MERCER: Welcome to World Class Championship Wrestling! International Star Wars: The Firecracker Spectacular is in the wrestling history books now and what an outstanding card it was! A new American Champion and new American Tag Team Champions crowned on that incredible evening at Reunion Arena! Let's take a musical look at the event right now!

MERCER: As you saw, the American Title changed hands under very dubious circumstances. The day after the title change, Ron Garvin had these comments!
VTR:
Ron Garvin, his face heavily bandaged, stands in front of the WCCW logo.
GARVIN: All you people can see two things! Number one, my face looks like a mummy! Number two, I don't have my championship belt! Well, Eddie Gilbert burned me just like he burned my friend Brad Armstrong! Gilbert, that's not wrestling! That's risking robbing a man of his livelihood! I can guarantee you, Mr. Hot Stuff, that I ain't through with you, not by a long shot! Next week's Tv is coming from the rodeo arena in Mesquite, Texas! I've never been to Mesquite and I've never had a match in a rodeo arena! But I promis you people that I'll be there next weekin my boots and my tights! One way or another, I'll be in the ring with Eddie Gilbert! You can bring your punk brother and you can bring your floozy! (holds up fist) I'll bring this! The most dangerous weapon in the sport of profesional wrestling!
Cut to ringside at the Sportatorium
MERCER: The masked man, Dr. Detroit is waiting in the ring and his opponent, that super sensational Iceman Parsons is on his way!
Iceman Parsons vs. Dr. Detroit: The masked man has obvious skilled, but he's no match for Parsons who hits the butt butt and scores the convincing 1-2-3!
MERCER: My colleague Mark Lowrance is standing by with the Iceman!
LOWRANCE: Ice, your match at International Star Wars was interrupted by the return of General Skandor Akbar!
ICEMAN: Like Mama says, Mark, it bes dat way sometimes! Gerneral Skandor Akbar, I thought I'd seen the last of you! But you're like a scary movie...they think the monster is killed, but at the last second, it rears it's ugly head!I don't know what you got planned for World Class, General, but I can guarantee you the Iceman is ready for it! And my main man, the Black Superman, Tony Atlas, is behind me no matter what! But I don't wanna dwell on the bad, Mark Lowrance!
LOWRANCE: Yes, you said you had an announcement today!
ICEMAN: Not long ago, I was in the gym working out when two young brothers came up and said, “Ice, we're wrestlers just getting started and we'd appreciate it if you'd watch us work out in the ring and tell us what you think.” I sat down and watched these kids work out in the ring. Mark, after about two minutes, I was sitting there with my mouth hanging open! I saw moves I've never seen anywhere! These two young men are Starfire and Scorpio and they'll wrestle here on TV next week! They are gonna revolutionize tag team wrestling forever and you got the Iceman's word on it!

ROBERTS: Look at this incredible group of professional wrestlers! We are the Fabulous Blodes and we are putting the wrestling world, especially that goof, Sid Vicious, on notice! We are here to win belts and break bones! With the newest addition to our group, “Prime Time” Brian Lee, it's only a matter of time!
EMBRY: It's real simple man! Doug Somers and Ken Timbs were weak links, so we sent 'em home! We brought in Mr. Magnificent, the man with the unbreakable full nelson! The man who kicked Sid Vicious' tail all over Reunion Arena! We got the man all the promoters wanted, the blue chip prospect, Brian Lee! Next week, here on TV, all four of us will be together in a tag team match! Then you'll see just how great the Blondes really are!
Sid Vicious vs. Tarras Bulba: Bulba looks menacing, but he's no match for big Sid. Sid uses the cobra clutch to gain the submission victory!
LOWRANCE: I'm here with big Sid Vicious after yet another convincing win! Sid, at the Firecracker Spectacular, it looked like you had the submission match with Mr. Magnificent well in hand until the Fabulous Blondes introduced yet another member! This time, it was another big man, “Prime Time” Brian Lee!
SID: It looks like the Blondes know they can't get it done in a fair fight, so they bring in more and more bleached blonde jerks! Yeah, Brian Lee is a big guy and Kevin Kelly looks real impressive! You got that Eric Embry, probably the sneakiest weasel goin today! You got Buddy Jack Roberts, a guy who knows every dirty trick in the book! I think he even wrote the stinkin book! Well, I promised some friends of mine that I'd take the Blondes down, once and for all! I'm gonna keep that promise, come hell or high water! If I have to take you down one at a time or all at once, I'll get the job done!
MARK: Folks, he sounds dead serious! Right now, let's hear from our Texas Champion!

Al Perez and Gary Hart are in the dressing room, dressed in suits.
HART: Today, this man, the hottest athlete in our sport today, the Latin Heartthrob, the great Al Perez, will defend his Texas Title and he'll do so much more than that! He'll help me fulfill a goal I've had for nearly 20 years! Lance Von Erich is the last Von Erich wrestling in the state of Texas! After you eliminate him today, I'll finally finish what I started with that idiot Fritz back in the late 60's! I'll wipe the Von erich name off the face of the state of Texas, once and for all!
PEREZ: It will be my pleasure! I am well on my way to being the greatest Texas Champion of all time! I'm inviting every wrestler in the World Class to line up and take their best shot! Sid Vicious! Missing Link! Brad Armstrong!The Patriot! I gave Chris Adams the wrestling lesson of his life back in Reunion, but he can try again, or he can let that skinny buddy of his from England go for it! Blackjack Mulligan! Kendall Windham! Ragin Bull! They're all welcome to come after my belt! The Latin Heartthrob is the best, baby, and I'm ready to prove it!
HART: Let me say to the Simpson boys, you skinny Africans stole the belts from Chris and Sean, but don't rest easy! The New Breed ain't done by a long shot!

The Patriot vs. Spike Huber: Huber has his moments, but falls prey to a shoulderblock off the top rope and the Patriot continues his winning ways! During the match, the camera catches two familiar figures scouting the Patriot from a corner of the building...

TEXAS TITLE MATCH: Al Perez(w/Gary Hart) © vs. Lance Von Erich: An evenly matched bout for Perez's title. The turning point occurs when Lance takes a spill from the ring and appears to injure his ankle. The vicious Perez capitalizes and eventually, he scores the win via the spinning toehold.
VTR: Eddie Gilbert standing in the Reunion Arena dressing room, American Title around his waist and Missy Hyatt by his side.
GILBERT: The First Family is on top just like I said we'd be, baby!
MISSY: That's right, Hot Stuff!
GILBERT: I have the American Title! My brother Doug is the hottest rookie in the sport and it's only a matter of time before he's Texas Champion! The only problem is that we're so busy with our individual careers that we really don't have time for a lot of tag team matches! Oh, we've got time to kick the butts of Brad Armstrong and that goof, the Missing Link on TV this week...
MISSY: And don't forget that I'll slap that bimbo Sunshine around if she gets involved!
GILBERT: Of course, baby! But Dougie and me can't be a full time team and go after those punks, Steve & Shaun Simpson, who stole the belts from the New Breed! That means it's time to expand the First Family! Two of my best friends happen to be the hottest tag team in the sport! Kenny Wayne & Danny Davis, the Nightmares! Stev & Shaun, you punks aren't in the same league as the Nightmares! I just happen to have a music video that a pal of mine named Alice Cooper provided the tune for that shows just what Kenny & Danny are capable of!
MISSY: They are awesome! Just watch!

MAIN EVENT: Eddie & Doug Gilbert (w/Missy Hyatt) vs. Missing Link & Brad Armstrong (w/Sunshine)
The music plays and the First Family enters the Sportatorium to a chorus of boos and catcalls. Then, the music changes...
Sunshine leads the Missing Link and Brad Armstrong to the ring. Brad still wears a bandage on his chest from where Eddie Gilbert burnt him.
This is a red hot match with several near falls. The Gilberts use foreign objects to gain an advantage on the Link and work him over for several minutes. Finally, the Link makes the hot tag and Armstrong comes in like a wildman! Brad gets the pin on Doug after the Russian leg sweep. Missy tried to interfere, but Sunshine cuts her off! After the match, the faces stand tall in the ring and soak in the cheers of the fans!

MERCER: Next week, we'll be originating from the Mesquite Rodeo Arena for another action packed program! We'll see the team that Iceman told us about, Starfire & Scorpio!
