QUARTERFINAL MATCH FOR THE WWU WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
IVAN PUTSKI + SD JONES V NIKOLAI VOLKOFF + BARON VON RASCHKE w/Larry Sharpe
The Monster Factory quickly tries to dominate the smaller yet very strong men with their size, but the fans thrill as Polish Power and Special Delivery quickly battle back with counter moves and punches, and quickly this match turns into a lot of back and forth brawling and tests of strength. But at the 10 minute mark, Volkoff catches Jones with a Russian Bear Hug, and then slams him, tags out to Raschke who slaps on the CLAW, as Volkoff and Putski battle, the ref calls the match as Jones cannot break the claw at 10:20 the Moster Factory will advance!

Steve: “Fans, what an exciting tag team match we just saw, but one that just does not leave us with enough time for more action but I think you’ll want to stick around as we welcome Houston Legend SUPERSOCK JOSE LOTHARIO and his protégé Sam Houston!
As Jose speaks in a chair with Sam standing behind him, highlights are shown of Joe and Sam working out in the ring, plus highlights from his DARK MATCH WIN last week at Gilley’s!
Jose: “Bill Watts, I agree with your sentiments over the past few weeks about how terribly the sport of wrestling has been treated by the Government of the United States. But let me tell you the FUTURE of the sport is in great hands. I knew that when I ran into this young man right here. Sam Houston stands over 6 foot five inches and throws the meanest dropkick I have ever seen. I am pleased to take this kid under my wing, and yes, we will form a tag team and contend for the World Tag Team Championship in the final quarterfinal match, next week right here on Championship Wrestling from Houston.
Steve: “Sam, what does it mean to you to be mentored by a legend like this man, Jose Lothario?
Sam: “Let me tell Mister Stacks and Mister Watt, ah am fired up, ah can’t wait to show the fans here in the great city of Houston what ah can do, and ah am so privileged to catch the eye of the great Jose Lothario, ah can’t wait to hit the ring and show the fans that Sam Houston and Jose Lothario are hotter than a two dollar pistol!
Bill: “You have to appreciate this young man’s enthusiasm, Jose!

Jose: “Haha, yes, and I have to admit it’s a task to reign that enthusiasm in, but that’s what I like about this young man: he reminds me of ME when I first started, but unlike my early years, there was no one to reign me in, I had to learn the hard way how to properly channel my energy and I think Bill Watts this new generation of up and coming wrestlers truly benefit from us veterans because unlike us, they now have our generation to show them the ropes and I can’t wait to see how Sam Houston fares in his first challenge: tagging with me in a tournament to go after those World Tag team championships!
Steve: “Fans, it’s these men, the SUPERSOCK JOSE LOTHARIO and The Two Dollar Pistol Sam Houston as they take on . . . well this IS a challenge indeed: CYCLONE NEGRO AND KENDO NAGASAKI next week right here on this very program!
