Gorilla Monsoon, and Bobby “The Brain” Heenan open the show.
Monsoon, “Welcome to ‘Wrestling Challenge’! Brain, there is a lot going on in the World Wrestling Federation! What’s going with the ‘Hulkster’, and the ‘Macho Man’?”
Heenan, “Savage is starting to see what Hogan really is, a liar!”
Monsoon, “I don’t think so Brain. I think they’ll patch things up.”
Heenan, “Only if that bimbo Elizabeth gets involved. Someone needs to teach her how to make biscuits, and get her out of the ring.”
Monsoon, “That's an enlightened view. Let’s talk about our feature match, Dusty Rhodes takes on Jos LeDuc. That will be a brawl! Let’s go to the ring.”
Match #1
Jake “The Snake” Roberts vs. Barry Horowitz
Horowitz is a fine wrestler. He shows it, and gives Jake a good go. Roberts takes over, and wins with the DDT.

Non-Title Match
The Von Erich Brothers (WWF Tag Team Champions) vs. Jerry Allen and Jose Estrada
The Champions continue to ride high. They have fought off the Powers of Pain, will it continue. Kevin starts with Estrada. Jose is a game veteran, and he gives Kevin all he wants. Kevin takes over. He tags in Kerry. He punishes Estrada. Jose tags in Allen. He fares no better. Kerry finishes things with the tornado punch.
Winner-The Von Erich Brothers
Sean Mooney is seated in front of a “Saturday Night’s. Main Event” banner.
Mooney, “Hello Fans! January 6 is fast approaching. ‘Saturday Night’s Main Event” returns! Tune in at 11:30 Eastern for the best in wrestling action. We have two matches to announce. First of all, we have a man returning to the WWF. He is with this man.”
We see “Mean”Gene Okerlund with Big John Studd.
Okerlund, “With me is Big John Studd. Mr. Studd, why are you back in the WWF?”
Studd, “I dominated the WWF for a long time. I got bored by the competition. I travelled around the country, and beat everyone. Now I’m back, and I’m head for the top again.”
Okerlund, “Will you be reuniting with, your former manager, Bobby Heenan?”
Studd walks away, leaving Okerlund stunned.
Mooney, “That’s very interesting behavior by Mr. Studd. He will be in action on January 6. We will also have a WWF Tag Team Title Match. The Von Erich Brothers will defend the Titles against the Powers of Pain. Stay tuned for more information, and updates.”
Monsoon, “What’s going Brain, that’s your former wrestler? Did you know Studd was coming back?”
Heenan, “Well, I’m not one to talk, but I can tell you things are happening behind the scenes. All the I’s aren’t crossed, and t’s dotted...I mean…”
Monsoon, “You seem surprised, you didn’t know Studd was coming back, did you?”
Heenan, “Let’s go to the ring, it’s time for a match…”
Match #3
Virgil vs. Chris Carter
Virgil is without the “Million Dollar Man”. He goes right after Carter. New underestimate Virgil’s ability. He is quick, and lands rights, and lefts. Carter puts up a good fight, but Virgil ends things with a right cross, and covers Chris for the win.

The Rougeau Brothers w/Frenchy Martin vs. S.D. Jones and Calypso Jim
The Rougeaus remain a top contender for Tag Team Titles. Raymond starts with Jones. S.D. Starts fast. He confounds Raymond, and he takes to the floor and confers with his brother, and manager. He returns, and goes back to work. Things start to go his way. Raymond dominate# the action, and tags in Jacques. He has Jones in trouble. Calypso Jim. The man from the Caribbean starts fast, but Rougeau is too much. He and his brother use the Rougeau bomb for the win.
Winners-The Rougeau Brothers
“Mean” Gene Okerlund is with Dusty Rhodes.
Okerlund, “With me is the ‘American Dream’ Dusty Rhodes. Mr. Rhodes, you meet the ‘Headbanger’ today. Jos LeDuc attacked your son, and you came to his aid, are you distracted, and you ready for LeDuc?”
Rhodes, “Gene Okerlund, the ‘American Dream’, has been up and down the roads of this country. I’ve fought them all, and LeDuc, and I, crossed paths many times before. Now it’s personal! Don’t mess with man’s family, you’re going to Pay for it! Jos LeDuc, you may be the ‘Headbanger’, the ‘Common Man’ is gonna’ dance all over your head! You can take that to the bank!”
Okerlund, “Dusty Rhodes vs. Jos LeDuc in our main event!”
Match #5
Strike Force vs. Gino Carabello and Joe Mirto
Rick Martel, and Tito Santana have been. Sry successful, and the fans love them. The popular team tags in and out. Carabello and Mirto have their heads spinning. Martel gets a two count on Mirto, but he kicks out. Finally, Santana hits the flying forearm on Carabello for the win.

Match #6
“The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes vs. “Headbanger” Jos LeDuc
Two wrestling legends meet in this one. Rhodes starts fast, but the “Headbanger” retaliates, and we have a slugfest. Dusty back LeDuc into the corner, and pounds away. Martin is desperate. He distracts Dusty, and LeDuc gets in a big right hand. Now the big man from the Northwest Territories has the upper hand. LeDuc goes for a headbutt, but Rhodes blocks it. He drops Jos with a clothesline, and covers him. LeDuc kicks out at two. Martin argues with referee Earl Hebner. He claims a fast count. Both men end up continuing to brawl. Hebner counts, and reaches ten. He counts out both men. They have settled nothing.
Result-Double Count Out
Gorilla Monsoon, and Bobby Heenan close the show.
Monsoon, “Brain, I want to know about John Studd, are you going to manage him?”
Heenan, “Let’s talk about next week.”
Monsoon, “You are awfully evasive, aren’t you? You are right though, we have a huge match next week. The WWF Champion, The ‘Macho Man’ will be in action against Dino Bravo. Will Hulk Hogan be here? What is the state of their relationship? We may find out next week.”
