Steve: “WELCOME ONE WELCOME ALL, live from the world famous Gilley’s Nightclub on the outskirts of Houston Texas THIS IS CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING FROM HOUSTON, and it is my honor to be joined by a man well known in Houston, Texas, Oklahoma and heck the world over, COWBOY BILL WATTS!
Bill: “Thank you for that Steve, and what a month August was for this company. Kendo Nagasaki’s contract was sold by Don Carson to Larry Sharpe with devastating consequences for Dick Murdoch’s world title reign. We have a new Southwest Heavyweight Champion in Freebird Buddy Roberts, but #1 contender Bob Sweetan has made it known that he is fed up with the interference of Baby Doll in their matches. While Nikolai Volkoff and Baron Von Rashcke remain dominant of the World Tag team titles, things between Tiger Conway Junior and Mr. Olympia heated up with Mark Lewin and Killer Brooks. And what an exciting addition to Houston is Wendell Cooley?
“I do have one injury to report, and that is Big John Studd suffered ligament damage in a match versus Mark Van Halen August 20 in Biloxi and it is not clear if that injury will heal in time for October 6 when Championship Wrestling from Houston returns with a big card in Corpus Christi!
Steve: “That is a great run down thank you for that Bill Watts Jimmy Golden is in the ring, let’s see who his opponent is?
“THE CRADLE WILL ROCK” and its THE MAN OF THE HOUR, fresh off a successful set of matches versus Big John Studd, its MARK VAN HALEN!

KENDO NAGASAKI w/Larry Sharpe V CYCLONE NEGRO
A jubilant Pretty Boy heads over to Bill and Steve to gloat over his new acquisition during the match! Larry brags about his investment, with Nagasaki in his back pocket, no one will mess with the World tag team champions, and Nagasaki has the dangerous Burmese Spider Claw that will dethrone Dick Murdoch and bring the World Heavyweight Championship to Larry’s Lounge!
Bill: “You are on top of the world Larry Sharpe, or you would be should I say, if it weren’t for one thing: your biggest man, Big John Studd, is INJURED!
Larry: “As far as I know there is no film of the match, but if there was the fans would see that their hero, Mark Van Halen is a vicious hooligan who deliberately targeted Big John Studd and deliberately injured him! Bill Watts, don’t you be concerned ½ of a Big John Studd is more of a man than that punk Mark Van Halen will ever be, and when he comes back, it will be an eye of an eye, a tooth for a tooth!
In the ring, Kendo is having trouble, Larry goes to the apron and distracts the ref allowing Nagasaki TO BLOW MIST INTO NEGROS FACE, AND THEN PUTS THE BURMESE SPIDER CLAW ON HIM, and Negro passes out rather than submit, but as he does the ref wipes his face, examining the spray and questions Sharpe and Kendo, but Sharpe throws a towel over Kendo’s head, they leave the ring before the ref can ask too many questions! CHEAP!!!!!

Mark Van Halen is interviewed, and he sheepishly apologizes for Studd’s injury, while he and Studd don’t see eye to eye he is not out to deliberately injure anyone. He asks Mr. Watts to let Bob Geigel know that even though it doesn’t look like Studd is going to wrestle in Corpus Christi or anywhere in October, he is very interested in big match 10/6!

Don Carson is here with Mark Lewin and Killer Brooks. Carson is showing off a big wad of cash, bragging about all the money he made selling kendo Nagasaki’s contract to Larry Sharpe, and bragging that he is a star maker.
Bill asks him about only having 2 men in his stable. Lewin and Brooks seem to object to the question.
Carson: “It’s okay fellas I’ll answer the question. What you are looking at here Bill Watts is a well-oiled, hard running Cadillac. But what is better than that? A well-oiled, hard running Cadillac with a SUNROOF, and next week I will add that sunroof when I debut one of the top up and coming talents in the world next week right here on CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING!

He is sick and tired of Baby Doll and her antics, and while not the most gentlemanly thing to do, he is glad he dumped her in the garbage dumpster at the Superdome because that’s the garbage she is, and he is under negotiations for a rematch: RIGHT HERE ON CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING STAY TUNED!
