EXTREME WARFARE LIVE ON MTV!!!! 6/14/1996 YOUR HOST: JOEY STYLES
Joey Styles welcomes us to Extreme Warfare and runs down tonight’s card, which will see The Pitbulls and The FBI teaming up against The Eliminators, Mikey Whipwreck and Cactus Jack… if Cactus actually shows up!
Styles is then interrupted as ‘Perfect Strangers’ by Deep Purple and out come THE TRIPLE THREAT, comprised of Extreme World Heavyweight Champion SHANE DOUGLAS, SEAN MORELY and BAM BAM BIGELOW, with their manager ‘The Queen of Extreme’ FRANCINE!
SHANE DOUGLAS: Joey Styles, what I want you to do right now is stand back because the one true World Heavyweight Champion has something to say! We all saw last week that The Sandman defeated Ron Simmons, so it’s the beer swilling, cane swinging freak who gets to face me at Heat Wave ’96! Now, correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t the #1 contender supposed to be an actual wrestler? Because I don’t think I’ve seen The Sandman use a single wrestling move in the entire time I’ve been here in Xtreme Pro Wrestling.
JOEY STYLES: Say what you want about him Shane, but the man beat Ron Simmons last week and he’s beaten your right hand man Sean Morely in the past as well!
SEAN MORELY: Watch it, Joey!
SHANE DOUGLAS: Joey, I never said he wasn’t tough. If you look at the scars on his body, you know the man has to be tough! But what isn’t is very SMART. He got lucky beating Sean here, and it also doesn’t take a genius to out-think Ron Simmons! At Heat Wave ’96, The Sandman will find out that he cannot compete with a wrestler who is not just the best wrestler, but the smartest wrestler in the world today!
The interview is interrupted at this point by none other than RON SIMMONS and his friend BUTCH REED, and they do not look happy!
RON SIMMONS: Douglas, you better steer real clear from ever speaking my name in public again. Because I ain’t go no problem dropping your ass right now and then there won’t be a title match at the PPV! In fact, that sounds like a real good idea, son!
The Triple Threat square off with Simmons and Reed, but out comes DORY FUNK JR. to order all five men in the ring not to fight!
DORY FUNK JR: This is not the time or place, gentleman! But will tell you what the right time and place is. Later here tonight, it will be The Triple Threat teaming up against The Sandman, Ron Simmons and… International Heavyweight Champion Vader! And I’ll even allow Butch Reed to stay at ringside to make sure Francine doesn’t get involved!
The situation is defused in the ring, and we can get to our first match of the evening.
BALLS MAHONEY & AXL ROTTEN v SIMON DIAMOND & JOHNNY SWINGER: Balls and Axl go hardcore in this one and as beat the brains out of poor Swinger and Diamond. The finish sees Axl connect with a power-bomb on Diamond, and then Mahoney came off the top rope with a leg drop to finish him off at 6:34.
. . . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . . .
PULSAR v NOVA: The newest member of Raven’s Nest looks to make an impact here as he takes on the #1 contender to the World Light Heavyweight Title. Nova is able to score three near falls with an ace cutter, a moon-sault and lastly a titl-a-whirl back-breaker.
Pulsar manages to rally late in the contest after connecting with a tornado DDT on the Nova. He then goes up top and drills Nova with a missile dropkick to the chin and makes the cover for the three count. Pulsar scores another major wins as he readies for his match with Jushin Thunder Lyger at the PPV!
Interview – DAN SEVERN – The Beast was embarrassed last week, but got some back when he suplexed that fat loudmouth Paul Heyman. Severn announces that he will be back on Extreme Warfare next week, if the Human Suplex Machine has enough balls to try to do something about it!
. . . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . . . .
Malia Hosaka is joined backstage by MIKEY WHIPWRECK!
MIKEY WHIPWRECK: Malia, I haven’t heard from Cactus! He hasn’t returned my calls, I even showed up at his house but his wife said he wasn’t home. I’m worried. He’s my friend, and everyone out there knows that Cactus is as hardcore as hardcore can get. I hope he shows up tonight – but frankly, I can’t promise anything!
911 v HACK MYERS: Paul Heyman is of course nowhere to be found, following being attacked by Dan Severn last week. The Extreme Shah tries his best to get some offense in on 911, who no-sells all of it. The match ends rather abruptly with Myers going for a clothesline, only to get gripped by the neck. 911 then hoisted Myers into the air and drilled him with the choke-slam to score the three count!
. . . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . . .
Interview – THE PUBLIC ENEMY – Flyboy Rocco Rock and Johnny Grunge join us from the streets of Philadelphia. Rocco says Philly is the most dangerous city on earth – the kind of city that turns two nice kids into the thugs you see before you now. That’s who The Gangstas have to face at Heatwave ’96. It won’t just be Double Table, it’ll be double ambulances for New Jack and Mustafa!
CHRIS CHETTI v KID KASH: Chetti has his cousin Taz and 911 in his corner for this match, and even that can’t help him from taking several innovative aerial maneuvers from Kid Kash. The finish sees Kid connect with a tombstone pile-driver, but 911 gets on the apron to distract the official.
Taz now slides into the ring from behind Kash, who is going to over to get 911 off the apron. Taz waist-locks him, pops the hips and drills him with a belly-to-back Taz Plex! He now puts his cousin Chetti on top of Kash and rolls out of the ring. 911 redirects the referee, who counts the 1-2-NO! Kid Kas kicks out!
Taz is stunned at ringside as Kid Kash hobbles up and hits the ropes, but Taz trips him up! Chetti now swoops in with the Samoan Driver and covers for the three count! Team Taz steals the win for rookie Chris Chetti here! Taz gets on the microphone and promises to make Severn pay for attacking Paul Heyman last week!
. . . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . . .
THE PTIBULLS & THE FULL BLOODED ITALIANS V THE ELIMINATORS, MIKEY WHIPWRECK & ?: Cactus Jack is nowhere to be found as the bell rings, but it doesn’t stop the action from getting hot and heavy. The Eliminators and The Pitbulls trade power moves early on, with Pitbull #2 almost scoring the pin with a ring-shaking power-slam on Kronus.
Saturn makes the hot tag in and connects with super kicks on both Pitbulls and then press-slams Little Guido on Big Vito! The Big Don climbs up onto the apron, but gets dropped by a right hand from Saturn. Mikey Whipwreck now makes the tag and comes off the top rope with a flying cross-body on Little Guido to score the near fall.
The Pitbulls then charge back in, only to get attacked by The Eliminators. Those two teams brawl around ringside as the camera pans to the audience, where Raven can be spotted observing the fight between The Eliminators and his Pitbulls, who also happen to be #1 contenders to his and Stevie Richards titles. This brawl allows the FBI to double-team Mikey in the ring and they really work him over.
It looks as if all is lost here, when the suddenly the crowd erupts in applause as Cactus Jack storms down the ring! Cactus hits the ring and he drills Big Vito, he drills Little Guido, he drills The Big Don! Cactus is going nuts on all three members of the FBI and then he connects with the Double Arm DDT on Big Vito to score the 1-2-3! Cactus Jack now rolls out of the ring and he grabs a steel chair!
Little Guido is wobbling up now in the ring, but Cactus drills him with the chair! A second chair shot for The Big Don! Cactus Jack is back, and he is back with a vengeance. A shocked, but happy Mikey Whipwreck goes to shake his partner’s hand, but Cactus just smiles that toothless grin and gives him a “Bang Bang” instead! Mikey and Cactus survey the damage in the ring as we go to the back!
Interview – THE SANDMAN – The number one contender to the Extreme Heavyweight title wants to make things very clear. He doesn’t give a damn about Vader and he thinks Ron Simmons is a piece of s**t! Sandman warns them both to stay out of his way tonight, as Chastity pops up a beer and takes a swing!
. . . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . . .
MAIN EVENT: THE TRIPLE THREAT v VADER, THE SANDMAN & RON SIMMONS: Simmons and Sandman are giving each other the evil eye as Vader and Bigelow start off the match. It’s the irresistible force meets the immoveable object here as these beat the holy hell out of each other in the opening moments. The tide turns when Bigelow goes for a moon-sault, but gets caught in mid-air by Vader. The International Champion drives Bam Bam into the canvas and now makes the tag out to Ron Simmons.
Simmons comes in and lights Bigelow up with some rights and lefts, then spears him back into his corner. Sean Morely tags himself in and he goes toe to toe with Simmons for a few minutes, and scores a few near falls on the former champion. Simmons rebounds and then bounces off the ropes, but Sandman slaps his shoulder and tags himself in!
Ron Simmons doesn’t like that at all, but Sandman barrels past him and drills Morley with the side Russian leg sweep! Sandman with the cover, but Morely is able to kick out at two. Sean is able to roll back to his corner and now tags in the Extreme World Heavyweight Champion ‘The Franchise’ Shane Douglas! Douglas steps in and locks up with Sandman as this preview of Heatwave ’96 gets under way!
Sandman drills Shane with some rights and lefts and now shoots off the ropes to connecting with a running clothesline. Sandman is up now, but it’s Simmons who slaps him on the shoulder this time! Sandman and Simmons now go face-to-face in the ring – and these two partners may come to blows here!
Shane Douglas is up now and he drills Simmons from behind with a forearm strike, breaking up the fight before it happens. Douglas then measures Simmons for an elbow smash, but he misses! Both men stagger up now and Shane approaches, only to get scooped up and drilled with a spine-buster from the former Extreme World Heavyweight Champions!
Simmons goes for the cover now, but Bam Bam Bigelow is in to break it up! This brings in Vader, who connects with rights and lefts, and then hits the ropes for a big Avalanche that sends Bam Bam sprawling to the floor! Vader turns around, only to have Sean Morely leap up and catch him with a franksteiner! Vader rolls out to the ramp now, as Simmons grabs Morely by the hair and decks him with a short-arm clothesline!
Ron Simmons now picks Shane up above his head, reps him three time and gorilla presses him to the canvas. Simmons now signals for the end, but he gets cracked across the back of the head with the Singapore cane… by his own partner! The Sandman stands over Simmons now and the referee can’t really call for a disqualication since Sandman attacked his own partner! Butch Reed is on the apron now… and he gets cracked with the cane as well!
Shane Douglas sees an opportunity here and he grabs the cane out of Sandman’s hand, but Sandman boots him! Sandman hooks Douglas and he connects with the DDT! Sandman covers the Extreme World Heavyweight Champion and gets the 1-2-3! Sandman pins Douglas ahead of the PPV! The challenger celebrates on the floor, while both Douglas and a groggy Simmons stew in the ring!

EXTREME WARFARE LIVE ON MTV!!!! 6/21/1996 YOUR HOST: JOEY STYLES
Joey Styles welcomes us to Extreme Warfare and runs down tonight’s card, which will feature Extreme World Tag Team Champions Raven and Stevie Richards against their own minions The Pitbulls.
Dan ‘The Beast’ Severn makes his first appearance since attacking Paul Heyman and he calls Taz out to face him man-to-man. Taz is escorted to the ring by Team Taz members Chris Chetti and 911, and following behind them is Paul Heyman! Heyman is wearing a neckbrace and he speaks first as he says that Severn should thank Taz – because Taz has convinced him not to file charges against The Beast. Paul says he will have the last laugh, because there is no doubt in his mind that Taz will choke out Severn in 9 days time. Severn listens to all of this, and then finally tells Taz that at Heatwave ’96, no amount of Heyman’s talking will be able to stop The Beast. The end of this mystique surrounding Taz ends on June 30. Severan and Taz go nose-to-nose, but Heyman pulls Taz away to prevent them from coming to blows.
. . . . . . . .
International Heavyweight Champion Vader defeats Miguel Perez Jr. in a hard-fought match as he connects with a Vader Bomb off the second rope. Perez is full of fire as he takes the fight to Vader in the early going, but the champion rallies back with a brutal short-arm clothesline. Vader then shoots Perez off the ropes and connects with a belly-to-belly suplex. The big man then goes up to the second rope and connects with the Vader Bomb to score the win. He sends a message to Bam Bam Bigelow after the match by shouting “Who’s the man?”
The Full Blooded Italians are none to happy about Cactus Jack’s return last week. Little Guido says he will teach Cactus that he should have never come back last week, when he whacks him at Heatwave ’96. Little Guido says he’s not afraid of Cactus – he’s seen a lot bigger palookas in his time. He then challenges Mikey and Cactus to find a partner to face all three FBI members at the PPV!
. . . . . . .
Dory Funk Jr. is standing by with Extreme World Heavyweight Champion ‘The Franchise’ Shane Douglas and Francine. Funk says next week he has a very special assignment for Douglas – and he better not pull any funny business. Right here next week, it will be a rematch as The Sandman faces Ron Simmons right here on Extreme Warfare. The referee will be none other than Shane Douglas! Douglas smiles, slaps Funk on the shoulder and says he won’t let the commish down! Douglas and Francine are all smiles as they walk off, while Funk looks like he might live to regret this stipulation.
The Sandman (w/ Chastity) takes on the impressive rookie Angry Amish Roadkill. Roadkill has the size advantage and he takes the figtht to The Sandman early. He manages to scoop Sandman up and drive him into the canvas with a running power-slam. Roadkill goes for he cover, but Sandman kicks out. The big man then hits the ropes for a big splash, but Sandman moves! Sandman is up and he lights Roadkill up with some rights and lefts, and then connects with a Russian Leg Sweep. Sandman then finishes Roadkill off with the side Russian leg sweep and scores the pin!
Ron Simmons charges down the ramp as the cover is being made. However, Chastity sees him coming and tosses the cane into the ring to Sandman after the bell is rung. Simmons is charging into the ring, but gets caned across the forehead! Sandman and Chastity laugh on the ramp as Simmons angrily gets back to his feet and drills poor Roadkill with a spine-buster and swears revenge against Sandman.
. . . . . . . .
Judge Jeff Jones comes out to the ramp before the next match and says the wrestlers of Xtreme Pro Wrestling should enjoy themselves now, because soon justice will be dispensed. Jones promises to sentence each and every offender here in XPW to the maximum punishment – and nothing will ever be the same again! “Court is adjourned,” Jones says as he soaks in the boos from the crowds.
‘Prime Time’ Brian Lee defeats Hack Myers in under three minutes by drilling the Extreme Shah with the Prime Time Slam. Lee totally dominates the Shah and drills him early on with a brutal boot to the face. Prime Time then connects with a diving leg drop and hits his finishing move to score the win. Lee gets on the microphone after the match and promises that 911 will meet the same fate as Hack Myers at Heatwave ’96.
Stevie Richards is backstage with The Blue Meanie, Nova and the #1 contenders to the tag team titles The Pitbulls! Stevie is barking orders that Pitbull #2 is to immediately lay down when the bell is rung later and allow Raven to pin him. The Pitbulls don’t like this at all and corner Richards menacingly when he starts shouting at them. Richards slinks away nervously as The Pitbulls begin eying Meanie and Nova.
. . . . . . .
This next match is a Three Way Dance that pits Pulsar against both former World Light Heavyweight Champion Sabu and the rookie sensation Blitzkrieg. This is a wild match that sees all three men score near falls. The current champion Jushin Thunder Lyger comes out to watch the next match and he nods at several of the impressive spots. The first elimination sees Sabu pinning Blitzkrieg with a super-plex through a table! Sabu and Pulsar then go balls to the wall for the next seven minutes, with Sabu almost winning after a frankensteiner off the top rope. The finish sees Sabu vault himself at Pulsar, who catches him in midair and drills him with a back-breaker. Pulsar than pulls Sabu into a cradle pile-driver to score the win.
World Junior Heavyweight Champion Jushin Lyger claps for Pulsar after the match ended. Pulsar motions that he will be taking the belt, and Lyger nods “no”. Pulsar goes to leave, but Lyger kicks him in the back! Lyger then grabs Pulsar’s mask and tries to rip it off – but Sabu charges from behind, leaps into the air as he grabs Lyger’s head and drives him throat first across the top rope! Pulsar and Sabu then both land missile dropkicks on Lyger, who then rolls out to the floor and takes off.
. . . . . . .
The Public Enemy take on Simon Diamond and Johnny Swinger in our next match. Swinger and Diamond are a capable team, but they get trounced here by the fired up Flyboy Rocco rock and Johnny Grunge. The closing moments see Grunge and Rock connect with the Drive By on Simon Diamond to score the win. The Public Enemy continue after the match and power-bomb Johnny Swinger through a table.
Bam Bam Bigelow talks about his match with International Heavyweight Champion Vader at Heatwave ’96. The Beast from the East says Vader is the one with something to prove – since Bigelow beat him at the last PPV. Bigelow says Vader is mean, he’s nasty and he’s tough as hell, but Bam Bam is just that little bit tougher.
. . . . . . . .
The main event this week pitted Extreme World Tag Team Champions Raven and Stevie Richards against The Pitbulls. The bell rings and Richards commands that Pitbull #2 to lay down for Raven to pin him. Pitbull #2 looks at his partner – and he doesn’t move an inch! Richards tries to talk sense into the Pitbulls, but it’s no use! Raven finally shoves Richards to the mat and says if the Pitbulls want this match, they can have it! Pitbull #2 nods and answers that all they want is their fair shot. Richards doesn’t like, but Raven motions for the match to begin and goes to his corner.
Stevie Richards gets bounced around by both Pitbulls for most of the match, but to his credit he is able to kick out of several pin attempts. Raven finally tags in and he connects with a running clothesline on Pitbull #1. Raven then goes for a big knee lift and he makes the cover, but #1 is able to kick out. Raven then whips Pitbull, but he collides with the referee! Raven then connects with the DDT on Pitbull #2 and goes for the cover as Stevie Richards ties to wake up the referee.
The crowd are on their feet now because The Eliminators storm down to the ring. Richards doesn’t see it coming as Saturn and Kronus storm the ring and deck Pitbull #2. Raven watches as they attack The Pitbulls, but he is trapped as Saturn and Kronus turn back around. They then attack Raven and drill him with the Total Elimination! Richards is furiously trying to wake the referee to call for a DQ, and it appears to be working as Pee Wee More stirs. However, Saturn and Kronus drag Richards out to the floor and hit the Total Elimination on him as well.
Pitbull #2 has draped his arm over Raven now as Pee Wee Moore now counts the 1-2-3! We have new champions – thanks to The Eliminators! Saturn and Kronus look on with smiles on their faces as Raven slowly stirs in the ring and stares at them with fury! Raven and Richards have been beaten at their own game.
ITS NOW TIME FOR THE ‘PULP FICTION’ PROMOS:
Pulp Fiction Soundtrack - Opening Theme (Dick Dale and His Del Tones - Miserlou)

EXTREME WARFARE LIVE ON MTV!!!! 6/28/1996 YOUR HOST: JOEY STYLES
Joey Styles welcomes us to Extreme Warfare and runs down tonight’s card, which will feature Ron Simmons taking on The Sandman, with Shane Douglas as the special referee. Joey is then interrupted by this asshole:
The man introduces himself as the new co-host of Extreme Warfare – Vic Venom! Venom says he is the premiere broadcast journalist in the sport today – not some 70-year-old bleach-blonde dope who works in Ohio! Venom says he tells it like it is, and the fans may not like it! Joey may not like it! But Vic Venom speaks the truth and soon fans all over the world will realize how uninformed they’ve been! Styles grumbles and then goes back to the booth with a gloating Vic Venom as our first match gets ready.
The Full Blooded Italians (Little Guido & Big Vito) w/ ‘The Big Don’ Tommy Rich defeat Kid Kash and Miguel Perez jr. in a fast-paced contest. Kash has been impressive in weeks past, but he has trouble here coping with the FBI’s patented cheating. The closing moments see Vito drilling Perez with a running boot as Little Guido connects with the Sicilian Slice on Kash to score the double pin. Little Guido gets on the microphone after the match and tells Cactus Jack and Mikey Whipwreck to bring whoever they want to the PPV – they’re still getting whacked!
. . . . . . . .
Scot Hudson is standing by backstage with Ron Simmons and Butch Reed. Simmons complains again about not getting the Heatwave ’96 rematch with Extreme World Heavyweight Champion. He warns Shane Douglas not to screw him tonight, or he and Butch will go through the entire Triple Threat themselves. As far as Sandman goes, he’s getting his ass whooped and there’s no two ways around that!
World Light Heavyweight Champion Jushin Thunder Lyger and Shiryu are defeated by Pulsar and Sabu in an incredibly fast-paced tag team match. Shiryu and Sabu get the fans going with various splashes, and then Sabu frankensteiners Shiryu off the apron to the floor. Lyger attacked Pulsar from behind and drilled him with a back-breaker. The champion then went to finish off Pulsar with the Lyger Bomb, but Pulsar reversed in mid-air into a sunset flip and scored the three count! Lyger looked stunned and immediately grabbed for Pulsar’s match at the bell, but he was fought off and slid out to the floor. The champion goes into Heatwave ’96 having lost some momentum!
. . . . . .
VTR: We go to the bowels of the building where Stevie Richards is complaining to Blue Meanie and Nova about The Pitbulls stealing the titles, and now him and Raven having to face both teams in a Three Way Dance at the PPV. The camera pans over to Raven, who says now things are perfectly clear. He knows what must be done at Heatwave ’96 to restore the Nest. Quote the Raven… nevermore!
Bam Bam Bigelow (w/ Francine & Sean Morely) defeats Axl Rotten (w/ Balls Mahoney) in a wild match that goes all around the arena. Rotten even grabs a steel chair from his partner and bashes it over Bigelow’s hand, but the Beast from the East kicks out of a pin attempt. Axl then goes to suplex Bigelow, but Bam Bam reverses and suplexes Rotten on the chair. Bam Bam then connects with a slingshot suplex and covers to score the big win.
. . . . . . .
Scott Hudson is standing by Dan ‘The Beast’ Severn and his trainer. The trainer tells Hudson that Severn should not even have to be here tonight, because he should be training for his next fight in the UFC. The trainer boasts that Severn will embarrass “the pro wrestler” and then go back to competing in the real extreme sport MMA. Severn simply tells Scott Hudson that come Sunday, there will be nothing for Taz to do but tap out.
New Jack (w/ Mustafa) brawls with Johnny Grunge (w/ Flyboy Rocco Rock) to a no contest because the match never really gets started. Rocco and Johnny throw tables into the ring and are then jumped by the Gangstas. All four men fight around the ring. New Jack sets up a chair in the ring and then hurls Johnny Grunge into it. At the same time, Flyboy Rocco Rock slams Mustafa throw a table. New Jack and Flyboy Rocco then begin brawling, and soon the others are back in it as well, until security breaks them all up. There will be no security to break things up during the Double Tables match at the PPV!
. . . . .
The Eliminators defeat Simon Diamond and Johnny Swinger when Saturn and Kronus connect with the Total Elimination on Simon Diamond to score the pin. Extreme World Tag Team Champions The Pitbulls come out onto the ramp to watch the match, and they look as intimidating as ever. Saturn and Kronus totally destroy Diamond and Swinger in this match, and then motion that they will take the titles on Sunday.
Scott Hudson interviews Extreme World Heavyweight Champion ‘The Franchise’ Shane Douglas and Francine before the main event. Douglas promises that he will be putting his personal feelings aside, and he will be an impartial referee. Partly because that’s his duty, and partly because he hopes Sandman and Ron Simmons kill each other. Douglas regardless of whatever happens tonight, his title is going nowhere on Sunday at Heatwave ’96.
. . . . . .
The main event is up next as Shane Douglas referees a singles match between The Sandman and Ron Simmons. Sandman of course has Chastity and his corner, while Simmons is seconded by Butch Reed. Douglas also has his manager Francine at ringside as well. Simmons and Sandman beat the heck out of each as Douglas largely stands back and lets the action happen. The Franchise does seem even-handed as he counts falls, but neither man is able to keep the other down for the count. The closing moments see Simmons and Sandman drill each other with a clothesline.
Shane Douglas then motions to Francine, who has snuck up behind Chastity. Francine drills Chastity with a right hand, steals the Singapore cane and tosses it to Shane. Douglas then winds up to drill Simmons, only for Butch Reed to grab the can. Butch snaches it away and drills Shane across the forehead and down goes the special referee! Reed now enters the ring and goes to bash Sandman, only for him to move and Butch to accidentally drill Simmons!
Reed looks horrified as Sandman kicks him in the gut and pile-drives him! Sandman then hits the DDT on Simmons and pulls Douglas over. Sandman covers and lifts Shane’s hand three times to count the 1-2-3! Sandman wins, by hook or by crook! Sandman now runs off Francine and poses with Chastity as the camera pans to the Extreme World Heavyweight Champion Shane Douglas, then Butch Reed and finally Ron Simmons down on the canvas as Vic Venom and Joey Styles put over the PPV!
. . . . . . ITS NOW TIME FOR THE ‘PULP FICTION’ PROMOS:
Instead of the mini-promos this week, we go right to the dressing room of the ‘Human Suplex Machine’ Taz!!!!!!
IT’S TAZ!!!!!
“See, I was right the whole time. The night Dan Severn showed his face here in XPW for the first time, I told the world that he thought he was better than pro wrestling. He denied it, ran his damn mouth, and tried to be tough. But we heard that prick he calls a train earlier. Dan Severn is looking past me to his next UFC fight.
I hope that’s exactly what you’re doing, Dan. Underestimate me like everyone has done throughout my career. See, I’m the guy who started out as Sabu’s tag team partner, doing the dirty work against The Undertaker. Then I was the guy who had to back up a little bitch named Shawn Michaels when he wrote checks his scrawny ass could never cash. And then here in Xtreme Pro Wrestling, I’ve been the guy who the champions were too afraid to face.
Lots of people have underestimated me, Dan Severn – and look what happened them. Dusty Rhodes underestimated me – and I choked his ass out! Sycho Sid underestimated me – and I choked his as out! Terry Funk underestimated me – and I choked his ass out! And then Cactus Jack underestimated me. Remember what happened to him? I choked his ass out too!
So now it’s you and me, Dan. Six months in the making. The Human Suplex Machine against the baddest man in the UFC. I got enough respect for you not to pretend you aren’t a damn good fighter. On Sunday, I’m going beat that same respect into you – and you will no choice but to admit EYE am the real baddest man on the planet.
I’m Taz – the Human Suplex Machine! BEAT ME IF YOU CAN!!!! SURVIVE… if I let you.” © XTREME PRO WRESTLING 1996

Xtreme Pro Wrestling presents HEATWAVE ‘96 Live on Pay-Per-View 6/30/1996 Miami, Florida Knight Center Your Hosts: Joey Styles & Vic Venom
Joey Styles and Vic Venom are standing in the middle of the ring at the Knight Center here in Miami, Florida to welcome us to the biggest party of the summer – Heatwave ’96! Styles runs down the card and then calls out his guests at this time – former Extreme World Tag Team Champions Raven and Stevie Richards! Raven and Richards make their way down to the ring to ‘Come Out and Play’ by The Offspring. Vic Venom firstly says that he believes that Raven is the superstar of the year so far – and that Stevie is right behind him! Richards and Venom shake hands as Raven looks on with a blank stare
Joey asks them just how they plan to overcome BOTH the Pitbulls and The Eliminators to take back the title belts! Richards rants and raves about how The Pitbulls better get in line and hand over the belts tonight – or they just might get kicked out of the Nest! Raven stands in the corner for most of the interview, but finally emerges and shoves Richards aside! Raven tells Joey that good things come to those who wait, and the Pitbulls have waited long enough. Quote the Raven, nevermore!
1) 15 MTL: The Full Blooded Italians vs. Cactus Jack, Mikey Whipwreck & Referee: Pee Wee Moore
Little Guido, Big Vito and ‘The Big Don’ Tommy Rich are out to kick off the show and they waste no idea in ticking off the fans in attendance. Cactus Jack and Mikey Whipwreck are out next – and they make their way to the ring alone. Joey Styles speculates that Cactus Jack might not have been able to find a partner after all. Cactus climbs up on the apron and then points to the dressing room – and ‘The Hulka Blues’ begins playing! It’s Sabu! Sabu is the mystery partner.
Sabu charges the ring and dives right in, with Cactus and Mikey right behind him. This is a straight up brawl that sees all six men fighting all over the ringside area from bell to bell. Cactus slugs it out with Big Vito on the ramp, while Mikey Whipwreck frankensteiners Little Guido out to the floor. Guido comes back with kick to the stomach and then hurls Mikey into the steel guard rail. Little Guido then charges with a spinning heel kick that sends both Mikey and himself over the guardrail and tumbling into the fans in the front row.
Sabu is slaughtering The Big Don in the ring as he claws at Tommy’s forehead. Rich starts gushing blood early on, and this becomes a classic, bloody Tommy Rich match as Sabu brutalizes him. Rich tries to fight back, but Sabu wraps him over the back with a steel chair. Rich flails to the canvas as Sabu hits the ropes, leaps off and connects with the chair-assisted Arabian Facebuster! Sabu covers the lifeless Tommy Rich and gets the 1-2-3! A big win here for Cactus Jack, Sabu and Mikey Whipwreck over the FBI!
. . . . . . .
Malia Hosaka is stationed outside the dressing room of Dan ‘The Beast’ Severn. She taps on the door, and out comes Severn’s trainer. He says The Beast has no time to make comments right now – and he certainly isn’t going to make any time! The trainer admonishes Malia for interrupting their preparation and then says that once Severn wins tonight, it’s back to the UFC where the fighters are given proper respect!
2) 15 MTL: ‘Prime Time’ Brian Lee vs. 911 Referee: Jimmy Jett
This one has been building for quite some time, and nobody could possibly confuse this with an actual wrestling match. Lee and 911 brawl all over the ring and Lee has to do most of the work. Lee finally gets the grip for the Prime Time Slam, but 911 puts on the beaks. Lee can’t lift him! 911 now reaches across and grips Lee as well! 911 boots Lee in the gut and now Brian releases his grip. 911 adjust, lifts Lee into the air and drills him with a brutal choke-slam.
911 puts one foot on Brian Lee’s chest and he gets 1-2-3! Paul Heyman is in after the match to gloat as 911 grabs the fallen Lee, lifts him up and connects with a second brutal choke-slam! 911 has scored the definitive win over ‘Prime Time’ Brian Lee!
. . . . . . .
3) 20 MTL: World Light Heavyweight Champion Jushin Lyger vs. Pulsar Referee: Pee Wee Moore
The cutting-edge action continues here as Lyger defends against the very aggressive #1 contender. The champion has been wrestling a more aggressive style as well of late, and these two waist no time and getting this match going. Lyger grabs a head-lock, but Pulsar shoots him off the ropes. Lyger comes flying back with a leaping head-scissors and then drills Pulsar with a kick to the chest as he gets back to his feet. Lyger makes the cover, but Pulsar is able to kick out just after two.
Pulsar rallies back and scores a near-fall with a Northern Lights suplex, and then catches Lyger with a tornado DDT for another two count. Pulsar climbs up to the second rope, but Lyger is up and forearms Pulsar in the stomach. Lyger climbs up now and he leaps into the air to frankensteiner Pulsar back into the center of the ring. Lyger with another cover here, but once again the challenger is able to get his shoulders off the mat just in time!
The champion now picks Pular up for a running Lyger bomb, but as he backs up and lefts Pulsar, the challenger grabs the top rope. Pulsar pulls himself up and now he is standing backwards on the top rope. Lyger turns around, only for Pulsar to leap of with a moon-sault! The challenger stays on top for the cover to get the 1-2-no! Lyger is the one kicking out this time around!
Both men are slow to their feet and Lyger hits the ropes for a cross-body splash. Pulsar catches him, but Lyger reaches up and begins trying to pull the mask off! Pulsar drives Lyger down into a back-breaker, and that stops the champion! Pulsar adjusts his mask and now drills Lyger with a side kick to the forehead! Lyger is dazed as he stumbles up now – to get a boot to the gut! Pulsar pulls him, lifts him up and drills him with the leaping tombstone pile-driver! Pulsar with the cover and he hooks both legs for the 1-2-3!
There is a new World Light Heavyweight Champion – and it is the masked enigma known as Pulsar. The new champion is handed the belt now and he stands in the center of the ring and unmasks himself! Pulsar said he would unmask once he had the gold – and he reveals himself to be…
JERRY LYNN!!!!!!
Joey Style mentions that this might be the last we see of Jushin Lyger in XPW, but he certainly went out with a hell of fight!
. . . . . . . .
Extreme World Heavyweight Champion ‘The Franchise’ Shane Douglas, his valet Francine and Sean Morely are joined backstage by Malia Hosaka. Douglas tells Malia that tonight, he will dispose of the putrid drunk Sandman and then it will be on to bigger and better challengers. Shane says this match is in the bag because Ron Simmons might just get to The Sandman and finish him off so Shane doesn’t even have to bother wrestling! Douglas says he is always the man with the plan – and tonight, his plan is sure fire! As we go back to the arena, Vic Venom says he is banking on Shane coming out on top – unless the Singapore cane comes into play!
4) 20 MTL: Double Tables Match: The Public Enemy vs. The Gangstas Referee: Jimmy Jett
The Gangstas attack The Public Enemy from behind as they were entering to ‘Here Comes the Hotstepper’! New Jack has his basket full of weapons and he pulls out a trash can lid and begins bashing Johnny Grunge with it. Flyboy Rocco is holding his own as he busts a crutch over the back of Mustafa and then suplexes him into the ring. The camera pans around to show tables stacked up all over the ringside area.
New Jack brings a table into the ring and attempts to slam Johnny Grunge through, but Grunge puts on the brakes and suplexes his opponent away from the table. Mustafa is back up now and he throws another table into the ring, but Flyboy Rocco picks it up and drives into Mustafa’s back as he reenters the ring! The Public Enemy now double-team New Jack and it looks like they are ready to put him through a table… when three men run through the crowd, hop the railing and charge the ring!
These three men ambush The Public Enemy! The larger African-American man sets up a table as the two others jump Rock and Grunge with crowbars. These men then pick Flyboy Rocco up and press slam through one of the tables in the ring! They set up another in the corner and hurl Grunge through it head-first! The Gangstas are up now and they can’t figure out what is going. New Jack steps up to these three, only to get bashed across the face with one of the crowbars. Mustafa tries to help, but he gets beaten down as well!
The African-American man hoists New Jack high into the air as the others set up another table. Power-bomb through a table on New Jack! Mustafa is still trying to fight, but the smallest man hits a nut shot on him! The biggest man now scoops Mustafa up and power-slams him right through a table! This trio have put both The Gangstas and The Public Enemy through tables! The smallest man now demands and microphone from Bob Artese and shouts, “Ya winners – DeVito, Angel and Grimes – DA BALDIES!!!!!!” Da Baldies gloat and then head off to the dressing room as the camera surveys the damage in the ring.
. . . . . . . . . .
Judge Jeff Jones hijacks the microphone from Malia Hosaka and announces that justice will begin being served in XPW in less than seven days time! Jones promises that justice will be brutal and swift… at the hands of a truly awesome executioner! Vic Venom tells Joey Styles that he has a scoop on who Judge Jeff Jones is bringing to XPW – and hints that it will be one of the biggest wrestling stories of the year if it’s true! Joey tries to get more concrete details, but Vic Venom says his source wants to remain confidential for now!
5. 15 MTL: Balls Mahoney & Axl Rotten vs. The Blue Meanie & Nova Referee: Pee Wee Moore
Nova again impresses in this match as he shows his tremendous aerial offense. The Blue Meanie is less impressive as he is bashed around the ring by both Balls and Axl at various points in this match. The closing moments sees Nova miss a shooting star press and roll out to the floor. Balls and Axl then double-team Blue Meanie and put him down for the count with a spike pile-driver to score the pin.
. . . . . . .
Paul Heyman joins Malia Hosaka outside the dressing room of Taz and says that the time for talking is almost done. Heyman says the only thing that he wants to leave fans with tonight is that regardless of who wins and who loses tonight, Taz lives and breaths Xtreme Pro Wrestling. Paul heard Severn’s trainer earlier and as far as he’s concerned – the guy can kiss his ass! Taz doesn’t like the fans and they may not like him – but Taz is XPW through and through. And tonight, Heyman is going to take great pleasure in watching Dan Severn tap out like a little bitch!
6) 15 MTL: Ron Simmons vs. Miguel Perez Jr. Referee: Jimmy Jett
The angry Ron Simmons is accompanied by Butch Reed here and he faces a fairly strong challenger from the fiery Puerto Rican Miguel Perez Jr. Perez is a larger man, but he moves like a light heavyweight and surprises Simmons with a brutal super kick to the chin. Perez goes to finish Simmons with an enziguri, but Ron ducks it. Simmons hits the ropes and drills Perez with a spear and then finishes him off with a spine-buster. Jimmy Jett goes to raise Ron Simmons’ hand after the match – but Ron angrily pulls his arm away and storms off with Butch Reed.
. . . . . . . .
The Sandman and his valet Chastity are with Malia Hosaka to discuss the upcoming Extreme World Heavyweight Title match. Sandman isn’t one for talking – he’s one for fighting. Tonight, he’s gonna give Shane Douglas the ass-kicking that his father should have given him a long time ago. Then, he and Chastity are gonna drink a hell of a lot of beer to celebrate the win!
7) 30 MTL: Three Way Dance: Extreme World Tag Team Champions The Pitbulls vs. Raven & Stevie Richards vs. The Eliminators Referee: Pee Wee Moore
Any likelihood of an alliance between The Pitbulls and Raven and Richards appeared to be unlikely, when the champions jumped Richards while The Eliminators were still making their way to the ring! Raven stands back and watches, until Saturn and Kronus jump him from behind. The Eliminators shoot Raven off the ropes and drill him with a double shoulder-block. Saturn then hooks Raven and drills him with pumphandle suplex! The Pitbulls now charge The Eliminator and begin fighting with them. Pitbull #2 shoots Kronus off the ropes, but Kronus comes back with a back handspring elbow the wows the crowd.
Saturn is slugging it out with Pitbull #1 now, until a bloody Steven Richards gets back to his feet and attacks Saturn from behind. Richards now holds Saturn as Pitbull #1 winds up, but Saturn escapes and #1 decks Stevie! Richards flops to the canvas as Raven looks on from the arena floor. Both Pitbulls and Eliminators continue brawling for the next several minutes. Saturn looks like he is setting up for the end and now Raven grabs one of the title belts. Saturn goes to scoop Pitbull #1 up for the Death Valley Driver, but slides in and boots him in the gut. Saturn drops #1 and then gets planted right on the title belt with the Raven Effect DDT!
A bloody Richards scrambles over and covers Saturn now for the 1-2-3! The Eliminators have been.. well, eliminated! Saturn and Kronus have once again been screwed by Raven. Saturn and Kronus recuperate on the floor as The Pitbulls slowly get up. Raven now stands by Richards, who is using Raven’s leg to pull himself up. Raven now looks straight at the Pitbulls… and he pulls Stevie in and drills his own partner with the Raven Effect DDT! Joey Styles: “OH MY GOD?!?!?!?!” The Pitbulls are totally confused as Raven now nods to them and leaves the ring. #2 now covers Stevie Richards for the academic 1-2-3!
The Eliminators don’t like this one bit as they get back into the ring and begin brawling again with The Pitbulls! The two teams fight up the ramp. Raven now slides back into the ring, picks up the bloody Stevie Richards and carries him back to the dressing room, leaving everyone in the arena totally confused as to what they just saw!
. . . . . . .
Ron Simmons is backstage with Malia Hosaka and he rants and raves about being screwed by the powers that be here in XPW. He is interrupted by Cactus Jack and Mikey Whipwreck! Cactus says he thinks he speaks for everyone here in Xtreme Pro Wrestling – when he tells Simmons to grow some balls! Cactus says Simmons used to be hardcore, but now all he is is a crybaby who bitches and moans when he doesn’t get what he wants. Simmons doesn’t like this and he slugs Cactus! Cactus slugs him back and now we have a full-scale fight in the backstage that is only broken up when several officials get involved.
8. 30 MTL: International Heavyweight Champion Vader vs. Bam Bam Bigelow Referee: Jimmy Jett
The Beast from the East is accompanied to the ring by fellow Triple Threat member Sean Morely and valet Francine, but Bam Bam Bigelow sends them away as he is being announced. Vader is out next and these two square off in the center of the ring. Joey Styles recaps that these two faced off at the last XPW PPV event and Bigelow took the win, but this time Vader comes into the bout as the International Heavyweight Champion. Vader and Bigelow rough each other up in the opening moments and neither man is really able to get a foothold.
Vader grabs a head-lock, but Bigelow is able to power him over into a back-suplex. Vader lands right on his head and appears disoriented as he staggers up. Bigelow shows his agility by drop-kick Vader into the corner. Bigelow then drills Vader with a clothesline into the corner and then scoops him up. Bigelow goes to power-slam Vader, but Vader hooks his legs on the top rope. The weight causes Bigelow to tumble, with Vader landing on top of him. Referee Jimmy Jett administers the count, but only gets two. Both men are up and now Vader peppers Bigelow with a series of rights and lefts.
Vader grabs ahold of Bigelow and drives him into the canvas with a sambo suplex. The champion now hits the ropes and he connects with a big splash. Vader hooks the leg now, but again Bigelow is able to kick out of the pin. Vader now measures Bigelow and goes for a big elbow drop, only to miss when Bam Bam slides out of the way. Bigelow pulls himself up and connects with a head-butt on Vader and then grabs ahold and suplexes him into the center of the ring. Bigelow covers, but this time it is Vader who is able to kick out.
Bam Bam Bigelow has the momentum on his side now as he scoops Vader up and drops him face-first across the top turnbuckle. Vader now wobbles away, and he gets hooked, has the hips popped and driven into the canvas with a belly-to-belly suplex. Bigelow is snow signaling for the end as he goes out to the canvas and he connects with the slingshot splash! This move won him the last encounter and he hooks the legs for the 1-2-NO! Vader powers out of the pin attempt.
The Beast from the East is stunned now, but he is right back to business he stomps Vader. Bigelow now climbs up to the top rope and he comes sailing off for a flying headbutt – but Vader moves! Bigelow crashes into the canvas at an alarming speed! The challenger has wiped out here! Both are extremely slow to their feet, but Vader is up first, he hits the ropes and he comes off with a head of steam to connect with a brutal lariat! Vader almost took his head off there and he covers now for the 1-2-3! Vader gets the win!
Vader is handed the International Heavyweight Title and he holds it up triumphantly as Bigelow slowly gets back to his feet. Bigelow and Vader go nose to nose again, and Bam Bam can be heard saying “We’re 1-1, brother! We gotta settle it!” Vader nods his head in agreement and then Bigelow slides out of the ring to let Vader celebrate his huge title defense.
. . . . . . . . . The ring is clearing before our first of two main events, but Joey Styles and Vic Venom both hype the upcoming debut of ‘The Extreme Luchador’ – SUPER CRAZY!
’THE EXTREME LUCHADOR’ SUUUUUUUUUUUPEEEEEEEEEEER CRAAAAAAAAZY!!!!!
9. 45 MTL: Extreme World Heavyweight Champion Shane Douglas (w/ Francine) vs. The Sandman (w/ Chastity) Referee: Pee Wee Moore
Both men make their entrances, and they both look quite intense. Shane Douglas suggested earlier that Ron Simmons might just attack The Sandman before this match, but that clearly hasn’t happened since Simmons has a new enemy in Cactus Jack. Douglas and Sandman circle each other here and Shane disingenuously offers to start things off with a handshake. Sandman is dead-eyed serious as he slaps Shane’s hand away. Douglas complains and then tries to rear back and deck Sandman with a right hand. Sandman blocks it and begins leveling Douglas.
Sandman rakes the eyes, kicks the gut and connects with the side Russian leg sweep. He goes for an early pin, but Douglas kicks out. Shane crawls to the ropes and pulls himself up, but Sandman lands a forearm to the back and then suplexes him to the canvas. Sandman now takes the heel of his boot and rakes it over Shane’s forehead. The champion rolls around wincing on the canvas as Sandman is handed an open beer by Chastity and takes a big swig.
Sandman now grabs Shane’s ponytail and pulls him up, only to pepper him with more right hands. The challenger now snap suplexes Douglas into the center of the ring! Sandman goes up to the second rope and measures Shane for a knee drop, but the champion is able to move out of the way. Shane pulls himself up now and he takes a running punt at Sandman’s head that does some real damage to the challenger!
Shane Douglas now measures Sandman as he slowly gets up and he locks him in the sleeper hold! Douglas is desperately trying to keep this match from degenerating into a brawl, and this hold might just put Sandman out! Sandman looks to be fading, but he gets out of the hold the best he knows how with a mule kick right Shane’s crotch! Douglas doubles over with pain now and so Sandman hooks him and plants him right in the center of the ring with the DDT!
Sandman motions that it’s over and Joey Styles agrees! Sandman goes for the cover and gets the 1-2-Francine has just stomped Sandman’s back! Sandman angrily gets up now and he grabs Francine by the hair and it looks like he is going to deck her – until Chastity charges in and literally spears Francine out of her high heels! Cat fight! Cat fight! The women roll around the ring for a few seconds, and then out to the floor.
This has provided a distraction for Shane Douglas, however, and he grabs one of Francine’s high heels and cradles it. Sandman approaches now and Douglas tries to hit him with the shoe, but Sandman ducks it! Sandman drills Douglas with a clothesline! Sandman is now signaling for the end and now he grabs the Signapore cane. Sandman rallies the crowd he winds up with his trusty cane.
Shane Douglas is slow to his feet and now turns around just as Sandman swings his cane! Douglas ducks! Sandman spins around and goes to strike with the cane again, but Douglas hip-locks him, pops the hips and connects with the belly-to-belly suplex! Douglas got him! Shane covers and hooks the leg now as the referee counts the 1-2-3! Shane Douglas retains the title and celebrates on the floor with Francine. He is soon joined by Bam Bam Bigelow and Sean Morely, who also congratulate him on his big win!
. . . . . . .
VTR: A full video package highlighting the now six-month long feud between Dan ‘The Beast’ Severn and Taz! This will be the first – and likely only – match between the baddest man in the UFC and the baddest man in pro wrestling!
10) No Time Limit: Main Event: Taz (w/ Team Taz) vs. Dan Severn Referee: Jimmy Jett
‘War Machine’ blares in the Knight Center as Team Taz make their way down to the ring en masse. Chris Chetti, 911 and Paul Heyman are all by the side of the Human Suplex Machine as he makes his way to the ring. Taz looks as intense as ever as he waits in the corner. The music changes and here comes UFC champion Dan ‘The Beast’ Severn and his 10-person entourage. Severn is also looking intense and his trainer insists on Chetti, 911 and Heyman clearing the ring. Chetti gives them the finger – how’s that for an answer. Paul Heyman is addressing Taz here, and Joey Styles can’t help but mention that a sizeable amount of the crowd are chanting for Taz.
Taz and Severn now square up and are given instructions in the center of the ring. Severn and Taz trades some harsh words, and finally Severn sticks his pointer against Taz’s chest and starts insulting him. Taz takes it for a few seconds, then swiftly hooks the arm and takes Dan down with the Fujiwara armbar! Severn is moving quickly and he hooks his legs over the bottom rope. Taz breaks the hold here and a furious Dan Severn gets back to his feet. His obnoxious trainer is shouting instructions as the camera pans to Paul Heyman, who is smilingly slyly in the opposite corner.
Severn and Taz face off again and begin grappling, but this time it is Severn who takes the Human Suplex Machine down with an armbar. The Beast switches position and drives his knee into Taz’s back as he pulls up the head like in a camel clutch. Taz has trouble getting out of the hold but is constantly moving. Severn releases the hold, but he is right there to drill Taz with a sick knee lift as the Human Suplex Machine gets to his knees. Severn now grabs the waist, lifts Taz up and release suplexes him over to the canvas.
Taz looks to be in trouble here as Dan Severn looks over him. Taz gets off the ropes, but drops him to the canvas by clipping his right leg and then applying a heel hook. Taz looks to be flustered here, as Severn looks the hold in. Taz uses his other leg and he lands a kick to Dan’s midsection that breaks the hold. Severn swiftly gets back to his feet, but this time he gets caught with a upper cut that stings him. Taz now grabs him, pops the hips and connects with the belly-to-belly Taz Plex! Taz just drilled Severn with one of his signature moves here, but he is not going for the pin. Remember, Taz promised to make Dan Severn tap out here tonight!
Severn is slow to his feet now, and now Taz knees him the gut and connects with a pump-handle Taz Plex! Taz now grabs a headlock and he looks to be putting tremendous pressure on Severn here. The Beast is finally able to grip his bottom leg on the ropes to break the hold. Another stalemate as Taz makes his way back to his feet, only to get by Severn and whipped to the canvas with the butterfly suplex! Severn won’t let go as he pulls Taz up and snaps him right back down a belly-to-belly suplex!
The Beast now goes for the cover and he gets the 1-2-NO! Taz is out… and out with a vengeance. Severn is now talking strategy with his trainer as Taz slowly gets back to his feet. Some members of the crowd are chanting ‘Let’s Go Taz’… a far cry from just two months ago! Severn now springs back into action, but he should not have given Taz a break! Taz blocks a grapple and takes Severn to the mat with the T-Bone Taz Plex! Severn’s head just bounced off the damn canvas!
Severn’s trainer is going nuts and he now charges over and begins shouting at both Paul Heyman and the referee. Heyman smiles and looks at 911, who grabs the trainer by the throat, lifts him high into the air and choke-slams him right through the ringside table! Severn’s entourage are furious, but none of them dare to confront 911! In the ring Taz is signaling for the Taz Mission! Could this be it! He perches and waits to apply the hold on Severn, but The Beast dodges and drives a knee into Taz’s back!
Dan Severn now locks in the dragon sleeper! Severn has Taz on his knees now, but he cannot quite get the legs around to grip the stomach. Taz is fighting it! He is trying to get to his feet somehow, but Severn has that vice grip on and it looks like it will only be a matter of time before Taz either taps out or submits! Severn is still try to apply the body scissors, so he can get Taz vertical, but he steps too far and Taz lands a painful elbow to the inner thigh! Taz gets back to his feet and the grip is loosened enough for him to slide to the side, lift Severn up and drill him with a side Taz Plex!
Severn is severely hurt here and he tries to roll around he gets to knees, but Taz is there! He locks in the Taz Mission! Taz has got the Taz Mission on Dan ‘The Beast’ Severn! The crowd is going insane as Severn flails around and tries with all his might to reach the ropes. Severn juts out both arms and misses the ropes as Taz cinches the hold in tighter and tighter and tighter and tighter! Dan Severn makes what appears to be one final push to get to the ropes, but instead Taz falls backwards and now he sinks in the body scissors!
Taz has the Taz Mission locked in here and there is literally nowhere for Dan The Beast Severn to go! Referee Jimmy Jett is asking for a submission, but to his credit Severn refuses! Severn will not quit here as Taz locks in the Taz Mission tighter and tighter still! Severn has his arm up, but it’s fading! The light is going out here, and Severn still will not quit. Severn’s arm finally drops limply to the canvas and several seconds later – referee Jimmy Jett CALLS FOR THE BELL!!! IT’S OVER!!!!! IT’S OVER!!!!! TAZ HAS JUST CHOKED OUT DAN ‘THE BEAST’ SEVERN!!!!!
Team Taz hit the ring as the winner is announced, while Severn is tended to by his team (minus his trainer). Paul Heyman and Chris Chetti raise the triumphant Taz’s hand! Taz and his team celebrate and the leave the ring, as Severn is helped back to his feet. Dan motions for a microphone and once he gets one, and says: “HEY!!! TAZ!!!! I got something to say to you. After all the crap you pulled, and all the crapped I pulled, I gotta tell you – YOU ARE ONE TOUGH SON OF A BITCH!”
Taz uncharacteristically nods in respect to Severn and then celebrates on the ramp as our PPV goes off the air!
