Bill Mercer opens the show.
Mercer, “Welcome to American Championship Wrestling! We are two weeks away from the big show. Tonight, we will complete the field for the American Heavyweight Title. We have Kerry Von Erich, Chris Adams, and Jimmy Garvin. Tonight, Gino Hernandez meets Iceman King Parsons, the winner will enter the tournament. We also know the two teams who will meet for the American Tag Team Championship, the Kansas Jayhawks, and the Road Warriors. Both teams will be in action tonight. Finally, General Skandor Akbar debuts a new man, a man from the wilds of Siberia, Boris Zhukov. Let’s go to the ring.”
Match #1
Boris Zhukov w/General Skandor Akbar vs. Chief Jules Strongbow
Zhukov is a huge Russian with a massive head. Strongbow is game, and he holds his own. Akbar is worried. Zhukov is able to take over and wins with a headbutt. Akbar and the Russian are veterans berating in the ring. There is a commotion in the aisle. “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan comes to the ring. He grabs the mic.
Duggan, “I’m ‘Hacksaw’ Jim Duggan, and I love America, that means I hate Russians! Zhukov, Akbar, get in the ring with me at Texas Stadium, and I’ll give you an American butt whipping,”
Zhukov looks ready to fight, but Akbar doesn’t seem sure.

Bugsy McGraw vs. Dale Veasey
Two rugged wrestlers go at it in this one. Veasey is tough, and he shows us. The popular McGraw takes over and wins with a power slam.

The Road Warriors w/Paul Ellering vs. Johnny Mantell and the Destroyer
The Road Warriors have been running roughshod over everyone. They will meet the Kansas Jayhawks at Texas Stadium. Mantell, and the Destroyer do not back down from the monsters. Animal and Hawk get frustrated, but that seems to make them more vicious. They use the doomsday device on the masked man.

King Kong Bundy w/General Skandor Akbar vs. Skip Young
The popular veteran from Oak Cliffs takes on the massive Bundy. Yo7 g tries to hit and move, and that strategy is successful for a time. Finally, Bundy catches him, and uses the avalanche, and Bundy demands a five count for the win.

Marc Lowrance is with “Playboy” Gary Hart and Gino Hernandez
Lowrance, “With me are Gary Hart and Gino Hernandez. Gentlemen, Gino meets Iceman King Parsons for a chance to enter the American Heavyweight Championship tournament at the Parade of Champions. Iceman King Parsons is no pushover.”
Hart, “That’s right kid, he isn’t. Gino and myself are not taking him kightly. We increased our training to prepare for this match. We know it will be a challenge, but we expect to win today, and go to Texas Stadium, and we want Kerry Von Erich when we get there.”
Hernandez, “I will be your Champion!”
Lowrance, “Gino vs. Iceman, later in the program.”

The Kansas Jayhawks vs. The Guerrero Brothers
This is a rematch from a few weeks ago. The Guerrero’s are still carrying the Mexican flag with “Alamo Busters” stitched on it. Mantel and Jaggers have looked very good. They rough up the Guerrero’s, but Chavo and Hector counter with underhanded tactics. They go back and forth until Jaggers hits the Hangman on Hector. Referee David Manning counts the fall.
Winners-Kansas Jayhawks
Marc Lowrance is with Iceman King Parsons.
Lowrance, “With us is the Iceman. Ice, today you meet Gino Hernandez with a chance to go to Texas Stadium.”
Parsons, “Have mercy! Gino Hernandez, you got a big mouth, oh you’re good, yes you are, but you ain’t that good! You ain’t better than the Iceman! I got all these fans in Texas, and all over the country behind me! I’m beating you, and going to the tournament, ‘cause Mama says it bees that way sometime,
Lowrance, “The Iceman takes on Gino Hernandez!”

The One Man Gang w/“Playboy” Gary Hart vs. Al Madril
The huge Gang has been a great find for Gary Hart. Madril, the veteran from Los Angeles, will be a good test. Madril is smart, and he stays away from the Gang. Hart shouts instructions from ringside. Madril runs out of gas, and the Gang wins with the 747 splash.

Qualifying Match
Gino Hernandez w/“Playboy” Gary Hart vs. Iceman King Parsons
This is what the people have been waiting for. Parsons sime# to the ring first, and the Sportatorium crowd goes crazy. Next comes Hernandez and the “Playboy”. The cheers turn to boos. David Manning is your referee. The bell rings and we are underway. Parsons is ready for action, but Gino stalls. He is trying to frustrate Iceman. Parsons picks up the pace, and he is in control. Hernandez fights back, and this is a pier six brawl. Hart is able to distract Parsons, and Gino catches him with an elbow drop. Manning counts the fall! We have our fourth wrestler!
Winner-Gino Hernandez
Bill Mercer closes the show.
Mercer, “We have our tournament, Jimmy Garvin, Chris Adams, Kerry Von Erich, and now Gino Hernandez! Next week, we will find out the first round pairings. We will also find out if Boris Zhukov, and Skandor Akbar will accept the Hacksaw Man’s Challenge. We also have a fantastic, six man, main event, Gino Hernandez, the Great Kabuki, and the One Man Gang, will take on Mike, Kevin, and Kerry Von Erich! Don’t miss it!”
