MORE BOUTS TO COME
BREAK
Match One:
Tony Atlas b. The Nightmare
After the win, Atlas is attacked from behind by Ron Fuller. With the help of Roy Lee Welch, Fuller drags Atlas to the parking lot of Boutwell Auditorium. He ties Atlas to a pick-up truck. He grabs a bot from the truck bed. Fuller looks ready to slam Atlas’s shoulder with the bat when the show goes to commercial.
BREAK
Platt says that security broke up the bedlam in the parking lot but not before Tony’s shoulder got really hurt.
Match Two:
SHOWCASE TV TITLE
Eddie Gilbert © b. Nick DeCarlo
Rip Rogers accompanies Gilbert to the ring, fueling speculation that The Hustler may have joined forces with Hot Stuff. A piledriver finishes off the game DeCarlo. Rogers hands the belt to the champ. Eddie rips the strap out of Rogers’s hands. He tells Scott McGhee that he gets one shot at getting this belt back. It will be at the Houston County Farm Center in Dothan on February 10. Eddie warms McGhee to take advantage because “one rematch is all you get”.
BREAK
Match Three:
Alexis Smirnoff/Yuri Gordienko w/Tojo Yamamoto b. Joel Deaton/Davey Rich
After the win, Yamamoto and his team go to the desk to talk to Platt. The conversation doesn’t get far before Charlie says he has a video to show the three wrestlers. Bobby Jaggers is standing outside a local VFW where a flag is flying high. Jaggers proposes a match for St. Valentine’s Showdown: A COWARD WAVES THE FLAG MATCH. Tojo may not know much but he is betting he knows how to wave a flag for his boys. He and Steve Doll also have an idea of someone who would gladly be in their corner. Smirnoff, Gordienko, and Yamamoto say no one is more of a coward than any American and this match will not require much effort to steal that American money.
BREAK
Match Four:
Les Thornton b. Ted Allan
Ron Starr slides under the bottom rope right after the bell rings. He gets behind Thornton and drops him with an over the shoulder neckbreaker. He grabs the house mike and says that two can play the pearl harbor game. Getting in Les’s face, the Rotten One asks how he likes the sneak attack this week.
BREAK
Match Five:
Chris Colt w/Izzy Slapowitz and Checkmate fight to a DDQ.
Thornton manages to get a TV cord wrapped around the neck of Colt. He cinches up and will not obey the commands of Tommy Weathers to let up. The locker rooms empty to try to help. Mike Davis and Doug Vines get into a slobberknocker, as well.
Rosanne Cash says for everybody to tune in next week. The action only gets better.
