VTR: LAST WEEK ON POWER PRO WRESTLING
Gordon Solie is joined at ringside by Paul E. Dangerous, the crown jewel of the Dangerous Alliance ‘Dirty’ Dick Slater and his valet Dark Journey.
PAUL E. DANGEROUSLY: “First of all Solie, I’d expect a man of your reputation not sink to the level of these people by referring to this man as ‘Dirty’. Don’t do it again!”
DICK SLATER: “Solie, I heard you talking about how impressed you’ve been watching that no-good ‘Hacksaw’ Butch Reed grow from a youngster into a man. That’s the difference between someone like Reed and myself. I was born a man and I just got more manly every day of my life. Just ask Journey, if you don’t believe me! But I don’t have time to waste breath on men like Butch Reed, I’ll let my friend Hercules take care of trash like him. I think you know what I'm out here for, Solie.”
GORDON SOLIE: “I suppose you have a message aimed for the PPW Heavyweight Champion Terry ‘Bamm Bamm’ Gordy. Is that correct?”
DICK SLATER: “Right on the money, they don’t call you the Dean for nothin’. Gordy, I take nothing away from Gordy. Gordy, you are one big, nasty beast and you took down a very formidable foe in Don ‘The Rock’ Muraco at the Bruiser Bedlam. But, I made a prediction out here a few weeks ago. I promised I’d win the battle royal at the Bruiser Bedlam and that’s exactly what I did! I also promised I’d then take that PPW Heavyweight Title from around your wait. Like I said, Gordy, I do respect you but the fact remains that Dick Slater has your number and the number of anyone he steps into the ring with! So I wanna know Gordy, do you have the guts and the intestinal fortitude to put that PPW Heavyweight Title on the line against me at the Clash of the Titans? It’s time for the world to find our if you’re a man or just an overgrown punk kid!”
GORDON SOLIE: “My goodness! Strong words from Mr. Slater. I’m quite certain we’ll have an answer from PPW Heavyweight Champion Terry Gordy right here next week on Power Pro Wrestling. We’ll pause briefly now.”
END VTR
VTR: WELCOME TO POWER PRO WRESTLING
Henry Crown Fieldhouse - Chicago, IL
This week’s episode of Power Pro Wrestling opened up with ‘The Dean of Professional Wrestling’ Gordon Solie to rundown tonight’s show where we will see Rick and Scott Steiner facing off with a team of Woman’s choosing, and if they win, they will be granted a title match against PPW Tag Team Champions Death and Destruction at the Clash of the Titans. Plus, PPW Heavyweight Champion Terry ‘Bamm Bamm’ Gordy is here to answer the challenge of Dick Slater. Also in this hour, Paul E. Dangerously will have an exclusive interview with PPW TV Champion Shane Douglas in the Danger Zone.
GORDON SOLIE: “I will also be sharing a very exciting bit of news about Power Pro Wrestling’s expansion efforts ahead of the debut of ‘The Power Hour’ next month. And, might I add, we will have a special look at a man known the world over who is on his way to Power Pro Wrestling for the Clash of the Titans. However, at this time, let’s go up to Freddie Miller to announce our first encounter of the evening.”

MATCH #3: BIG STEEL MAN VS. FUJI YAMADA
This is the second week that we’ve seen the Big Steel Man here on Power Pro Wrestling. Before the bell, he drills a Fuji Yamada from behind with his helmet and then begins stomping on him in the corner. Referee James Beard reluctantly calls for the bell but warns Big Steel Man not to trying anything like that again. Yamada is hurled off the ropes, but ducks a Big Steel Man clothesline. The big man stumbles around and gets a dropkick to the chest. It has no effect as Big Steel Man drills Yamada with a clothesline that almost takes his head off. Yamada is scooped up and then planted with a running powerslam. A three count later and this one is over. Rather than have his hand waved, Big Steel Man hits a big elbow drop across the chest of the prone Yamada, and then another. Referee James Beard threatens to reverse the decision, and it’s only then that Big Steel Man backs off.
WINNER: BIG STEEL MAN

GORDON SOLIE: “I must say that I take umbrage of this Big Steel Man attacking his opponents after he’s already won the match. This is the second week it’s happened, and it seems totally uncalled for, in my view.”
(‘The King of Wrestling’ Harley Race enters to the left, this week wearing his crown.)
GORDON SOLIE: “Joining me at this time is a man who we heard from at the end of last week’s program. Due to time constraints, I was not able to ask any follow-up questions about his desire to challenge Terry Gordy for the PPW Heavyweight Champion. ‘Handsome’ Harley Race, welcome again to Power Power Wrestling.”
HARLEY RACE: “All due respect Mr. Solie, I think it’s only fair that you introduce me as the King of Wrestling because that’s exactly what I am.”
GORDON SOLIE: “Pardon me, the ‘King of Wrestling’ Harley Race has joined me. Now Mr. Race, questions continue to swirl over your statement last that you would like to be NWA World Heavyweight Champion once again, and how the PPW Heavyweight Title belonging to one Terry Gordy figures into your plans. Would you care to elaborate on your exact course of action?”
HARLEY RACE: “It’s very simple. I shouldn’t have to work my way up the ladder since I’ve been the NWA World Heavyweight Champion seven times, but what’s done is done. When Ric Flair comes to PPW later this year, I’m told that the man holding the PPW Heavyweight Championship will get the title match. Now I’ve beaten Flair for that title before and I can do it again, but I need the PPW Title to get that opportunity. So Gordy, if you’re going to accept the challenge from Dick Slater later today, know that I’ll be standing right behind Slater waiting for the next shot at whoever wins! It’s just that simple, Mr. Solie.”
GORDON SOLIE: “There you have from the ‘King of Wrestling’ Harley Race. We’ll be right back.”

Power Pro Wrestling returns with ‘Hacksaw’ Butch Reed standing alongside Gordon Solie.
GORDON SOLIE: “Welcome back to Power Pro Wrestling. With me at this time is ‘Hacksaw’ Butch Reed. Mr. Reed, I’m told the match has been signed and at the Clash of the Titans you’ll step into the right with the Dangerous Alliance’s enforcer Hercules Hernandez. It will certainly be the battle of the strong men.”
‘HACKSAW’ BUTCH REED: “Gordon Solie, you’re right that Hercules is one pumped up dude. But the Hacksaw ain’t no beanpole, neither. And unlike you Hercules, I actually have a brain and I don’t need a no-nothin' geek doing my thinkin’ and talkin’ for me. Just bring that little goof Paul E. to the Clash of the Titans - I’d love the chance to knock the smug right off his face!”
GORDON SOLIE: “You mention the Dangerous Alliance. What’s become increasingly clear is any man stepping into the ring with either Dick Slater or Hercules Hernandez must also contend with Paul E. Dangerously and Dark Journey on the outside. What is your strategy for counteracting this outside influence?”
‘HACKSAW’ BUTCH REED: “I ain’t worried about that geek Paul E. or Dick Slater’s heffer! They know what happens when you step to the Hacksaw, Gordon. I’m coming for a fight, and I don’t mind if it’s one-on-one, two-on-one or ten-on-one! The Hacksaw is walking out of the Clash of the Titans with his hand raised. Bet on it!”
GORDON SOLIE: “Thank you very much, Mr. Reed! Right now, we have a very interesting match set up in the ring. We’re going to take a look at the latest protege of Mr. Wrestling II - the All-American former Heisman Trophy finalist Ron Simmons!”

-
-
-
MATCH 2: RON SIMMONS (w/ Mr. Wrestling II) VS. MOONDOG SPOT
Mr. Wrestling II talks strategy with Ron Simmons before the bell as the All-American loosens up. Gordon Solie informs fans that II has previously mentored one-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion Tommy 'Wildfire' Rich and the former North American Heavyweight Champion Magnum TA. Moondog Spot is quite unpredictable and uses some clubbing forearms to knock Simmons off guard. The Moondog chokes Simmons in the corner, as Mr. Wrestling II shouts some strategy to his young protege. Simmons lands a forearm of his own, then drills Moondog Spot with the Mr. Wrestling II knee lift. Simmons gets down into position and then connects with a big football tackle! Simmons with the cover and the three count! After the match, Mr. Wrestling II raises the arm of the impressive Ron Simmons.
WINNER: RON SIMMONS

Woman is standing by with Gordon Solie here on Power Pro Wrestling now.
GORDON SOLIE: “Woman, last week you agreed to give Rick and Scott Steiner a title opportunity at Clash of the Titans if they defeat a team of your choosing tonight. I think the time has come to lay your cards on the table.”
WOMAN: “Oh do you? I like it when you give me orders, Gordie…”
(A grinning Woman runs her hands through an obviously uncomfortable Gordon Solie’s hair.)
GORDON SOLIE: “That’s about enough of that young lady. We’re hear to talk about tonight’s match, so let’s stick to that topic.”
WOMAN: “Awwww, you’re no fun! All right Solie, you want the big reveal? Fine. When Woman scouts for talent, she picks only the best. And I’ve found one of the great tag teams of all time. Come on in boys…”
GORDON SOLIE: “My goodness, the Assassin and the Super Assassin!”
THE ASSASSIN: “We meet again, Mr. Solie. It’s been quite some time. But let me assure you, the more things change, the more they stay the same. I am still the premiere masked wrestling in the sport, and I still only align myself with only the cream of the crop. Woman made myself and my partner quite an offer to come to Power Pro Wrestling. She’d like the Steiners taken care of, and when we do that, it will be myself and the Super Assassin who get the shot at the PPW Tag Team Champions. It’s an agreement that will work out quite beneficially for both parties!”
(Woman grins as she leads the Assassin and the Super Assassin away from the interview podium.)
GORDON SOLIE: “I must admit, I’m quite stunned. I’ve seen that man The Assassin carry out many a dirty deed in truly sadistic fashion over the years. I certainly hope the Steiner Brothers understand what they’re in for. We’ll find out later on tonight.”

Power Pro Wrestling returned with Paul E. Dangerously standing by on the set of the Danger Zone along with PPW TV Champion Shane Douglas.
PAUL E. DANGEROUSLY: “Welcome to the Danger Zone, my name is Paul E. Dangerously and I represent the Dangerous Alliance. People know that the Danger Zone is a place where the superstars of Power Pro Wrestling are asked the hard-hitting questions, and I've got more than a few this week! Now, I give you credit, Shane Douglas, I know interview requests have been coming at you right and left since Lord Humongous save you at the Bruiser Bedlam. I give you credit for entering the Danger Zone to tell your story!”
SHANE DOUGLAS: “First of all Dangerously, I told Ken Mantell I’d consent to an interview here on Power Pro Wrestling TV because it’s a way to speak directly to the fans. I certainly didn’t ask to conduct that interview you.”
PAUL E. DANGEROUSLY: “Real cute, Dynamic Dude. We all know you’ve been begging to get on this show for weeks! But… but… I’m not going to waste time embarrassing you. Let’s get right down to business. You were saved by Lord Humongous - a man who seems to be an unthinking beast - at Bruiser Bedlam and I wanna know why!”
SHANE DOUGLAS: “I understand the people have questions. I really do, but the fact of the matter is that it’s my personal business. It’s Lord Humongous’ personal business. I’m just not going to go into it on television.”
PAUL E. DANGEROUSLY: “Is that right? So you’re just going to waste time, is that it?”
SHANE DOUGLAS: “It’s not about you, although I certainly don’t owe you anything. This is a private issue. It’s not something for public consumption and I’m just asking the people to understand that this whole thing runs deep. I’m sure every single person watching tonight has personal business that they would never want to talk about on television."
PAUL E. DANGEROUSLY: “You twerp! Who do you think you are? You’re not going to clam up on my show, punk! I want to know - no, I DEMAND to know - exactly why Lord Humongous seems to be your protector!”
SHANE DOUGLAS: “I’m not going to talk about it. But I can guarantee you that nobody is Shane Douglas’ protector. That’s why I have this PPW TV Title. And speaking of this title, I have a defense right about now so consider this interview OVER!”
(Shane Douglas walks off the set and heads don to the ring for his scheduled title defence.)
PAUL E. DANGEROUSLY: “Who does he think he is?! Nobody embarrasses me! Turn that camera off! Turn it off!”

MATCH #3: PPW TV CHAMPION SHANE DOUGLAS VS. EDDY GUERRERO
It’s clear that Shane Douglas is a bit unsettled by all of this focus on his connection to Lord Humongous but there’s a reason he holds the PPW TV Title and he really turns up the intensity once the bell rings. Guerrero is a bit quick and almost scores a win with the Gory Special, but Douglas slips out of it. Douglas shoots Guerrero off the ropes, hits the opposite side and connects with a cross-body splash. Shane stays on top for the one… two… no! A masked man has hit the ring and just stomped Shane Douglas across the back. Douglas stumbles up and begins brawling with this masked man. It’s not long before Nord the Barbarian and Kendo Nagasaki hit the ring too and foul Douglas from behind while Ronnie P. Gossett waddles down to ringside.
Referee Tommy Gilbert calls for the bell. Eddy Guerrero is up now and he leaps at Nord, but gets caught. Nord hoists him up and drives Guerrero down into a brutal shoulder-breaker. Now, the masked man is pounding on the fallen PPW TV Champion. He’s directing traffic here as he directs Nagasaki to hold up Douglas. Nord then hits the ropes and drills Shane with a running boot to the forehead! Now, all three are stomping on Shane Douglas until we hear over the public address…
HERE HE IS! IT’S LORD HUMONGOUS!
The masked man, Nord and Kendo Nagasaki are ready as Ronnie P. Gossett scurries across the other side of the ring as Humongous barrels into the ring! Kendo charges first and eats a big boot. Now, the masked tries to jump Humongous from the side and gets swatted away. The fans are electric as Nord and Lord Humongous stand face-to-face. This is the showdown fans have been waiting to see! No, Humongous is grabbed from behind and he turns around right into…
THE GREEN MIST TO THE EYES FROM KENDO NAGASAKI!
Lord Humongous is stumbling around, unable to see! He’s swinging wildly but Nagasaki ducks and then sprays Humongous’ eyes a second time, this time with the red mist! Humongous can’t see, which allows Nord to hit the ropes with a head of steam with a running boot to the head! Down goes Humongous! Nord hits the ropes again, flies in the air and connects with the big knee drop across the chest!
Now, Nord pulls the big man up, hoists him into the air as the masked man dives off the top ropes for a spike pile-driver! These monsters have just laid out Humongous! Finally, Ron Simmons, Mr. Wrestling II, Doug Furnas and others hit the ring and run them off. Simmons and Furnas try to help Humongous but he can’t see at all and he’s swinging elbows left and right. Humongous is able to roll out to the floor and zig-zags up the aisle, falling to one knee on several occasions. In the ring, the wrestlers help Shane Douglas to his knees and sees Lord Humongous stumbling towards the curtain. Douglas rolls out of the ring and sprints after Humongous!
WINNER: NO CONTEST

Ronnie P. Gossett, Kendo Nagasaki, Nord the Barbarian and the masked man arrive at the podium.
GORDON SOLIE: “I have to tell you, sir, that I’ve see some low things in all my years in professional wrestling but what you and your men just perpetrated may well be the lowest!”
RONNIE P. GOSSETT: “Oh give is a rest! I warned that goof Humongous that unless he was with us, we was against us! I warned him not to get in our business! He was too dumb to listen so he deserves what he got!”
GORDON SOLIE: “You should be ashamed of yourself, sir! And this man with the mask... Who is this man?”
RONNIE P. GOSSETT: “Why don’t you show the world who you are, my friend!”
This masked man then whips off his hood to reveal the maniacally laugh visage of…
‘MANIAC’ MATT BORNE!!
GORDON SOLIE: “Matt Borne! I can’t believe my eyes…”
MATT BORNE: “Believe ‘em, Solie! HAHAHAHAHAA! I was called here! I received the message in my brain! The voice told me, he said, ‘Go to East and leave only destruction in your wake’. HAHAHAHAHA! The voice doesn’t lie to me! When I listen to the voice, I get one step closer to dining on the Betel Nut!”
GORDON SOLIE: “Wait just a second! The Betel Nut? I’ve heard that before…”
RONNIE P. GOSSETT: “Uh, don’t worry about him! He gets a little goofy sometimes! Now boys, follow me and we’ll go celebrate ending the career of Humongous! Douglas, you’re next, boy!”
GORDON SOLIE: “Something very strange is going on here, fans. Something very strange indeed…”

Power Pro Wrestling returns with a visibly shaken Gordon Solie standing by.
GORDON SOLIE: “Fans, I’m told that one Lord Humongous charged out of the building apparently still blinded with Shane Douglas after him. When we know more, we’ll let you know. We’re going to move along and before we get to our televised main event, I’d like to share some exciting news about the expansion of Power Pro Wrestling. The origanisation has enlisted one of the great promoters to head up this move, as well as negotiate with some of the top stars in professional wrestling to come here to Power Pro Wrestling. We’ll meet this gentleman next week, but right now we can take a look at one major star that Power Pro Wrestling has signed. This superstar has held the NWA World Heavyweight Championship and holds victories over many of the biggest names in professional wrestling, including Hulk Hogan, Jesse ‘The Body’ Ventura, Bruiser Brody, Jack Brisco, Olympian Ken Patera, Randy 'Macho Man' Savage, Terry Funk, 'Ravishing' Rick Rude, Andre the Giant and so many more! I’m happy to announce that at Clash of the Titans, we will see the Power Pro Wrestling debut of… Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler! Let’s take a very special look at Mr. Lawler at this time.

TV MAIN EVENT: THE STEINER BROTHERS VS. THE ASSASSINS (w/ Woman)
‘Welcome to the Jungle’ brings Rick and Scott Steiner into the auditorium on their Harley Davidson motorcycles. In the ring, The Assassin seems to be giving instructions to the Super Assassin. Rick and Scott Steiner clean house in the early moments and the Assassins have to regroup with Woman twice. Finally, Assassin manages to gain control of Rick Steiner with a shot to the throat and the Assassins use quick tags to keep the attack centered on Rick Steiner’s upper body. Assassin manages to hit a knee drop from the second rope and it looks like this is over, but Scott Steiner manages to make the save at the very last second.
Rick Steiner powers his way back to his feet, connects with a Steiner-line on Assassin and makes the hot tag to Scott Steiner! Scotty comes in like a house of fire and nails Super Assassin and Assassin with clotheslines and belly-to-belly suplex. After a few minutes of utter domination from Scotty, Rick Steiner tags back in and hits a running shoulder-block on Super Assassin, but Super Assassin manages to kick out of the pin at the last possible second.
Rick Steiner manages to plant Super Assassin in a belly-to-belly suplex at and goes for the cover, but Woman is distracting the referee! Super Assassin picks up her purse and enters the ring as Woman argues with referee Mike Fever. Super Assassin tries to blast Rick Steiner with the purse, but the Dog-Faced-Gremlin ducks and Super Assassin bashes his own tag team partner, Assassin, right in the face with it! The staggering Assassin then eats a Steiner-line as Mike Fever turns around and counts the one… two… three! The Steiner Brothers beat the Assassins and earn their shot at the PPW Tag Team Champions Death and Destruction! Woman isn’t pleased at ringside. Soon, she’s flanked by Death and Destruction on either side as they stare down the celebrating Steiner Brothers.
WINNERS: THE STEINER BROTHERS

Power Pro Wrestling returns with PPW Heavyweight Champion Terry Gordy joining Gordon Solie for our final moments.
GORDON SOLIE: “Welcome back to Power Pro Wrestlings. As you may recall, Dick Slater issued a challenge to this man, Terry Gordy, for the PPW Heavyweight Championship last week. We certainly wanted to give Mr. Gordy a chance to respond.”
TERRY GORDY: “Thank you very, Mr. Solie. You know somethin’ Mr. Solie, you’ve watched me for a long time, man. You seen me grow up from a loud-mouthed punk kid into the man I am today. Here I am, the PPW Heavyweight Champion and the #1 contender to the NWA World Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair. A lot’s changed in mah life, man. But I think you can tell these people that, whether it was then or now, Terry Gordy ain’t never turned down a fight!”
GORDON SOLIE: “I will indeed concur with that statement.”
TERRY GORDY: “Exactly right! Now Dickie Slater, Dirty Dick, Mr. Unpredictable, whatever you wanna call yerself, you challenged me to a fight last week. Dickie, I’m here tah tell ya, if you want a fight, boy, you got yerself a fight! You bring that dinky little manager of yours to the Clash of the Titans, and we’ll see if you’re as good as you say you are, man. In fact, you show up here next week and I’ll sign the contract in fronnah ya!”
GORDON SOLIE: “There you have, it! I’m sure Mr. Ken Mantell will draw up the contract for next week here on Power Pro Wrestling. I’m afraid we’re out of time here on Power Pro Wrestling. For Freddie Miller, this is Gordon Solie saying, the Prarie State.”
