Vince McMahon, and Jesse “The Body” Ventura open the show.
McMahon, “Welcome to ‘Superstars’! Jesse, we are one week away from ‘Saturday Night’s Main Event’. It’s going to be a big night!”
Ventura, “McMahon, there is so much going on in the WWF right now, I want to hear from the ‘Macho Man’, and the ‘Chumpster’. I still don’t think they’re on the same page!”
McMahon, “They will both be in the ‘Snake Pit’ today, we will get to the bottom of things.”
Match #1
Lanny Poffo vs. Gino Carabello
The athletic Poffo goes to work. Lanny goes to work with his high flying tactics. Carabello puts up a good fight, but Poffo wins with a moonsault.

Rick Rude (Intercontinental Champion) w/Bobby “The Brain” Heenan vs. Calypso Jim
The Champion looks good, but he has several top contenders on his trail. Jim starts fast. He has Rude in retreat, and Heenan is worried. Rude rallies, and his ability takes over. He hits the Rude awakening for the win.
Winner-Rick Rude
“Mean” Gene Okerlund is seated at the “Saturday Night’s Main Event” control desk.
Okerlund, “Fans, we are one week away from ‘Saturday Night’s Main Event”! The WWF returns to network television on Saturday night January 6 on NBC at 11:30. Some of the best action in the WWF takes place on this show. We know of two title matches scheduled for the show. ‘Ravishing’ Rick Rude defends the Intercontinental Championship against Billy Jack Haynes. The WWF Tag Team Titles are up for grabs as the Champions, the Von Erich Brothers, take on the Powers of Pain. We also know the this man is returning to the WWF.”
We see Big John Studd standing in an interview area.
Studd, “I’m coming back to the WWF to clean up some unfinished business. I was at the top of the sport, and that’s where I’m heading again, i don’t care who is in my way, I’m going to the top, and no one is stopping me!”
Okerlund, “Big John Studd returns, but is he with Bobby Heenan? Both men seem to be evading the question. We will find out on January 6!”

Bad News Brown vs. Chris Carter
The vicious Bad News takes on the popular Carter. Brown goes right after Carter. He is one of the most aggressive men in the sport. Brown punches, kicks and stomps away. Carter tries to mount an offensive, but Bad News is too much. He uses the ghetto blaster for the win.

The Von Erich Brothers (WWF Tag Team Champions) vs. Joe Mirto and Jerry Allen
The Champions have looked unbeatable, but they have the Powers of Pain to deal with at “Saturday Night’s Main Event”. Kerry starts for the Von Erichs, Allen for his side. Both men are powerful, and Allen looks good. Kerry tak s Control, and tags in his older brother. Kevin continues to control the action. Mirto tags in, but he has no chance. Kevin hits a flying body press for the win.
Winners-The Von Erich Brothers
We see the “Snake Pit” set. Jake “The Snake” Roberts walks out.
Roberts, “Wrestling is filled with alliances, changing alliances. Your friend on Monday, may be your enemy on Friday. Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan are at the top of their games. They’re powerful together, but can they get along? I’ll find out today.”
Randy Savage, Miss Elizabeth, and Hulk Hogan come out.
Roberts, “Let’s get right to the point. You two seem to be on the same page now, but it hasn’t always looked like it. What’s going on?”
Hogan, “Let me tell you something Jake Roberts, Hulk Hogan, and Randy Savage, are the most powerful force in wrestling! We can’t be stopped! The ‘!Mania’, and the ‘Madness’ are on the move! Whatcha’ gonna’ do when we coming running over you!”
Savage, “Brothers in the ring, that’s what we are, Brothers! Hulk Hogan stood by me, and I stand by him, yes I do! The competition is tough, yes it is, but we’re ready for it!”
Hogan, “That’s right…”
Savage, “I’m not finished yet. ‘Saturday Night’s Main Event’, January 6, it’s going to be a big night!”
Roberts, “Yes it is my man.”
Savage, “The Macho Man has a big surprise!”
Hogan, “What surprise?”
Savage, “The biggest! Hulk Hogan you don’t know what it is! Jake Roberts, you don’t know! Even Miss Elizabeth doesn’t know! At ‘Saturday Night’s Main Event’ The Macho Man is going to surprise the whole WWF!”
Roberts, “That is big news, the ‘Snake Pit’ gives you all the answers.”
Match #5
Billy Jack Haynes vs. Jose Estrada
The popular man from Oregon gets a shot at the Intercontinental Title at “Saturday Night’s Main Event”. Today he meets the wily veteran. Estrada adopts a hit and run game plan. It works for a time. Billy mounts a comeback. And wins with the full Nelson.

Match #6
The Rougeau Brothers w/Frenchy Martin vs. The Bushwhackers
This will be a wild one. Joey Marella will try to control the action. Luke and Jacques open the contest. Jacques attempts to wrestle, but Luke is more interested in brawling. The Bushwhacker is in control. He works over Rougeau, and Frenchy Martin is livid. Raymond tags in, and tries his hand. He is able to gain control of the action. Luke tags his Cousin, and Butch enters. The action goes back and forth. All four men end up on the ring. Marella tries to get Luke out of the ring. This allows Martin to toss his cane to Raymond. Rougeau decks Butch and covers him. Marella turns to see this, and counts three. This is a miscarriage of justice!
Winners-The Rougeau Brothers
Vince McMahon, and Jesse Ventura close the program.
McMahon, “Jesse, that was outrageous!”
Ventura, “All’s Fair in professional wrestling!”
McMahon, “Well, next week is ‘Saturday Night’s Main Event’, what’s the Macho Man’s surprise?”
Ventura, “I can assure you, we’ll get to the bottom of this.”
McMahon, “Why?”
Ventura, “Because The Macho Man is going to announce his surprise on a special edition of the ‘Body Shop’...hosted by me!”
McMahon, “What!? The ‘Body Shop’!”
Ventura, “That’s right, the place to get the truth about the WWF!”
McMahon, “Truth, you and the truth? I don’t think so. Well, tune in to NBC and find out!”
