Mike Tenay and Bobby Heenan open the show.
Tenay, “Brain, have your nerves settled after last week?”
Heenan, “I think so, but that guy’s nuts.”
Tenay, “The Brain’s talking about Copperhead Jones. Let’s see what happened last week.”
The lights go out again and Jones lights the lantern. He leads Jonah and Habbukkak to the announce table.
Jones, “Brother Heenan, you appear to not be trusting of Copperhead Jones. You have not seen the signs, look, look deep. you are a man that can serve us well in our battle against evil.”
For once in his life, Heenan is speechless.
Jones reaches into his coat and blows out the lantern. The lights come on and there is a snake on the table in front of Heenan. The Brain and Tenay jump back. Tenay looks at the snake.
Tenay, “It’s fake, it’s made of rubber!”
Jones, “Brother Heenan, you have been tested and found wanting. Do not dismay, you will see the signs and you will be an ally in our struggle.”
The program ends with Heenan and Tenay standing with stunned looks on their faces.
Tenay, “Brain, what do you think?”
Heenan, “Jones is nut! You know, Tenay, before the matches, you see the wrestlers and other guys walking around, in the dressing rooms, in the hall with the food, but you don’t see Jones and those two. Where do they come from, where are they?”
Tenay, “Brain, that’s a good point. We don’t know much about them, but we are going to see Johan and Habbukkak in the ring tonight.”
Heenan, “You might not see me.”
Tenay, “I hope you stay around. Besides the Copperheads, we will have a TV Title match. Bradshaw takes on the Patriot, the Giant will be here and Hulk Hogan will be in ‘Piper’s PIt’ to talk about Sid Vicious.”

We see the Piper’s Pit set. Piper walks out.
Piper, “Hello Detroit! This is ‘Piper’s Pit!’ I’ve had a lot of guests over the years, some of liked, some not so much. This guy covers both of them, Hulk Hogan!”
Hogan comes out and the crowd comes out. Both men hesitate and then shake hands.
Piper, “We’ve been enemies, we’ve been friends, tonight I’m a journalist, I’ve got the tough questions. Last week you challenged Sid Vicious for an American Title shot. You think you can win, most of the fans think you can win, but some of the experts, and some of them I trust, say your time has passed. You first won the WWF Title 12 years ago. They think you’re too old to beat Sid. What do you say to that?”
Hogan, “Look Brother, Hulk Hogan has been on top for a long time, and I’ve got some mileage on me. I won’t deny this, but these 24 inch pythons and the millions of Hulkamaniacs behind me, what’s Sid gonna do when I come after him? What Piper?”
Piper, “Hulk I gotta tell you, you were great, but Sid is great. I don’t know if you can beat him.”
Hogan, “Then I guess you’re just one more man I have to convince!”
Match #9
American Television Championship
Bradshaw (Champion) vs. The Patriot
The masked man is primed and ready, but it won’t be easy to take the title from the tough Texan. The first few minutes are a slugfest. Neither man takes a step back and the fans love the action. The match is dead even. Bradshaw hits a suplex and covers the masked man, but the Patriot kicks out before referee Jack Doane’s count reaches three. The time limit expires with neither man able to gain a fall.

Tenay and Heenan are in the announce position.
Tenay, “Brain, you know who’s next?”
Heenan, “Yes I do. I think I heard someone call me in the back.”
Tenay, “Stay here Brain, let’s see what happens.”
The lights go out and we hear,
Copperhead Jones, carrying a lantern, leads Jonah and Habbakkuk to the ring. He stops at the pulpit and the two huge men hit the ring.

Jones, “Brother Brain, last week, I asked you to search your heart, to look for the signs. We need you in our struggle. Come stand with us, fight the evil in ACW. You can be an asset in our struggle. I won’t press you this week. Have you answer next week. We need you.”
The lights come on and the camera pans to ‘Tenay and Heenan.
Tenay, “Brain, what’s going on?”
Heenan, “Well I...I...ah...”
The show ends.
