MERCER: Welcome to World Class Championship Wrestling! We are days away from Valentine's Day International Star Wars at Reunion Arena! Many of the key participants in that spectacular are here on today's program! Let's open the show with a former NWA World Champion in action!
Giant Baba vs. Ted Allen: For the most part, a comedy match. When Baba finally does get serious, he scores a convincing win, pinning Allen after a neckbreaker. After the match, Mercer throws it to Mark Lowrance at ringside...
LOWRANCE: I am joined by a man who calls himself Eli the Eliminator. This man will be Giant Baba's opponent in just a few short days at Valentine's Day Star Wars...
ELI: He's a big man and he's got a big reputation. Can you imagine what a big deal it will be when I beat Baba? It will make headlines all over Japan! Not only do I plan on beating the legend, I plan on hurting him!

The Killer Bees (Brian Blair & Jim Brunzell) vs. Doug Vines & Chicky Starr: Vines and Starr have their moments, but a Jim Brunzell dropkick flattens Starr and sets him up for the fall. During the match, Mercer announces that the Bees will wrestle the New Breed at the upcoming Star Wars card at Reunion Arena on 2/14!
VTR: Mark Lowrance and Chris Adams are seated in a blackened studio. The American Title belt is on a table between them.
LOWRANCE: In just a few short days, Chris Adams here has the opportunity of a lifetime: A match for the NWA World Title against “Nature Boy” Ric Flair! Today, we will have the opportunity to hear from champion and challenger via a satellite hookup with Charlotte, NC where the World Champion is standing by! Mr. Flair, can you hear me?

LOWRANCE: We are only a few short days away from your return to Texas, champ....
FLAIR: And I want all those Dallas debutantes to be ready! 'Cause when the Nature Boy is in town, the party kicks into full gear! You can only imagine how Slick Ric celebrates Valentine's Day!
ADAMS: Maybe you'd better concentrate on our match, Flair, and think a little less about your love life!
FLAIR: Chris Adams, you are a fine athlete, my man, and probably the best wrestler the United Kingdom has produced since the great Billy Robinson! However, you are facing a man who can beat up a top contender in the ring, wine and dine all night long, take a 2 hour nap on the plane to the next town, and then, WOOOOOOOOOO, do it all over again! And maybe, you should worry a little bit about your love life! That little blonde wife of yours has been giving me the eye for years!
ADAMS: Flair, you're trying to play mental games with me! You're trying to make me angry so I'll make mistakes and play into your hands! Don't forget, Flair, that it wasn't long ago that I was using those dirty tricks! I can get just as down and dirty as you can! MERCER: Last week, we heard the announcement from Paul Jones and Gary Hart about the formation of J& H International. One of the top names affiliated with that organization is the man known as “the Latin Heartthrob”, Al Perez! Here's a musical look at one of wrestling's rising stars!

TITO: Ever since I came to World Class, Manny Fernandez has been picking a fight with me! He injured my ribs, but as you just saw, the ribs are healed and I'm ready for paybacks! Manny, you want a Barrio Fight! That's ok with me, Manuel!I'm a scientific wrestler, but I have never backed down from a challenge, any challenge! You wanna fight, Manuel? You came to the right place! Arriba!
Tony Atlas vs. Charlie Fulton: Newcomer Atlas, “the Black Superman”, takes on veteran Fulton.
During the match, a well built individual makes his way to ringside and struts around, yelling insults at Atlas...
Tony is distracted and it gives Fulton a brief advantage, but Atlas is just too powerful and finishes Fulton with a sleeperhold. Mercer speculates on the identity of the interloper at ringside as we go to a break...

LOWRANCE: I wonder if they had access to a mirror before making that last remark? Last week, the challenge came and at Star Wars, Sid Vicious, Wahoo McDaniel, & Blackjack Mulligan take on Big John Studd and two partners of his choice! Sid and Fritz Von Erich join me now!
FRITZ: Big John Studd shot off his mouth and now, he's going to pay the price! Sid may be green, but he has two of the most experienced and two of the toughest men alive today as his partners! Studd, it doesn't matter who you get for partners, you can't top what this young man has backing him up!
SID: Studd, I bodyslammed you last time we were in the same ring! That was before I was trained by three of the greatest wreslers of all time! Now, I'm pumped up and ready to fight a grizzly bear or a gorilla! It doesn't matter how big or bad your partners are! If Blackjack gets ahold of 'em or Wahoo hits'em with a chop, they'll go down!

Superstar Bill Dundee vs. Ken Timbs (w/Eric Embry): In a preview of sorts of the Texas Title match at Star Wars, Bill Dundee takes on Fabulous Blonde Ken Timbs. Despite Texas Champ Embry yelling encouragement and slapping the ring apron, the Superstar seems to be one step ahead of Timbs throughout the match. When Dundee sets Timbs up for the piledriver, Embry runs in and blasts the Superstar with the Texas title belt! Dundee wins by DQ, but it looks bad for him as the Blondes dish out punishment out to the tough Aussie! The crowd roars...Steve Simpson rolls into the ring, carrying a steel chair! The Blondes bail out! Steve Simpson stands tall as Embry picks up a mic!
EMBRY: Simpson, you stringy looking Jon Bon Jovi lookalike, you'll regret sticking your nose inn Blondes' business!

Terry Funk(w/Dory Funk) vs. Mando Guerrero: The Funks will defend the American Tag Title against Mando's brothers, Hector & Chavo at International Star Wars. Mando is on fire early on, using some lucha type moves and some of the holds that Gene LeBell taught him to keep former World Champion Funk off balance. Mando lands badly on a leapfrog and his ankle just crumples beneath him. Funk takes over and starts to work on the injured leg. Funk really does a number on the injured Mando and finally gets the submission via the infamous Funk spinning toehold. After the bell, Dory enters the ring and the Funks work over Guerrero's leg until Chavo & Hector hit the ring! The Guerreros run the Funks off and a lot of heat was just added to the American Tag Title match at International Star Wars! Chavo & Hector have to assist Mando back to the dressing room.
MERCER: I'm here with Gentleman Chris Adams, the American Champion and the challenger for Ric Flair's NWA World Title of Valentine's Night at Reunion Arena!
ADAMS: Bill, we're only hours away. Ric Flair is very cocky and he seems more worried about partying and women than the title defense! Well, I seem to remember another time the Nature Boy came to Texas and he was overconfident and bragging a lot! That day, Kerry Von Erich sent him back home without the title!
I'm confident that I can do the same thing! But, there's another similarity. Just like Kerry needed the support of every fan in Texas Stadium on that hot day back in '84, I'll need all of my fans to be at Reunion Arena cheering me on! With all of the great World Class fans on my side, I truly believe that I can beat Ric Flair!
