I voted Garvin based on experience. I would have Sid warming up in the bullpen, ready to take over at some point in 1989.

I personally went with Brad Armstrong, who was so solid in this era. Ronnie Garvin is a good choice too.
I really enjoy the story you're telling with Sid, but to me, the logical conclusion of it is for him to turn heel.

I went with Armstrong too. I think he was underappreciated IRL outside the of the southeast, and I think he could be a good top face for you in WCCW.
