Fuller said that it is the biggest week in the history of SMW's short time, and the fans sure don't want to miss this week of action if they're anywhere close to it! He then talked about the main events for each night of the tour...
Saturday night in Knoxville, Paul Orndorff defends the SMW Heavyweight title against Jim Duggan in a cage match, and Knoxville hero Doug Furnas will be honored at the show
Sunday night in Morristown will see Black Bart and the Deaton Brothers meet Scott Armstrong, Johnny Rich, and Phil Hickerson to settle the score in a "Stretcher Match" where each member of a team has to be carried out on a stretcher to be eliminated!
Monday night in Mountain City will be The Bullet facing The Mongolian Stomper in a Falls Count Anywhere Match
Tuesday night in Johnson City will have The Bullet and The Rock & Roll Express vs. The Mongolian Stomper and The Jive Tones in a Street Fight
Wednesday night in Kingsport will have The Jive Tones defending the tag team titles against The Rock and Roll Express in a Cage match!
Fuller went on to say that there are several surprises in store for the fans, and the only way to find out what those surprises are is to be at the show!
After all of that, Fuller said that fans all over the viewing area are wanting SMW to come to their town, and he promises they will be soon! He said plans are underway for a tour through North Carolina next month, and he'll give more details when he can, and for everyone to stay tuned over the next several weeks as details of the Hot Summer Nights tour will be announced! Two weeks of the hottest wrestling action anywhere coming to cities in TN, WV, VA, KY, and NC!!!
- Fuller drew today's TV Title challenger, and it is Denny Brown!
- Manager Ron Wright was out to talk about his Jive Tones keeping the belts in the cage match, and The Stomper finishing off The Bullet Monday night in Mountain City
- The Rock and Roll Express promised all the fans that they are bringing the gold back home Wednesday night in Kingsport
- Ivan Koloff said that Vladimir Pietrov's open challenge is till available if anyone has the guts to accept it. Vladimir wants competition, but isn't finding anyone worthy here.
- "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan said that Paul Orndorff has no where to run and no where to hide in Knoxville when they're in the cage.
Matches on this Show:
- Nelson Royal retained the TV title, beating Denny Brown with an Oklahoma Roll at 9:40...just before time expired. Royal needs one more victory next week to claim the $5000 bonus.
- In lieu of a match, a long highlight package was shown detailing the feud between Duggan and Orndorff
