Ron Starr b. Les Thornton by DQ
Thornton refuses to back off from Starr when Rotten Ron was tied in the ropes. (Anderson).
CONTINENTAL HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE
The Flame b. Scott Casey
Casey falls hard to the civic center floor. He hurts his right arm and shoulder. Flame pounds away, eventually locking on the flying hammerlock submission. (Weathers)
SHOWCASE JUNIOR TITLE
Scott Armstrong b. Roy Lee Welch
During the match, Armstrong pitches Welch’s crown down to a ringsider. Welch slides under the ropes to get it. He is met by a superkick from Armstrong, as he re-enters the ring. Armstrong picks up the victory after the cover. (Murray)
CONTINENTAL HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE
Bob Armstrong b. The Dream Machine
Armstrong manages to turn the mask of The Machine around. The big man doesn’t see Bullet Bob setting up for a Japanese sleeper. He goes under and Armstrong is in the title match. (Anderson)
*Ron Fuller/Randy Rose/Pat Rose b. Porkchop Cash/Checkmate/Tommy Lane
Fuller gets a submission from Lane with the Fuller Leg Lock. (Weathers)
INTERMISSION
*Steve Doll b. Yuri Gordienko by DQ
Gordienko is frustrated and kicks Doll in the groin right in front of referee Mac McMurray.
*SHOWCASE JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE
Ron Starr b. Scott Armstrong
During this tourney, Starr has shown himself to be a loose cannon. He exhibits some smarts to come away with the belt here. He taps Armstrong on the shoulder during a cover. Scott thinks that Pee Wee Anderson has counted three. Starr gets in a DDT, as the youngster argues the point. Anderson does count three this time and Ron Starr is the SHOWCASE JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION. (Anderson)
*CONTINENTAL HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE
The Flame w/Ron Fuller b. Bob Armstrong
Tommy Weathers is caught between The Flame and Armstrong when a splash occurs in the corner. Bob goes in to try to revive the official. Fuller slams the head of Bullet Bob with a chair. Weathers does come around after The Tennessee Stud gets rid of the evidence. The Flame covers and wins the CONTINENTAL HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE.
