MERCER: Welcome to another great program of World Class Championship Wrestling coming to you directly from the world famous Sportatorium! This week, we have a great opening match as Steve Simpson wrestles Chris Champion of the New Breed! Ron Garvin will take on Doug Gilbert! In a preview of the big bullrope match at labor Day Star Wars, Kendall Windham will take on Terry Funk! No bullrope in this one, though! The Patriot will team up with “Ragin Bull” Manny Fernandez to take on Devastation, Inc.'s Russian combination of Boris Zhukov & Nikolai Volkoff! Our Main Event this week will be for the Texas Championship as “Latin Heartthrob” Al Perez defends against Brad Armstrong! It all adds up to a sensational hour of wrestling excitement! Our first match is in the ring!
Steve Simpson vs. Chris Champion (w/Gary Hart): Two men who have feuded over the American Tag Team Titles go at it one on one. These two outstanding young athletes are evenly matched and ten minutes isn't enough to decide the better man. The all action bout ends in a draw.

Ron Garvin vs. “Dangerous” Doug Gilbert(w/Eddie Gilbert & Missy Hyatt): Despite tons of distraction and interference from Eddie and Missy, Garvin scores a hardfought win, pinning Doug after a big right hand. After the room, Eddie enters the ring and has a staredown with the man who will challenge him for the American Title at Labor Day Star Wars!

Labor Day Star Wars is coming up and, if you have the guts, I want you woman to woman in the ring! Do you have the guts!(holds up a document) Here's the contract! If you're any kind of woman, you'll sign it!

MERCER: Labor Day Star Wars is coming to the Tulsa Convention Center and it's shaping up to be one of the best cards ever, Fritz! Let's look at the matches signed thus far:

FRITZ (handing contact to Missy) You can look that over and have your attorney review it...
EDDIE: We don't need to do that! Look at Missy! She's the perfect woman! She's in the prime of her life! Sunshine has seen her better days! She's looking really rough these days! Missy can take her easy!
MISSY: That's right! Easy!(signs contract and hands it to Fritz)
FRITZ: You shouldn't have done that! Never sign something without reading it, young lady!
MISSY: I don't need business advice from a senile old man! (Missy and Eddie stalk off)
FRITZ: You make the announcements, Bill. (sighs) Look that over and add that match to the card...
Bill studies the contract for a minute. Then he smiles at the camera.
BILL: Not only will the match between Missy Hyatt and Sunshine take place in a pit of mud, the loser of the match will have to leave World Class for a period of not less than six months! It always pays to read the contract before you sign it!
FRITZ: Maybe, this senile old man is worth listening to, folks!
BILL: No doubt about it! We'll be back after these commercial messages!

Terry Funk vs. Kendall Windham: This is a preview of the upcoming match at Labor Day Star Wars. This is an all out brawl. Eddie Gilbert comes to ringside after about five minutes and his interference leads to Funk pinning Windham!

The Patriot & “Ragin Bull” Manny Fernandez vs. Boris Zhukov & Nikolai Volkoff (w/General Skandor Akbar) : A common hatred of Devastation, Inc. brings the Bull and the masked man together this week. The climax of the bout comes when it breaks down into a pier six brawl. As referee Bronko Lubich attempts to get Volkoff and Patriot out of the ring, Fernandez hits the brainbuster on Zhukov and covers the Russian! With Lubich distracted, Buzz Sawyer comes to the ring, climbs to the top rope and drops a headbutt onto Fernandez. Sawyer then rolls the Bull of of Zhukov and puts Boris on top of Manny! Bronko finally separates Volkoff and Patriot and gets them out of the ring. He then sees Zhukov pinning Fernandez! (By now, Sawyer is almost back to the dressing room area) Lubich counts three and Devastation, Inc. steals one! Corporal Kirchner comes down to explain what happened to Lubich but to no avail! This will motivate the Patriot even more for Labor Day Star Wars and will add even more heat to the Sawyer/Fernandez program!

TEXAS TITLE MATCH: “Latin Heartthrob” Al Perez © (w/Gary Hart) vs. Brad Armstrong: Two evenly matched grapplers go at it in a seesaw match. We mostly see a technical match with some subtle heel work from Perez. The climax comes when an Armstrong dropkick misses Perez but hits referee Rick Hazzard in the chest and knocks him out of the ring! David Manning rushes in to take over the officiating. Outside the ring, Gary Hart manages to revive Hazzard and roll him back in. At that very moment, Perez hits a bridging German suplex on the challenger!Manning is counting on one side of the two wrestlers, Hazzard on the other! One..two...three! Both referees call for the bell! It looked like both men were pinned....Armstrong's shoulder came up, maybe not in time!
Look at this! Hazzard is lifting Perez's hand, but Manning is lifting Armstrong's hand and giving him the belt! Gary Hart is in the ring, yelling at Manning! Manning raises the arm of Armstrong again! Hazzard is disagreeing and seems to be arguing that Perez pinned Armstrong! Hart snatches the belt away from Armstrong! Manning snatches it back! Perez is threatening to slug Manning! Now, Hazzard and Manning are having a tug of war with the belt! Here comes WCCW President Fritz Von Erich! Fritz grabs the belt and holds it it the air! He asks for the mic...
FRITZ: The Texas Title is held up! Al Perez will wrestle Brad Armstrong for the held up title at Labor Day Star Wars!
Now, Gary Hart is fuming at Fritz, but Fritz tucks the belt under his arm and leaves the Sportatorium with it! Now, Hart has the house mic!
HART: It don't matter, people! Anybody who knows wrestling could see how Al handled this boy here tonight! Don't worry, Alex! Labor Day, that belt will be coming back home, brother!
MERCER: That certainly remains to be seen! Join us next week for a sensational six man Main Event!
