Chip Kessler handled the ring announcing duties and started the show off by asking the fans to welcome the new Smoky Mountain Tag Team Champions (Rock and Roll is King started blaring)……FROM RIGHT HERE IN THE VOLUNTEER STATE OF TENNESSEE, RICKY AND ROBERT……THE ROCK AND ROOOOOLLLLLL EXPRESSSSSSS!!!
- Smoky Mountain Tag Team Champions, The Rock and Roll Express defeated the masked duo of The Green Machines (Bugsy McGraw and Carl Styles) in 9:33 with a double drop kick on #1.
- Joel Deaton pinned Johnny Rich by reversing a cradle and grabbing a handful of tights at 10:21.
- Ivan Koloff and Vladimir Pietrov made their way to the ring to the sounds of the Russian National Anthem and waving the Russian flag high overhead. They got in the ring and awaited their opponents. Finally, the opening chords of Bruce Springsteen’s “Born on the USA” blared in the building and the crowd came alive! Corporal Kirchner and Ranger Ross made their way through the crowd with American flags and high fiving fans on the way. Once inside, they were immediately attacked by the Russian team. Kirchner and Ross had their moments early on, but in the end, Ivan wrapped his chain around his arm and blasted Kirchner in the back of the head with it leading to the pin. Pietrov hit him with a Russian Hammer for good measure before pinning him at 12:30.
- Scott Armstrong pinned David Deaton with a superkick at 7:56. Joel Deaton ran in for a two on one after the bout, but Johnny Rich was right behind him. Armstrong and Rich were getting the better of the fight until a big ol’ cowboy came to the ring with a big cowboy hat, wearing a duster, and carrying a bullrope with a cowbell on it….Black Bart hit the ring and nailed Rich with the cowbell, knocking him to the floor. He then blasted Armstrong in the face with it, drawing a lot of blood. Black Bart and the Dirty Deaton Brothers stood tall together before leaving.
Intermission
- The Bullet def. The Mongolian Stomper w/ Ron Wright by count out in 10:09. Stomper was on the apron choking Bullet (who was in the ring) from behind and got counted out. Afterwards, Stomper went bezerk at ringside throwing chairs and turning over a table.
- The Jive Tones w/ Ron Wright looked to be on a mission and defeated Nelson Royal and Sam Houston in 12:45 after a miscommunication led to Houston dropkicking Royal into a clothesline from Whatley for the pin.
- “Exotic” Adrian Street pinned Rip Rogers in 3:10.
- Smoky Mountain Heavyweight Champion “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff retained over “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan by throwing powder in his eyes while the ref was down after a bump, and then using the illegal piledriver to get the pinfall at 22:58.
