The massive Candy takes on a very skilled Mike George. Mike looks very good early. He even gets a two count. Candy rallies, and overpowers George. Candy hits the big splash for the win.

Rufus R. Jones vs. Kamala w/General Skandor Akbar
Jones, and referee David Manning wait in the ring. The jungle drums play, and Kamala comes to the ring. He attacks Jones. Kamala chops, and kicks, and Rufus is in trouble. Friday shouts instructions to the Ugandan Giant. Jones puts up a good fight, but Kamala lands the big splash for the win.

Iceman King Parsons vs. Bulldog Bill Brown
The popular Iceman takes on the rugged veteran. Parsons moves very quickly, and he looks great. Brown pulls out his illegal tactics, and he gains an advantage. Parsons rallies and wins with the butt bump.

The Fantastics (Champions) vs. The Pretty Young Things
The Fantastics put the titles on the line against the tough guys from Memphis. Koko B. Ware starts with Tommy Rogers. They go back and forth in a fast paced sequence. Rogers whips Ware into the ropes, and clamps on a sleephold. Koko fights to the ropes and the hold is broken. Both teams are very sharp. They tag in and out and the action increases. In the end, the Fantastics hit the Fantastic flip on Austin for the win.

Gino Hernandez (American Heavyweight Champion) w/Gary Hart vs. Johnny Mantell
The arrogant American Heavyweight Champion struts around the ring. The cowboy from Montague County is calm and cool. Referee Bronko Lubich calls for the bell, and we are underway. The early moments of the match go back and forth. Mantell takes Gino down and works over the leg. Hart looks very worried at ringside. Hernandez seems frustrated, and he goes to the illegal tactics. The tide turns, and Hernandez wins with the falling elbow.

Lowrance, “With me is the Missouri State Champion Hacksaw Jim Duggan. Hacksaw, tonight you face Ernie Ladd. He is a decorated veteran, and one of the best in the history of the sport. Are you ready?”
Duggan, “Listen to me Marc Lowrance, I won this title with hard work, and effort. I know how good Ladd is, but tough guy, you’re not taking this title from old Hacksaw! I won it for the fans, and I’ll fight to keep it! HOOOOOOOO!”
Lowrance, “Tonight’s Main Event will be a great one.”

‘Gorgeous’ Jimmy Garvin (Champion) w/Precious vs. “Gentleman” Chris Adams
Adams has been hot on the trail of the Champion. By hook, or by crook, Garvin has held onto the title. The bell rings and we are underway. Both men trade holds and counter holds. Adams gets a quick rollup for a two count. Garvin kicks out, and Precious argues with referee Rick Hazzard. The action picks up, and the crowd is on their feet. Adams seems to have the edge. He goes for a suplex, but Garvin blocks it. Jimmy shoots Chris into the corner, but Hazzard is in the way. Rick goes down. This allows Precious to climb up on the ring apron. Adams turns to confront her. She sprays something into his eyes. Adams is blinded. Garvin rolls him up. Hazzard is to his feet. He sees the cover, and counts three. This is a travesty of justice.

The Legion of Doom (Champions) w/Paul Ellering vs. The Von Erich Brothers
This is the first meeting between these two teams. The wrestling world is waiting for this. The Von Erichs are Six Man experts, but the Legion of Doom are monsters. Kevin and Hawk open the contest. The Road Warrior tries to overpower Kevin. Kevin gives up size, but he is a fighter, and he goes right after Hawk, Kevin is in fire, and the St. Louis crowd is on their feet. Kevin backs Hawk into the corner. He tags in Mike. The younger Von Erich tries his hand. Hawk tags in the Barbarian. The Barbarian uses his size to take over. Now the Champions have the upper hand. Ike is in trouble. The Barbarian pounds away, and Ellering is supremely confident. Mike begins to fire back. He is able to escape, and tag in Kerry. The “Modern Day Warrior” stems through the ropes. The Barbarian seems to want to part of Kerry. He tags in Animal, and we have a stare down. They lock up. Kerry wins a test of strength, and the Road Warrior is frustrated. The battle continues. Kerry seems to be getting the better of things. Suddenly, all six men end up in the ring. Referee Bronko Lubich tries to get things under control, but he can’t. He calls for the bell, and disqualifies both teams.

Ric Flair vs. Harley Race
Two NWA greats meet in the iconic NWA City. David Manning is your referee. The winner meets the Missouri State Champion in December. It doesn’t get better than this. Both men men start slowly. They know each other very well. They trade holds and counter holds. Race grabs an arm bar, and Flair reverses it into a hammerlock. Ric goes for a sleephold, but Race escapes. They stand in mid-ring and stare at one another. Neither man has made a mistake yet. The match continues, and the crowd gets louder. Flair takes Race down, and slaps on the figure four! Race is trying to get to the ropes. Manning asked if Race wants to submit. No way the grizzled veteran gives up! Harley reaches the ropes, and Manning calls for the break. Race is noticeably limping.He goes to even more rough house tactics. Race takes Flair down, and rolls him up. Ric grabs a handful of tights and reverses things. Manning does not see this, and counts three! Ric Flair brats Harley Race. Harley argues, but he’s been around. He knows it will do no good. Ric Flair will meet the Missouri State Champion in December.

Hacksaw Jim Duggan (Champion) vs. Ernie Ladd
Ernie Ladd comes to the ring and the crowd boos. He has heard this for 20 years, and he revels in it. The Champion comes to the ring, and the boos turn to cheers. The fans love the rugged youngster. Bronko Lubich is your referee. The bell rings, and the brawl begins. There will be very few wrestling holds, but lots of action. Ladd starts fast. The former All Pro football player dishes out the punishment. Duggan is in early trouble. Ladd throws rights, and lefts. He scoops up Duggan and slams the big man. Ernie goes for the cover. Duggan kicks out at two! That was close. The match continues, and the intensity increases. Duggan regains his composure, and now he is dealing out the punishment. Duggan whips Ladd into the ropes and drops him with a shoulder tackle. Ladd goes down, and Duggan covers him. Ernie kicks out at two. Both men pick up the pace, and intensity. Finally, Duggan hits the spear. Ladd goes down, and Hacksaw covers him. Lubich counts 1...2...3! Hacksaw retains the Missouri State Title! Duggan celebrates with the title. Ric Flair comes to the ring and takes the mic from Marc Lowrance.
Flair, “Duggan, that was impressive! You out brawled an old man. Now, you have to get in the ring with the ‘Nature Boy’! I’ve wrestled them all, and I’ve beaten them all, remember Duggan, to be the man, you have to beat the man! WHOOOOOOOOO,”
Duggan takes the mic.
Duggan, “O.K.tough guy! I’ll be there, and I’ll beat the MAN! HOOOOOO!
