JACK REYNOLDS is standing behind a podium, with the NAWF logo behind him. Reynolds welcomes his co-host, “the World’s Most Dangerous Wrestler” DICK THE BRUISER!
Reynolds and the Bruiser welcome us to another episode of “All-Star Championship Wrestling”!
On tonight’s show, we’ll see two singles matches, as Bruno Sammartino Jr squares off with Dennis Condrey of the Midnight Express, while their respective partners, Tony Parisi and Bobby Eaton, meet in another one on one match.
Plus, we’ll see the Fabulous Freebirds, the British Bruisers and Jay and Mark Youngblood in action!
Reynolds says that we’re gearing up for the big North American tag team title tournament on Christmas night in Pittsburgh, and between this week’s show and next week’s, we’ll see all 8 teams that will be involved in the tournament.
And as we heard from NAWF Commissioner Johnny Powers last week, starting in the new year, will be the Road to the Gold, an 8-man tournament for the NAWF North American title that will take place over several weeks on TV, with the finals being held at the Pittsburgh Civic Arena on February 1.
Reynolds and Bruiser then talk about what happened in our main event last week, a No DQ match between the Midnight Express and Bruno Sammartino Jr and Tony Parisi.
VTR: Last Week on All-Star Championship Wrestling, JIP:
As Tony Parisi heads to the top rope for the Cannonball Splash, Cornette tosses his tennis racket to Bobby Eaton, who clobbers Parisi with it, knocking him off the top rope.
Dennis Condrey, who was on the mat, crawls over and covers Parisi, while Eaton charges into the ring and stops Sammartino from breaking up the count.
The Midnight Express have stolen a victory from Tony Parisi and Bruno Sammartino Jr!
END VTR
Reynolds says that, as he mentioned at the top of the show, the two teams will meet again this week, in two singles matches, as Sammartino Jr faces Condrey and Parisi faces Eaton.
BRUNO SAMMARTINO JR beats DENNIS CONDREY (w/ Jim Cornette). After a hard-hitting, back and forth match, the youngster from Pittsburgh gets the win by submission when he locks Condrey in a Bearhug.
After the match, Bobby Eaton hits the ring, and he and Condrey use Cornette’s tennis racket to give Sammartino a beating, but Tony Parisi runs out and makes the save.
THE FABULOUS FREEBIRDS: MICHAEL HAYES & TERRY GORDY beat TOM ZENK & THE MASKED MARVEL. The Freebirds dominate the match, and get the win in about 2 minutes, when Hayes drops the masked man on his head with a DDT for the pinfall.
Reynolds and the Bruiser talk about the team of Tony Parisi and Bruno Sammartino Jr. Reynolds talks about the fact that Parisi was a frequent tag team partner of Bruno Sr’s, and has taken on something of a mentor-type role for young Bruno Jr.
We see footage from the 1960s, of Parisi and Bruno Sammartino teaming up for a match at Buffalo’s Memorial Auditorium.
We then cut to a video of Parisi training with Bruno Jr, including Parisi teaching him the Cannonball Splash off the top rope.
Reynolds and Bruiser talk about the big show coming up on Christmas night in Pittsburgh. As they talk about the card, a graphic pops up on the screen showing the matches that will take place.

BOBBY EATON (w/ Jim Cornette) beats TONY “CANNONBALL” PARISI. Parisi and Eaton put on a clinic in this match. Despite the MX’s willingness to cheat at every opportunity, Eaton shows here that he can go hold for hold with anyone, even someone as accomplished as Parisi. In the end, Eaton gets his hand raised, connecting with a top-rope elbowdrop on Parisi for the 1, 2, 3.
Reynolds and the Bruiser talk some more about Austin Idol, who will make his NAWF debut very soon. They play the video from last week again.
MARK & JAY YOUNGBLOOD wrestle THE BRITISH BRUISERS: DYNAMITE KID & MARC ROCCO to a DRAW when TV time runs out after about 13 minutes of action. On commentary, Reynolds and Bruiser talk about the lighter weight wrestlers, like DK and Rocco, and the impact that they’re having on the wrestling world, not only here in North America, but in places like Japan and Europe as well. Reynolds says that in the UK, it’s not uncommon to see Jr. heavyweight wrestlers main eventing major shows at legendary venues like Royal Albert Hall. DK and Rocco prove their point, as they hit some innovative high flying moves!
The Youngbloods, for their part, keep pace with the British team, going move for move with them right up until the bell sounds to signal that time has run out.
Afterwards, the Youngbloods offer a handshake, but DK and Rocco just slap their hands away and storm off.
Reynolds and the Bruiser then wrap things up and hype next week’s show.
