We see the Von Erich Brothers.
Kerry, “Powers of Pain, come get these titles, if you can!”
Kevin, “We’ve been the Champions for a long time, and we’re not giving them up!”
We see Bobby “The Brain” Heenan and the Powers of Pain.
Heenan, “Listen you dumb Texas hicks, my Powers of Pain are an unstoppable force, those titles belong to us!”
We see Big John Studd.
Studd, “I’m back in the WWF, and I have unfinished business, and I start settling tonight!”
We see Jesse “The Body” Ventura.
Ventura, “Tonight, ‘The Body Shop’ returns, the Macho Man has a surprise, I’ll get to the bottom of things!”
Vince McMahon, and Jesse “The Body” Ventura open the show.
McMahon, “Jesse, we are back on NBC with a fantastic show!”
Ventura, “Ratings are going through the roof, the ‘Body Shop’ is back! The Macho Man says he has a surprise, I’m the one to get to the bottom of this!”
McMahon, “So, you’re playing Rona Barrett again.”
Ventura, “Watch it McMahon!”
McMahon, “We have two title matches, the Intercontinental Title is up for grabs when we return!”
Match #1
Intercontinental Championship
“Ravishing” Rick Rude (Champion) w/Bobby “The Brain” Heenan vs. Billy Jack Haynes
Two powerhouses meet in the opener. Rude takes the mic.
Rude, “What I’d like to have right now is for all you Rhode Island chicken pluckers to shut your mouths and let your women feast their eyes on a real man!”
The Providence crowd boos loudly. The bell rings and the two strongmen lock up. Things go Haynes’ way early. Heenan is worried. He shouts instructions. Rude rallies. He tries to rough up Billy. Both men end up on the arena floor. They slug it out. Referee Joey Marella begins to count. At eight, Rude dives back in the ring. Marella reaches ten before Haynes can get back in the ring. The Champion has outsmarted the Challenger.

We see “Mean” Gene Okerlund seated in front of a “Royal Rumble” banner.
Okerlund, “Fans, Sunday night, January 28, The WWF presents the ‘Royal Rumble’! We will be at the Boston Garden, and on Pay per View. A limited number of seats remain, but you can see all the action on Pay per View. Contact your local provider.
Vince McMahon is in the announce position.
McMahon, “Jesse Ventura has made his way to the ring for “The Body Shop”. Let’s go To Jesse.”
We see Ventura in the ring.
Ventura, “Welcome to, ‘The Body Shop’, the place where I get to the bottom of things and answer the tough questions. The Macho Man says he has a big surprise, I’m here to find out what it is. Let’s bring out Randy Savage, Miss Elizabeth, and Hulk Hogan,”
Down the aisle come Savage, Elizabeth, and Hogan. They enter the ring.The Providence crowd goes crazy.
Ventura, “Let’s get right to the point. Macho Man, I think you’re a great wrestler, but I stand by my feeling that you’re making a mistake hanging around this loser!”
Hogan, “Listen to me Jesse Ventura, you washed up, never was! The Macho Man, and the Hulkster are tight, we’re together, and with the lovely Miss Elizabeth, we’re at the top of the wrestling world!”
Ventura, “A lot of talk from a windbag! Let’s get to the point, Savage, you told everyone you had a big surprise, let’s hear it!”
Savage, “Jesse Ventura, I don’t like, no I don’t, but you do get to the point, and that’s why I’m here, yes I am! Like the Hulkster said, we are at the top, yes we are! That means everyone wants a piece of us! We have Miss Elizabeth, the lovely Miss Elizabeth, and she’s our motivation, yes she is! We have so much going on, we need more help. We need a second manager, two wrestlers, two managers!”
Hogan, “Macho Man, what are you talking about? Elizabeth is the best in the business, we don’t need anyone else!”
Savage, “Hear me out, hear me out! Elizabeth does her part, but there’s more to do, and here’s who going to do it...Sensational Sherri,”
“Sensational” Sherri Martel comes down the aisle.
Hogan, “No! Randy no!”
Sherrie climbs into the ring and hugs the Macho Man.
Ventura, “Sensational Sherri! This is a shocker, but I like it!”
Savage, “Sherri, you’re a wrestler, and very smart, yes you are! You can’t beat us now, no you can’t!”
Hogan, “Randy, she’s a cheater, she’s not honest! We don’t want her around,”
Sherri, “Listen Hogan, Randy trusts me, you need to listen to him!”
Hogan, “No way…”
Savage, “Settle down Hulkster, now Sherri has a surprise for you!”
Ventura, “Another surprise?!”
Sherri, “That’s right, I was in the back negotiating. I signed a contract for you two to wrestle at the Royal Rumble on January 28, you two are going to team up, and Challenge the Von Erichs for the Tag Team Championship!”
Savage, “Ohhhh Yeaaaa! The WWF Tag Team Champions, The Macho Man, and the Hulkster!”
Hogan, “Randy, Randy, the Von Erichs are our friends, and besides, you’re the Champion, we have other things to worry about!”
Sherri, “Trust me, I know what I’m doing, we’re going to be Champions, trust me!”
Ventura, “What a bombshell! I can’t wait for the Royal Rumble.”
Match #2
WWF Tag Team Championship
The Von Erich Brothers (Champions) vs. The Powers of Pain w/Bobby “The Brain” Heenan
We now know the Von Erichs will face Hulk Hogan, and Randy Savage, at the Royal Rumble. That is, if they survive tonight. Kerry and the Warlord open the contest. It’s a battle of strength. The Warlord holds his own, and he takes control. Kerry is in trouble, but he rallies. He lands rights, and lefts and tags in Kevin. The elder Von Erich continues the attack. Heenan shouts instructions. The Warlord tags in the The Barbarian. He and Kevin slug it out. The crowd gets louder and louder. Both are near the ropes. The Barbarian slams Kevin. He goes for the cover. Heenan reaches in and grabs Kevin’s leg. He can’t kick out! Referee Earl Hebner does not see this. He counts three, we have new tag team champions! The Von Erichs argue, and Heenan and his men celebrate!
Winners-The Powers of Pain (New WWF Tag Team Champions)
Vince McMahon, and Jesse Ventura are in the announced position.
McMahon, “Jesse, what a robbery!”
Ventura, “Hey, Heenan’s paid to help his men. That’s what he did!”
McMahon, “So now, it’s the Powers of Pain vs. Hogan, and Savage, with Sherri.”
Ventura, “That’s one I don’t want to miss!”
Match #4
Big John Studd vs. Barry Horowitz
Big John Studd has returned to the WWF. There seems to be controversy over his relationship with, his former manager, Bobby Heenan. Horowitz is a great wrestler, and he holds his own. Studd is too much, and overpowers Horowitz. He locks on the bear hug, and Horowitz submits. Referee Joey Marella raises Studd’s hand. Just then, Bobby Heenan enters the ring. He takes the mic.
Heenan, “What a great victory! John, you look better than ever! We can go back to the top, you, and me!”
Studd grabs the mic.
Studd, “Listen to me, your Weasel! You stole money from me! You held me back, you almost ruined my career!”
Studd grabs Heenan.
Heenan, “Hold on, hold on…”
Someone is in the ring. It’s Hercules! He smashes Studd with his chain. Studd goes down, and Hercules is all over him!
Heenan, “There you go, you loser! I wouldn’t manage you for all the money in the World. Hercules just destroyed you!”

Match #4
The Conquistadors vs. ?
The masked men wait in the ring.
The British Bulldogs are back! The crowd goes crazy. The Bulldogs have not missed a beat. They tag in, and out, and dominate the action. Davey Boy Smith uses a powerslam on #2 for the win. The Bulldogs are very impressive.
Winners-The British Bulldogs
Vince McMahon, and Jesse “The Body” Ventura close the show.
McMahon, “Jesse, what a night! New tag team champions, and the British Bulldogs are back!”
Ventura, “Yea McMahon, but what about Sensational Sherri co-managing Hogan, and Savage?”
McMahon, “I don’t like it, and the Hulkster doesn’t like it!”
Ventura, “You’re both too dumb to see a good thing!”
McMahon, “I don’t think so! We’ll see you in the spring for ‘Saturday Night’s Main Event’!”
