- Thatcher and Weaver welcomed everyone in, and was joined by Promoter Ron Fuller. Fuller drew today's challenger to the TV Title held by the Russian Assassin, and it was Tim Horner. Fuller talked about how the Hot Summer Nights Tour was a huge success, and thanked all the fans for that. He then unveiled a huge announcement, saying that SMW has just signed a deal with TNN...The Nashville Network, to air Smoky Mountain Wrestling for two hours every Saturday night from 10pm to midnight, right after Crook & Chase. That starts in two weeks on Saturday night August 12. He said for those fans without cable TV, not to worry, as they'll still see SMW action right here on whatever channel you currently watch it on just like normal. Thatcher and Weaver put over the huge news as Thatcher announced the first match of the broadcast.
- "Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant & "Pistol" Pez Whatley def. Carl Styles and Gypsy Joe when Pez hit Styles with a headbutt, and Valiant finished him off with an elbow drop.
- Boogie and Pez did an interview calling out SMW Tag Team Champions, The Original Midnight Express

- Ole Anderson def. Allen Martin with a diving knee from the top rope into the shoulder of Martin.
- Ole did an interview saying that Ivan Koloff has stuck his nose in Ole's business too many times, and he is going to take him out of the picture, and he's coming for Pietrov and the SMW belt too.

- Thatcher and Weaver said that we'll be seeing several new faces in SMW over the coming weeks, as a lot of top wrestlers from around the world want to compete here. Today, we get our first look at Vic Steamboat...the younger brother of Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat.
- Vic Steamboat pinned Johnny K-9 after a flying chop from the top rope.

- All three Russians were out for an interview. Ivan done the talking as he said that Horner has no chance today against the Russian Assassin, Ole Anderson is foolish for trying to come after him and Vladimir, and Vladimir showed the whole word that Russia has superior athletes when he beat Jim Duggan for the title at the Hot Summer Nights.
- SMW Television Champion, the Russian Assassin retained in a competitive match over "White Lightning" Tim Horner

- SMW Tag Team Champions, The Original Midnight Express did an interview saying they proved they are the best tag team in SMW when they beat the Rock & Roll Express, and now, The Rich Cousins are going to be next to find out how good the Express is, and Boogie & Pez better be careful what they wish for.
- The Original Midnight Express def. Mike Barber and Gerald Finley with a Rocket Launcher on Barber.
- "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan closed the show with an interview saying that he took on Pietrov is his kind of match, and that cost him the belt. He told the fans that he ain't through with the Russians, and he is going to get the SMW belt back soon. Thatcher wrapped it up saying that he feels like dark days are here for SMW with the Russians in control of the title.
