Now here come the other referees, and finally Greg Valentine lets go of the figure four, and celebrates, well we expected a win by Greg Valentine and here she comes Moolah to help him celebrate, but by golly this Shane DOUGLAS kid looks better every match I see him! BABY DOLL HANDCUFFED TO BILL WATTS AT RINGSIDE
FREEBIRD BUDDY ROBERTS V BOB SWEETAN
After many delays an uncooperative on the part of Baby Doll and Buddy Roberts as it comes to putting on the handcuffs, Bill sneaks behind Baby Doll and handcuffs himself to her and leads her kicking and screaming out of the ring as Sweetan sneaks up and Sundays a protesting Buddy Roberts! We are underway as Watts and Baby Doll sit down next to each other, handcuffed. Look at Sweetan as he stomps a mud hole into Roberts early on! Baby Doll keeps trying to jump up out of her chair to help Buddy but is anchored by Watts each time.
Sweetan is especially brutal tonight, and Roberts bleeds early on. Sweetan takes a break every now and then to turn his attention on Baby Doll, mocking her and berating her. He even takes Buddy’s bloody head and and shoves it right in her face! Even Bill Watts is taken aback and points a finger at Sweetan suggesting he focus on the match at hand----wait, Sweetan throws down Roberts, and is he having words with Watts? Sweetan is certainly surly tonight here in Houston!
But wait! Buddy keeps fighting back! Like him or not, Buddy Roberts has a lot of heart but seems to be without his Mojo sans the “assistance” of Baby Doll and at the 17:45 mark Sweetan slams Buddy off the ropes and slams him for a pin and FANS WE HAVE A NEW SOUTHWEST Heavyweight champion!!! The ref hands the belt to Sweetan who hold it up and then . . .

BASHES ROBERTS HEAD WITH IT!!! Is that really needed? The ref orders the new champ out of the ring, and he steps out and sees Watts working on uncuffing Baby Doll!
He approaches menacingly and LOOK AT THIS BABY DOLL HIDES BEHIND WATTS AS SWEETAN RAISES THE BELT AS IF HE IS GOING TO HIT HER WITH IT! WATTS STEPS UP AND POINTS TO THE LOCKER ROOM DEMANDING SWEETAN LEAVE BABY DOLL ALONE! As they jawjack Watts finally frees Baby Doll who FLIES INTO THE RING TO CHECK ON HER MAN AS SWEETAN AND WATTS ARE NOSE TO NOSE, BELLY TO BELLY, and finally Sweetan heads to the locker room, and holds his belt up high . . . . fans do we hear a smattering of boos with the applause?

But at the 13-minute mark, it’s a 4-man schmaaze and Sam Houston flies out of the ring, Larry Sharpe nails him with a chair, and throws him back in the ring, the ref didn’t see it, Nikolai picks up Sam and press slams him, and makes the cover: 1-2-3!!!! FANS, WHAT A RIP OFF!!! Nikolai Volkoff and Baron Von Rashcke have delivered a real turkey to the fans here in Houston!!!

DICK MURDOCH V KENDO NAGASAKI w/Larry Sharpe
The bell rings and Murdoch is the aggressor, all over Kendo Nagasaki with kicks and punches and while the ref tries to reel him back, there’s not much he can do: it’s NO DQ! But the arguing distracts Murdoch enough where Nagasaki scores a throat punch, and now its Murdoch’s turn to suffer! Nagasaki then puts him in a Camel clutch, looking for Murdoch to say UNCLE! Remember fans, the only way to win is to get your opponent to submit or if via KO! Murdoch however gets to the ropes and while under no obligation to do so, Kendo eventually let’s go, runs the ropes and goes to land a knee on Murdoch while still Murdoch is still draped on the ropes NO!!! MURDOCH OPENS THE ROPES AND BOTH MEN TUMBLE THROUGH TO THE SUMMIT FLOOR BELOW as wrestlers from both dressing rooms empty out to the arena floor to watch!
This is not a no-count out match, but that’s not what the fans came to see, so the ref takes his time counting and it looks like Nagasaki got the worse of it and is BUSTED OPEN! Murdoch throws his head into the post and throws him back in the ring, knee drop and then puts Nagasaki in a Texas cloverleaf! Nagasaki SCREAMS IN pain but eventually drags himself to the ropes, and Murdoch goes to stomp his legs, Nagasaki with a blow to Murdoch’s chest, and not both men are holding onto the ropes, kicking and punching each other until Murdoch with the BIG ELBOW AND FANS, NAGASAKI IS STUNNED, and Murdoch with some more knees and elbows and this time Murdoch goes for the Texas cloverleaf, but before he can turn him over:

MURDOCH LETS GO OF THE CLOVERLEAF AND FLAILS ABOUT HOLDING HIS EYES AS THE REF ADMONISHES NAGASAKI BUT ITS NO DQ, AND now Nagasaki staggers up and stalks Murdoch . . . . a blinded world champion IS NAILED WITH A SPINNING KARATE KICK AND IS DOWN ON THE MAT!!! Nagasaki sneaks up behind Murdoch. . . . . TURNS HIM AROUND AND TRIES TO GRAPEVINE THE LEGS! HE’S GOING FOR THE BURMESE SPIDER CLAW BUT MURDOCH WHILE BLINDED CAN FEEL IT HE HAS IT WELL SCOUTED AND GETS TO THE ROPES AND SLIDES UNDER THE LOWEST ONE ESCAPING THE HOLD AND IS met by Mark Van Halen and Sam Houston who douse Murdoch’s face with a wet towel, much to Larry Sharpe’s protests, SORRY LARRY FAIR IS FAIR, and look at this Nagasaki, the Japanese madman animal kicks and punches at both men but Van Halen steps up allowing Sam more time to help Murdoch wipe the poison out of his eyes.
Murdoch rolls into the ring as Sharpe and Nagasaki have words with the faces. Nagasaki finally rolls into the ring AND MEETS A DROPKICK FROM MURDOCH, and both men are down, Nagasaki from the kick, Murdoch still wiping his eyes, but clearly the wet towel helped. They stagger up . . . . both off the ropes . . . . THEY KNOCK HEADS!!!! The ref counts . . . 1…..2……3……4 . . . . . 5 . . . . .6 . . . . Nagasaki pulls himself up on the ropes . . . . 8 . . . .MURDOCH IS UP BOUNCES OFF THE ROPES:
