MATCH 1:
BLOCK A
The Minnesota Wrecking Crew vs. Genichiro Tenryu and Jumbo Tsuruta
The Anderson cousins had a week off to refresh, and they’ll need it to take on local favourites Tenryu and Tsuruta, who get a hero’s welcome here in Osaka. Ole goes to lock up with Tsuruta first, but stills several times as they go to lock up. Jumbo finally gets annoyed and drills Anderson with a chop across the chest, and then catches him with a high knee that sends Ole scurrying back into his corner. Ole tags out to Arn, who cautiously steps back into the ring.
Jumbo and Arn lock up, with Anderson turning into a go-behind hammerlock. Tsuruta swings with a few elbows, but Double A weaves to miss them making full contact on him. Tsuruta backs the two of them into the ropes, breaking the hold. As he turns around, Arn Anderson slaps the taste out of his mouth, igniting the temper of Tsuruta. Jumbo boots Anderson in the gut, and drives him into the canvas with a double-underhook suplex. Arn scurries back to his corner and tags back out to Ole as Tenyru tags in.
Tenryu steps into the ring, calm, cool and collected. Genichiro Tenryu and Ole Anderson lock up, and Tenryu pulls him in with the abdominal stretch. Arn Anderson steps into the ring with a double sledge across Tenryu’s back to break the hold. Ole tries get back to his corner, but Tenryu stops him with a shoot-style kick to the back. Tenryu then plants Ole with a neck-breaker and tags Jumbo. Tenryu whips Ole off the ropes and Jumbo drills him with a brutal LARIAT-OOOOOOOOOOOO and covers for the one… two… three! The Andersons are undefeated in the World’s Strongest Tag League any longer.

A frustrated Rich pulls Mask up and shoots him off the ropes, and goes for the Thesz Press. Tiger Mask II dropkicks him instead and plants him with the Tiger Driver for the three count! [BLOCK B]
Giant Baba and Harley Race vs. Footloose
Samson Fuyuki’s forehead is all taped up after his recent encounter with The Sheik’s pencil. Giant Baba and Toshiaki Kawada start off here, and Kawada is swatted away each time he tries to make a move. Baba eventually grabs a hold of Kawada, and drives a knee into the stomach. Baba connects with a headbutt, scoops him up with a slam, and then makes the tag out to Harley Race. The former NWA World Heavyweight Champion steps into the ring, measures Kawada and connects with a falling head-butt to the stomach for the close two count.
Race hoists Kawada up and drives him back to the canvas straight away with a gutwrench suplex for another two count. Race drops a knee across the face, and then goes up to the second rope. Harley flies off with the flying headbutt, but Kawada dodges at the last second. Kawada tags out to Fuyuki, who connects with a spin kick that catches Race off guard. Race flops into the corner and gets a spinning heel kick to the face from Fuyuki.
Fuyuki goes to apply a belly-to-back driver, but Race puts on the breaks and stomps on Samson’s foot to break the grip. Race plants Fuyuki with the belly-to-belly suplex and then a headbutt to the forehead that re-opens that cut on Samson’s forehead. Race stomps on the wound a few times. Baba motions to Race that there’s no need for that, and after a little back and forth, Race tags out. Baba whips Fuyuki off the ropes and connects with a boot to the face, to pin him for the three count.
WINNERS: Giant Baba and Harley Race
