Vince McMahon and Jesse Ventura open the show.
McMahon, “Welcome to ‘WWF Superstars’! Jesse, Hulk Hogan is here today, just to make you look bad!”
Ventura, “Keep talking McMahon, I still stand by my sources.”
McMahon, “Keep dreaming Jesse. On top of Hogan vs. Virgil, we have a great ‘Snake Pit’, Jake Roberts will talk with the WWF Champion, Randy Savage, and Roddy Piper. Those two will team up on July 4! Can they get along?”
Ventura, “I’ll answer that..NO!”
McMahon, “I think they can! Let’s get things started.”
Match #1
Billy Jack Haynes vs. The Red Demon
The “Portland Powerhouse” takes on the devious masked man. The Demon jumps Billy Jack as he is taking off his jacket. He works over Haynes, and it looks bad for Billy. Haynes starts to rally. The Demon puts up a fight, but Haynes is too much. He wins with the full Nelson.
Winner-Billy Jack Haynes
Match #2
Mr. Perfect w/Bobby “The Brain” Heenan vs. Chris Carter
The skilled Perfect goes right after young Carter. Chris fights back. Heenan shouts instructions. Perfect puts on an impressive display of mat wrestling.. Carter is in trouble. Perfect hits the Perfect plex for the win.
Winner-Mr. Perfect
“Mean” Gene Okerlund is with Mr. Fuji, and a new tag team.
Okerlund, “With me is a man you all know! Mr. Fuji, you have returned, and with a new tag team.”
Fugi, “Yes, Master Fuji is back. My Demolition let me down, lost titles to worthless Americans. Now we must make amends. This is the Orient Express, Tanaka, and Kato. We will regain titles, and master Fuji will rise to the top of wrestling managers, mark my words.”
Okerlund, “Mr. Fuji is back, and with the Orient Express.”
Match #3
The Orient Express w/Mr. Fuji vs. Jerry Allen and S.D. Jones
Fugi’s new team looks very good. The masked Kato opens up with the muscular Allen. Kato is quick, and skilled in the martial arts. He works over Allen, and tags in Tanaka. He uses his martial arts skills to punish Allen. Jones tags in and fares no better. Tanaka ends things with a karate kick. Fuji is back in the tag team game.
Winners-The Orient Express
Match #4
“Le Magnifique” Richard Charland w/Frenchy Martin vs. Hillbilly Jim
The tough French Canadian takes on the big Hillbilly from Mudlick. Jim starts quickly. The Cedar Rapids crowd is behind him. He roughs up Charland, and Richard takes to the floor to confer with Martin. He returns, and the brawl continues. They go back and forth until Martin distracts Jim. This allows Charland to hit the piledriver for the win.
Winner-Richard Charland
We see the “Snake Pit” set. Jake Roberts walks out.
Roberts, “July 4, ‘Red, White, and Boom’, what a night it will be. We know there is one big tag team match that night. The Bolsheviks are coming to Philadelphia to prove that Russia is better that the US. You know, Jake Roberts is a loner, he does things by himself, but I’m an American, and I’m proud of that. I want to see those Russians shut up. The team that is going to try to do that, may not be able to work together. I’m going to get to the bottom of that today. Let’s bring out Roddy Piper!”
Piper walks out and shakes hands with Jake.
Roberts, “Piper, let’s get right to the point. First of all you aren’t even an American, and can you and Savage get along?”
Piper, “You know something, I know a lot about ‘pits’, you ask good questions, not as good as me, but not bad. Let me answer those questions. I’m not an American, I was born in Scotland, and grew up in Canada. I’m in this country on a Green Card. But..my wife’s an America, my daughters were born here! Now I’m as American as apple pie! I love this country! I’ll lay down my life for American, and Savage, you work with me, and we’ll do it! It’s up to you!”
Roberts, “That’s half the story. Now let’s here from Savage.”
Randy Savage walks out. He and Piper stare one another down.
Roberts, “Alright Savage, Piper says he’s all in. It’s up to you.”
Savage, “Jake ‘The Snake’, you get right to the point, yes you do! Now Piper, you and I have a lot of history, lot of history oh yea! You say you love America, well so do I! You do your part, don’t worry about me! I’ll hold up my end, yes I will, ohhhhh yeaaaaa!”
Piper and Savage are still eye to eye. Hesitantly, they extend their hands, and shake. The crowd explode.
Roberts, “It looks like we have a team!”

Non-Title Match
The Von Erich Brothers (WWF Tag Team Champions) vs. The Kelly Twins
Two pairs of brothers meet in this one. The Von Erich's seem to get better each time out. Kevin starts with Mike Kelly. Kevin is very aggressive, and Kelly is on the run. Kevin goes for the iron claw, but Kelly reaches the ropes. He tags in Pat, and the other twin tries his hand. He looks good, but Kevin tags in Kerry. The muscular Texan goes to work. He overpowers Kelly, and wins with the tornado punch.
Winners-The Von Erich Brothers
“Mean” Gene Okerlund is with Hulk Hogan.
Okerlund, “Fans, what a day! With me is the Incredible Hulk Hogan, Hulkster, there were a lot of rumors, some said, particularly Jesse Ventura, that you were finished with wrestling! You were afraid of Andre the Giant!”
Hogan, “You know something ‘Mean Gene’, Jesse Ventura has always been a liar! He’s jealous of me, he always has been! I was recuperating, gaining strength, and now I’m ready! Virgil, you’re first, and then Andre, you big stinky Giant, what ‘cha gonna’ do when Hulkamania runs all over you?!”
Okerlund, “The Hulkster is ready!”
Match #6
Virgil w/”Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase vs. Hulk Hogan
Virgil, DiBiase, and referee Earl Hebner wait in the ring.
Plays, and the “Hulkster” comes to the ring. He enters the ring, and tears off his shirt. The crowd goes crazy. Virgil hightails in out of the ring. He and DiBiase confer. Virgil returns to the ring and goes after Hogan. That was a mistake. The Hulkster is at his best. He overpowers Virgil. Hogan slams Virgil and hits the leg drop for the win. Hogan poses in the ring. “The Million Dollar Giant “ comes to the ring. He, DiBiase, and Virgil climb into the ring. Hogan is ready for action. DiBiase takes the mic.
DiBiase, “Easy Hogan, easy, we don’t want any trouble. I’ve got a deal for you. You say you’re not quitting wrestling. You say you want the ‘Million Dollar Giant’ in the ring. SummerSlam is coming up in August. That’s a big deal. How about this, you and the Giant, in a steel cage?!”
Hogan quickly agrees.
DiBiase, “One more thing, if you lose, you retire!”
Hogan takes the mic.
Hogan, “‘Multi-Million Dollar Man’, you got a deal!”
The crowd goes crazy.
Winner-Hulk Hogan
Vince McMahon, and Jesse Ventura close the show.
McMahon, “Jesse, that was a huge announcement!”
Ventura, “Hahaha! McMahon, I told you Hogan’s career was going to end this summer, and Andre is going to end it!”
McMahon, “Jesse, I don’t think so! I know we will talk more about this next week!”
