MERCER: Welcome to World Class Championship Wrestling! This week, we have some very important matches! We will have a four man tournament to determine Ron Garvin's challenger for the American Title on July 5th at Reunion Arena! The competitors will be Eddie Gilbert, Tito Santana, Texas Champion Al Perez, and Brad Armstrong! Right now, our American Champion is on tour out on the East Coast, but our camera crew caught up with him last week before a match!

GARVIN: Today, there's gonna be four men competing for a title match against me in Reunion Arena on July 5th! Four of the best wrestlers in World Class! I'm a fighting champion and I'll be glad to wrestle any of 'em! Right now, I'm on tour, defending my title against some great wrestlers in the Southeast and on the East Coast! I promise you that when I come back to the World Class area, I'll still have the title! I also promise Ricky Steamboat that I still haven't forgotten you and I still want another shot at that title!I'm proud to be your champion and I'm gonna do everything I can to make you people proud of me!
MERCER: And I'm sure we're all very proud of the American Champion!Today, we're going to have the expert analysis of one of the top wrestlers in World Class, the “Ragin Bull”, Manny Fernandez! Manny, we have a great tournament this week with the winner getting a match for the American Champion, Ronnie Garvin!
FERNANDEZ: Bill Mercer, I don't understand why I'm not in this thing! The Bull has beaten everybody they've put in front of me! I deserve a match with Garvin! This is gonna be a great four man tournament, though, and I'm gonna be interested in seeing who comes out on top! Not only that, we've got two big tag team matches this week that will rock the house!
MERCER: We'll get it going right after these messages!

“Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert (w/Missy Hyatt) vs. Tito Santana: Fernandez grudgingly admits that Santana is probably the toughest man he's ever wrestled. This is a fast paced match that is clean for the most part. Santana is on the offensive and it looks like he'll win, but Gilbert hits the hot shot and scores the win to advance!
MERCER: A huge win for the newcomer, Eddie Gilbert!
FERNANDEZ: To beat Santana like that, he has to be tough! I wouldn't be surprised if Eddie Gilbert is the next American Champion!
MERCER: The Hot Stuff man will meet the winner of our next match: Texas Champion Al Perez against the sensational Brad Armstrong!

AL Perez (w/ Gary Hart) vs. Brad Armstrong: Perez's Texas Title is not on the line here. For the second match in a row, we see a fast paced match with very few rules broken. After several near falls, Brad hits the Russian leg sweepand pins the Texas Champ! Gary Hart can't believe it as the fans go wild!
MERCER: It will be Brad Armstrong against Eddie Gilbert with an American Title match at stake!
FERNANDEZ: Armstrong just beat the Texas Champion, but I think my money is on “hot Stuff”!

MERCER: Last week, the challenge was made! Today, we'll see the Patriot and his friend, Airborne Ranger veteran Corporal Kirchner against members of the International Army, Warlord Jonathan Boyd & The Iron Sheik!
Boyd & the Sheik come to the ring and nearly get booed out of the building! Boyd waves the New Zealand flag and Sheik waves the Iranian flag! Then, we hear....
Corporal Kirchner comes to the ring, carrying Old Glory, followed by the masked sensation, the Patriot!
Corporal Kirchner & the Patriot vs. Warlord Jonathan Boyd & the Iron Sheik : The Americans get the advantage early and have the crowd rocking! Boyd uses a foreign object to turn the tide of the match. After that, Boyd and the Sheik work Patriot over for several minutes. The Patriot fires up and makes a big comeback on Boyd! The Iron Sheik comes in and nails the Patriot with the flagpole of his Iranian flag! Corporal Kirchner comes in and the former Ranger is cleaning house!Hold on! Somebody is coming in! Who is it?
It's NIKOLAI VOLKOFF & BORIS ZHUKOV!!!!! Mercer exclaims that these two Russians don't even wrestle in WCCW! The Russians attack Kirchner and the Patriot! Zhukov, Volkoff, Sheik, & Boyd are delivering a brutal beatdown on Patriot and Kirchner! Fernandez says “Not again! No!” Suddenly, the Bull leaves the broadcast position and enters the ring with a steel chair! What is Fernandez going to do?
FERNANDEZ NAILS BOYD! FERNANDEZ NAILS THE SHEIK! FERNANDEZ BLASTS ZHUKOV! THE RAGIN BULL HAS CLEANED HOUSE AND HE'S STANDING TALL!
The fans are standing and applauding, but everybody has to wonder what caused the Ragin Bull to rescue the Patriot and Corporal Kirchner?

NON-TITLE MATCH: The New Breed (Sean Royal & Chris Champion) (w/Gary Hart) vs. Shawn & Steve Simpson: American Tag Champs The New Breed face the Simpsons in a battle of two of the hottest young teams in wrestling. Lots of speed and athleticism on display here. The match spills out of the ring and the two teams fight to a double countout. Hart nails Steve on the back of the head with a loaded sock and knocks him unconscious! Then, the New Breed beat Shaun down! The Champs leave the Simpson brothers laid out on the floor of the Coliseum! I'll bet we haven't heard the last of this!

“Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert (w/ Missy Hyatt) vs. Brad Armstrong: Armstrong is fired up and he has Gilbert reeling from the opening bell! “Hot Stuff” goes on the defensive and spends most of his time on the floor, getting aid and comfort from Missy Hyatt! It looks like it's all over when Brad hits the Russian leg sweep and covers Gilbert! One...two...th...Gilbert is too close to the ropes! Hot Stuff rolls out to the floor and into the arms of Missy. Missy takes something out of her purse and gives it to Eddie! Gilbert rolls into the ring. Armstrong whips Gilbert into the corner! Gilbert hits hard and he's begging off! Missy climbs onto the apron and distracts referee Ralph Pulley! Armstrong Stalks into the corner, fists clinched....
GILBERT THROWS A FIREBALL AND HITS ARMSTRONG RIGHT ON THE CHEST!!!
Armstrong goes down and Gilbert covers! ONE...TWO...THREE!!!! GILBERT HAS STOOPED TO THE LOWEST TACTICS EVER!!!!EDDIE GILBERT WILL WRESTLE RON GARVIN FOR HIS AMERICAN TITLE AT THE FIRECRACKER SPECTACULAR!!!!
Missy and Doug Gilbert are in the ring, celebrating with Gilbert! WHAT A SCENE HERE AT WILL ROGERS!!!!
MERCER: International Star Wars: The Firecracker Spectacular is shaping up to be a huge card! Ron Garvin defends the American Title against “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert! Also the Windham/Mulligan Family Reunion as Kendall Windham & Blackjack Mulligan reunite with Barry Windham against Terry Funk, John Studd, & Buzz Sawyer! And, of course, Sid Vicious will take on “Mr. Magnificent” Kevin Kelly in a match that can only be won via submission holds! That's July 5th at Reunion Arena in Dallas, Texas! Just signed: Al Perez will defend the Texas Title against Gentleman Chris Adams!
Next week, we'll try to get an explanation from Manny Fernandez! Doug Gilbert of the First Family will wrestle the Missing Link! To add intrigue and spice to that match, Sunshine will be in the Link's corner and Missy Hyatt will second Doug Gilbert! Al Perez will defend his Texas Title against Manny Vialobos on the card! There's going to be some great excitement right here next week on World Class Championship Wrestling!
