6/1/96 - Nassau Coliseum Uniondale, NYBuck Zumhoff and the Honky Tonk Man thank of for joining the original Rock 'N Roll broadcasting team for another exciting edition of ECW Weekend Warriors, tonight coming to you live from Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York! They have some great matches lined up for us tonight as The Killer Bees return to action for the first time in over a year as a team when they face "Team XTreme" The Hardy Boyz! And in a huge Main Event we'll see the third match in the ongoing Tournament to determine the # 1 contender for the Eastern States Title when "Captain Redneck" Dick Murdoch faces off against "The Leprechaun" Erin O'Grady! But first a return to action for fromer ECW Women's Champion Ivory!
Joel Gertner makes the intros while Danny Davis officiates all matchesMatch: Ivory vs. Velvet McIntyre Though the veteran Velvet McIntyre holds her own here, Ivory makes her return to ECW programming a successful one when she pins Velvet using the Moretti Driver. After the match ECW Correspondent Terri Runnels interviews Ivory in front of the ECW banner. After being bounced around by several promotions who had no interest in Women's wrestling, Ivory is glad to find herself back at Eastern Championship and hopes to be wearing the gold before long. Before the next match we're shown a replay of what happened this past Wednesday when "Jumping" Jim Brunzell cost Jeff Hardy his match against Brunzell's old tag-team partner B. Brian Blair. Tag-Team Match: The Killer Bees vs. The Hardy Boyz An annoying buzzing is heard as former ECW tag-team Champions The Killer Bees come down to the ring in their jackets. "Jumping" Jim Brunzell starts things out with Jeff Hardy and is quick to lose his ring rust. While they battle back and forth a video clip of the Hardy Boyz come up where Matt and Jeff tell us that for what happened this past Wednesday, it's time for the Bees to get a lesson in the Extreme! Brunzell and Jeff prove more than a match forever and after colliding in the middle of the ring they're both down and looking to make the tag. And they get it!
In come Matt Hardy and B. Brian Blair who trade several deep arm drags before Matt catches Blair off-guard and begins hammering away on him. He ends up trapping Blair in a chickenwing hold, but "THE Killer Bee" battles his way out and takes Hardy down with a dropkick before making the cover. And when that fails he locks in the Boston Crab. Matt refuses to submit however and Brian pulls him into the Killer Bee corner where him and Brunzell tag in and out working their opponent over before Hardy fights his way out and hits "Jumping" Jim with a side Russian legsweep before escaping across the ring and making the tag to Jeff!
A stunned Brunzell meanwhile tags in B. Brian Blair! He and Hardy battle it out for several more minutes before Blair ends up on the receiving end of the Swanton high-angle senton bomb and Jeff Hardy picks up the win for his team.
After the match we're taken to a video clip featuring snippets from matches that took place this past Wednesday on the main show. We see Joe E. Legend tap out to Matt Borne's Stump Puller, "Too Cool" Brian Christopher nailing Spike Hughes with the Hip Hop Drop guillotine legrdrop, Mongo Vyle nailing Dustin Rhodes with the Mongo Masher and Dustin connecting with the running low blow that won him the match, Steve Corino getting decimated in the Muscle Buster courtesy of The Blitzkrieg, Rob Van Dam hitting Vyle who's holding a table with the spinning wheel kick and Dean Malenko dropping Rhino with a diving forearm smash; and "The Dark Prophet Brimstone" beheading Douglas Williams with the slingshot clothesline over the top rope. Finally we see Brimstone flatten Williams with the Chokeslam from Hell. The ECW Wednesday Nights logo then appears.Mr. Fuji with "The Japanese Buzzsaw" Yoshihiro Tajiri puts over Tajiri's skill inside the ring and tell us that very, very soon the two time Tag-Team Champion shall be wearing ECW gold again. Mwahaha!Match: Prince Nana Osei Bandoh vs. Yoshihiro Tajiri Prince Nana Osei Bandoh bring his A game to the ring, getting a nearfall on Yoshihiro Tajiri when he hits him with a body avalanche in the corner that he follows up with a double underhook suplex. Unfortunately for him however he is simply outclassed by "The Japanese Buzzsaw" who nails him with a handspring back elbow, a hurrancanrana off the top rope; and a springboard moonsault off the bottom rope before finally putting the Ghanan prince out for good with a Tornado DDT when Bandoh goes to the well with the body avalanche one too many times. After the match we're taken back stage for Buck Zumhoff's "Rock 'N Rolling" segment where he invites us to party with one of Buck's favorite bands The Beastie Boys with "(You Gotta) to Fight for Your Right (to Party!)(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party)Buck Zumhoff and The Honky Tonk Man welcome us back from the last commercial break of the evening before hyping tonight's huge Main Event which will see "Captain Redneck" Dick Murdoch face "The Leprechaun" Erin O'Grady in the third Tournament match to determine the # 1 Contender for the Eastern States Championship! So far in this Tournament "The American Nightmare" Dustin Rhodes and "The Dark Prophet" Brimstone have moved on to the second round. HTM says that Brimstone has to be a favorite in this Tournament, having already held the Title before. Buck reminds him that so has "Mr. Wednesday Night Rob Van Dam who will get his match this coming Wedneday. Honky says that both points would be moot however if he entered the Tournament, being the greatest Intercontinental Champion in WWF history and all.
Gertner: The following Tournament Match is scheduled for one fall with the winner moving on to the second round. Introducing first weighing 288 lbs. from Waxahachie, Texas; "Captain Redneck" Dick Murdoch!
Murdoch comes down to the ring and soaks in the booing crowd. Zumhoff and Honky say that dirty Dick has been on a roll of late, pulling off an upset win against the Junkyard Dog back at ECW Hardcore Heaven '96. Honky elborates that while the fans may have been upset, "Captain Redneck" has been all smiles ever since. Irish Folk music then plays and out from the back comes...
Gertner: And introducing his opponent this evening hailing from Dublin, Ireland weighing 212 lbs.; he is "The Leprechaun" Erin O'Grady!Main Event Tournament Match # 3: Dick Murdoch vs. Erin O'Grady After tossing his gold coins to the crowd from his cauldron, "The Leprechaun" Erin O'Grady uses his speed to make Dick Murdoch look bad in the early goings of this match. Not one to stick to the rules, Erin delights in using the top rope and he stands on Murdoch's back, choking him out against the bottom rope. Davis however pulls him off and O'Grady ends up getting a two count following a dropkick.
When O'Grady attempts to keep on top of his opponent however, tricky Dick surprises "The Leprechaun" with a quick thumb to the eye before grabbing him in a headlock and dropping him with a hard right. The doesn't keep Erin down, but the match slowly turns in Murdoch's favor as he battles back and ends up dominating O'Grady for a bit. After climbing to the second rope and clobbering his opponent, Dick Murdoch drags Erin O'Grady into the middle of the ring where he lets him have it with a Brainbuster and makes the cover! 1!... 2!...
3! Dick Murdoch advances to the second round of the Tournament!
Lights Fade.

6/5/96 - Caesar's Palace Las Vegas, NV"Mean" Gene Okerlund and "The Genius" Lanny Poffo welcome us to beautiful Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas Nevada for another exciting edition of Eastern Championship Wrestling! They say they have a huge show lined up, including two Tournament matches to determine the # 1 Contender for the Eastern States Championship! But first they briefly recap what happened last week including focusing on "The Dark Prophet" Brimstone, Dustin Rhodes; and Dick Murdoch winning the first three Tournament matches and ECW Champion "Nature Boy" Ric Flair announcing that the Horsemen would be throwing a Championship party here tonight! Lanny assures us that any party in the "City of Sin" is bound to be a good one. So bring on the hook-, er fair damsels Gene.
Okerlund laughs as his co-host before running down tonight's huge card which will see both the "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Brimstone competing in singles' matches, the Tag-Team Champions Dustin Rhodes and Tommy Dreamer will face off with The Bayou Boys in non-Title action; and the next two Tournament matches will take place as Junkyard Dog does battle with "Gorgeous" Michele Starr and "Mr. Wednesday Night" Rob Van Dam; a former Eastern States Champion; will go head to head with "Blackjack" Barry Windham!Tournament Match # 4: Junkyard Dog vs. Michele Starr w/ Joe E. LegendReferee: Danny Davis Junkyard Dog has a tough time keeping up with the faster Michele Starr early on, but once he gets his hand on "The Gorgeous One;" he hands him a beating that sends him to the outside where he is consoled by his much large tag-team partner Joe E. Legend. Undeterred however, JYD gets out on the apron and barks for the crowd before hopping down and dropping the duo with a double axe handle! From here Junkyard beats Starr around the ring, staving off an attack by Legend in the process before rolling his opponent back into the ring.
When The Dog re-enters however, Michele drops him to one knee with a dropkick to the shin! He then hammers on JYD for a bit, but grabbing his wiry opponent, Junkyard nails him with a vicious headbutt! From Junkyard Dog hammers Michele Starr for a bit before finishing him off for the three count with a Thump! powerslam. After the break Lanny and Gene talk about the impressive victory by Junkyard Dog in the opening bout of the show, which sees him move onto the second round of the Tournament to determine the # 1 contender for the Eastern States Championship! Poffo ponders if a rematch between him and Dick Murdoch who also moved on to the second round is inevitable. All Okerlund can say for sure, is just the thought of that possibility must have "Captain Redneck's" liver spinning. Match: Spike Hughes w/ Devon Hughes vs. Brian Lawler w/ Jacqueline MooreReferee: S.D. Jones "Miss Texas" Jacqueline Moore has little problem keeping Spike's tag partner Devon Hughes distacted at ringside while Spike Hughes has a decent back and forth contest with "Too Cool" Brian Christopher who has trouble keeping the diminutive Hughes brother down. After failing to put Spike away with a fullnelson legsweep facebuster, a sunset flip powerbomb; and even the Hip Hop drop guillotine legdrop a frustrated Christopher gets caught off-guard with the Mission from Gawd corner springboard cutter! Spike hooks the leg! 1!... 2!...
Brian Christopher just kicks out! Little Spike Hughes keeps on top of his opponent for a while after this, but ends up getting dropped with a sitout facebuster which allows Brian to pick up the win. After the match we're taken outside in the parking lot where a limousine pulls up and out of it steps several very sexy hook-... er ladies! After they climb out of the limo they are soon joined by Tully Blanchard, Arn Anderson; and ECW Champion "Nature Boy" Ric Flair who're all wearing suits!Flair also has the Title over his shoulder as he gets in the camera's "face" and says that "The Nature Boy" told us to expect a party to remember! And a party we shall have! Woooo!Back from the break we see the Tag-Team Champions Tommy Dreamer and Dustin Rhodes having a little party of their own as they share a drink backstage while watching the "Three" Horsemen's arrival on the monitor with Beulah McGillicutty. Dreamer tells Beulah that they have to get going as their match is next before sort of shyly inviting her to come with them.Tag-Team Match: Dustin Rhodes & Tommy Dreamer w/ Beulah vs. The Bayou BoysReferee: Danny DavisBeulah McGillicutty comes down to ringside and cheers on the Tag-Team Champions as they battle it out with the Bayou Boys. There's plenty of offense on both sides with Cousin Jamie hitting the Paydirt single underhook DDT on Tommy Dreamer for a two count and later trapping Dustin Rhodes in the Trailer Hitch modified figure four! Not one to let his tag-team partner having all the fun, "The Redneck Rebel" Doug Gilbert uses the Hot Shot flapjack dropped into a hangman on "The Innovator" that gets him a nearfall.
Dustin Rhodes and Tommy Dreamer deal out their own share of carnage of course, with Dreamer getting a two count after hitting Jamie with an elbow drop following a huge back body drop and later lays Doug Gilbert out with the Tommy Hawk inverted crucifix cutter which sets the Bayou Boy up for Dustin Rhodes who hops over the top rope connecting with a legdrop for two. "The American Nightmare" gets another two count off Cousin Jamie when he hits a lifting falling DDT, but the count gets broken by Dougie G. In the end it is Tommy Dreamer who scores the pin when he knocks a few more IQ points off of Cousin Jamie when he flattens his head with a DDT.
After they win, Beulah enters the ring and enthusiastically hugs both of the Tag Champs as they celebrate their win."Mean" Gene and Lanny welcome us back from the break before reminding us that next week Eastern Championship will be coming to us live from the Holt Arena in Pocatello, Idaho and that while tickets for that show are sold out, those folks at home should tune in right here on ECW's home station of TNN The Nashville Network to catch all the action live! They then also remind us to tune in this Saturday to their sister show ECW Weekend Warriors where we'll see the sixth match in the first round of the ongoing Tournament to determine the # 1 Contender for the Eastern States Championship which will see "The Japanese Buzzsaw" Yoshihiro Tajiri go one on one with "Mean" Dean Malenko! Okerlund thinks this will prove to be one hell of a match.Tournament Match # 5: Rob Van Dam vs. Barry WindhamReferee: S.D. Jones The cocky "Mr. Wednesday Night" Rob Van Dam has the fans squarely in his corner as he battles it out with the much larger "Blackjack" Barry Windham who's brought the leader of the Dark Circle; Papa Shango with him to ringside! "The Soul Stealer's" presence of course means trouble for RVD and after dominating his opponent a bit, but failing to put him away; Barry Windham goes outside of the ring and clobbers the loudmouth David Prazak for good measure! While Jones is busy yelling at Windham however, Papa Shango enters the ring and attacks Van Dam from behind! He clubs him over the head with his voodoo staff before rolling out of the ring and cackling like a madman! Climbing back in the ring, a very smug Barry Windham pulls Rob up to his feet and slams him down to the mat! And he makes the cover! Windham has stolen this one!
But Rob kicks out just before the three! Windham looks pissed and pulling Rob up to one knee locks in the Clawhold! RVD is now screaming in pain! But he escapes with a leg sweep! And Van Dam is back up and running the ropes! And as he returns he rolls over the back of Windham who tries to counter with a back body drop; hits the ropes again and connects with a springboard moonsault on a standing Barry; sending both men crashing to the ground! From here Rob does his best to keep the big man down with his innovative movesets, nailing him with several kicks including a spinning wheelkick and whipping "Blackjack" into the ropes, sends him flying with a monkey flip! When he charges at Barry again however, he gets stopped dead in his tracks by a vicious lariat! Windham makes the cover! 1!... 2!...
"Mr. Wednesday Night" kicks out again! Barry can't believe it and beats on Rob a bit more before setting him up for a powerbomb! But Rob counters with a hurrancanrana! Windham hits the canvas and rolls to his feet getting hung up in the corner where Rob Van Dam runs at him again, this time leaping up and over him landing on the top turnbuckle while pushing Windham back into the ring! Up on the turnbuckle Rob Van Dam points to his shoulders as the fans chant his name! 5-Star Frog Splash!
And it misses! Windham has rolled out of the way! Windham grabs Rob as he kicks and moans on the floor and pulls him up to his feet! But Van Dam grabs him by the head countering with a sitout jawbreaker! Van Dam pulls himself back up to his feet as the fans begin to cheer again! He runs the ropes and looks for the Rolling Thunder! And this time he connects! He hooks Windham's legs! 1!... 2!... 3!
Rob Van Dam has won it! He celebrates in the ring, posing for the fans on each turnbuckle as he points at his shoulders! He hops back down and comes face to face with Papa Shango! Who lets loose with a face full of Voodoo Mist!! Van Dam clutches his face screaming and goes down hard as Barry Windham who's now back up turns him inside out with another lariat! And they aren't done, because down from the ramp has come Destruction Inc.! They're looking for some payback from last week and begin stomping out RVD! Mongo Vyle and Rhino about to set him up for the Death Drop flapjack/cutter combo too when suddenly they drop Van Dam and the four Dark Circle members leap from the ring in a hurry! Because charging down to ringside now is "Mean" Dean Malenko! And he has himself a steel chair! Shango, Windham, Rhino; and Vyle attempt to re-enter the ring, but Malenko keeps cutting them off before "Rugged" Ronnie Garvin shows up with his security detail and breaks things up as ECW goes to... A promo by Eastern States Champion Lord William Regal?! He says just like his home country of Britian has shown throughout the ages, he has no fear. And he certainly doesn't fear some boogey man like the Grim Reaper or Brimstone. He says that he'll put his Title on the line against anybody, anytime; anywhere. In fact, just to prove it he has ECW Correspondent Terri Runnels here with a jar full of names. And tonight he's going to pick one lucky "winner" who will get a shot at the Eastern States Championship right here next week! And the winner is....
"Mean" Dean Malenko!"Mr. Wednesday Night" Rob Van Dam is with his manager David Prazak who's apologizing for not being more help out there while a medic stitches up his head. Rob tells him to forget it. That defending him isn't his job. What his job is, is to get him matches. And what he wants Prazak to do for him now is get him one. Against either one of those bastards in Destruction Inc.! Prazak warns RVD that he just won a Tournament match and should focus his attentions on winning the Eastern States Championship. At least for now, but Van Dam isn't hearing it when they're approached by Dean Malenko?!Rob thanks him for his help out there earlier, but Malenko tells him not to mention it. That he "owed" him one, but that's over now. Because Dean Malenko doesn't need his help. Doesn't want his help. And maybe Rob hasn't heard yet, but next week Malenko has a shot of his own to win the Eastern States Title. And he's going to win it. And when he does? Well that's going to put him and Van Dam at odds isn't it? So he's warning him now. From here on out, the only time he wants to see Rob Van Dam in the ring with him... is when they're about to tear one another's heads off. Got it?
David Prazak then steps in and tells Malenko that he gets it. That Malenko is his own man, a lone wolf. And that's fine when a Title is on the line. But Dean doesn't understand what's he's dealing with. Facing Destruction Inc. is the same as facing the Dark...
Malenko has tired of Prazak and pushes him against the wall before storming off.Match: Steve Blackman vs. B. Brian BlairReferee: Danny Davis "THE Killer Bee" B. Brian Blair comes out and does his best against "The Silent Assassin" Steve Blackman and his loudmouth manager Captain Lou Albano. Though he gets in his fair share of offense, Blair comes up short when Steve Blackman drops him for the three count with a Bicycle kick.Match: Aryan von Raschke vs. BrimstoneReferee: S.D. Jones "The Soul Stealer" Papa Shango makes his second appearance of the night as he heads down to the ring with "The Dark Propher Brimstone." The ECW Light Heavyweight Champion Aryan von Raschke doesn't have much to fear from him however; with the Baron Von Raschke and The Blitzkrieg in his corner; we find Shango pretty well behaved. Brimstone however is another story entirely and though Aryan gets in some offense, the much larger man mostly throws him about the ring, hitting him with several power moves before laying him out flat with a pumphandle release powerbomb for the three count. When he gets back up to his feet however, Brimstone finds himself looking right into the dead eyes of "Mangler's Monster" The Blitzkrieg!
The two men glare at one another for several tense moments before Brimstone smirks and turns to exit. The Baron helps his defeated son up to his feet as The Blitzkrieg watches the Dark Circle members leave up the ramp.Okerlund and Poffo welcome us back from the last commercial break of the evening before hyping tonight's Main Event! They talk about young Joe E. Legend who's been fairly impressive since joining ECW early last year and the storied career of former ECW Heavyweight Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage.
Gertner: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first weighing 252 pounds from Toronto, Ontario, Canada and accompanied to the ring by "Gorgeous" Michele Starr; Joe E. Legend!
Legend and Starr come down to the ring, posing and making people uncomfortable as usual before "Pomp and Circumstance" hits and out from the back emerges...
Gertner: And introducing his challenger this evening hailing from Sarasota, Florida weighing 237 lbs. and accompanied by "Hot Stuff" Debbie Combs; he is the "Macho Man" Randy Savage!Main Event: Randy Savage vs. Joe E. LegendReferee: Danny Davis This match is brutal and thankfully brief. "Macho Man" Randy Savage locks up with Joe E. Legend and grappling with him a bit, lays him out with a gutwrench suplex. He isn't interested in making the cover however and beats the snot out of Legend whom he takes out with a Piledriver which busts Legend open. When he goes for a second one however Davis threatens to DQ Savage and Randy drops the young grappler onto the mat and makes the cover picking up the win. He then poses for the fans, but doesn't have much time to celebrate before Also sprach Zarathustra hits and out from the back comes...ECW Champion "Nature Boy" Ric Flair! Savage's eyes go wide as Flair struts down to the ring with Arn, Tully and no more than a dozen women. He struts around the ring with his entourage in tow and Randy Savage glares at him before Flair gets on the microphone. He tells "Macho Man" that there was a time he'd be worried about his presence right now. Standing in the way of the Championship Gold. But see.... "Macho Man" can't ruin "The Nature Boy's" party tonight! Oh no brother. This ain't going to be a repeat of 1992. Because as we all know... ECW is now Ric Flair's yard! And this Title belongs to "The Nature Boy!" Wooo!
So being Randy Savage can't even challenge for Flair's belt, why don't he be a good boy and get his ass out of Flair's ring?! The two men stair at one another wide-eyed, but Debbie Combs grabs Savage's arm and convinces him reluctantly to step away.
Ric Flair then has two of the women the Horsemen are with to lower the ropes for him to enter. Once inside he hams it up for Las Vegas, Nevada! Woooo! He pops open champagne bottles which he toasts his brothers in The Four Horsemen with. And he dances a bit with one of the girls, whom he teaches "The Flair Strut." He also plays a video clip for us of the Champ and his friends living it up in Las Vegas, dining at the finest restaurants, gambling big money at the casinos; and fighting off the city's most beautiful women! There's only enough Ric Flair to go around after all! Wooo!
He then talks about how his reign as the Eastern Heavyweight Champion shall be the greatest ever! How he's going to style and profile his way into the history books! Not the wrestling ones! Oh no, school children around the world will be required to take Ric Flair 101 baby! Cause he's already rewritten the book of wrestling everywhere he's gone, again and again. You all know it! And Ric Flair, "The Nature Boy" certainly knows it! And as a verifiable God of this sport he's going to...
The lights go out?! Voodoo drums begin to pound and when the come back on Ric Flair is standing face to face with...."Ravishing" Rick Rude?! And he hits Ric Flair with the Rude Awakening! Flair sells it like he's been shot and Rude gets on the mic apologizing for crashing his "little party." Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard attack him though and the three men are brawling for a bit before Rick Rude makes his exit and he heads up the ramp with Arn yelling at him and Tully checking on Flair as the...

Luckily for his team, Corino kicks out at two and while "The Outlaw" attempts to keep on top of him; big Jason Venom puts a stop to it with a vicious clothesline!
This allows Steve to tag Jason in legally and Venom works over Black Bart pretty good before he tags Corino back in and the former ECW Champion attempts to finish their opponent off with a Camel Clutch, yelling at Bart to "giddyup!" the whole time. Eventually however, "Outlaw" fights off his overconfident opponent and makes the tag to Jimmy Jack!
Funk comes in like an explosion and dominates Corino for a bit, but Steve quickly recovers and has a decent back and forth bout with J.J. before ending the match with a Sliding C Special lariat. After the match, Jason Venom enters and picking Jimmy Jack Funk up to his feet, flattens their dazed opponent with the Venom sheer drop release power Bomb while Black Bart argues with him on the outside. We're then taken backstage where we can see "The Diabolical One" Mr. Fuji in discussion with someone just out of site. The camera pans around him and we see he's talking to... Destruction Inc.?!Match: Tiffany vs. Brandi Wine Brandi Wine shows up on ECW tv for the first time since last October and looks impressive against the ECW Women's Champion Tiffany as the two women battle back and forth before Tiffany puts Brandi down for the count with the Iconoclasm. After the match we're taken to a video clip featuring snippets from matches that took place this past Wednesday on the main show. Legend open with a Piledriver. Ooooh Yeah!! Finally we see ECW Champ "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair at his party when the lights go out and he gets hit by a Rude Awakening by the returned "Ravishing" Rick Rude! The ECW Wednesday Nights logo then appears. The Baron von Raschke is with the Ubermensch; "Mangler's Monster" The Blitzkrieg and the ECW Light Heavyweight Champion Aryan von Raschke. The Baron puts over his son as one of few men in this company to hold two of its Titles and how he is on the way soon to be the greatest competitor in ECW of all time; bringing home pride and prestige to the Republic of Germany!Match: Aryan von Raschke vs. Brian Christopher w/ Jacqueline Aryan von Raschke and "Too Cool" Brian Christopher have met several times in the past and no one another in the ring very well. They pull out all the stops with Aryan attacking Brian with a missile dropkick off the top, a cutter, a side Russian legsweep; and even breaking out his father's Brain Claw for a bit. No slouch in the ring, Christopher retaliates with a missile dropkick of his own, a superkick, a sunset flip powerbomb; and a Hip Hop Drop guillotine legdrop! Both men however refuse to stay down.
On the outside "Miss Texas" Jacqueline Moore makes a nuisance of herself, but goes too far when while up on the apron she distracts Aryan when he attempts to hit a corner sitout powerbomb, giving Christopher enough time to counter it with a headscissors take down. This pisses off the Baron and with the Blitzkrieg behind him he gives chase to Moore! Jacqueline slides into the ring to escape them and a recovered Aryan gets in front of her, telling his fellow Ubermenschers to back off when...
Brian Christopher rolls Aryan von Raschke up from behind! 1!... 2!...
3! "Too Cool" has stolen this one! And as a stunned Aryan gets back up to his feet he's confronted by Brian and Jacqueline laughing at him. Moore shrugs and says she's sorry as The Baron and The Blitzkrieg climb into the ring. Lawler and Moore are quick to make a hasty exit however and back up the ramp rather pleased with themselves. After the match we're taken back stage for Honky Tonk Man's first ever "Shake, Rattle; and Roll" segment where he invites us to rock' n roll with Muddy Water's "Mannish Boy!"Muddy Waters plays "Manish Boy"Buck Zumhoff and the Honky Tonk Man welcome us back from the last commercial break of the evening before hyping tonight's huge Main Event! They talk about the ongoing Tournament here in ECW to determine the # 1 Contender for the Eastern States Championship currently held by Lord William Regal. The winner of the Tournament will earn himself a shot at the Title against Regal. If he still holds the belt following his match with "Mean" Dean Malenko next week of course. They then show a clip of Regal's promo where he picked Malenko's name at random to challenge him for the belt this past Wednesday. HTM wonders if his name was in that there jar or if William fears the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time! Buck doesn't know about that, but wonders how it will affact the Tournament should Malenko; a competitor in it should win the Title before it's even over.
They then discuss the winners of Tournament's first five first round matches so far; with Dustin Rhodes, Brimstone, Dick Murdoch, Rob Van Dam; and Junkyard Dog already moving on to the second round in two week's time. Finally they talk about the competitor's in tonight's match, which is the 6th of 8 first round matches. Buck is particularly excited to see "The Japanese Buzzsaw" Yoshihiro Tajiri face off against "Mean" Dean Malenko in tonight's Main Event! HTM says that we're about to hear from Malenko himself; who's standing by with ECW Correspondent Terri Runnels. Terri Runnels begins talking to "Mean" Dean Malenko about his recent experiences with Destruction Inc. and Rob Van Dam. Malenko says he appreciates what RVD was trying to do, but doesn't get much further when in come..."The Man-Beast" Rhino and "The Machiavellan Mauler" Mongo Vyle who mockingly tells his partner; to "oh, look it's the little lone wolf;" before they begin beating on him! Terri Runnels gets out of the way as Malenko attempts to fight back and only ends up getting beat down into the ground before Vyle spits on him and the duo storm off. We're then taken back to ringside where the Kaientai theme is playing.
Gertner: The following Tournament contest is scheduled for one fall; with the winner moving on to the second round. Introducing first weighing 210 lbs. and accompanied to the ring by Mr. Fuji; hailing from Tokyo, Japan he is "The Japanese Buzzsaw" Yoshihiro Tajiri!
Tajiri stalks his way down to the ring and once inside climbs up onto the ropes and spits Asian mist into the air. Referee Danny Davis is checking for a second capsule when Malenko's music hits...
Gertner: And now making his way to the ring from Irvington, New Jersey weighing in at 212 lbs.; "Mean" Dean Malenko!
Nobody comes out from the back however. Davis looks confused as he looks up to the ramp and Mr. Fuji looks rather pleased with himself.Just then "Rugged" Ronnie Garvin comes down to the ring alone and begins talking with Davis. He's shaking his head and leaves as Davis looks to be making an announcement. He the mic from Joel Gertner and tells us that...
He doesn't say anything! Because out from the back comes Dean Malenko!Main Event Tournament Match # 6: Yoshihiro Tajiri vs. Dean Malenko Dean Malenko is holding his arm as he heads down to the ring and HTM calls him crazy for showing up here injured. And as he begins climbing up the apron, Yoshihiro Tajiri charges across the ring and smashes his injued arm with a baseball slide! Then climbing out onto the apron "The Japanese Buzzsaw" treats the same shoulder to a double foot stomp before pulling Malenko up to his feet by the arm and whipping him hard into the ring! Tajiri then rolls his opponent inside and makes the cover!
But Malenko kicks out before the three! Yoshihiro continues to punish his opponent, but there's no quit in "Mean" Dean who keeps rallying back and gets a two count of his own midway through the match with a DDT. He hits other moves on the Buzzsaw including a double underhook suplex, a dropkick; and a backbreaker that he trainsitions for submission; but it's obvious for every comeback he makes; it takes it's toll on his injued arm. Merciless; "The Japanese Buzzsaw" focuses most of his attack on that arm, dropping Malenko on the shoulder with a bridging Dragon Suplex that gets him another nearfall. Though he fights it valiantly; when Yoshihiro Tajiri locks Dean Malenko in the Octopus Stretch; he's finally forced to submit.
Mr. Fuji and his charge stand victorious while a medic comes to check on Malenko while the...

6/12/96 - Holt Arena Pocatello, ID"Mean" Gene Okerlund and "The Genius" Lanny Poffo welcome us to another exciting edition of Eastern Championship Wrestling, tonight coming to us live from the Holt Arena in Pocatello, Idaho! Lanny says that Gene should fit in real well here, seeing as everyone he's met as the IQ of a potato. They then briefly recap what happened on last week's show where ECW Champion "Nature Boy" Ric Flair had his championship party in Las Vegas, Nevada. Both Junkyard Dog and "Mr. Wednesday Night" Rob Van Dam moved on the the second round of the ongoing Tournament to determine the number one contender for the Eastern States Championship and in the main event "Macho Man" Randy Savage defeated Joe E. Legend; one half of the tag-team known as Sex & Violence. But in the biggest news of the night; The Four Horsemen's (three Lanny corrects) little celebration was cut short when former ECW Champ "Ravishing" Rick Rude crashed the party, marking his return with an attack on the man who beat him for the beat him for the belt back at Hardcore Heaven Ric Flair! Gene is sure we'll hear more on that situation here tonight.
They then hype tonight's huge show which will include the final two first round matches for the ongoing Tournament to determine the number one contender for the Eastern States Champion when "The Silent Assassin" Steve Blackman goes one on one with "The Ringmaster" Matt Borne and Tully Blanchard tackles The Blitzkrieg! Lanny says Blanchard drew the short straw on that one and should just go home and act sick. Also tonight the ECW Light Heavyweight Champion Aryan von Raschke will be in non-Title action as will one half of the Tag-Team Champions when "The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer squares off with "Mr. Wednesday Night" Rob Van Dam! And in our huge Main Event, ECW Champion Ric Flair will face off against former ECW Champion "Mr. Wrestling" Steve Corino! This will mark the first time the two men have been in the ring with one another since Wrestle Annual II back in December. Just then Rick Rude's strip theme hits and out from the back swaggers "The Ravishing One!"Rick Rude comes down to the ring and gets on the mic where he asks which one of these Idaho sweet potatoes in the crowd want to come in the ring and help him with his robe? You? You?! You right there.
He selects a woman from the audience who looks thrilled to get into the ring and Rude does his little dance as she takes off his robe. Once it's off, he sweeps her into his arms and gives her the Rude Awakening. She seems stunned after their kiss and he has security lead her away before getting on the microphone again and orders that they cut the music. He then asks if we like his new tights which has an exagerrated image of Ric Flair on them tapping out to Rick Rude who has him in the figure four. Rude says that they're here for the same reason he is, to send a message. Rick tells us that he knows Flair real well. And that he's always been deserving of the title the dirtiest player in the game. But never to the degree he did on May 2nd at Hardcore Heaven when he stole the Eastern Heavyweight Championship from it's rightful owner Rick Rude!
Now "Ravishing" isn't out here to complain. We all saw what Flair did to "win" the belt. The depths he sank. Just how dirty "The Nature Boy" got. But what Ric should know throughout their long history together is that "The Ravishing One" can get just as dirty. He can be just as unpredictable. And just like Ric Flair; Rick Rude is willing to do whatever it takes to win the ECW Title! Just ask that punk Steve Corino tonight if he's forgot. And "Ravishing" Rick Rude is out here right now to let him know one thing. He may have won the Eastern Heavyweight Championship a month ago, but if he thinks he's going to keep it he'd better prepare himself for a Rude Awakening.Back from the break Joel Gertner makes the intros for the first match of the night while the commentators talk about the Tournament to determine the # 1 contender for the Eastern States Title. They remind us that so far Dustin Rhodes, Brimstone, Dick Murdoch, Junkyard Dog, Rob Van Dam; and Yoshihiro Tajiri have qualified for the second round with the last two matches of the first round to take place here tonight. First up between "The Silent Assassin" Steve Blackman and Dark Circle "Ringmaster" Matt Borne.Tournament Match # 7: Steve Blackman vs. Matt BorneReferee: S.D. Jones Captain Lou Albano comes down to the ring with his charge Steve Blackman who gives a demonstration of his martial arts skills with his kendo sticks before the lights go out, weird circus music fills the air and a spotlight scans about the arena landing on "The Ringmaster" Matt Borne who's with Luna Vachon and Pogo the Clown. The match gets underway and the two opponents are pretty evenly matched as the battle back and forth until Borne surprises Blackman with a shoulder tackle and beats the hell out of him before locking in the Stump Puller single leg inverted Boston Crab!
Blackman however reaches the ropes and though "The Ring Master" continues to dominate him for a little bit, a distraction on the outside allows "The Silent Assassin" to escape Borne with a jawbreaker over his head which he follows up with a dropkick. From here Steve mounts a comeback, hitting Matt with numeros chops and kicks. Though Borne does get in a little offense after this, it's mostly all Steve Blackman from here, who launches Matt Borne with a huge back body drop off a whip and takes him down for the three count with a roundhouse kick!
Captain Lou then enters the ring to celebrate with Steve, but Pogo the Clown and Luna have entered to break up the festivities! Albano jabs his finger right into Pogo's clown nose, ordering him to back off when the big man grabs the Captain and attempts to Bury Him in the Basement! Luckily for him Steve is there to make the save, but Blackman himself gets pounced on and beat down by the Circus of Doom! And while Lou may've escaped it, "The Silent Assassin" ends up Buried in the Basement instead.Tag-Team Match: Destruction Inc. vs. The Bayou BoysReferee: Danny Davis During the match a split screen comes up where they talk to ECW Correspondent Terri Runnels about their ongoing feud with "The Lone Wolf" Dean Malenko. Mongo Vyle and Rhino tell here that this past week on Weekend Warriors was just a little taste of the pain coming Malenko's way! And speaking of pain, the Bayou Boys have been in trouble of late and though they manage to hit the Dosey Doe with Doug Gilbert whipping Cousin Jamie into a corner hung Rhino for a huge pop from the crowd; they suffer another loss when Destruction Inc. nail Jamie with the Utter Destructionflapjack/cutter combo and Vyle makes the cover for the three. After the match we're taken to the office of ECW President "All-Class" Eric Bischoff who tells us he has a very important announcement to make regarding the Tournament to determine the # 1 contender for the Eastern States Championship. And that's the brackets for the Tournament's second round! He then tells us that on next week's show we'll see:
"Mr. Wednesday Night" Rob Van Dam vs. "The Japanese Buzzsaw" Yoshihiro Tajiri! "The American Nightmare" Dustin Rhodes vs. "The Silent Assassin" Steve Blackman!
"Captain Redneck" Dick Murdoch vs. The Junkyard Dog!
And "The Dark Prophet" Brimstone will face the winner of Tully Blanchard's match with The Blitzkrieg later tonight!Tommy Dreamer w/ Beulah vs. Rob Van DamReferee: S.D. Jones "The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer has Beulah McGillicutty in his corner again and does fine against Rob Van Dam early on as he keeps Rob grounded by brawling with him about the ring. When RVD escapes with a leg sweep however, he puts his educated feet to work and Dreamer doesn't know which way to turn as "Mr. Wednesday Night" cuts loose with a spinning wheel kick, a monkey flip, a corkscrew guillotine legdrop while Dreamer is hanging off the apron to the outside; and a handspring back elbow which is clearly a message for RVD's opponent Yoshihiro Tajiri next week as he points to his shoulders while the fans chant his name.
His manager David Prazak attempts to warn him at ringside, but Rob pays attention to late as he turns and walks right into fireman's carry slam from "The Innovator!" Tommy mounts a comeback and neither man has the clear advantage when Dreamer hits Van Dam with a DDT that gets him a 1!.... 2!...
Two count! Keeping on Van Dam, he pounds on him a bit before setting him up for a bulldog. But Rob blocks it and pushing Dreamer into the ropes and hits him with a Northern Lights suplex on the rebound with gets him the three count! Prazak enters the ring Beulah checks on Tommy while RVD celebrates his win over one half of the Tag-Team Champions as ECW goes to..."Mean" Gene and Lanny welcome us back from the commercial break before reminding us that next week Eastern Championship will be coming to us live from the Laramie Arena-Auditorium in Laramie, Wyoming and that while some tickets for the show are still on sale, those folks not in the area should be sure and tune in on ECW's home station of TNN The Nashville Network to catch all the exciting action live! They also remind us to tune in right here this Saturday night for ECW Weekend Warriors where the ECW Light Heavyweight Champion Aryan von Raschke is set to face "Too Cool" Brian Christopher for the Title due to his loss on last week's show.
They then hype the next match which is for the Eastern States Championship, replaying the clip from last week where the Champ Lord William Regal pulled Dean Malenko's name at random to decide on his challenger here tonight. Poffo says that this is a match anyone with half a brain (not you Gene) has been highly anticipating since Malenko was signed here at ECW. Eastern States Title Match: William Regal vs. Dean MalenkoReferee: Danny Davis Dean Malenko has his shoulder taped up and is obviously still feeling the affects of his recent beatdown on ECW Weekend Warriors at the hands of Destruction Inc. The announcers talk about the recent punishment "The Lone Wolf" has been through over recent weeks as the match gets underway with the Eastern States Champ William Regal still looking a little weary of his opponent as they feel one another out a bit before locking it up. The two men trade holds with Malenko attempting to keep his larger opponent grounded using a drop toe hold while Regal focuses his attack on Dean's wounded shoulder. Fighting his way out of a side headlock, Malenko sends the Eastern States Champ into the ropes and looks to hit a suplex, but Lord William grabs the ropes blocking it and pushes him back to the floor where Dean rolls out and kip ups! Regal charges his opponent and the two men reverse several hiptosses, a clothesline from Dean and a suplex from William with neither man giving the other an inch before William Regal cartwheels clear from his opponent who he lets have it with a kick, but Malenko catches it and connects with an enziguiri! And makes the cover!
Dean kicks out at two! Not missing a beat, Regal pulls Malenko up to a seat position and punishes his shoulder further by locking in a chickenwing headlock combo, punching "The Lone Wolf" in the face before pulling him up to his feet and hitting him with a hard left that sends Dean into the corner. Grabbing Malenko by the bad arm, Regal goes for a whip only to have it reversed sending the Champ into the corner where he stops himself by hopping up to the second rope and springboards off with a bionic elbow! But he gets caught by the challenger who takes him down with a snapmare and a fired up Malenko follows him in to take him down with a hiptoss slam into the cover! 1!... 2!
Regal kicks out! And Dean is nursing his shoulder as William charges in and throws him down to the mat on it! Regal takes a breather before stomping Dean in the head sending him crawling into the ropes where William Regal pulls him to his feet and delivers a left hook before making the cover!
But barely gets a two! Pulling Dean up to a seated position again, the merciless Regal jumps on him, locking in a headscissors! He pulls on Malenko's bad arm again while working over his neck while "The Lone Wolf" screams in pain and fights to free himself to no avail. But he keeps on fighting! And inches his way toward the ropes where he gets his foot to break the hold!
William is cutting him any breaks however and as Dean pulls himself up on the ropes, the Eastern States Champion lets him have it with several clubbing blows to the shoulder. And pulling him to his feet, lets him have it with a double knee facebreaker! Dean falls into the corner while Regal mugs for the crowd a bit. This gives Dean enough time to jab Regal in the gut as follows him into the corner and as Regal continues to try and keep on top of him he nails the Champ with several shoulder thrusts to the gut. William Regal fights through however and captures his opponent in a full Nelson, forcing Malenko down to the mat as he kicks Dean's leg out from under him. Malenko's fighting it, but Regal keeps putting on the pressure. Davis is asking Dean if he's gonna give in and Lanny says there's really not much more "The Lone Wolf" can do here. But William grows impatient and throws Dean into the corner where he hammers on Dean for a bit before going for a whip. A whip Malenko reverses! And sending Regal crashing into the corner, Dean charges in after him and springboarding off the second rope connects with a dropkick to the back of Regal's head!
And both men are down! They're slow to get back up, but Dean has recovered a little faster and grabbing the Champ from behind hits a German suplex! Regal is stunned as he staggers back up and Dean grabs him again hitting another German suplex which he bridges for the 1!... 2!....
Regal kicks out! And Dean is pissed slapping the mat before getting back up and forcing a recovering Sir William into the ropes where Regal catches him in a headlock and hammers him with a right hand before spinning him about and nailing a butterfly suplex! He makes the cover! 1!... 2!... 3!
And Regal has won it! William Regal is handed the belt and gets his hand raised in victory while the commentatots speculate on whether Dean Malenko could've beaten Regal here had he not been injured and if Destruction Inc. are responsible for having cost "The Lone Wolf" two shots at the Eastern States Championship this week. Just the smoke fills the arena as the lights go out and voodoo drums pound. On the ramp "The Dark Prophet" Brimstone has appeared with "The Soul Stealer" Papa Shango and tells pathetic knave William Regal that his little "game" he played last week in choosing his challenger for the Eastern States Title by lottery is as transparent as his fear. His fear of once again facing his one true opponent. His one true challenge for the Eastern States Title! And that despite his stalling tactics, it's only a matter of time before the devil gets his due!Back from the break we see Aryan Von Raschke being led down the hall by The Baron Von Raschke and The Blitzkrieg. The Baron chastises Aryan for his weakness last week in helping "that darkie." And says that because of his error in judgement this week that traitor "Too Cool" Brian Christopher has wormed his way into a shot at their Title this Saturday! He warns Aryan that he had best stay focused or bring shame to the Republic of Germany!Match: Aryan von Raschke vs. Jason Knight Referee: S.D. JonesJason Knight is back on ECW television and though he holds his own here, he doesn't have much success against the Light Heavyweight Champion Aryan von Raschke who looks to have decapitated him with a Sieg Heil! superkick! The announcers meanwhile talk about the upcoming Title match between Aryan and Brian Christopher which will be the Main Event on this Saturday's addition of ECW Weekend Warriors!
After the match The Baron orders "Mangler's Monster" The Blitzkrieg to destroy Jason Knight who gets further punished when the big man hoists him up into the air and breaks him in half with a Muscle Buster. The Baron warns us all that this fate awaits all enemies of The Republic of Germany! We're taken to a video which Okerlund tells us took place earlier today in the ECW locker room. Arn Anderson and Ric Flair are busy talking the Four Horsemen. Or more specifically, the fact there're only three of them. "The Nature Boy" says they need a new member or he's going to end up pushing that Poffo idiot in the face. Then again, maybe he'll do it anyway. Wooo! Arn Anderson suggests they bring in his good friend Scott Taylor. He's young but shows potential. And he's had Arn's back since he came to ECW. Ric would apparently rather spit his drink all over the locker room though. He says that Taylor's a schlub, a nobody; and while he understands that Scott is an Anderson groupie; he adds nothing... and he means NOTHING to the group! He says they'd be better off contacting Paul Roma. Tully laughs.
Arn asks who Flair has in mind and "Naitch" gets out of his seat he's so excited by his choice. He wants a man who's had Flair's back in the past. Who's a former WCW Televison Champ-i-on; and is damright one of the scariest in-ring competitors "The Nature Boy" has ever seen in his twenty some odd years in the sport! Who does Flair want? Who does everybody want?! "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit that's who! Wooooo!
Blanchard reminds Flair he's been suspended; but Ric says that he'll have him unsuspended then! Arn Anderson isn't too happy about this and says that Benoit is too unpredictable. That he can't be trusted. Tully agrees that he doesn't trust "The Crippler" either. Ric Flair however turns pale. And then red. And then redder as he turns and slams his water bottle against the wall. He tells Arn and Tully that you know who "The Nature Boy" doesn't trust?!! You!!! He points right in "The Enforcer's" face as he coldly stares back at the wide-eyed Flair who storms off in a huff. Blanchard doesn't seem to know what to think and after an uncomfortable silence asks Arn if he still has Roma's number. Anderson bursts out laughing and tells Tully to shut up.
While Gertner announces the next match Okerlund says that while he can't agree with everything Flair had to say, he did have some valid points. Lanny wants to know what. Like punching that Poffo guy in the face.Tournament Match # 8: Tully Blanchard vs. The BlitzkriegReferee: Danny Davis Tully Blanchard comes down to the ring with "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson and Lanny says that these two guys are insane. No Title is worth this. Gene informs Lanny that that attitude is precisely why he's never held one. Poffo corrects him that he was the Heavyweight Champ in ICW four times! "The Genius" was right however and though Arn being at ringside keeps The Baron and Aryan mostly in check, Tully is in real trouble when the bell ring and The Blitzkrieg hammers him down to the mat with some huge punches! The match looks to be open and shut when "Mangler's Monster" turns Blanchard inside out with a clothesline before hoisting him up to his feet and lays him flat with a the Telegraph from Berlin chokeslam! He makes the cover! 1!... 2!....
Blanchard kicks out! The Blitzkrieg is furious and begins stomping Tully out but Blanchard wisely rolls outside and consults with Arn Anderson. The Blitzkrieg follows him out onto the apron however, but Tully slides back into the ring, pops up and nails the monster with a dropkick that has him spill out to the floor! Then getting out on the apron himself, Blanchard nails The Blitzkrieg across the back with a diving double axe handle as he attempts to get to his feet. Keeping on his opponent, Tully grabs the masked man by the head and slams him face first into the steel guardrail! He does it again, but when he goes to the well once too often, he gets clobbered by a savage back elbow from "Mangler's Monster" who proceeds to whip Tully hard into the steel ringpost! The big man then charges in with a monstrous shoulder tackle! But Tully dodges it and The Blitzkrieg dents the ring post he hits it so hard! The big man stumbles around and Tully begins hammering on him! Aryan von Raschke however is there to make the save! But Arn Anderson is one step ahead of him and sticks his finger menacingly in von Raschke's face! Aryan however slaps his finger away and Arn decks him! Blanchard meanwhile has slid back into the ring breaking the 10 count.
Davis restarts the count and it still takes The Blitzkrieg until a 7 to get back into the ring. And as The Blitzkrieg staggers up to his feet, Tully Blanchard leaps off the top and connects with a sunset flip! 1!... 2!...
3! The Baron can't believe it! Nein! Nein! Nein! Nein! But Tully Blanchard has won it! He's defeated The Blitzkrieg!Okerlund and Poffo welcome us back from the last commercial break of the evening before hyping tonight's huge Main Event which will see ECW Champion "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair go up against former Champion, the self-proclaimed "Mr. Wrestling" Steve Corino! They talk about the two men's history together, Corino being the "Flair lite" in the Omega Horsemen stable last year when he warred with the man he stole the Title from, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson. That war of course came to a bloody end on December 1st at ECW's PPV event Wrestle Annual II when the Four Horsemen led by Anderson defeated the Omega Horsemen in a vicious War Games match! Flair and Corino are set to face one another in the ring for the first time since that fateful match right here tonight!
Also sprach Zarathustra then plays and out from the back comes... Gertner: The following non-Title match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first from Winnepeg, Manitoba, Canada weighing 242 lbs. and accompanied to the ring by Jason Venom and his manager David Prazak; he is "Mr. Wrestling" in his mind; Steve Corino!
Corino comes down to the ring and jawjacks with first Gertner for being a smartass and then the fans for booing him. Okerlund and Poffo remind us of the mood Flair was in earlier this evening and wonder if Corino should really be poking the bear with stunts like coming out to the Champ's intro. Also sprach Zarathustra then plays again, but this time...
Gertner: And now making his way to the ring weighing 243 lbs. from Charlotte, North Carolina; he is the Eastern Heavyweight Champion; "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair!Main Event: Ric Flair vs. Steve CorinoReferee: S.D. Jones Flair gets on the microphone and wags a finger disappovingly at Corino whom he says he'll deal with later. Ric has quite another bit of business on his mind tonight, other than dealing with a second rate, delusional punk kid who was to be "The Nature Boy!" And that's Rick Rude! Last week he crashed Flair's party! Put his hands on a verfiable wrestling God! And to add insult to injury, tonight he comes into this arena and tells Ric Flair he has a message for him?! Oh no, no brother! That's not the way it works! Ric Flair has a little Rude Awakening for him! Because in three weeks time in the FargoDome there are gonna be fireworks baby! Wooo! Cause "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair is gonna explode all over North Dakota! All over this here ring! And all over "The Ravishing One" as he proves just as he has time and time again that in this sport there is no one better! No one!
Flair is beat red and hyperventalating as he stares off into space not seeming to know where he is. Until Steve Corino moves, then he rushes across the ring and begins beating him down with the microphone! He clubs "Mr. Wrestling" over the head with it bashing him into the corner! S.D. Jones moves to break it up, but Flair glares at him and looks as though he might strike the ref! But instead he throws the mic out of the ring and yells at Jones repeatedly to start the match! Checking on Steve Corino who seems a bit stunned but otherwise okay, he does just that. "Naitch" and "Mr. Wrestling" trash talk each other a bit before finally locking up. The two men struggle about the ring for a bit before Steve trips Flair in a headlock. But the Champ pushes his opponent off into the ropes and on the rebound Corino surprises him with a shoulder block that knocks him to the ground!
Steve taunts Flair as Ric gets up to one knee pissed and the two men stare at one another from across the ring. Finally they lock up again, this time with Flair catching Corino in a headlock working him over a bit before "Mr. Wrestling" drives the Champ into the ropes and whips him across the ring. This time on the rebound however Flair mows Corino down with a shoulder block of his own! Wooo! He doesn't stop there however, running the ropes and right over Steve as he drops to the ground, only to get hit with a standing dropkick on the rebound! And as Ric gets to his feet he gets hit with one hell of a chop before getting whipped into the ropes and is sent airborne with a huge back body drop! Woooo! From Steve Corino?! Corino pulls Flair up to his feet and whipping him into the ropes once again charges the ECW Champ and clotheslines him out of the ring! Flair hits the ground on the outside hard while inside Steve Corino is now doing the Flair strut about the ring?!
Ric Flair is stalking about the outside and looking pissed now. He climbs up onto the apron and Corino is right there to meet him, only to get hit with a shoulder block through the ropes followed by a hairpull hangman! Climbing into the ring Flair then runs the ropes and knocks Corino off all fours with a dropkick! Flair is on top of Corino raining down the punches and screaming at him before making the cover! 1!.. 2!
Corino pushes Flair off of him! But Ric climbs right back on and beats the hell out of Steve, busting him open before making another cover which gets him another two count! Ric Flair walks about the ring before heading up top and as Steve gets back to his feet he lets "Mr. Wrestling" have it with a diving knee drop! He makes another cover, getting another two before pounding on Corino who begins making a come back! The two men trade several chops before Ric ends it with a thumb to the eye! And setting Steve up in the corner, he sends him on a one way trip to chop city! Wooo! He pounds on the young former Champ for a bit before Corino surprises him by grabbing him and throws the Champ into the corner!
And Steve Corino is now chopping Flair! He lets out a Wooo! of his own to mock the Champ and continues to let him have it until Ric stumbles out of the corner and very theatrically falls flat on his face! Corino attempts to keep on top of the Champ, but once again he catches a thumb to the eye. And Ric goes up top, but Steve is back on his feet and catches Flair with the two men battling it out for a bit before Corino grabs "Naitch's" tights and hits him with a superplex! Both men are down, but it's Steve who is up first and climbing up top goes for a legdrop! But Flair rolls out of the way, letting Corino catch an ass full of canvas! And back on his feet now, the ECW Champ begins stomping out his opponent! He begins softening up Corino's knee as he stomps him about the ring! Corino makes it to the ropes and Jones calls Flair off, but the second Corino is back up on his feet, the Champ takes him right back down with a chop block. And Flair's strutting about the ring now! He's stomping Corino's legs again! And grabbing Steve Corino's legs Ric Flair locks in the figure four! Corino is fighting it though! But he taps!
Ric Flair has defeated Corino! He gets his hand raised in victory when....
Rick Rude's strip theme hits?! And out from the back comes "The Ravishing One!" Ric Flair is telling Rude to bring it!And he does! Racing down the ramp Rick Rude slides into the ring where Flair stomps him out! But the Champ can't keep Rick down and soon the two men are slugging it out! And Rude gets the upperhand! Before laying the ECW Champ out with a DDT! And as Flair rolls up we can to a seated position we can see he's been busted open! But Rude isn't stopping and he's still pounding on the Champ when from the back comes Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson to make the save! Rude bails from the ring as the...
Lights Fade.

They remind us that Christopher won this chance when he pinned Aryan through some rather dubious circumstances last week. HTM has no problem with Brian or Jacqueline's actions last week, in fact at the risk of stealing a line from that other broadcast team, he found it to be quite "Genius."
Gertner: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is for the ECW Light Heavyweight Championship! Introducing first from Memphis, Tennessee weighing 213 lbs. and accompanied to the ring by "Miss Texas" Jacqueline Moore; he is "Too Cool" Brian Christopher!
Christopher dances his way down to the ring to what Zumhoff and Honky agree just isn't music. He continues to do so inside the ring until "Ich tu der weh" by Rammstein assaults our ears and Buck gives up hope.
Gertner: And now introducing weighing 225 lbs. from The Republic of Germany and accompanied to the ring by "Mangler's Monster" The Blitzkrieg and the Baron Von Raschke; he is the ECW Light Heavyweight Champion Aryan von Raschke!Main Event Light Heavyweight Title Match: Aryan von Raschke vs. Brian Christopher As the match gets underway Buck and HTM talk about the Ubermensch's recent losses here at ECW including this past Wednesday when Tully Blanchard pinned The Blitzkrieg in a huge upset. Buck says that match proved to him just what a tough s.o.b. Blanchard is, having been in the ring with Blitzkrieg himself he knows just how powerful "Mangler's Monster" is. Honky says that Zumhoff being in the ring with that monster only proves he's an idiot. Inside the ring Aryan and Christopher are having a heated contest where each man has made several pin attempts which came up shot. Von Raschke is in control and is works Christopher over before hitting him with a backbreaker over one knee which he turns into a submission maneuver, yelling at Christopher to surrender in German. When Brian refuses (maybe because he doesn't understand what he's saying); Aryan throws him down onto the mat and makes the cover! 1!... 2!
Lawler isn't going down so easily, and though Von Raschke does his best to keep on top of him, Christopher mounts and comeback and the two men go punch for punch in the middle of the ring until Brian gets the upperhand and whips Aryan so hard into the corner that he flips up onto it and gets caught in the Tree of Woe! Christopher makes the best of it and kicks the hell out of the Champ until Davis forces him to let up and Aryan collapses into the ring. Brian grabs his opponent and pulls him into the center before climbing up top and doing a little dance signals for the Hip Hop guillotine legdrop! But Aryan gets up and hits him with a superkick in midair! He's about to make the cover when he sees Jacqueline Moore once again up on the ring apron!
Aryan begins screaming at her, ordering her to get down! Jacquelien refuses and when Von Raschke comes closer, she grabs him by the head and plants a sloppy kiss on the stunned German! Hopping down she seems rather pleased with herself as Aryan spits about the ring! The Baron is now furious and gets into a shouting match with Jacqueline as Aryan von Raschke walks right into a scoop powerslam pin from Brian Christopher! 1!... 2!...
3! "Too Cool" Brian Christopher is the new ECW Light Heavyweight Champion! He celebrates with some breakdancing, but doesn't even get the belt before The Blitzkrieg enters the ring and knocks him cold with a thunderous big boot! Jacqueline is smart enough not to get into the ring as The Baron von Raschke enters, stomping and screaming at Christopher as the...
Lights Fade.

6/19/96 - Laramie Arena-Auditorium Laramie, WY"Mean" Gene Okerlund and "The Genius" Lanny Poffo welcome us to the Laramie Arena-Auditorium in Laramie, Wyoming for another exciting edition of Eastern Championship Wrestling. "White Train" by Tito & Tarantula then hits and out from the back comes a rather somber looking ECW President Eric Bischoff. Eric enters the ring and says he has some bad news for use tonight. That this past Saturday a man who's given his very heart and soul here at Eastern Championship has passed away; a man who will be sorely missed by all that knew him; Dick Murdoch. He sends his best wishes to Murdoch's family He before asking that we have a moment of silence for him while a graphic of Murdoch comes up on the big screen. He then says that things have been very hectic since they heard the news, and while the show will go on as planned here tonight; they didn't have time to set up a proper tribute to the man. But that next week at the MetraPark Arena in Billings, Montana Eastern Championship Wrestling will be holding a very special Memorial Show for him and he hopes that we'll all be there to join us for that. He then exits the ring.
Okerlund and Poffo pay their condolences to the family of Dick Murdoch and Lanny says he was one of his favorite performers here at ECW. They then talk about briefly about last week's show which saw Eastern States Champion William Regal successfully defend his Title against "The Lone Wolf" Dean Malenko. Also the final two first rounds of the Tournament to determine the number one contender for Regal's Title were held, with Steve Blackman and Tully Blanchard qualifying for the Second Round of the Tournament; which we'll see all of the matches for take place here tonight. "The Genius" hates to bring it up, but Murdoch did qualify for the second round in his last match on ECW back on June 1st on Weekend Warriors and wonders how that will affect the Tournament. Gene isn't sure either, but is sure that matter will be resolved here tonight. Finally they talk about last week's Main Event which saw ECW Champ "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair defeat former Champ Steve Corino in a non-Title bout. Thinks went well for Flair until "Ravishing" Rick Rude appeared on the ramp and "Naitch" encouraged his rival to come down to the ring, where the two men brawled before Rude hit Flair with a vicious DDT that broke him open!
They then begin to hype tonight's huge show in which we will see the Second Round of the Tournament to determine the # 1 Contender for the Eastern States Championship in it's entirety. Also new ECW Light Heavyweight Champion "Too Cool" Brian Christopher will be in non-Title action against Jeff Hardy, Scott Taylor is set to make his return, Dean Malenko has asked and been granted a Handicap Match with Destruction Inc.; and in a huge Main Event "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson will be looking for some payback here tonight for Rick Rude's actions against the Four Horsemen when he goes one on one with "The Ravishing One!"Back from the break Eastern States Championship William Regal has decided to join the announcing team to scout his competition here tonight. He's asked about the men in the Tournament and his fear of Brimstone. He says that growing up in Black Pool you get the fear of anything beat out of you pretty early. And that just like their into, The Dark Circle's real power is all smoke and mirrors to intimidate the weak minded. "The Genius" claims to be too intelligent to be scared of the Dark Circle as well, but visibly shudders when the voodoo drums begin to pound.Second Round Tournament Match # 1: Brimstone vs. Tully BlanchardReferee: Danny Davis The lights go out and smoke fills the arena as The Brimstone heads down to the ring led by "The Soul Stealer" Papa Shango who's theatrically hooting and hollering. He glares menacinglt at Regal as he takes over the ring. Tully Blanchard smartly bring "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson down to ringside and this keeps Shango in check. The match starts and Tully Blanchard holds his own early on agains the much larger man and though many think he got lucky last week against The Blitzkrieg; that luck runs out as "The Dark Prophet" catches him with a big boot that puts him down for a two count. From there it's all Brimstone who tosses Blanchard about the ring before delivering the Chokeslam from Hell for the three count.
After the match Brimstone gets on the microphone and reads a poem from his tome... Back from the break we're taken to the locker room where "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard are welcoming back a returning Scott Taylor. He seems like he beefed up a bit since we last saw him in November when Steve Corino punt kicked him in the head. Taylor is telling Arn it's good to be back when they're approached by ECW Correspondent Terri Runnels who asks if they'd like to say a few words about Dick Murdoch. Arn says that he had his share of run ins with Murdoch, but that "Captain Redneck" was on tough s.ob. and his prayers go out to his family. Taylor agrees and says that he never did get to return the favor for Murdoch giving him that haircut last year. Blanchard says that Scott should have thanked him for that one.Match: Scott Taylor vs. Erin O'GradyReferee: S.D. JOnes Arn Anderson accompanies Scott Taylor to the ring as he makes his in-ring return in a fast-paced back and forth contest with "The Leprechaun" Erin O'Grady which sees several nearfalls from both men before Taylor connects with a high-impact diving chop drop off the top for the win.Handicap Match: Dean Malenko vs. Destruction Inc.Referee: Danny Davis Dean Malenko holds his own early on in this match Okerlund says that "The Lone Wolf" requested after Destruction Inc.'s attack on him backstage two weeks ago at ECW Weekend Warriors. During the match which sees Mongo Vyle and Rhino tag in and out many times, a split screen comes up where Malenko tells us that two weeks ago he didn't see Vyle and Rhino coming; but this week will be different. Because this week he'll be facing the duo head on. Lanny suggests Dean look up the word hubris in the dictionary. And he may be right, because though he holds his own early on, the constant double-teaming by Destruction Inc. eventually catches up to him and Mongo Vyle and Rhino enjoy themselves as they hand Dean Malenko a beating! Ignoring Davis' warnings, the former Tag-Team Champs refuse to return to their corner and instead nail Malenko with the Utter Devastation flapjack/cutter combo! They continue to beat their opponent down even after Davis calls for the bell and awards the match to Dean Malenko via DQ. "Poundcake" by Van Halen then hits however! And out from the back storms Rob Van Dam! "Mr. Wednesday Night" slides into the rings and taking them by surprise pounds on Destruction Inc. who manage to grab hold of RVD and whip him into the ropes only to be nailed with a huge flying crossbody on the rebound! Though he knocks the duo down, Mongo Vyle and Rhino are quickly back up and though Rob gets some offense in, he's soon getting a beat down of his very own and ends up on the receiving end of the Mongo Masher sitout full nelson atomic drop!"Mean" Gene and Lanny welcome us back from the break before reminding us that next week's show will be coming to us live from the MetraPark Arena in Billings, Montana for a special Dick Murdoch Memorial Show. He says that while tickets are sold out for the show, those folks at home should tune in right here on TNN The Nashville Network to catch the show live. He says that while he can't announce anything tonight, he's got word that a Dream line-up of wrestling greats have called the offices to express their condolences and ask about appearing on the show. They then talk a bit with Eastern States Champion William Regal who is once again at ringside to scout the competition in our next match.Second Round Tournament Match # 2: Rob Van Dam vs. Yoshihiro TajiriReferee: S.D. Jones Rob Van Dam looks a little beat up from earlier as he heads down to the ring which leads Okerlund to talk about Dean Malenko's Eastern States Championship match last week. Regal agrees with "Mean" Gene that Destruction Inc. very well might have cost Malenko two shots at the Eastern States Title these past two weeks, but says Dean still gave him one hell of a fight and he looks forward to facing him again in the future when he's in tiptop shape.
Inside the ring "Mr. Wednesday Night" is more than holding his own against the skilled aerial and mat tactics of "The Japanese Buzzsaw" Yoshihiro Tajiri who gives RVD all he can handle with a handspring back elbow, a Frankensteiner, a hurrancanrana off the top, a Tornado DDT; and a springboard moonsault while Van Dam retaliates with a jumping corkscrew roundhouse kick, a monkey flip, a tiger feint kick and a senton off the top rope just to keep up.
It's obvious throughout the match that Rob is nursing his ribs and when Tajiri locks in the illegal Tarantula hold he looks to be in some real trouble. Regal says this is why "The Buzzsaw" is so dangerous, because he combines amazing in-ring skills with a complete lack of concern about rules. Dropping RVD before he gets himself disqualified, Tajiri heads up top again and sends Van Dam down to the mat with a missile dropkick! He makes the cover! 1!.. 2!...
Van Dam kicks out just before the 3! The commentators put over the amazing resilience of "Mr. Wednesday Night" who gets dominated by Tajiri for a bit, before Yoshihiro stalks Rob whom he sets up for the Shining Wizard! Yoshihiro misses it however when Rob drops to the mat and Tajiri gets his leg hung up in the rope! And grabbing Yoshihiro by the head Van Dam pulls him free and hits a running bulldog for a two before running the ropes and connecting with the Rolling Thunder! He hooks the leg but only comes away with a two. Rob attempts to keep on top of Tajiri, but Yoshihiro quickly recovers and the two men battle back and forther before Rob Van Dam hits a desperation German Suplex on Yoshihiro Tajiri before heading up top and despite the best efforts of Mr. Fuji to interfere; goes airborne and connects with the Five Star Frog Splash for the three count!Back from the break Junkyard Dog is in the ring and he looks upset. He tells us that tonight isn't going the way he planned it to. He says that he was scheduled to fight tonight and was looking forward to getting some revenge on ol' "Captain Redneck" Dick Moroch. Obviously that ain't happening. JYD is welling up as he tells us that despite their differences, Murdoch was a good friend of his for a long time and he's going to miss him greatly. Just then however voodoo drums being to pound and smoke fills the arena as the lights go out! When they come back on "The Dark Prophet" Brimstone on the ramp and he chuckles at Junkyard Dog. He tells JYD that his tears are pathetic. And that what happened to Murdoch is what happens when old, worn out men step into this ring well past their prime. And that The Dog should take notice. Because just like Murdoch, he's well past his expiration date.
Junkyard Dog is pissed now though and he's ready to fight! He says that Brimstone is nothing but a punk and if he wants a fight with The Dog, well he can have one here, right now; tonight!
Brimstone gives him what he wants, but he's not alone as the entire Dark Circle pours out of the back! Junkyard Dog has nowhere to go as Papa Shango, Brimstone, Barry Windham, Matt Borne, Pogo the Clown, Luna Vachon; and Destruction Inc. surround the ring! And before JYD can say anything, they pounce! Inside the ring they beat the holy hell out of JYD! Ronnie Garvin comes down with his security team, but it's no use as they can't even get into the ring without Dark Circle members hurling them right back out! Finally Brimstone delivers a Chokeslam from Hell on The Dog and the Dark Circle stand victorious in the ring with Papa Shango cackling like a madman before they finally leave the ring.
Finally able to enter the ring, Garvin has medics come out and they load a conscious Junkyard Dog onto a stretcher and take him out. Okerlund says that the Dark Circle's actions just keep getting more and more heinous; and that something has to be done before they really hurt someone.Match: Brian Christopher vs. Jeff HardyReferee: Danny Davis Once the ring is cleared Hip Hop music comes on and the new ECW Light Heavyweight Champ "Too Cool" Brian Christopher comes out with Jacqueline Moore to do battle with former Champ Jeff Hardy. Hardy is no slouch and takes the fight right to Christopher, getting two counts off a sitout jawbreaker and another off a suplex before getting a nearfall with the Swanton high-angle senton bomb! Brian Christopher hangs in there and gives better than he gets with a full nelson legsweep facebuster, sunset flip powerbomb, superkick; and finally the Hip Hop guilltine legdrop which gets him the win over Hardy here tonight.
During the match Okerlund and Poffo discuss how Lawler won the Lightweight Title from Aryan von Raschke, showing the finish where Jacqueline kissed Aryan, distracting him to the point that he walked into a scoop powerslam pin which cost him the Title. They inform us that while Aryan will get his match on next week's show; Brian Christopher will be in action this Saturday night on Weekend Warriors right here on TNN! Dustin Rhodes is walking down a hallway in the back with Tommy Dreamer and Beulah McGillicutty when they pass Aryan von Raschke who seems to be getting his hear chewed out by his father The Baron Von Raschke. As they pass by, the Tag-Team Champs mock Aryan, asking him caught the "jungle fever" this past Saturday. Aryan yells something at them in German as they walk away.Tournament Match # 3: Dustin Rhodes w/ Beulah vs. Steve BlackmanReferee: S.D. JonesCaptain Lou Albano is a pain in the ass as usual in this match as leads his charge "The Silent Assassin" Steve Blackman down to the ring. Regal who is at ringside again talks a bit about being in the ring against both these men, having faced Blackman last year in a # 1 contender's match and Rhodes back when they were both in ECW. He puts them both over as very tough opponents. The match gets underway with Dustin Rhodes and Steve Blackman beating the hell out of one another. "The Silent Assassin" attempts to get the win with not one, but two bridged Fisherman's suplexes and takes Rhodes' head off with a roundhouse kick that gets him another close three. Dustin gets a bloody nose from Blackman when he rains down eight punches into the skull of "The American Nightmare" in the corner. Dustin however keeps coming back and brawls about with Blackman whom he hits with a bulldog off the second rope, a diving clothesline off the top, a spinning side slam; and a lifting falling inverted DDT. Despite both men's best efforts, they just can't seem to put one another away when Dustin sets Blackman up in the corner for the Shattered Dreams running lowblow! Jones attempts to stop it, but gets distracted by Beulah at ringside (who wouldn't) and Rhodes runs in and kicks "The Silent Assassin" in the groin before hitting him hard with a DDT that nets him the three count. After the match he shares a drink with Dreamer from his flask and a hug with Beulah while Albano is busy arguing with the ref.Okerlund and Poffo welcome us back from the last commercial break of the evening before hyping tonight's huge Main Event! They talk about "Ravishing" Rick Rude and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson Heavyweight Title reigns here at ECW. Poffo can't recall ever seeing these two men in the ring together before and Okerlund is really looking forward to it. They replay both clips where Rick Rude recently attacked the man who ended his second reign as ECW Champion; "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair! Tonight he faces Rude's stablemate and friend in the Four Horsemen; "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson! They talk about Anderson and Flair's rocky relationship of late and Gene suggests a win here tonight could go a long way to patching things up between Flair and Arn; who requested this match here tonight.
Gertner: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first from Rome, Georgia weighing in at 255 lbs.; he is "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson!
Anderson comes down to the ring alone and shakes hands with referee Danny Davis. Poffo calls him a kiss ass. Rude's strip theme then hits.
Gertner: And now introducing his opponent this evening weighing 251 lbs. from Robbinsdale, Minnesota he is "The Ravishing One" Rick Rude!Main Event: Rick Rude vs. Arn AndersonReferee: Danny Davis The bell rings and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson comes right after Rick Rude! The two men begins pounding one another, but Arn clearly is getting the better of his opponent whom he drives the ropes, meets half way and treats to a back body drop! And as Rude stumbles up to his feet, he gets taken down to the mat once again by a thunderous clothesline! "The Ravishing One" at this point decides to slide out of the ring and regroup while Okerlund tells us that Double A is clearly fired up for this match here tonight. Lanny reminds us that Rude didn't ask for it though as Anderson rolls out of the ring and gives chase to his opponent.
Rick runs around the ring and slides back in breaking the count and when Arn climbs inside he stomps him back out! Anderson and Rude exchanges some terse words and when Rick attempts to stomp Arn again, "The Enforcer" grabs his foot and pulls him out! On the outside Arn begins laying into Rude, but Rick escapes with a knee to the gut and whips Arn into the steel barricade! Rude punches and begins hammering Arn down to the ground before stomping him out a bit. Finally he grabs AA by the head and slams it into the steel. He then climbs up onto his apron and shakes his ass for the fans.
He climbs back in, but Arn is now back up and yelling at him from the outside and when Rick looks over to say something, Anderson grabs "Ravishing" by the head and lets him have it with a hairpull hangman! Anderson is now back in the ring stomping Rude out as Rick attempts to crawl his way up to his feet and climbing on his opponent he locks in a Camel Clutch! Only for several seconds though before releasing it and kicking Rude down to the floor. He then delivers a knee drop before pulling Rick up to his feet and...
Rude pushes him away into the ropes and drops Anderson with a clothesline! Rick grabs the top rope and leaping up drives a knee drop into the spine of "The Enforcer!" He then locks Arn in a headlock and begins working over his neck. Arn reaches for the ropes! But it's no dice and Rude puts on the pressure until Arn forces his way up from one knee and charges Rick into the corner! But at the least second "The Ravishing One" leaps up, plants his feet on the ropes and hits a springboard bulldog on Anderson making the cover! 1!... tw-
Anderson kicks free! Rude attempts to choke Arn out with his forearm, but Anderson throws Rude off into the ropes. Rick charges right back however and walks right into a sitout jawbreaker from "The Enforcer!" And he hooks Rude's leg! 1!... 2!...
Rick kicks free! Arn keeps right on top of him however and works him over a bit before settling on a chickenwing hold. He looks ready to pull Rude's arm off as "Ravishing" attempts to get out of a seated position, constantly forced back to the mat by Arn until Rick grabs his opponent by the head and taking him over rolls him up into an inside cradle! 1!... 2!...
Arn kicks out! And both men are back on their feet slugging it out! Rick attempts a DDT on Anderson, but "The Enforcer" blocks it and counters with a shoulderbreaker over his knees before locking Rude in another chickenwing! This time Rick is too close to the ropes and breaks the hold and when Arn attempts to grab him he hits him with a back elbow before hoisting "The Enforcer" up into the air and drops him with a shinbreaker over his knee! And with Arn down on the ground he begins working of the legs of "The Enforcer!" Okerlund doesn't think Rude is about to attempt what he thinks he is, but he does and grabbing Arn's legs he locks in the figure four! He's trying to beat Arn with him and Flair's own move! Anderson is attempting to make it to the ropes, but they're too far away. Instead he grits his teeth and attempts to flip Rude over!
But he fails! He does it again! And fails again! But on the third attempt Arn Anderson flips Rick Rude over reversing the figure four leglock! And Rude is gonna tap! Except for he's far too close to the ropes and gets the hold broken! AA doesn't care however and holds him in it a little longer before breaking the hold. Arn is still down though and Rick is holding himself up with the ropes as both men catch a breather. Finally Rick heads over and stomps Arn in the head before pulling Anderson to his feet and receives a double dose of shoulder blocks for his trouble before "The Enforcer" hoists Rude up for a spinebuster! But his legs give out and both men crash back to the mat! Anderson is clawing his way on top of Rude now and "The Ravishing One" is punching him in the head before rolling him over and beginning pounding Double A in the head. He chokes out Arn with his forearm, before resuming with the punches. And only stops when Danny Davis pulls him off and threatens him. Rick goes for one more stomp on Anderson, by AA grabs him by the leg and flips him onto his back!
Arn is back up on his feet now and grabbing Rude by the legs he catapults him into the corner head first and as he bounces out Arn Anderson hits him with a DDT! This has to be it! 1!... 2!...
Rude kicks out! Arn can't believe it and getting back to his feet he heads toward the ropes when Rick Rude scrambles up and drops Anderson with a chop block to the legs! He then takes Arn by the leg and locks in an Indian deathlock! He looks to be punishing Arn as he keeps dropping back and putting on the pressure! But then this fourth time he gets back up he trainsitions it into the figure four! He's got Arn in the figure four again! And he tap! Rick Rude has made Arn Anderson submit!
Rick Rude isn't stupid and gets out of the ring as he takes the microphone and tells Ric Flair who's sitting at home nursing his little booboo tonight that he hopes he gets the message. Loud and clear.
Lights Fade.

6/22/96 - Brendan Byrne Arena East Rutherfod, NJBuck Zumhoff and the Honky Tonk Man thank of for joining the original Rock 'N Roll broadcasting team for another exciting edition of ECW Weekend Warriors, tonight coming to you live from the Brendan Byrne Arena in East Rutherford, New Jersey! They tell us that they have an action packed line-up for us here tonight as the recently returned Scott Taylor is set to face Sgt. Craig Pittman, the ECW Light Heavyweight Champion "Too Cool" Brian Christopher will be in non-Title action and in an odd turn of events "Gorgeous" Michele Starr will face both "Miss Texas" Jacqueline Moore and Lisa Moretti in a # 1 contender's Triple Threat Match for the Women's Championship in tonight's Main Event! Buck has some reservations about Starr fighting women here tonight and Honky Tonk Man says that his momma had a word for women who couldn't take a punch; but Buck tells him if he finishes that joke he's gonna be unemployed.Joel Gertner makes with the announcements for all of the matches tonight while Danny Davis officiates them. The Wiseguys come down to the ring in their suits and flip off the booing fans Italian style when "Fire" by Scooter hits and out from the back comes former ECW Champion "Mr. Wrestling" Steve Corino who has his manager David Prazak and tag-team partner Jason Venom in tow. Corino has a mic (never a good thing) and tells us that this is insulting. More than insulting because first of all they have a former Eastern Heavyweight Champion opening on the B show of all things. But then to give him nobodies likes the Wiseguys as opponents?! Well Fuhgeddaboudit! He laughs at his own choke before telling us that he, "Mr. Wrestling" himself Steven Corino is too good for these sort of shit matches. Why, he just went toe to toe with Ric Flair last week! So until they get a decent opponent out here for him; he ain't wrestling! Prazak doesn't look too happy about this.
Several minutes pass with the Wiseguys pissed off pacing in the ring, trying to goad Corino in when "White Train" by Tito & Tarantula hits and out from the back swaggers ECW President Eric Bischoff! He tells Corino that he doesn't care if he wrestles or not, because first of all he doesn't like him to begin with. And second of all, he's easily replaced. In fact he already found new opponents for the Wiseguys and he didn't have to look far for them either! He then introduces us to two members of the Brendan Byrne Arena's custodial staff?! He asks the men to introduce themselves and they tell Bischoff their names are Shawn Hernandez and Erazo Rodriquez homes! Corino can't believe it as the two newcomers head down to the ring.Match: Shawn Hernandez & Erazo Rodriguez vs. The Wiseguys Jimmy Cicero & Guido Falcone While the Wiseguys give Erazo Rodriguez and his partner Shawn Hernandez as fight, the Latin duo (who don't seem to care much about tagging in or out) put Jimmy Cicero and Guido Falcone both in a world of hurt before Rodriquez hits Cicero with a back to back double underhook piledriver for the three count. Bischoff himself is impressed and comes down to the ring and raises the duos hands while Corino just looks on pissed from the ramp.Match: Scott Taylor vs. Sgt. Craig Pittman w/ Cpl. Kirchner Having just returned from injury this past Wednesday, Scott Taylor looks a little rusty as Sgt. Craig Pittman dominates the early part of the match, notably hitting Taylor with a side Russian legsweep and a German Suplex.Arn Anderson is brought up on a split screen watching the match and looking in worried until Scott Taylor locked in the Code Red armbar breaks the hold when he makes it to the ropes and slowly mounts a comeback, giving as good as he gets until he hits the high-impact diving chop drop off the top and picks up the win!
At this point however Corporal Kirschner enters the ring and with a recovered Pittman begin stomping a mudhole in Taylor! "The Enforcer" is quick to race from the back and putting the fists to both members of The Green Berets tag-team, allows Scott Taylor to recover and together they clothesline Pittman out of the ring while Kirschner who's already slid to the outside yells at the duo while he and the Sarge head up the ramp.
After the match we're taken to a video clip featuring snippets from matches that took place this past Wednesday on the main show. We see "The Dark Prophet" Brimstone plant Tully Blanchard with a Chokeslam from Hell, Scott Taylor lay out Erin O'Grady with the diving high-impact Chop Drop, Dean Malenko laid out by the Utter Devastation flapjack/cutter combo, Rob Van Dam hit with the Mongo Masher, then RVD in the Tarantula and him hitting the Five Star Frog Splash on Yoshihiro Tajiri, the Dark Circle dogpiling the Junkyard Dog, "Too Cool" Brian Christopher decapititating Jeff Hardy with the Hip Hop Drop, Dustin Rhodes flattening Steve Blackman's cranium with a DDT; and finally "Ravishing" Rick Rude forcing "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson to tap out via the figure four leglock! The ECW Wednesday Nights logo then appears. Back from the break ECW Correspondent Terri Runnels is with ECW Women's Champion Tiffany in front of the ECW banner. She tells Tiffany that she understands that Jacqueline Moore and Ivory signed a waiver to fight this... this excuse for a man tonight in a # 1 contender's match for her Title. But she didn't. And if she's honest the thought of stepping into the ring against any man makes her nervous. But if this mariposa Michele Starr wins tonight; he'd better be prepared to get more than his wings clipped.Match: Brian Christopher w/ Jacqueline Moore vs. Bobby Starr In what's sure to be the upset of the century, ECW Light Heavyweight Champion "Too Cool" Brian Christopher makes relatively short work of Bobby Starr whom he finishes off with the Hip Hop Drop guillotine legdrop. After getting his hand raised however he comes face to face with the man he beat for the Title last week; Aryan von Raschke who after a tense second lets Christopher have it with the Sieg Heil! superkick! Brian is out cold, but Aryan doesn't look finished when Jacqueline Moore jumps in the way! Von Raschke raises his hand seemingly intent on punching her, but after hesitating a moment backs away and leaves the ring. After the match we're taken back stage for Honky Tonk Man's "Shake, Rattle; and Roll" segment where he invites us to "Get Rhthym" with Johnny Cash!Johnny Cash - Get RhythmBuck Zumhoff and the Honky Tonk Man welcome us back from the last commercial break of the evening before hyping tonight's huge Main Event! Buck is just disgusted by tonight's main match which will see "Gorgeous" Michele Starr battle both two former ECW Women's Champions in "Miss Texas" Jacqueline Moore and Lisa Moretti. HTM however tells Zumhoff to stop being sexist, that both the women in tonight's match are big girls and wanted to face Starr here tonight. "Rock 'N Roll" guesses Honky is right, but hopes the two former Champs put a stop to Starr's quest for the Women's Championship here tonight. He's not sure if he can contain himself if "The Gorgeous One" put his hands on current ECW Women's Champ Tiffany. HTM says he wouldn't mind laying his hands on her himself, if you know what he means. Buck does and is angry with his co-host who tells him to calm down, before suggesting to us that someone has more than just a little crush on ECW's resident sexy senorita.
Gertner: The following Triple-Threat Match is scheduled for one fall and is to determine the # 1 contender for the ECW Women's Championship! Introducing first at 172. lbs. accompanied to the ring by the ECW Light Heavyweight Champion "Too Cool" Brian Christopher, she is "Miss Texas" Jacqueline Moore!
Jacqueline comes down to the ring and poses for the fans while Christopher dances to their Hip Hop theme when...
Gertner: And now introducing the second competitor in tonight's Main Event, from Inglewood, California weighing 135 lbs.; she is a one-time ECW Women's Champion; Lisa Moretti!
Moretti comes down to the ring and surprisingly talks with her opponent for a bit before "It's Raining Men" by The Weather Girls hits and out from the back comes...
Gertner: And finally introducing from San Francisco, California weighing 255 lbs. and accompanied to the ring by Joe E. Legend; he is "Gorgeous" Michele Starr! Triple Threat # 1 Contender Main Event: Jacqueline Moore vs. Lisa Moretti vs. Michelle Starr Michele Starr comes to the ring in his pink boa which he sort of strips off before throwing it to the fans (who throw it back). Davis starts the match and Jacqueline Moore and Lisa Moretti attack him! The two women beat him down together before whipping him into the ropes and deliver a double flapjack on "The Gorgeous One" when HTM questions if this a Handicap Match. Buck says that unfortunately for these two women only one of them can win here tonight and with a shot at the Women's Championship on the line he'll bet their friendship will only go so far. Starr meanwhile is crawling back on his hands and knees begging the two former Women's Champs now. Jacqueline and Lisa keep kicking at him but when they hoist him to his feet, and begin pounding on him, Michele slides out of the way and Moretti accidentally lets Moore have it with a hard right!
And that's all it takes for the two women to begin brawling about the ring! Honky says he just loves himself a cat fight and dropping Lisa with a roundhouse kick, Jacqueline Moore stalks her prey and follows it up with a bridged German Suplex! 1!... 2!
Michele Starr breaks it up with a kick to Jacqueline's side! Brian Christopher is now up on the apron and when Davis orders him up, Michele rakes Moore's eyes and throws her head first into the mat! Brian jumps down and Davis slides in to make the count as Starr hooks the leg! But Ivory grabs Michele by his hair and throws him across the ring by it! And as Michele gets up and stumbles back into the ropes Moretti connects with a body avalanche before climbing up to the second rope and begins raining down the punches! 1! 2! 3! 4! 5! 6! 7! 8! 9!
Jacqueline Moore grabs Ivory from behind and hurls her down to the mat before flattening her with a jumping legdrop! "Miss Texas" rolls Moretti over to make the cover, but she is grabbed by Michele Starr who runs her across the ring and throws her over the top rope! Starr mockingly brushes his hands off before walking right into a punch to the jaw from Lisa who whips "The Gorgeous One" across the ring and on the rebound kicks him in the gut, pops her hips and hits a suplex on Starr who grabs his head as he rolls about the ring. She makes the cover! 1!... 2!...
Starr kicks out! Lisa Moretti then pulls Starr up to his feet and sets him up for the Moretti Driver! But Starr slips out and pushes Lisa into the ropes and hits her with a swinging neckbreaker! On the outside Jacqueline Moore is busy being held hostage by Joe E. Legend who has her hands behind her back! Brian Christopher rushes over to make the save while inside the ring Michele Starr runs the ropes and hits a splash on Lisa Moretti that he calling The Falling Star and picks up the win!
On the outside Legend pushes Moore into Brian and heads around the ring where he celebrates with Starr who is already headed up the ramp.
Lights Fade.

6/26/96 - MetraPark Arena Billings, MTThe Dick Murdoch Memorial Show"Mean" Gene Okerlund and "The Genius" Lanny Poffo welcome us to the MetraPark Arena in Billings, Montana for another exciting edition of Eastern Championship Wrestling! They wish however it was under better circumstances, because tonight's episode is dedicated to wrestling legend "Captain Redneck" Dick Murdoch who as we all know has been an intergral part of ECW's roster since the company was bought by ECW President Eric Bischoff back in 1993. Okerlund and Poffo's thoughts and prayers go out to the Murdoch family."White Train" by Tito & Tarantula then hits and out from the back comes Eric Bischoff. "Easy E" also expresses his condolences to the Murdoch family and says that Dick was a good man. A man who has been loyal to this company for the past three years and to honor him tonight they have some very special matches lined up with some men Dick loved. And others he downright hated. And he hopes that somewhere out there ol' "Captain Redneck" will smile seeing it. But as we know, whenever "All-Class" Eric Bischoff is out in this ring, it can only mean one thing. And that is business is at hand.
Tonight however, business is postponed because all the proceeds from tonight's merchandise sales will be going to the family of Dick Murdoch. And if you folks at home would like to help them out, you easily can by calling the ECW hotline 1-800-BUYECW! Donations will also be accepted, either by phone or at the merchandise booths here tonight. With that out of the way, however Eric would like to invite a very close friend of Dick Murdoch to come out here and say a few words on his behalf. The one and only..."American Dream" Dusty Rhodes!
"First the American Dweam would like to thank ECdub-ya for allowing me to say a few words about my friend, and for also putting together dis beautiful memorial show.
The 'merican dweam comes to Billings tonight with a heavy heart, ya understand? Dickie Muhdock was a dear friend of mine, a brotha if ya wheel. So yes Dusty Rhodes has a heavy heart, pro rasslin has a heavy heart. The Texas Outlaws had a run that will always be remembered in dis bidness, and make no mistake about it, at dat tiiime, the Captain was carryin' dis young soldier. If not for Dickie Muhdock I, Duthtay Rhoades, never woulda realized my American Dweam, never woulda had my 3 World Heabyweight title reigns, while Dickie and I didn't always see eye to eye, it was always a family squabble, you know what I'm-uh talkin bout?
Brothers then, brothers now, brothers forever. God bless Dickie muhdoch and may my friend west in peace...."
After Dusty finishes talking Eric Bischoff says he has another piece of business to address. And that's The Dark Circle's vicious attack on the Junkyard Dog last week. Quite frankly, it disgusted him and it takes alot to turn off the 'Bisch. Eric says that he's decided to grant JYD's request to face "The Dark Prophet" Brimstone here tonight! But because he realizes that Circle of creeps won't keep their nose out of it; he's going to make it a Tag-Team Main Event! He says that both men may pick a partner of their choosing, but they'd better choose wisely as this Match will count as their Third Round Tournament Match here tonight! The Texas Outlaws (Dick Murdoch & Dusty Rhodes) vs Ben Justice & The Stomper (3/21/70 Detroit) Junkyard Dog talks to ECW Correspondent Terri Runnels in front of the ECW banner about his good friend "Captain Redneck" Dick Murdoch. And how much he's gonna miss him. And there time tagging together in Mid-South. He says they may've had their share of problems, but last week "The Dark Propher" Brimstone went too damn far disrespectin' the man. And if his goal was to see a rabid dog, well he's gonna see one tonight! Cause Junkyard and is gonna guarandamntee he's gonna sink his teeth into "The Dark Prophet" tonight and when all is said and done JYD will be the new Eastern States Champion! Cause he's gonna win it brotha. He's gonna win the whole damn Tournament and make ol' "Cap'n Redneck" proud!Match: Tommy Dreamer w/ Beulah vs. Matt Hardy Referee: S.D. Jones Matt Hardy has his brother Jeff at ringside and though he gets a two count off a side Russian legsweep and forces Tommy Dreamer to spend some time in body scissors; it doesn't help him in the end and "The Innovator of Violence" who's kept control most of the match knocks Matt Hardy out cold with a DDT. Afterwards Beulah enters the ring and excitedly hugs Dreamer.Back from the break we're shown some footage of Murdoch delivering a Brainbuster injuring Nikita Koloff during their feud. Okerlund and Poffo then tell us about that feud in which Murdoch and Koloff teamed with Vladimir Pertrov against Nikita and Dusty Rhodes. Tonight Koloff will be looking for revenge against his uncle once again with new Tag-Team partner "Rugged" Ronnie Garvin; filling in for Rhodes. They explain that Garvin had his own share of history with "Captain Redneck," including losing the NWA U.S. Tag-Team Championships to him and Koloff.Tag-Team Match: Ivan Koloff & Vladimir Koloff vs. Nikita Koloff & Ronnie GarvinReferee: Danny Davis Ivan Koloff uses some cheap tricks to get the better of the larger Nikita Koloff whom he locks in several chinlocks before the big man fights his way out and hammers Ivan about the ring for a bit before whipping him into the ropes and takes him down with the Russian Sickle clothesline! This sends "The Russian Bear" stumbles up to his corner where he makes the tag to his nephew Vladimir.
Vladimir and Nikita immediately get into a test of strength, with Vladimir getting the better of Nikita for a while, before he throws Vladimir back into the ropes! Vladmir comes back swinging however and the two Koloffs begin beating one another about the ring until Vladimir nails Nikita with a powerslam and makes the cover! He only gets a two however and though he attempts to keep Nikita down, the big man fights his way back and ends up trapping Vladimir in a monstrous bearhug! He refuses to submit however and Nikita drops him before tagging in Ronni Garvin.
"The Rugged One" is quick to deliver the Garvin Stomp on Vladimir before hitting an elbow drop and makes the cover! He only gets a two however before Koloff powers out and makes the tag to his uncle Ivan! Ivan Koloff and Ronnie Garvin trade numerous holds and punches about the ring before Ivan Koloff nails Garvin with the Brainbuster and makes the cover; picking up the win.YouTubeAfter the break we're brought to a promo by "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase. He talks about his violent feud in Mid-South wrestling with Dick Murdoch. About how "Captain Redneck" was one of the toughest opponents he ever faced and had a real good laugh delivering a Brainbuster that nearly killed him. But I guess we can all see now, which of them gets the last laugh. He then gives his signature MDM cackle.
Lanny laughs too, but Okerlund says that DiBiase is as tasteless and cruel as ever. They then talk about our next match of the night which will see Murdoch's cousin "Killer" Tim Brooks team with Dick's former Tag-Team partner "Dirty" Dick Slater, collectively known in WCW as the Hardline Collection Agency. Tonight they will face their old rivals The Steiner Brothers; all four men appearing for the first time on ECW tv here tonight.Tag-Team Match: The Hardline Collection Agency Dick Slater & Tim Brooks vs. The Steiner BrothersReferee: S.D. Jones "Killer" Tim Brooks starts things off with Rick Steiner and the two men brawl about the ring for a bit before Rick whips Brooks into the ropes and nails him hard with a clothesline! Tim hobbles up to his feet only to caught by a second one and Rick takes control of the match. "Killer" is already looking for his corner, but the Steiner Brothers easily cut him off and work him over as they tag in and out. Rick attempts a pin following a Dragon Suplex while Scott does the same off a dropkick and a military press slam. Brooks however refuses to stay down and manages to free himself with a headbutt to Rick and begins unloading on "The Dog;" driving him into his corner where he finally makes the tag to Dick Slater.
The more skilled of the Hardliners, Slater holds his own against Steiner, whom he drops with a Russian legsweep before working over Rick's leg and locks in the figure-four! The Steiners look to be in trouble, but Rick grits his teeth and pulls himself toward the ropes. Jones breaks up the hold and Rick staggers up, but Slater is right there to nail him with a gutwrench suplex! He makes the cover! 1!... 2!... Scott Steiner breaks it up! And begins smacking Slater around the ring! This gives Rick enough time to recover and the duo work Slater over before Scott is made to exit the ring. Rick Steiner is now in full control and he sets "Dirty" Dick up for the Steiner Driver! And it connects! He makes the cover! 1!... 2!.
This time it's Tim Brooks who makes the save as he comes in swinging with his dog chain! But Rick sees it coming, ducks it and clobbers "Killer" with a hard right sending the chain clattering across the ring. Scott Steiner enters too and soon a brawl has broken out! Jones successfully gets Brooks out, but Scott who's busy double-teaming Slater refuses to go and argues with the ref as he returns to his corner. But Dick Slater now has the dog chain wrapped around his fist and behind the ref's back lets Rick Steiner have it with a big right hand! Rick goes down hard! And Slater makes the cover! 1!... 2!....
3! Rick kicks out just a second two late! And the Steiners are pissed! Tim Brooks gets the hell out of dodge, but Dick Slater finds himself in a world of trouble as The Steiners work him over a bit before Rick sets him up in an electric chair while Scott goes up top and connects with the Steiner Device! The Steiners stand victorious while we're to another video...YouTube"Mean" Gene and Lanny welcome us back from the break before reminding us that next week's big show will see business return to usual here at ECW when Eastern Championship Wrestling raids the FargoDome in Fargo North Dakota! They say that while some tickets are still available, those folks at home should tune in right here next week on ECW's home station TNN The Nashville Network to catch all the action live! They then thank everyone who's either donated money to Dick Murdoch's family or bought ECW product tonight. They remind us that all profits from merchandise will be going to his family tonight and if we'd like to contribute be sure and call 1-800-BUYECW!Semi-Final Tournament Match: Rob Van Dam w/ David Prazak vs. Dustin RhodesReferee: Danny Davis The commentators talk about ECW's ongoing Tournament to determine the # 1 contender for the Eastern States Championship while the first Semi-Final Match gets underway. "Mr. Wednesday Night" Rob Van Dam's manager David Prazak is cheering him on from ringside as he and "The Amerian Nightmare" battle for leverage to start things off. A bit too evenly matched, RVD breaks away and counters with a quick go behind, pops his hips; and gets his German Suplex blocked by Rhodes; who takes him down with an armdrag. And still holding onto Rob's arms, Dustin nails it with a legdrop before applies an armbar! Van Dam however wiggles free using a kip-up/backflip combo that impresses Gene before Rob drops the surprised Dustin with a roundhouse kick! "Mr. Wednesday Night" makes the cover! But only comes away with a one.
From there Rob keeps control of the match with an impressive array of kicks before whipping Rhodes into the ropes and connecting with a jumping corkscrew roundhouse kick! This time Dustin stays down for two and he looks to be in trouble until off another whipe RVD goes for a back body drop which sees "The American Nightmare" hits the canvas and pop "Mr. Wednesday Night" in the jaw with an uppecut! Scrambling to his feet, Dustin runs the ropes and connects with a bulldog! He rolls Van Dam over for the cover! 1!... 2!.. Rob kicks free! It's now Rhodes' turn to take charge and he gives Rob a good working over, nailing him with a suplex and sidewalk slam. Both of which prove unsuccessful. Finally Dustin locks in the sleeper hold and Van Dam begins to fade! Finally Davis grabs Rob's hand and raises it, letting it drop. He does it again. Another drop. He raises it a third time!
But this time Van Dam holds strong! He battles out with back elbows and soon is driving Dustin back into the ropes with a barrage of punches! He looks to have the Tag-Team Champ's number when he whips him into the ropes and charges across the ring! But Rhodes blocks the attempted clothesline and throws Van Dam out to the floor! He climbs out onto the apron when..."Fucking Hostile" by Pantera hits! And out from the back come Destruction Inc.! And the two men begin bludgeoning Rob Van Dam at ringside! Davis is telling them to get out of her, but Mongo Vyle and Rhino don't quit until they're good and ready to roll the former Eastern States Champ back into the ring!
Davis asks Rob if he should call for the bell, but he wants to continue the fight! Dustin Rhodes allows him a momentary breather, but it isn't enough and Van Dam ends up getting hit with an inverted atomic drop that Dustin follows up with a clothesline! He makes the cover! 1!... 2!... Rob kicks out! Rhodes can't believe it and pulls the Champ to his feet. He goes for a suplex, but this time Van Dam rolls him up! 1!... 2!... Dustin reverses it! 1!... 2!... RVD kicks free again! Dustin is back up and begins hammering on Rob who's up on one knee now. Rhodes runs the ropes, but Rob sweeps his legs out from under him! He hobbles up to his feet and points to his shoulders while the fans chant his name. Rob runs the ropes and goes for the Rolling Thunder! And it connects! Right into the knees of "The American Nightmare!" Rob is writhing in pain on the floor. Dustin hooks the leg! 1!... 2!....
3! Dustin Rhodes has won it! He's going to the Tournament Finals!Terry Funk and Dory Funk Jr. cut talk about growing up with Dick Murdoch, watching their fathers fight in Texas. They get a bit choked up, calling him a dear friend whom they'll both miss greatly.
The Funk brothers are already inside the ring when Okerlund and Poffo inform us that in our next match we'll see the duo face the Wild Samoans Afa and Sika who defeated Murdoch and then tag-team partner Junkyard Dog for the UWF Tag-Team Championships twice. There was certainly no love lost between those two groups.Tag-Team Match: The Funk Brothers vs. The Wild SamoansReferee: S.D. Jones Dory Funk Jr. starts things out with Afa in what soon becomes a wild brawl that rarely sees only two men inside the ring. Jones gives up trying to restore order early on and just lets the four men tear into one another with Sika locking Dory in a painful stomach vice for a spell attempting to get him to submit and Afa knocking Terry flat on his back with an Anoa'i Kick which sets Sika up for a flying headbutt off the top that gets him a two count!
The Funks give it out as good as they get with Dory hitting Afa with a European uppercut, clothesline; and locking him for a bit in the Cloverleaf while Terry hitting Sika with an atomic drop and tortures him in a spinning toe hold for a bit. All four men are bleeding by the time the match comes to an end with Dory battles Afa on the outside while inside Terry Funk clocks Sika with a bionic elbow in the corner before setting him up for Murdoch's Calf Branding. He points to the sky before hitting it and makes the cover, picking up the win. After the match Destruction Inc. are talking with ECW Correspondent Terri Runnels, laughing it up at costing both Dean Malenko and Rob Van Dam three chances at the Eastern States Title in as many weeks! They say that those two dolts have learned the inevitable outcome of messing in the affairs of "The Man- Beast" Rhino and "The Machiavellan Mauler" Mongo Vyle; that you get destroyed!Just then however in comes Dean Malenko looking more pissed off than ever as he clubs Mongo Vyle over the head with a bat! "The Mauler" goes down hard as Malenko clubs Rhino who tries to block in the knee! Rhino doubles over in pain and takes a second shot to the back before Dean Malenko kicks Vyle in the gut! He begins stomping the duo out when in comes Ronnie Garvin with his security team to pull "The Lone Wolf" away.Dick Murdoch & Ric Flair Back from break ECW Correspondent Terri Runnels is in front of the ECW banner with the ECW Champion "Nature Boy" Ric Flair! She asks Flair about his feelings on Dick Murdoch. "Captain Redneck?" Now that's one guy who could make "The Nature Boy" laugh. He'll be missed. Unlike that no good, stinking, piece of trash Rick Rude! He's got news for "The Ravishing One," Murdoch got off easy brother! Because unlike Rude he's not going to have to face the one true judgement! He's not going to get down on his knees, begging and pleading before the one true wrestling God! He's not going to have to stand in that very ring two weeks from now at the DakotaDome and face "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair! Woooo!Just then Flair is approached by Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard who have Scott Taylor with them. They introduce a wide-eyed "Nature Boy" to Taylor who extends his hand. "Naitch" just stares at Scott for a moment before getting in his face and lets out another Woooo! before walking off. This startles Taylor and seems to annoy both Arn and Tully.Light Heavyweight Title Match: Brian Christopher w/ Jacqueline vs. Aryan von RaschkeReferee: Danny Davis ECW Light Heavyweight Champion "Too Cool" Brian Christopher comes out with the Title and dances about the ring, climbing the turnbuckles as he raises it over his head while Jacqueline Moore looks on. "Ich tu der weh" by Rammstein then hits and out from the back charges Aryan von Raschke with both The Baron and The Blitzkrieg in tow. He wastes no time and sliding into the ring attacks the man who beat him for the Title! The early part of the match belongs to Aryan as he attempts to pin Christopher with a jumping leg lariat. Brian however quickly covers and reverses a whip hits Aryan with a huge back body drop!
The battle rages back and forth with Christopher getting a two count off his superkick before ducking an attempt by Aryan von Raschke to do the same and plants him with a bulldog, setting him up for the Hip Hop guillotine legDrop! The Baron however pulls his son from the ring and Brian catches an ass full of canvas! He's quick to recover however and using the ropes, springs over them to the outside landing on both Aryan and The Baron! All three men crash to the floor, but when Brian gets back up he is caught by the throat by The Blitzkrieg! He's about to get Telegraphed when "Mangler's Monster" is distracted by Jacquelien. Christopher escapes and rolls back into the ring. He's followed in by Aryan as Davis gets to a 6 count. Meanwhile Blitzkrieg gives chase to Moore around the ring.
Inside Brian and Aryan are once again trading punches with Christopher catching Von Raschke in a full nelson. Jacqueline however enters the ring to escape The Blitzkrieg's attentions and Aryan accidentally whips "Too Cool" into her! Brian Christopher is too busy apologizing to the downed "Miss Texas" to see Aryan Von Raschke come at him from behind, spin him and connect with the Sieg Heil! superkick! He makes the cover and picks up the win! Aryan von Raschke is once again the ECW Light Heavyweight Champion! He grabs the Title and hops out of the ring, leaving with the Baron and Blitzkrieg while Jacqueline checks on her man inside.Okerlund and Poffo welcome us back from the last commercial break of the evening before hyping tonight's huge Main Event which will see the second Semi-Final Tournament Match of the evening; the winner of tonight's Match to face "The American Nightmare" Dustin Rhodes next week to determine the # 1 contender for the Eastern States Championship! They talk about what happened last week between the Junkyard Dog and "The Dark Prophet" Brimstone. JYD was out in the ring talking about his good friend, the fallen Dick Murdoch when he was rudely interrupted by Brimstone who bad-mouthed Murdoch before turning the Dark Circle loose on JYD! The team handed him a massive beating which led to ECW President Eric Bischoff turning tonight's match into a Tag-Team Match considering that the Dark Circle would likely get involved either way. Both me were allowed to choose their teammate here tonight. They also inform us that they've just been given word if there's any interference here tonight, the perpetrator will be suspended indefinitely!
The lights then go out and mist fills the arena as voodoo drums pound.
Gertner: The follows contest is scheduled for one fall and is a Tournament Semi-Final Match with the winner moving on to the Final Round. Introducing first from the Bowels of Hell at a combined 567 lbs.; they are the team of "The Dark Prophet" Brimstone and "Blackjack" Barry Windham!
Brimstone and Windham take over the ring. Both Okerlund and Poffo think the Junkyard Dog has bit off more than he can chew here tonight. In fact, "The Genius" is sure of it. Just then "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen plays. Gertner: And now introducing at this time their first challenger from Charlotte, North Carolina weighing 280 lbs. he is the Junkyard Dog!
JYD appears on the ramp without the chain around his neck. Instead he's wearing Dick Murdoch's cowboy hat as he barks at the cheering crowd. Just then the music changes to...WWE: Dusty Rhodes 2nd Entrance Video -"Common Man Boogie" (HD)Gertner: And introducing his Tag-Team partner at this time from Austin, Texas weighing 302 lbs.; he is "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes!Main Event Semi-Final Tournament Match: Junkyard Dog & Dusty Rhodes vs. Brimstone & Barry WindhamReferee: S.D. Jones JYD is looking a little rough from his beating last week, so Dusty Rhodes starts things out with Barry Windham whom attempts to lock up with "The American Dream." Dusty however has other plans and keeps playing games with "Blackjack," continually wandering away before locking one hand and nailing a rather sneaky bionic elbow with the other! This seems to piss Barry off more than anything and he drives "The Dream" into the corner where he begins hammering on him! But Dusty starts fighting back and soon he's a clubberin' Windham about the ring! Barry begins swinging back and Dusty back off, the two men staring down one another from across the ring. Finally Barry approaches him and the two men lock up once more, but this time Rhodes wrenches his opponents arm and pulling him toward the corner tags in Junkyard Dog!
JYD immediately hammers at Windham's exposed arm and taking it himself wrenches it some more! The Dog then clobbers Barry down to the mat with a clothesline! But when Junkyard goes to pull his opponent to his feet, Windham rakes his eyes and drops him with a lariat of his own! "Blackjack" proceeds to stomp the dog out for a bit before walking over to his corner and tagging in "The Dark Prophet" Brimstone! The big man plods over to the Dog, giving him all the time he needs to get back to his feet where the two men stare one another down. They get nose to nose, talking trash to one another for a bit before Brimstone pushes JYD! The Dog pushes him right back and "The Prophet" nails him with a hard right as they begin brawling about the ring! JYD is definitely taking the worst of it, until he grabs his opponent and connects with a massive headbutt dropping Brimstone to the mat! Brimstone gets to his feet and can't believe it!
Just then however Dusty Rhodes enters the ring and grabbing Brimstone by his head runs him head first into Junkyard Dog again! This time Brimstone only staggers back and he looks pissed while "The Dream" and the Dog high five one another. Junkyard Dog wastes no more time and heading to the corner grabs Brimstone who counters with a knee to the gut! And grabbing his opponent in a headlock "The Dark Prophet" begins hammering away on his opponent's back! He then makes the tag to big Barry Windham!
He holds JYD back in the corner while Windham enters and begins kicking Junkyard in the gut! Barry then pulls The Dog into the center of the ring and taking him up off his feet hits a front powerslam! He makes the cover! But JYD powers out! Junkyard is slow to get up to his feet but when he does Barry grabs him by the head and hits a headbutt, which seems to hurt him worse than The Dog as he staggers back into the ropes! Barry is dazed and climbs out of the ring where Brimstone checks on him and inside Junkyard Dog barks for the crowd. Barry climbs back in as Jones' count reaches 6 and locking it up with The Dog, he easily wins a contest of strength, forcing Junkyard down to one knee before he belts him across the jaw. He then proceeds to whip JYD hard into his own corner where Windham follows him in and nails him with an uppercut that sees The Dog draped over the ropes! Forunately for him Dusty makes the blind tag and "The Dream" grabs their opponent from behind holding him in place until Junkyard lets him have it with a hard right hand!
Now the legal man Dusty pulls the dazed "Blackjack's" legs out from under him before dragging him into the middle of the ring by his leg where he very theatrically sets up the figure four! He doesn't get far however when Brimstone from the apron slingshots over the top rope and drops "The American Dream" with a diving clothesline! This gives Barry enough time to recover and he stomps a mudhole into Rhodes before lifting him up, whips him into the ropes and lays him flat with a dropkick! He doesn't make the pin however, instead picking Dusty pack up and whipping him once again. This time he looks for a back body drop but gets hit with a jumping DDT instead! Barry doesn't know what hit him as Dusty he stumbles up up and connects with a bionic elbow before tagging in the Junkyard Dog!
The Dog immediately grabs Barry in a front headlock and begins pounding on him, but "Blackjack" hoists the Dog up off his feet and hits him with a suplex! And then he tags in Brimstone! With JYD down "The Dark Prophet" begins stomping him out. He punishes the Dog for a bit before pulling him up to his feet and runs him head first into the top turnbuckle! He then forces the Dog into the corner and begins beating him! But JYD fights his way out, whips Brimstone into the opposing corner and connects with the Thump! front powerslam! He barks for the crowd again before making the cover and barely gets a two! JYD isn't deterred however and grabs Brimstone in a headlock as they get to their feet, but "The Prophet" whips The Dog across the ring into the ropes where Barry Windham jabs him with a quick knee to the back! And JYD is down! Brimstone however is right back up and helping JYD up to his feet nails him with a Tombstone Piledriver!
He isn't looking to pin him however and lifting the apparently unconscious JYD up to his feet he tags Barry Windham back in and the duo whip JYD into the ropes and take his head off with a double clothesline! Windham then makes the cover! But Dusty Rhodes breaks it up with a diving elbow drop! Barry in now back up and he's slugging it out with "The Dream" who's a clubberin' Windham about the ring again! Brimstone soon enters to break things up, only to find himself on the receiving end of a clubberin' of his own before Dusty whips him across the ring! But on the rebound he brings Dusty down hard with a clothesline! Barry is now back up and Jones wants Brimstone out of the ring. While he does the same to Dusty, Windham pulls JYD up to his feet, but Junkyard bits him! And there's now blood gushing from Windham's nose! And JYD whips him into the ropes! Blind tag from "The Dark Prophet!"
And as Windham rebounds across the ring, Junkyard grabs him by the head and slams it into that of Brimstone's! Brimstone falls back into the ropes and Junkyard is right on top of him! He pounds on the dazed Brimstone while Dusty Rhodes comes back in and the two men beat on "The Dark Prophet" before together setting the big man up for a double Brainbuster! And it connects! Brimstone is down as JYD hooks the leg! 1!... 2!....
3! JYD and Dusty Rhodes have won it! And now they're a celebratin' about the ring! The Dark Circle's music however then hits! And out on the ramp is Papa Shango and company! But before they can head down the ramp, they're joined by Rick Rude, William Regal, Rob Van Dam, The Funks, Tommy Dreamer, Dustin Rhodes, Dick Slater, Tim Brooks, the Koloffs, the Steiners; and damn near everybody else as they begin brawling with the Dark Circle who're eventually run off! From the brawl ECW then cuts to one last video.WWC: Dick Murdoch Interview and Cards (1991)Lights Fade.

6/29/96 - Viking Hall Philadelphia, PABuck Zumhoff and the Honky Tonk Man thank of for joining the original Rock 'N Roll broadcasting team for another exciting edition of ECW Weekend Warriors, tonight coming to you live from Viking Hall in Phildelphia, Pennsylvania! They say they have an action-packed card for us tonight and talk a bit about how some of the bloodiest bouts in Eastern Championship history occured in this very building including the brutal Off The Chain Match between "Ravishing" Rick Rude and the Junkyard Dog on February 8th of last year. They then run down tonight's huge card which will see both the Women's Champ Tiffany and the newly former ECW Light Heavyweight Champion "Too Cool" Brian Christopher in non-Title action. Buck thinks saying the former Champ is in non-Title action is kind of redundant no? Just like Zumhoff being on this show, quips the HTM.Joel Gertner makes the introductions and Danny Davis officiates all matches.Match: Tiffany vs. Rockin' Robin Rocking Robin' gets two counts off a bulldog and later a flying crossbody from the top rope during this back and forth contest which sees the ECW Women's Champion Tiffany finish her opponent off with the Iconoclasm. After the match "Gorgeous" Michele Starr comes out with his pink feathered boa draped about him along with his Tag-Team partner Joe E. Legend. He mocks Tiffany for her appearance, saying that there's only one performer in the ECW locker room who looks like a true diva. Only one lady who fits the ideal of perfection with the perfect hair, the perfect figure; and the perfect panache. And that same goddess is the only person who should be wearing the ECW Women's Championship! And that person of course is "The Gorgeous One" himself! And next week right here on ECW Weekend Warriors little Miss Tiffany had better be ready, because Michele Starr will be here to claim what's rightfully his!Tag-Team Match: The Mexi-Kings vs. Sex & Violence "The Gorgeous One" Michele Starr and Joe E. Legend are already inside the ring with Erazo Rodriguez and Shawn Hernandez whom we're told are now referring to themselves as The Mexi-Kings when ECW returns. Davis is about to get the match underway when "Fire" by Scooter hits and out from the back comes "Mr. Wrestling" Steve Corino and big Jason Venom. Unfortunately according to Buck, Corino is armed with his usual weapon of choice: a microphone.Corino heads down the ramp asking Venom if he smells a pair of rats. A pair of dirty scabs come to steal their jobs? Wasting valuable air-time with their unskilled labor? Well Senor Rodriguez? Senor Hernandez? What do you have to say for yourselves, eh holmes?!
Just then however Legend and Starr attack the Mexi-Kings from behind! Sex & Violence fair well early on as big Joe goes head to head with Shawn and Michele grapples with Erazo who drops "The Gorgeous One" with a neckbreaker! From there he and Shawn Hernandez double-team Joe E. Legend whom they whip across the ring and send crashing to the outside with a double clothesline! Shawn Hernandez then catches Michele Starr who's busy scurrying from the ring and nails him with a brutal looking throwing crucifix powerbomb that HTM claims is called the Border Toss before making the cover for the three count. Hernandez then scoops Starr up and looks to hurl him out of the ring on top of Corino and Venom with a military press!
But as he hoists Starr up, Steve and Jason storm the ring! And big Venom nails Hernandez with a huge spear sending both Shawn and Michele crashing down to the mat! Steve Corino meanwhile is trading punches with Erazo who is holding his own until Jason joins the fray and the big man scoops up Rodriquez onto his shoulders and hits him with the Venom sheer-drop release powerbomb right on top of Hernandez! The cocky "Mr. Wrestling" then covers them both and demands Danny Davis make the count! Davis isn't going along with it until being intimidated by Jason Venom and then slaps the three. Corino makes the ref raise their hands as ECW is taken to...

The ECW Wednesday Nights logo then appears. After the break Buck Zumhoff and HTM talk about this past Wednesday's show which paid tribute to "Captain Redneck" Dick Murdoch. They express their condolences to the Murdoch family and thank all the fans who either donated money or bought ECW merchandise to help Dick's family out in their time of need. They then play a video package of Dick Murdoch's time here in Eastern Championship. Starting with his first match on 12/8/93 in a winning effort by him and Deep South Tag-Team partner Junkyard Dog against the Killer Bees, moving on through his feud with Arn Anderson and "The Superstar" Scott Taylor last year which ended in a Texas Bullrope Career vs. Hair match on 7/18/95; after which Taylor got his head shaved by the victorious Murdoch. We're then brought to this year where the video focuses on his feud with former Tag-Team partner Junkyard Dog which ended in a Dog Collar Grudge Match with JYD at Hardcore Heaven '96 on 5/2! Finally we see Murdoch's last match which took place on 6/1/96 where Dick Murdoch defeated "The Leprechaun" Erin O'Grady to move on to the Third Round of the ongoing Tournament to determine the # 1 Contender for the Eastern States Championship. Finally a graphic comes up with Dick Murdoch 1946-1996 on it.Match: Brian Christopher w/ Jacqueline vs. Prince Nana Osei Bandoh The match starts and the announcers talk about "Too Cool" Brian Christopher's loss of the ECW Light Heavyweight Championship this past week on the Main show. Honky says that Buck must be relieved someone finally had a shorter reign with the Title than him. Prince Nana Osei Bandoh (or Prince Bananas as HTM calls him) does well early on, but after a two count following a body avalanche from Bandoh; Brian Christopher mounts a comeback and ends up putting the Ghanan Prince away with the Hip Hop guillotine legdrop. Buck remarks on Jacqueline Moore having some apparent issues with Christopher throughout the match. After the match we're taken back stage for Buck Zumhoff's "Rock 'N Rolling" segment where he invites us to party with one of "Mr. Wrestling" Steve Corino's favorite's "Fire" by Scooter!Scooter - Fire (Official Video HQ)Buck Zumhoff and the Honky Tonk Man welcome us back from the last commercial break of the evening before hyping tonight's huge Main Event! They say that "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson requested this match after last week's shenanigans with The Green Berets when Corporal Kirchner helped Craig Pittman jump Scott Taylor after Taylor beat him with the diving high-angle chop drop. Arn ran in to make the save, but not until after the Cpl. and Sgt. stomped out Anderson's recently returned protegee for a bit.
Gertner: The following Tag-Team contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first from the U.S. Marine Corp weighing in at a combined 513 lbs.; they are Corporal Kirchner and Sgt. Craig Pittman; The Green Berets!
The Berets come down waving around the American flag until...
Gertner: And introducing their opponents this evening weighing a combined 462 lbs.; they are Scott Taylor and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson!Main Event: Arn Anderson & Scott Taylor vs. The Green Berets Kirchner & Pittman Scott Taylor wants some payback on Corporal Kirchner last week and he gets it early on as he takes him down with several dropkicks. The bigger Kirchner however takes Taylor down with a football tackle before locking him in the Camel Clutch! He yells at Scott to tap, but he fights it while Arn cheers him on. Finally giving up, the Cpl. drops his opponent and mugs for the crowd. This prevents him from seeing Scott Taylor kip-up however and when the fans begin cheering; he walks right into a superkick! Taylor then makes the tag to Arn.
Inside the ring "The Enforcer" delivers an elbow drop on Kirchner and begins working him over with various holds. The Corporal is desperate to get to his corner and after several failed attempts finally makes it after dropping Arn with a short-armed clothesline! Anderson is right after him, but not fast enough. And in comes Sgt. Craig Pittman!
Pittman fairs better against Arn off the bat, hitting an atomic drop on the former ECW Champ whom he later treats to a visit in the Code Red armbar! Anderson fights his way out however and after staggering the Sarge with a sitour jawbreaker he takes control of the match, getting a two count off of the Green Beret when he lays him flat with a spinebuster. He then tags in Scott Taylor! Taylor comes in all fired up and takes Pittman down with a double dose of clotheslines! Craig soon recovers however and the two men battle back and forth with Pittman nitting a powerslam/legdrop combo on Taylor before making the cover and getting a two. Scott however gives better than he gets, nailing his opponent with a running bulldog, a belly to back suplex and a dropkick before John Rambo suddenly rushes the ring! The former Green Beret member charges in and takes Taylor's head off with a clothesline! Arn Anderson quickly enters the ring however and fights Rambo with the two men spilling out of the ring over the top rope. He and Kirchner begin double-teaming Arn on the outside! Inside the ring Craig Pittman looks to capitalize, setting Scott Taylor up for a suplex; but as he goes over Taylor hops out landing on the mat and as the Sergeant hits his back to the mat; Scott nails the high-angle chop drop on him! He makes the cover and picks up the win!
On the outside however Arn Anderson isn't doing to good against the reunited Green Berets and Taylor runs the ropes, charges across the ring and takes both Kirchner and Rambo down to the floor with a tope dive! Back up, he helps "The Enforcer" make short work of the duo before heading up the ramp victorious!
Entering the ring Corporal Kirchner and John Rambo then turn on Craig Pittman; beating down their former ally!
Lights Fade.
