Steve: “WELCOME ONE WELCOME ALL, live from the world famous Gilley’s Nightclub on the outskirts of Houston Texas THIS IS CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING FROM HOUSTON, I’m Steve Stack and it is my honor to be joined by a man well known in Houston, Texas, Oklahoma and heck the world over, COWBOY BILL WATTS!
Bill: “Steve, as we announced last week, 5 wrestlers have accepted invitations to the Sam Houston Coliseum June 3 to wrestle for the most coveted prize in sports: the UNDISPUTED World Heavyweight Championship!
“Many more top stars of the world have been invited to Houston, and we have yet to see any of them be brave enough to face Dick Murdoch, Buddy Roberts, Bob Sweeten, Ray Stevens and TULLY BLANCHARD to put it ALL on the line to finally, once and for all, crown an UNDISPUTED WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION.
“In the name of fairness, we have to draw a line in the sand, and I am officially giving the Nature Boys, Maniacs, Kings, Giants, and Tricky Nicks of the world a deadline: you have until FRIDAY, May 25, 1984 at 12pm Central Standard Time to issue your acceptance otherwise you forfeit ANY claim to being Undisputed Champion of the world.
“Now, Steve, I understand these wrestlers reluctance---after all, look at the tough characters entered into this tournament so far. But if I may offer a final enticement: later in this hour we will offer one, presented by an OLD FRIEND OF HOUSTON WRESTLING!

Steve is on location is SAN DIEGO California, and is joined by a muscular blonde man wearing sunglasses as El Topo shamelessly resurrects an old WCFL gimmick in desperation attempt to attract female fans.
Steve: “Steve Stack on location with a young wrestler coming to Houston that I am very excited to interview, Mark Van Halen! Mark, I can tell you from where I am standing you are put together. Tell me about your workout routine.
Mark is obviously very shy: “Well, Mister Stack, I get up at 5am, and the very first thing I do is eat a big breakfast, eggs, a lot of eggs you know, and then I like head to the gym, and do bench presses and curls for 3 hours.
“I then go for a 10 mile run, then it’s time for a noon nap, I get up, and then it’s a high protein lunch, and the afternoon it’s like, pushups, stretching, arm curls and the rest of the afternoon its wrestling training in the ring until dinnertime, which is a high protein carb usefully beef though I prefer chicken. Early to bed, because like, its all about pushing yourself all day, but you need the sleep.
Steve: “That’s amazing Mark, it is obvious you dedicate your time to making sure you are the in the best condition you can be, show the fans watching this at home some of those muscles.

Jose takes on Nagasaki and Negro at the beginning and seems in control then tags out to Sam. Sam is able to handle all the basic moves, then dropkicks Negro in the kisser when things get out of control and tags back out to Lothario. Lothario and Sam seem to have the match well in control with the fans getting behind the young Houston until Houston makes a rookie mistake and is trapped by the veterans and they play keep away from Lothario!
After all the typical false tags and hope spots, Supersock finally breaks through and knocks down both the heels and Sam makes the HOT TAG AND HERE COMES SUPERSOCK!!
WHAMMO!!!! ON NEGRO!
KABLAMMO!!!! NAGASAKI, WHO FALLS OUT OF THE RING, HOLDING HIS ACHING FACE, keep in mind fans, CYCLONE NEGRO IS THE LEGAL MAN!
Jose then tags out to SAM HOUSTON!!!
SAM HOUSTON ducks a Negro clothesline, then off the ROPES WITH A DROPKICK! DOWN GOES CYCLONE! Sam then has the cheek to pick up the veteran, and a STEER BUSTER BULLDOG, HE THEN HOOKS THE LEG AS JOSE KEEPS NAGASAKI AT BAY:

Jose: “Steve Stack, I knew this kid Sam Houston had the size, he had the talent, and the heart---I wasn’t sure if he had that KILLER INSTINCT to finish a match, that usually it takes a few YEARS to develop, but he showed it just a few moments go! There were a few mistakes today, but we have two weeks to train for Brooks and Lewin, and we will see what happens then!
Steve: “Fans I know we promised an extra incentive to entice potential participants to the Undisputed World Heavyweight Championship Tournament, but as you can imagine with the monumental events surrounding the Sam Houston upset, we must check our time, and adjust as necessary when we come back, please don’t touch that dial!
