Bill Mercer opens the show.
Mercer, “‘International Championship Wrestling’ is the hottest thing in the sports world, and tonight won’t cool it down. Two weeks ago, we saw a masked man named Tiger King attack WWI Jr. Heavyweight Champion Tiger Mask. We have discovered more information about this man. He claims to be the ‘real’ Tiger Mask, but better, hence the name Tiger King. Apparently he has attacked Tiger Mask several times in Japan. Tiger King will be in action later in the show. We will also see a match between the Texas Champion, Chris Adams, and the American Heavyweight Champion, Gino Hernandez. The winner will face International Champion, Riki Choshu, at ‘Voyage’. Gary Hart, who was burned by Skandor Akbar last week, will be here. What a night of action. Let’s go to the ring for Tiger King.”
Match #1
Tiger King vs. Bob Marcus
Tiger King claims to be the true “Tiger Mask”. No one really knows about his claim, but he looks impressive. Tiger King takes to the air, he is quick, and agile, just like Tiger Mask. Marcus puts up a fight, but Tiger King is too much. He wins with a flying body press.
Winner-Tiger King
Match #2
Rick Martel vs. Mike Reed
“The Pride of Quebec” is in action. Martel is very talented, and the fans love him. He moves quickly, and is very confident. Reed gives it a go, but Martel is too much. He wins with the Quebec crab.
Winner-Rick Martel
Match #3
The Missing Link w/General Skandor Akbar vs. Black Gordman
The General seems to have recovered from the RED mist attack by Kabuki. He sends the wild Link to the ring. He attacks Gordman at the bell. The Mexican legend fights back, but the Link won’t take a step back. The match is a brawl, and the Link wins with a series of hreadbutts.
Winner-The Missing Link
Match #4
The Midnight Rockers vs. The Alaskans
The Midnight Rockers have taken the wrestling world by storm. Michaels starts against Rick Renslow. Shawn flies around the ring. He gets a two count, but a Renslow kicks out. He tags in Veasey. Jannetty tags in, and goes to work. The Alaskans put up a good fight, but the Rockers are too much. They use the Rocker dropper for the win.
Winners-The Midnight Rockers
Marc Lowrance is with Chris Adams.
Lowrance, “With me is, the Texas Champion, Chris Adams. Chris, you meet, Gino Hernandez, the American Heavyweight Champion. The winner takes on Riki Choshu for the International Championship. Chris, you have a tough one tonight, but with a big reward.”
Adams, “That’s right Marc. Gino Hernandez is a great wrestler, but he doesn’t follow the rules, and Gary Hart sticks his nose into things. It seems to work for them, but I don’t like it. Now, the International Title is very prestigious, and Choshu is a great wrestler, but I think I can beat him. It starts with Gino tonight, and then Choshu in Tokyo.”
Lowrance, “Chris Adams Would make a great International Champion.”
Match #5
Jumbo Tsuruta vs. Al Madril
Tsuruta is a powerful young wrestler from Japan. He has made the transition from Sumo to the catch as catch can style. Madril will be a good test for him. The bell rings and we are underway. Madril is a wily veteran, and he stays away from Tsuruta’s power. That works for a time, but Jumbo’s power takes over. He uses the power bomb for the win.
Winner-Jumbo Tsuruta
Marc Lowrance is with Gino Hernandez, and Gary Hart. Hart has bandages on his face.
Lowrance, “With me are Gary Hart, and Gino Hernandez. First question, Mr. Hart, have you recovered from Skandor Akbar’s burning?”
Hart, “Skandor Ak-a-bar, you look right at the TV screen. I’m talking to you. You think this payback for Kabuki, and the RED mist, well it’s not even close I’ll get my revenge, you can count on that. Now tonight, Christopher Adams is one of the finest athletes in pro wrestling, no one can deny that, and he’s a great Texas Champion, but Gino is the American Champion, and we will be the International Champion. You can take that to the bank.”
Hernandez, “I am your Champion, and I will be your Champion.”
Match #6
Non-Title Match
The Midnight Express (American Tag Team Champions) vs. Brian Adias and Johnny Mantell
The Champions take on the popular duo of Adias and Mantell. Adias and Condry open the contest. Both men are very talented and they show it. Condry gets a two count, and Adias returns the favor. Beautiful Eaton tags in. He goes to work, and Mantell tags in. He makes a brief comeback, but the Champions are too much. They use the rocket launcher for the win.
Winners-The Midnight Express
Match #7
Unification Match
Chris Adams (Texas Champion) vs. Gino Hernandez (American Heavyweight Champion) w/Gary Hart
There is tension I. The arena. Two Champions meet for the right to take on Rikki Choshu, in a Tokyo, for the International Championship. Could Gary Hart be the deciding factor? Both men are cautious. They exchange holds and counter holds. The crowd is on their feet, enjoying the action. Adams rolls up Gino, and referee Bronko Lubich counts two. Hart argues about a fast count. From Bronko!? They continue to back and forth. Gino takes the momentum, and Adams reverses it. Both men are near the ropes. Adams gets Hernandez up for a suplex. Hart reaches in, and grabs Chris’s ankle. He falls with Gino on top of him. Hart holds on. Lubich does not see this! Gino wins, he will face Choshu. Adams argues, but to no avail.
Winner-Gino Hernandez
Bill Mercer closes the show.
Mercer, “That was a miscarriage of justice! But Gino goes to Tokyo to face Choshu. Things are heating up in WWI, and next week will be different. Our main event will be the Great Kabuki, with Gary Hart, taking on General Skandor Akbar’s new man. We don’t know who he is, but if he’s with Akbar, he has to be wild!”
