Monsoon, “Welcome to the ‘Royal Rumble’! Jess, what a night we have!”
Ventura, “That’s right Gino, there is a lot going on!”
Monsoon, “We have the ‘Royal Rumble’ match itself, Jess, who’s going to win?”
Ventura, “Monsoon, there are a lot of guys who could win, but I’m going with Bad News, a match like this is made for him.”
Monsoon, “That’s a good pick, but I’m going with size, I’m picking Andre the Giant.”
Ventura, “Good pick, but what about the Tag Title Match, can Sherri lead them to the title?”
Monsoon, “I don’t like this one bit! Sherri will be a disaster!”
Ventura, “I don’t think so, she can lead them to the titles.”
Monsoon, “Let’s get things started with the Japanese ladies.”
Match #1
Six Women Tag Team Match
Chigusa Nagoya and the Marine Wolves vs. Lioness Asuka and the Fire Jets
The Nagoya-Asuka rivalry has roped in two of the best Tag teams in Japan. The Marine Wolves, Akira Hokuto, and Sizuka Minami, and the Fire Jets, Mitsuko Nishiwaki, and Yumiko Hotta, are two young and hungers teams in wrestling. The bell rings, and the action starts. Joey Marella has his hands full. Minami, and Hotta go at it tooth, and nail, as do Hokuto, and Nishiwaki. They all go back and forth, but here’s what everyone has been waiting for, Crush Girl vs. Crush Girl. If possible, The action gets even faster. Finally, Asuka hits the K-driller (reverse piledriver) for the win. What a match!
Winners-Lioness Asuka and the Fire Jets
Match #2
Intercontinental Championship
“Ravishing” Rick Rude (Champion) w/Bobby “The Brain” Heenan vs.. Billy Jack Haynes
These two strong men have gone at it several times, with Rude managing to hold onto the title. They lock up, and we are underway. Haynes grabs a side headlock, and begins to grind away at the Champion. Rude shoots Billy into the ropes, and drops him with a shoulder tackle. He then puts the boots to Billy. Heenan looks pleased at ringside. Haynes manages to get back to his feet. He goes right after Rude, and we have a brawl. Billy has the momentum. He lands rights, and lefts. Now Rude is in retreat. Haynes traps Rick in the corner, and begins to work him over. Now Heenan is worried. Haynes tosses Rude out of the corner. As Rude struggles to his feet, Haynes slaps in the full Nelson. Rude begins to struggle. Heenan enters and attacks Haynes. Referee Earl Hebner calls for the bell. He disqualifies Rude. Henan and his man look very pleased with themselves. In the confusion, WWF Official Tony Garea comes to the ring. He takes the mic.
Garea, “Bobby Heenan, and Rick Rude, you got yourselves intentionally disqualified! WWF President Jack Tunney has decreed that you will be stripped of the Intercontinental Title, and the Title will be declared vacant!”
Heenan, and Rude, are incensed. They argue, and threaten Garea.
Garea, “Heenan, Rude, if you touch me, you will be fined $100,000, and suspended for one year! The WWF will announce, in the coming days, what will happen with the Title.”
Winner-Billy Jack Haynes (Disqualification, Title declared vacant)
Gorilla Monsoon, and Jesse Ventura are in the announce position.
Monsoon, “What do you think Jess, the ‘Brain’s’ plan backfired!”
Ventura, “Just another example of Jack Tunney throwing his weight around, and trying to be a big shot!”
Monsoon, “We will have to see what the decision will be with the Intercontinental Title. Our next match features two veterans of the mat wars. Let’s go to Sean Mooney with Frenchy Martin, and ‘Headbanger’ Jos LeDuc.”
Sean Mooney is with Martin, and LeDuc.
Mooney, “With me are Frenchy Martin, and his man, ‘Headbanger’ Jos LeDuc. Mr. LeDuc, you have set your sights on the ‘Common Man’ Dusty Rhodes, even going as so far as attacking his son. Why?”
LeDuc, “That punk kid, that test tube baby, he stuck his nose into my business, and he got what he deserved! I’ve chased Dusty Rhodes all up and down the roads of America! That coward, like all Americans, kept running, but I’ve got him now! Tonight the ‘American Dream’ ends!”
Martin, “Dusty Rhodes is a fat coward! The’Headbanger’ will destroy him tonight, and Canada will prove superior to the USA!”
Mooney, “Let’s go to ‘Mean’ Gene Okerlund. He is with the ‘American Dream’!”
“Mean” Gene Okerlund is with Dusty Rhodes, and his son, Dustin.
Okerlund, “With me are Dusty Rhodes, and his son Dustin. Dusty, your son has been thrust into a vicious feud that has gone in for years, what about Tonight?”
Dusty, “Listen ‘Mean Gene’, my son is a man, just like the ‘Dream’! He came to help me, and he held his own. Tonight, big old Jos LeDuc pays the price! We’ve battled before, in Florida, in Georgia, in Canada, all over the World! Tonight, I teach that fat, old Canadian a lesson! And it starts now!”
Match #3
“The Common Man” Dusty Rhodes w/Dustin Rhodes vs. “Headbanger” Jos LeDuc w/Frenchy Martin
Martin and LeDuc argue with referee Tim White about Dustin at ringside. White allows him to stay. The bell rings, and we are underway. Rhodes is very aggressive. He backs LeDuc into a corner. Jos fights his way out. The man from the Northwest Territories is very aggressive. Dusty is in some trouble. Dustin, and the fans, get behind the ‘Dream’. He takes over and wins with the big elbow. Martin tries to attack Dusty from behind, but Dustin cuts him off, and decks him! What a night for the Rhodes family!
Winner-Dusty Rhodes
We see highlights of the “Body Shop” where Randy Savage brings out Sensational Sherri. We then see “Mean” Gene Okerlund with Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Miss Elizabeth, and Sensational Sherri.
Okerlund, “With me are tonight’s challengers. Gentlemen, Tonight is your first big match with your co-managers. Are you ready for the challenge?”
Savage, “Mean Gene Okerlund, how can you ask that question? Look at us, the WWF Champion, and the Hulkster, plus the lovely Miss Elizabeth, and Sensational Sherri, the ‘secret weapon’!”
Okerlund, “What about you Hulkster?”
Hogan, “You know something…”
Sherri interrupts.
Sherri, “Hulkster is with us! We are going to be the Champions, no one can stop us!”
Hogan, “Let me tell you something, Sensational Sherri, we got to this spot without you! We don’t need you, we’ve got the lovely Miss Elizabeth, we don’t need you!”
Okerlund, “There appears to be desertion in the ranks, this doesn’t sound good!”
Match #4
WWF Tag Team Championship
The Powers of Pain w/Bobby “The Brain” Heenan vs. Hulk Hogan and “Macho Man” Randy Savage w/Miss Elizabeth and Sensational Sherri
All eyes will be on Sherri, and how she interacts with Hogan, but you can’t ignore Heenan’s Champions. They are monsters. The match begins with the “Macho Man”and the Barbarian in the ring. Savage starts fast. He is the best in the World, and it shows. He moves quickly, and has the Barbarian in retreat. Savage tries to shoot Savage into the corner, but the big man reverses it, and Randy crashes into the turnbuckles. Sherri tries to climb up on the apron. Elizabeth tries to pull her back. This distracts Sherri, and she argues with Elizabeth. The Barbarian continues the attack, and tags in The Warlord. The massive man pounds away. Savage begins to fight back. He throws rights and lefts, and is able to tag in the “Hulkster”. The legendary Hogan goes to work on the Warlord. Heenan shouts instructions from ringside. Sherri leads the cheers for Hogan. Elizabeth ignores her. Heenan distracts referee Earl Hebner. This allows the Barbarian to enter the ring followed by Savage. We have a pier six brawl. Hebner tries to get Between Savage and the Barbarian. With the referee distracted, Sherri slides a steel chair into the ring. The camera doesn't pick this up. Hogan doesn’t see it. The Warlord grabs the chair, and decks the Hulkster. He goes down like a ton of bricks. The Warlord covers him. Hebner turns to see this, and counts 1...2...3! The Champions retain their Titles. Sherri and Elizabeth enter the ring. Hogan is struggling to his feet, and Savage wants to know what happened. Sherri panics. She blames Elizabeth. “The First Lady of Wrestling” begs Savage to listen. Hogan is able to get between the three of them, and play peacemaker. This isn’t over.
Winners-The Powers of Pain
Gorilla Monsoon, and Jesse Ventura, are in the announce position.
Monsoon, “Jess, I told you Sherri was trouble!”
Ventura, “What are you talking about? Elizabeth made the mistake, Sherri explained it!”
Monsoon, “What are you talking about, Sherri tossed the chair in the ring!”
Ventura, “How do you know, did you see it?”
Monsoon, “Elizabeth wouldn’t do that! Let’s move on. The ‘Royal Rumble’ is next. To remind you, two men strat in the ring. Then every two minutes a new man enters. The only way to be eliminated is to be tossed over the top rope, and to the floor. The last in the ring is the winner. My money is on Andre.”
Ventura, “I’m still going with Bad News!”
Monsoon, “Here we go!”
