This week, you'll see Devastation, Inc.'s Russian team of Boris Zhukov & Nikolai Volkoff take on exciting English rookie Steven Regal & Skip Young. The former Airborne Ranger Corporal Kirchner will see action. The Patriot is really looking for revenge after what Devastation, Inc. did to him last week with that Russian flag and he'll take on the Warlord, Jonathan Boyd. Fabulous Blondes Brian Lee and Kevin Kelly will be here. Sid Vicious has a score to settle with the Blondes! Our Main Event today will be a real battle as the “Mad Dog”, Buzz Sawyer takes on “Ragin Bull” Manny Fernandez in a real battle of tough guys! That's all today on World Class Championship Wrestling!

Boris Zhukov & Nikolai Volkoff (w/General Skandor Akbar) vs. Steven Regal & Skip Young: The Soviets ask the fans to rise for the singing of the Russian national anthem. The fans give them the Kapernick and chant “USA” in response. During the bout, the Patriot appears at ringside, waving Old Glory! The Russians are distracted by this and Young nearly takes a fall on Zhukov as a result! In the end, Boris hits a diving headbutt on Regal to score the pin.

MERCER: Recently, Doyle King visited the Headlocks Ranch, home of Blackjack Mulligan. Here's what occurred during that visit!
VTR:
Doyle King and Blackjack Mulligan are seated in what appears to be a living room. A gym bag is on the coffee table.
KING: Doyle King, on assignment here at the home of the legendary Blackjack Mulligan. I understand that Blackjack's son, Kendall Windham will join us I just a few moments.
MULLIGAN: That's right, Doyle. I got something here I want KW to see!
At that moment, Kendall Windham arrives!
WINDHAM: Hey, Dad, Doyle, what's up?
MULLIGAN: Son, when your brother was in town last month, he brought something that our ol' buddy Virgil thought we might have need of...(points to the gym bag on the coffee table) Open that up!
Windham, somewhat gingerly, opens the bag. He pulls out Dusty Rhodes' famous Texas Bullrope!
MULLIGAN: You say you want Terry Funk on Labor Day, well, a Funk has never beat a Rhodes or a Mulligan in a bullrope match, son!
WINDHAM: But, Dad, I've never been in a bullrope match!
MULLIGAN: You ain't too ignorant to learn! Here in a little while, I'll take you out in the barn and I'll teach you the ins and outs of a bullrope match! That no good Funk won't stand a chance! (to King) Doyle, you can stick around if you want to, but we can't let you see our family secrets!
(cut to Doyle standing outside of a barn)
KING: Folks, they've been in that barn for nearly two hours and I've heard Kendall screaming in pain and Blackjack yelling “Atta boy!” I'm anxious to talk with both father and son.
The barn door swings open. Blackjack walks out. He's bellding from a cut on his head, but he has a huge grin on his face.
KING: Here's Mulligan and he looks like he's been in a fight!
MULLIGAN: You're looking at a proud papa, Doyle King! I want everybody out in TV land to meet the newest master of the Texas bullrope match, Kendall Windham!
Kendall has the bullrope swung over his shoulder and he looks confident, verging on cocky even though he is covered with scrapes and cuts.
KENDALL: Terry Funk, I hope you are ready for the most bloody and brutal match in wrestling! I wanna thank Dusty Rhodes for the loan of his prized possession and I wanna thank my father for showing me how to use the bullrope!
Cut back to the Sportatorium, where Bill Mercer is joined by Fritz Von Erich.
FRITZ: Folks, that match has been signed for Star Wars on Labor Day at the Tulsa Convention Center! Kendall Windham vs. Terry Funk in a bullrope match! Don't forget that American Champion “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert is signed to defend the title against former champion Ronnie Garvin: No DQ! No countout! No time limit! There must be a winner! The Patriot has asked for a match with any Russian and he will take on big Nikolai Volkoff! I'm going to allow him to announce the stipulation after the next match here on our program this week!
MERCER: Doug Gilbert has joined us!
DOUG: Fritz, one thing my big brother taught me about you: A guy's gotta take the bull by the horns! I've signed an open contract for Labor Day Star Wars and I demand to know who my opponent is! It had better be somebody I can make a name against!
FRITZ: well, pardner, I promise you that if you can beat the man you'll wrestle on Labor Day, you'll be world famous! That's because he's an international superstar and a national hero in Japan! Look at the monitor!
DOUG: (rubbing hands together) This is the chance of a lifetime! I've got the guy who whipped Muhammad Ali!
FRITZ: I wouldn't get overconfident if I were you, young man!
Gilbert half walks, half struts away!
MERCER: I understand that the tag team belts will be at stake, too!
FRITZ: Bill, I've never seen anything quite like the tag team competition we have in World Class these days! The Nightmares are champions and, like them or not, a fantastic team! Their opponents will be two young men who do things that look impossible! I'm talking about Starfire and Scorpio!
MERCER: That's a match that I've really wanted to see since these two teams arrived in World Class! Right now, we have a match ready in the ring!
Corporal Kirchner vs, Phil Hickerson: The veteran Hickerson actually dominates the action by using a Tennessee chain to his advantage. Kirchner takes a beating, but scores a pin after an inside cradle.
After the match, the Patriot comes to ringside to join Kirchner and Mark Lowrance. The Patriot is carrying a flag of some sort, but it's not Old Glory...
MERCER: I'm here with the Patriot and Corporal Kirchner, who just scored a win over a very rugged opponent. I understand from Fritz, that the subject of this interview is Labor Day Star Wars!
PATRIOT: I've never been as humiliated in my life as I was last week when those lowlife Russians and that piece of garbage Akbar buried me under the flag of the Soviet Union! I went to the promotion and asked for a match with any of those jerks at Labor Day Star Wars! On Labor Day, in front of thousands of patriotic Oklahomans in Tulsa, it's the Russians' turn to be humiliated! No pinfalls, no submissions! No DQ or countout! (hands flag to Kirchner) Show 'em, Kirch!
Kirchner unfurls the flag...it's a white flag, the symbol of surrender!
KIRCHNER: I want the world to see the one thing they won't see in Tulsa!
Kirchner waves the white flag!
PATRIOT: Volkoff will have Zhukov in his corner with a white flag. In my corner, an American hero, Corporal Kirchner! Coward waves the flag! Can you imagine how humiliating it will be for your countryman to surrender for you because you can't handle the beating you're getting? Corporal, I don't care if he cuts my throat, don't you wave that flag!
KIRCHNER: No worries, buddy! The USA is going to stand tall!
LOWRANCE: I don't think I've ever heard of anything quite like this! Get your tickets now!

“Prime Time” Brian Lee & “Mr. Magnificent” Kevin Kelly (w/Buddy Roberts) vs. Manny Vialobos & Cousin Junior: Starts out as a comedy match with Cousin Junior and his hillbilly hijinks. When Manny tags in, the Blondes use their power advantage to take over. The fans start a “We Want Sid” chant, but to no avail as Kelly forces Vialobos to submit to his full nelson.
COMMERCIAL
The Patriot vs. “Warlord” Jonathan Boyd(w/Skandor Akbar): Boyd uses every dirty trick in the book and Akbar interferes liberally, but in the end, the Patriot gets the win, pinning Boyd after the Uncle Slam(full nelson slam) in a hard fought battle.
COMMERCIAL
“Ragin Bull” Manny Fernandez vs. “Mad Dog” Buzz Sawyer (w/Gary Hart): An all out war from the bell! After several minutes of hard hitting action, the bout spills out of the ring and the two brawlers fight up the aisle and out into the parking lot! Several referees and wrestlers manage to break it up! Bill Mercer says that this feud is far from over!

MERCER: We'll have another great program here next week with an outstanding main event with Al Perez defending his Texas Title against the sensational Brad Armstrong! That's just one of the great matches we'll have for you next week!
