Fritz Von Erich, and Bill Mercer, are seated in the studio.
Mercer, “Fritz, the wrestling world just went through a shakeup.”
Fritz, “You can say that again Bill. I think it’s going to make professional wrestling even better. Now fans all over the country can see Texas wrestling.”
Mercer, “We’ve had a name change, we are now ‘American Championship Wrestling’, and this TV program will be broadcast all over the country.”
Fritz, “America, and the World, can now see the product Texans have enjoyed for years.”
Mercer, “We have a big show coming up, Fritz, tell us about it.”
Fritz, “We do Bill. On May 26, we will present the ‘David Von Erich Parade of Champions’ at Texas Stadium, the home of the Dallas Cowboys. We miss David terribly, and this is a way to pay tribute to him.”
Mercer, “I also know you have information on the titles that will be recognized by ACW.”
Fritz, “We will recognize the American Heavyweight Championship, and the American Tag Team Championship. They will both be decided at the Parade of Champions. Two tag teams will face off for the tag titles. Those teams will be announced in the coming days. In the weeks leading up to May 26, four wrestlers will qualify for a four man tournament. The winner will be the American Heavyweight Champion.”
Mercer, “That leads us to today’s show. The first of those qualifying matches will take place, Kerry Von Erich will take on Super Destroyer #1. We will,also see a main event featuring, ‘Gentleman’ Chris Adams vs. Gino Hernandez with Gary Hart.”
Fritz, “You know I’ll side with Kerry. I think he’s going to be the Champion.”
Mercer, “Let’s go to the ring and see Kevin Von Erich in action.”
Match #1
Kevin Von Erich vs. Dale Veasey
The elder Von Erich takes on the rugged Alaskan. Kevin starts fast, but Veasey puts up a good fight. Kevin takes over and wins with a flying body press.

The Road Warriors w/Paul Ellering vs. Skip Young and Johnny Mantell
The massive Road Warriors hit the ring. Young and Mantell are veterans, and know what to expect. Animal, and Hawk are at their vicious best. Young and Mantell put up a good fight, but the Warriors hit the doomsday device on Young for the win. This is an impressive team.

King Kong Bundy w/“General” Skandor Akbar vs. Mike Reed
Akbar leads the massive Bundy to the ring. The bell rings, and Mike Reed is n trouble. Bundy toys with him and wins with the avalanche.

Match #4
Mike Von Erich vs. Black Gordman
The youngest Von Erich takes on the veteran from New Mexico. Gordman uses every dirty trick in the book. This keeps Mike at bay for a time, but he rallies. Mikes uses a rolling reverse for the win.

Marc Lowrance is with Kerry Von Erich.
Lowrance, “With me is Kerry Von Erich. Kerry, things are changing quickly in wrestling. The American Heavyweight Title will be decided at Texas Stadium. Tonight, you can qualify for that tournament by beating Super Destroyer #1.”
Kerry, “That’s right Marc. It is new, and exciting! I want to be a Champion again, and I want to do it at Texas Stadium in honor of David. The first step is tonight!”
Lowrance, “Kerry meets Super Destroyer #1 today!”
Match #5
Hillbilly Jim vs. “Gorgeous” Jimmy Garvin w/Sunshine
The arrogant Garvin struts around the ring. Sunshine dotes over him. The bell rings and we are underway. Jim looks very sharp. Garvin takes to the floor and confers with Sunshine. Garvin takes over and wins with the brain buster.

Qualifying Match
Kerry Von Erich vs. Super Destroyer #1 w/Skandor Akbar
Plays and Kerry comes to the Sportatorium ring. Akbar and Super D await. The bell rings and they lock up. SD uses several illegal tactics to give him the number due. Akbar shouts instructions. Kerry is in trouble. The Dallas crowd gets behind Kerry and he rallies. Kerry lands rights and lefts. Kerry takes over and hits the discus punch. He covers the masked man and Bronko Lubich counts the fall. Kerry qualifies for the Parade of Champions!
Winner-Kerry Von Erich
Marc Lowrance is with Gino Hernandez and Gary Hart.
Lowrance, “With me are Gary Hart and Gino Hernandez. Mr. Hart, your man meets Chris Adams. This will be a thought test for Gino.”
Hart, “Marc Lowrance, you are a very smart young man. Christopher Adams is a fine wrestler. I have always said that. However, Gino is the best in the business. He will beat Adams tonight, he will qualify for the tournament at Texas Stadium, and he will beat, that Daddy’s boy, Kerry Von Erich fir the American Heavyweight Title. Take that to the bank Marc Lowrance.”
Hernandez, “I will be your Champion!”
Lowrance, “Gary Hart and Gino Hernandez, very confident as always.”
Match #7
“Gentleman” Chris Adams vs. Gino Hernandez w/“Playboy” Gary Hart
This is a main event in any arena in the country. Gino struts around the ring. Referee David Manning calls for the bell and we are underway. Adams starts fast. He is aggressive, and Gino is in retreat. He takes to the floor and confers with Hart. Gino returns and tries to slow the pace. He lures Adams into the corner. He lands a boot to the midsection. Now Hernandez is in control. He works over Chris. Hart is very confident. The two men pick up the pace., and the crowd goes crazy. Adams begins to take over, and Gino is in trouble. Suddenly, the Great Kabuki enters the ring. He spits green mist into Adams’ face. Chris is blinded. Manning calls for the bell. He disqualifies Hernandez. Kerry, Kevin, and Iceman come to check on Chris.
Winner-Chris Adams (Disqualification)
Bill Mercer closes the show.
Mercer, “What a debut for ‘American Championship Wrestling’! ACW will continue to present the best in wrestling action. Chris Adams will not take this lying down! Let’s talk about next week’s show. In a match that will determine one of the tag teams that will wrestle for the titles at the Parade of Champions, we will see two new tag teams, the Kansas Jayhawks meet the Guerrero Brothers. We will see a qualification match for the American Heavyweight Title tournament. ‘Gorgeous’ Jimmy Garvin meets.Brian Adias. Don’t miss it!”
