UWE is proud to announce that we have reached an agreement for a 60-minute show to air on ESPN on Friday nights at 9 PM. The show will feature taped matches from a card earlier in the week as well as interviews/promos. Mr. Gene Okerlund will serve as the shows host. We understand that this means we will be competing with Benson(ABC) and Dallas (CBS), but are hopeful we can hold our own.

An update on Global Wrestling Alliance TV. “Global Monday” now airs on the USA Network, Monday night from 8:00-10:00. Jim Ross and Jesse Ventura will host that program. “Global Championship Wrestling” will be an hour long program on USA Saturday night at 10:00 PM. It will be an “All American Wrestling” type program hosted by Vince McMahon. I’m not going to write that show on a weekly basis. At some point something important will happen on it, and I will write it.

I am probably going to release Andre the Giant soon. If anyone wants to pick him up, they are welcome to him, but I thought about making him a traveling attraction. What does everybody think?

The traveling attraction idea worked best in real life. It would probably be difficult to keep busy as a regular part of a roster for most promoters.

A new start for the USWA. I am expanding out of the "Memphis promotion" mode. Our new TV program will be "USWA Saturday Night Wrestling", premiering on The Nashville Network on October 10 in the 9:30-11:00 PM time slot. We will enter the pay per view market with "Thriller '86" on Halloween night, emanating from the Mid South Coliseum. Hey, a promotion with Jerry Lawler holding the World CHampionship can't abandon Mempho completely!

Great card here. Hope that the field works together to dump Andre and Bundy and give the others a chance to shine. Eddie Gilbert is my emotional fav there. Piper vs. Bock is going to be a clash of styles I will be invested in from the opening bell. Can the egos of Rude and Adams co-exist? Interested to see how much and how well.
Tuning in for sure.

I am expanding into the United Wrestling Alliance. We will be attempting to cover the Western US and parts of Canada. Our flagship program will be UWA FURY and it will air on Sundays at 9 p.m. We will do Clash type specials on USWA as well and PPVs. Portland Wrestling will continue to air as a program consisting of taped matches, focusing mainly on guys I have been featuring in the last several months such as Billy Jack, etc. Don Coss wil host this. The syndication will expand to most markets in the Western US and several Canadian markets. The syndicated show will be called UWA Big Time Wrestling and Lee Marshall will host. The format will be similar to All American Wrestling or the NWA Power Hour.I will post UWA FURY each week, but usually won't post the Portland or syndicated show.

Two questions...
1. What happens to the long inactive promotions?
2. Is there a backstory here as to the formation of the place? IE did the real life promotions break up or go out of business?
