Announcers: Jack Reynolds and Dick the Bruiser, with Billy Red Lyons conducting interviews
Ring Announcer: Larry Nelson
Referees: Tommy Young, Jack Lotz and “Dangerous” Danny Davis
JACK REYNOLDS is standing behind a podium, with the NAWF logo behind him. Reynolds welcomes his co-host, “the World’s Most Dangerous Wrestler” DICK THE BRUISER!
Reynolds and the Bruiser welcome us to another episode of “All-Star Championship Wrestling”!
Reynolds hypes tonight’s show, and says that they’ve got a HUGE main event! He says that they’ve been receiving letters by the thousands from fans all around the country, wanting to see this match, and tonight, it’s going to happen . . . Rocky Johnson has been cleared to return to action, and he will team with Dino Bravo against the men that put Rocky on the shelf, Bobby Heenan’s duo of Abdullah the Butcher and the Masked Superstar!
Plus, the Moondogs, Rougeau brothers and PYT Express will all be in action tonight as they gear up for the big North American tag team title tournament that will take place on Christmas Day at the Civic Arena in Pittsburgh.
Reynolds says that they have some big news, the NAWF will make it’s west coast debut on New Years Day, when they present a star-studded event at the Sports Arena in Los Angeles! On that card, fans will see Mexican wrestling legend and IWA World Heavyweight champion Mil Mascaras, who will defend the title he’s held for almost a decade, against a former NWA world champion, and a man that many call one of the greatest wrestlers of all-time, Harley Race!
Bruiser says he’s been in the ring with Harley on many occasions, and says he’s never faced anyone tougher! He says Mascaras will have his work cut out for him on January 1 in LA!
We see a series of clips of Harley Race in action, including a long clip of Race ending Ric Flair’s first reign as NWA champion on June 10, 1983 in St. Louis.
Then we see a video of IWA world champion Mil Mascaras
THE ROUGEAU BROTHERS: JACQUES & RAYMOND beat THE NIGHTMARES: KEN WAYNE & DANNY DAVIS. The Rougeaus keep pace with the smaller Nightmares, and the result is a fast-paced, exciting match that nearly goes the distance, but the the Rougeaus pick up the win just before the 10-time limit expires, when Raymond holds one of the Nightmares in a bearhug, while Jacques delivers a clothesline off the top rope for the pinfall victory.
Afterwards, Billy Red Lyons joins Jacques and Raymond at ringside. Lyons says that they’ll be a part of the big tag team tournament on Christmas Day. Jacques says that he and Raymond are going to give their all in this tournament, and hopefully they’ll be able to come back out here next week as the first NAWF North American tag team champs!
Raymond says that they’re from Montreal (and gives a quick “bonjour” to the Canadian fans watching on TSN), but they’ve both spent a lot of time wrestling here in the US, and the fans have always welcomed them with open arms. He says he hopes they’ll do the same, and come out and support them, on Christmas Day.
THE BRITISH BRUISERS: DYNAMITE KID & ROLLERBALL ROCCO beat TOM ZENK & THE MASKED MARVEL. The Brits get the win when Dynamite Kid hits a diving headbutt on the masked man for the pinfall victory.
Afterwards, Rollerball snatches the house mic from Larry Nelson, and says that they don’t care if these fans boo them. He says that these people cheer for losers like Bruno Sammartino Jr, Tony Parisi and Rocky Johnson, so what do they know?!?!
Dynamite Kid says that they’ll go through the other teams in the tournament on Christmas Day, win the North American tag team titles, and do it all without the support of these idiot Yanks!
Billy Red Lyons is standing by with Bobby Heenan, the Masked Superstar and Abdullah the Butcher. Billy Red says that in tonight’s main event, we have a match that could main event any arena in the country, as his two men, the Superstar and Abdullah, face off with the popular duo of Rocky Johnson and Dino Bravo.
Heenan says that Rocky Johnson just spent the last few weeks sitting at home, with injured ribs, and when he comes back, the first thing he wants to do is get back in the ring with the two men who injured him in the first place? He says that Rocky’s even dumber than he thought! And then this ham n’ egger, Dino Bravo, saw first-hand what they did to Rocky, and now he wants to risk his career as well? Heenan says that he wants to make it crystal clear to Johnny Powers and the NAWF, he won’t be held responsible for what happens to Rocky and Bravo here tonight!
Heenan then says that he has some big news to share, he’s going to give all the fans watching at home an early Christmas gift! As the number one manager in the sport today, he’s always on the look-out for talent to add to his stable, and he’s found the perfect fit! The humanoids will remember that this man was on the verge of greatness in New York when the WWF folded, but now he’s here in the NAWF and he’s going to pick up right where he left off.
Heenan then introduces what he calls the most perfect specimen to ever lace up a pair of wrestling boots . . . “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff!
Orndorff walks in, wearing a royal blue robe, and admiring himself in a hand-held mirror. Heenan says that, with his guidance, Orndorff, Abdullah and the Superstar are going to rule the wrestling world, and it starts tonight, when they destroy Rocky Johnson and Dino Bravo!
THE PYT EXPRESS: KOKO WARE & NORVELL AUSTIN beat THE SPOILER & SWEDE HANSON. Koko and Norvell have their work cut out for them here, as they square off against the much larger veteran duo of the Spoiler and Swede Hanson. After several minutes of hard-hitting, back and forth action, the PYTs get the win when Koko connects with a top-rope missile dropkick on Swede Hanson, then covers him for the 1, 2, 3.
Reynolds and the Bruiser talk about the rivalry going on, between Rocky Johnson and Heenan’s men, particularly Abdullah the Butcher. Reynolds says that it was about a month ago that Abby put Johnson on the shelf.
VTR: Rocky Johnson vs Sailor White, 11/24/84:
The match doesn’t even get started, as Abdullah the Butcher hits the ring, and attacks Rocky from behind just as he locks up with White. With Heenan directing traffic, Abby and Sailor White put the boots to Johnson, with Abby then pulling out the fork and opening up a cut on Rocky’s forehead.
It’s not long before Johnson is wearing the crimson mask. He tries desperately to fight back, but the combination of the beating he’s received, and the loss of blood has slowed him down, and Abby and White continue to pummel him. Abby hits two Butcher’s Axe elbowdrops, and that’s all she wrote for Rocky, he’s out on the mat, but the Butcher isn’t done! Heenan throws a chair into the ring, and while the Brain and Sailor White fight off anyone who tries to help Rocky, Abdullah repeatedly drives the chair into Rocky’s ribs!
Finally, Dino Bravo, Arn Anderson, Bruno Sammartino Jr and Tony Parisi are able to get into the ring and make the save.
END VTR
Then, the next week, Dino Bravo was looking to avenge the injury to his friend when he took on Abdullah.
VTR: Dino Bravo vs Abdullah the Butcher, 12/1/84, JIP:
We’re treated to a wild match between these two, that sees Bravo bleeding quite heavily from a cut on his forehead, courtesy of Abby’s fork. That doesn’t stop Bravo though, he continues to fight back, and actually seems to have the upper hand when THE MASKED SUPERSTAR, Abby’s stablemate, hits the ring!
The Superstar hits Bravo with the swinging neckbreaker, then holds him up while Abby repeatedly jabs at Dino’s head with his fork.
Suddenly, the fans in attendance errupt, and ROCKY JOHNSON, his ribs heavily taped, hits the ring! Johnson is wielding a chair, and he batters Abby and the Superstar with it before they wisely bail out of the ring.
As Heenan, Abby and the Superstar head for the locker room, Rocky helps Dino up, and they stand tall in the ring!
END VTR
We see a clip of Dino Bravo’s match the following week, where the Masked Superstar came out and watched the final minutes of the match from ringside, distracting Bravo at one point, and almost causing him to get pinned.
Reynolds says that it all reaches a boiling point, when Rocky Johnson and Dino Bravo team up tonight to face Abdullah and the Masked Superstar in a tag team grudge match!
Billy Red Lyons is standing by with the Universal Hearthrob Austin Idol. Billy Red welcomes Idol to the NAWF and says that Idol has made a name for himself all across the United States, and while he’s probably best known for his time in Georgia, Florida and Alabama, he’s held titles everywhere he’s gone.
Idol thanks Billy Red for the warm welcome, and says that he’s travelled this great country from coast to coast, but now he’s here in the North American Wrestling Federation, because this is where the toughest competition is! He says that he can’t wait to get into the ring with the biggest and baddest that the NAWF has to offer!
Reynolds and Bruiser talk about the big show coming up in just three days time, on Christmas night in Pittsburgh. As they talk about the card, a graphic pops up on the screen showing the matches that will take place.

We get about 6 minutes of action before the show ends, but in those 6 minutes, these two teams tear into each other with reckless abandon! They brawl in, and around, the ring and before the time runs out, both Abby and Johnson are bleeding!
Reynolds and the Bruiser wrap things up as the two teams continue to brawl in the ring.
