Mercer, “”Welcome to ‘American Championship Wrestling’! The American Heavyweight Title is on the line tonight. Kerry Von Erich defends the title against, the man who pinned him on July 4, Gino Hernandez! Gary Hart will be in the challengers’ corner. We will also see the ‘Hacksaw Man’ in action against his mortal enemy Boris Zhukov. Let’s go to Joe Rinelli, he is with the Fantastics.”
Match #1
The Fantastics vs. Los Diablos
Bobby Fulton and Tommy Rogers have arrived with a bang. The masked team from Mexico starts fast. The Fantastics are ready. They tag in and out, use the Fantastic flip on #2 for the win.

Mike Von Erich vs. Bob Marcus
The younger Von Erich has looked very good. He works well, and Marcus is in trouble. Mike uses a flying bodypress for the win.

Brian Adias vs. Ric McCord
This is a close matchup. The young McCord is very skilled, and he matches Adias move for move. McCord has chances, but Adias wins with a sunset flip.

King Kong Bundy vs. Kelly Kiniski
You have to give Kiniski credit. The young man is stepping into the ring with a monster. Kelly tries to wrestle, but Bundy is too big, too strong. He takes over and hits the avalanche. Bundy demands a five count, and referee David Manning gives it to him.

Marc Lowrance is with “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan.
Lowrance, “With me ‘Hacksaw’ Jim Duggan. Jim, you have been standing up for America, but General Akbar has his two Russians. Tonight you meet Boris Zhukov, but you know that Alexis Smirnoff will be around.”
Duggan,”Listen, tough guy, ‘Hacksaw’ loves America, and I’ll fight anyone who says anything bad about it! Akbar, you send your men at one at a time, two at a time, I don’t care! I’m an American, and nobody beats America, hooooooo!”
Lowrance, “‘Hacksaw’ Duggan vs. Boris Zhukov!”

The Super Destroyers w/General Skandor Akbar vs. Johnny Mantell and Skip Young
Akbar brings his masked men to the ring. Mantell, and Young, are good solid wrestlers. Mantell starts against SD #2. They go back and forth. Akbar is frustrated at ringside. The masked man gets rougher. He pounds away and tags in his partner. Mantell is in trouble. He escapes and tags in Young. “Sweet Brown Sugar” goes to the air. It works for a time, but the masked men take over. #1 lands a big boot to finish off Young.
Winners-The Super Destroyers
Marc Lowrance is with Gino Hernandez and Gary Hart.
Lowrance, “With me are Gino Hernandez and Gary Hart. Mr. Hart, you are hot on the trail of Kerry Von Erich and the American Heavyweight Title. Tonight, Gino has he chance.”
Hart, “Marc Lowrance, patience is very important in professional wrestling. Gino and I know that the Von Erichs Control things in ACW. You have to pick your spot, and we’ve found ours.”
Lowrance, “Why is Tonight the night?”
Hart, “I’m not surprised you don’t understand. You’re too young, and inexperienced. Look, I’m not telling you why, but I am telling you when….tonight. Gino will be the Champion.”
Hernandez, “Gary’s right about you, Lowrance, you’re stupid, and I will be your Champion!”
Lowrance, “Gino Hernandez, winning friends, and influencing people.”

“Hacksaw” Jim Duggan vs. Boris Zhukov w/General Skandor Akbar
There is national pride at stake here. These two men have gone at it hammer and tong. This is a brawl. Hacksaw throws big rights and lefts, and Zhukov is in retreat. Akbar shouts instructions from ringside. Zhukov mounts a comeback, and the crowd is on their feet. Duggan gains momentum, and Alexis Smirnoff hits the ring. They double team Duggan, but Jim is ready. He fights back and the Russians leave the ring. Duggan challenges Zhukov and Smirnoff, but they decline.
Winner-Hacksaw Duggan (Disqualification)

American Heavyweight Champion
Kerry Von Erich (Champion) vs. Gino Hernandez/“Playboy”Gary Hart
This is the big one. Gino, and Hart are very confident. Kerry comes to the ring amount a thunderous ovation. He looks ready for action. Bronko Lubich is your referee. The bell rings and both men begin to circle. They lock up, and the action begins. The early moments of the match go back and forth. Hernandez takes over. He punishes the Champion. Gino whips Kerry into the ropes, and catches Gino in a sleep hold. Kerry fights to the ropes. The crowd gets behind Kerry, and he mounts a comeback. Hart is worried, and he shouts instruction to Hernandez. Both men end up battling on the arena floor. Lubich’s count reaches 20, and he calls for the bell. Both men are counted out.
Result-Double Count Out
Bill Mercer closes the show.
Mercer, “Two matches that leave the fans wanting more! What can the ‘Hacksaw Man’ do to confront these two Russians? He may need help. What about Kerry Von Erich? This score is not settled. The action on ACW continues next week, the Texas Title will be on the line, the Champion, ‘Gorgeous’ Jimmy Garvin with Sunshine, defends the title against Chris Adams, don’t miss it!”
