SHOWCASE TV TITLE
Chris Colt w/Izzy Slapowitz b. Checkmate.
Slapowitz throws fire but Checkmate manages to dodge the fireball. Colt is able to hit a flying forearm, though, for the win. (M)
SHOWCASE TAG TEAM TITLES
Pat Rose/Randy Rose w/Ron Fuller b. Tommy Lane/Mike Davis
Davis is distracted by Fuller late in the match. That allows Randy to get a knee in the back and both Roses to deliver a double gut buster for the win. Fuller holds onto Lane’s leg from the floor. (W)
SHOWCASE TV TITLE
Scott McGhee b. Rip Rogers
Rogers drops McGhee, throat first, over the top rope to gain a sustained advantage. But, the arrogant Rogers lets the ringside fans get under his skin. McGhee is able to recover and turn a suplex attempt into a backslide for the victory. (A)
SHOWCASE TAG TEAM TITLES
Steve Armstrong/Bob Armstrong b. Dirty Rhodes/Phil Hickerson w/Tojo Yamamoto
Hickerson misses a top rope leg drop here and the veteran Bob Armstrong counters with a Japanese sleeper. Steve blocks off Rhodes and, from the back, Nick Kiniski takes care of Yamamoto to allow the popular father and son team to advance to the finals. (M)
CONTINENTAL HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE
The Flame © and Scott Casey wrestle to a DDQ.
Casey seems more out to punish Flame than win his belt. Tommy Weathers can’t control the action and calls for the DQ bell. (W)

On the last of a series of cradle reverses, Starr uses his feet on the ropes to get extra leverage and a pinfall. Thornton wants more action but the retreating champ wants none of it. (A)

Slapowitz hits Colt, by mistake, with his “book of truth” after McGhee slips out of an arm hold. Scott dropkicks the manager off the apron and hits a Northern Lights suplex for the title win. Scott McGhee is the SHOWCASE TV CHAMPION. (M)
SHOWCASE TAG TEAM TITLES FINAL
The Rose Cousins w/Ron Fuller vs. Steve Armstrong/Bob Armstrong w/
Tony Atlas comes down to ringside and negates the influence of Fuller in this one bout. Pat Rose is knocked of the turnbuckle ropes by Steve Armstrong on a superplex attempt late in the match. Armstrong hits a missile dropkick while Randy Rose, Bob Armstrong, Tony Atlas, and Ron Fuller fight on the floor. Weathers counts three, giving The Armstrongs the win.
BOB and STEVE ARMSTRONG ARE THE SHOWCASE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS.
The PA announcer tells the fans to celebrate responsibly and drive home safely, even if somebody else has to do it.
